Cross-currency clearing problem

Hi,
Foreign cross-currency clearing btw USD & EUR is a business requirement for us (local currency is TRY). In order to do this right we maintain exchange rate table for cross currency rates btw USD & EUR. However in clearing transaction code (F-44), system calculates line item amounts as explained below:
"You can clear open items in any currency.
The amount of all the selected open items will automatically be translated into the currency in which clearing is to take place. The translation is executed as follows:
Item currency - Local currency - Clearing currency.
You are therefore not required to make additional entries in the exchange rate table for cross-currency clearing."
In this case, when we try to clear USD & EUR documents, amounts are not matching. Is it possible to calculate amounts displayed in clearing transaction accoring to cross currency exc. rates ?
An example i have is as follows:
Invoice Amount: 25,000 USD
Invoice Date: 1st May 2011
USD to TRY rate: 1,51410
EUR to TRY rate: 2,24960
USD to EUR rate: 0,67304
Payment Amount: 16,810 EUR
Payment Date: 5th May 2011
USD to TRY rate: 1,53060
EUR to TRY rate: 2,27630
USD to EUR rate: 0,67240
According to this example, if you try to clear invoice with payment on 5th May 2011 in USD, payment amount is displayed in F-44 as 24,999,74. In fact it is 25,000 USD if you use cross currency rate of 0,67240.
Regards,

Hi again,
Thank yoy for the advice but clearing in company code currency doesnt really work. Because there is difference in terms of comp. currency and this difference has to be posted to curr diff. gain/loss account. If we try to clear it remains in the vendor account.

  • Cross Currency Issue

    Hi All,
    Please clarify about Cross Currency.
    We are maintaining following currencies
    Company code Currecny    AED
    Global Currency                 USD
    Group Currency                 SAR
Exchange Rates table has been maitained for
AED (Company code) To SAR (Group)
AED  (Company code) to USD (Global)
We have also maintianed Exchange rate for
JPY to AED - for posting in JPY currency (Foreign Currency)
During Document posting in JPY currency, system is asking to maintain JPY to SAR currency.
My doubt, system should calculate automatically JPY to SAR
with exchange rates maintained in table for following.
    1) JPY to AED
    2) AED to SAR.
    Waiting for inputs.
    Regards
    Velu Mudaliar

You have parallel currencies (additional local currencies) activated.
There is no SAP terminology called Global Currency. SAP uses the terminology hard currency. When parallel currencies are activated, you have company code currency (AED) and 2 more currencies (Hard currency- USD and Group currency- SAR)
When the company is doing a foreign currency transaction (JPY), the system will do the currency translation as follows, since you have parallel currencies (additional local currencies).
    JPY to AED
    JPY to USD
    JPY to SAR
all currency translation at the same time.
SAP system will not use JPY to AED and then AED to SAR.
You need to maintain fx translation values from JPY to SAR as well, which will resolve your problem
The system has fx translation values from JPY to USD and hence it is not asking for the same.

  • Cross currency FIBLFFP bank transfer

    Dear Experts,
Our customer requirement is to post cross company code and cross currency bank transfer.
However FRFT_B can't enter the local currency amount. So I use tcode FIBLFFP instead.
    my questions are:
    1) since bank reconciliation (FF67 & FF.5) selects FI document by document currency (bank account currency), so the bank account with currency differs from the bank transfer document can't be cleared automatically and must use post-process in the next step which may incur unnecessarily gain/loss if different posting date from the bank transfer document.
Can SAP bank transfer post according to bank account currency?
    For example,
Transfer bank A (SGD) to bank B (USD)
    posting entries are:
    1) Dr cross company bank transfer    SGD
        Cr bank clearing A                          SGD
    2) Dr bank clearing B                         USD
Cr cross company bank transfer    USD
Currently SAP posts both into USD since bank account currency is in USD and local curr is SGD,
    2) once FIBLFFP is saved, system just posts with payment request clearing account and we have to do F111 again.
Is it possible to auto post the F111 immediately?
    3) How can we configure to select document for clearing when doing bank recon statement via local currency instead?
    Please kindly suggest.
    Rgds,

    Hi,
You have to configure Forex rates in OB08 screen.
As per your company code currency INR, you have to display the reports in INR correct.
    then configure like this
    1:1 USD to INR
    1:1 EUR to INR
    1:1 USD to EUR
    Try with this belwo scenario
Then post Transfer entry usitng T Code F-02 and enter Currency in you want to transfer
If you posted in USD then it stores with USD and report displays with INR
If you posted to EUR accnount then USD converts in EUR and stores in EUR account and report displays with INR
    Thankss

    Dear All,
    Thank you for your  reply.
Tax code for non taxble items  are already created and assigned to co.code. The error is showing tax code but  as per my analysis  it is not related to tax code. It is some how posting problem except this vendor rest of all vendors there is no  clearing problem.
My concern is why the document tupe "WE"  i.e MIGO document is coming vendor line items.

  • How to reverse cross company cleared document?

    Dear all,
Can anybody guide me how to reverse a cross company cleared document?
    Earliest revert would be grateful.
    Regards,
    Sudish

    Hi,
Go to the line items of the document 1000000502 and find out the clearing document number. Then reset the clearing in that clearing document number first and then reverse the document 1000000502 in FBU8
In case document 1000000502 does not have any cleared line item, then you can directly reverse it in FBU8 transaction.

    Hi,
not understanding customized installation instructions , customized means tailored by user , what does the meaning of customized context here? Some times before patching you need to back some custom files and/or customization done to some files.
Using PAA, You can put these custom instructions.
You said "when you run adpatch with preinstall=y, it checks if all the pre-requistes are met or not" but the same from above link says. You are right, the preinstall=y is used "during an upgrade or consolidated update".
    Pre-install Mode
Pre-install mode is generally used during the upgrade process to update AD utilities,
apply family consolidated upgrade patches, or work around other patching issues.
AutoPatch asks all startup questions except those relating to the database.
To run AutoPatch in pre-install mode, include preinstall=y on the AutoPatch command
line. It performs the following actions:
    ■ Compares version numbers.
    ■ Copies files.
    ■ Relinks FND and AD executables.
    ■ Saves patch information to the file system.
It compares vesion numbers, meaning checks for pre-req and does the required copying.

  • Unusual GL clearing problem

Hi all. We are using SAP ECC6 Fi Co Sd MM We use a single company code.
While trying to clear the GL outgoing Euro bank account using Tx F-03 our accountant is encountering a problem with 1 pair of documents. Both these documents were posted within a few days of one another, in the same period and at the same exchange rate. The Euro and GBP amounts on both are identical. He is entering the correct dates, currency and CoCode for that account. One document is a GL document (debit) the other a payment through F110 (credit). All other items in the account cleared without difficulty. Yet, for this pair of documents he is getting the following error: Consolidated companies WEL (our company code) and '' are different.
I have investigated the 2 documents thoroughly. Both posted correctly when entered and all company code references are correct. I have tried to enter the debit and credit lines manually, entering the correct company code in each case but the error message remains the same.
Does anyone know what might cause this error and if so how to fix it?
    Thanks in advance
    David

    Thank you for your replies.
Prasanna - Unfortuantely I have tried a variety of selections e.g. document, date, amount, etc but the result is the same. Neither of the documents is cleared in part or whole. Currency exchange is fine with both postings being in the same period at the same exchange rate.  But thank you.
Shivram - Neither of the document types has intercompany postings selected in the configuration. As we only have the 1 company code no postings are set as inter-company in SAP. On the GL document the correct postings have taken place between Euro outgoing payments account and Euro bank account. In the Payment document the postings are correctly between Euro outgoing Payments and the Vendor account in Entry view and between Euro OP and Trade accounts payable in GL view. All postings have worked correctly, it is only at the clearing stage that this problem arises.  But thank you for the suggestions.

  • Group currency update problem

    Hi FICO gurus
We have a problem of group currency update.
We have company code currency GBP and 2nd local currency activated (Group currency) also in GBP.
Now when we do postings in FI, some of the FI documents are not updating 2nd local currency amount (Group currency).
Hence while clearing the 2 or more line items in the same GL account we are having a problem of exchange rate fluctuations in group currency.
Does any one know why some of the documents are not updating group currency?
Do we need to really maintain OBA1 configuration (exchange rate derivation)?
    Thanks for your reply
    Mr GK

Does the ECCS ledger include group/ledger currency in the definition (CXL2)?
Another thing to check is that if the desired GC values are loade in before the translation. If so, the translation method can be changed to "do not translate" for certain items such as the P&L items. This way the values are not changed from the original ledger CAD values as a result of translation.

  • GR/IR Clearing problem

We are trying to match some old open items for GR/IR from the year 2003. We have tried using the T-code f.13 to clear them off but the program just doesnt pick up the documents. There are no error messages. We have also tried using f-03 & f-30, but it is of no use either. The documents just dont get picked up in these programs. I am using FS10N and in that it is showing up as open. I am able to view these documents in FB03 as open.
The documents are showing up as open in the GL account, but they are not getting cleared anyway.
    Few more details :
1st Document Type is 'WE' and the Transaction details are :
    Dr. Cost - $177
    Cr. GR/IR Account $177
We are trying to clear this with 2nd Document Type 'WE' and the transaction details are :
    Dr. GR/IR Account - $177
    Cr. Cost - $177
Both the transactions have been passed using T-code MIGO in the year 2003. We are trying to clear them off with eachother and netting them off to zero.
Need help in resolving this problem urgently.

In MR11 - I tried removing the Qty. var option. It was askign me to atleast select the type of surplus option. I tried both Delivery and Invoice surplus. Both the times I get the error as "No Data selected.....". However, the fact is that there is no delivery or invoice surplus for these items. They are just offsettings entries that need to be striked off as cleared in SAP.
I also tried usinf F-03 with amount option and Document date option. It just says "No data selected...".
Few facts about these entries :
    1. 1st document and 2nd document both have been passed using T-code MIGO in SAP.
    2. Transaction in the 1st Doc :
    Dr. Cost - $177
    Cr. GR/IR Account $177
    3. Transaction in 2nd Doc :
    Dr. GR/IR Account - $177
    Cr. Cost - $177
    4. These entries were passed in July 2003. And are still showing as open items in FBL3N for the fiscal year 2008.
    Please help.

    Dear Sweta,
I think there is no such a table, as you expect, existing in SAP. As I know here are the
most popular table about Accounting documents.
        Accounting documents
        BKPF                Accounting documents
        BSEG               item level
BSID                 Accounting: Secondary index for customers
BSIK                 Accounting: Secondary index for vendors
BSIM                 Secondary Index, Documents for Material
BSIP                 Index for vendor validation of double documents
BSIS                 Accounting: Secondary index for G/L accounts
BSAD               Accounting: Index for customers (cleared items)
BSAK                Accounting: Index for vendors (cleared items)
BSAS                Accounting: Index for G/L accounts (cleared items)
If you need information about open line items of a certain day, you have to use ABAP.

  • Currency translation problem for calculated key figure

    Hi All
I have a problem with the currency translation for a calculated key figure.
I have a requirement to show the MM consignment stock value in the specified currency from the selection screen.
For consignment stock, there is no value maintained in the system. So for this we need to calculate the value as below
Restricted key figure: RKFConsignment stock: Total stock with special stock indicator restriction "K"
Calculated keyfigure: Consignment stock value = Nodim( RKFConsignment stock) * (Standard cost / price unit).
Here, in the calculated keyfigure properties --> I have used a currency translation for the 0CALMONTH.
The query has selection on the 0calmonth.
But in the result the I am getting unexpected results.
Do we have any inconsistencies in the currency translation on the formulas?
    Please help me on this.
