Crystal report link Salesforce

I use the crystal report 2008. When I link the crystal report to salesforce, it need to input the server , user name and password. But I can't log in use my salesforce user name and password.
The server name: www.salesforce.com
Maybe the server name must be modified.
How can I link them? Thanks!

Crystal Report linked to a table with filter attached

I have a Crystal Report based on 2 tables and I want it to display every incident in the incident table and to pull the truckID of the
first truck on the scene from the truck table . So the finished product should look like this…
IncidentID IncidentNum ResponseTime First Arriving Truck Disctict

*The first arriving truck is the truck in the Truck Table with the same IncidentID and the earliest ArrivalTime. There will be multiple trucks for each incident but I want it to only show the one that arrived first (ArrivalTime). So one line per incidentID.

Truck Table (Will contain many trucks for one incident with the following info
Truckkey

I figure I probably need to build a formula with the min function or perhaps an OnCommand – I’m just not sure.
The biggest issue is the overall report has 4 filter settings. They can select a date range, a location, an incident type and a range for the response time. So I do this with the Select Expert
I can get all of that to work except I cannot figure out how to get it to pull the First Arriving Truck without duplicating the incident
line. Also, if there is a Truck with an ArrivalTime of Null I want it to ignore that Truck Table record.

You may try this:
1) Go to the Group Expert > Create a Group on the 'Incident ID' field from the Incident Table
2) Insert a summary on the 'Arrival Time' field and place the field on the Group Footer
3) Move all the fields from the Details section to the Group Footer
4) Go to the Group Selection Formula (Report > Selection Formulas > Group) and use this code:
{Truck.ArrivalTime} = Minimum({Truck.ArrivalTime}, {Incident ID})
5) Suppress the Details Section

Crystal Report - Linking tables

Hi all,
I had a look around for this subject matter but cannot find anything to answer my question. If you know where I can find the answer, please let me know.
I have 2 tables on Crystal Report and am trying to link the Primary table to the secondary one with a 'NOT EQUAL' link. ie. I want all the records in the Primary table (about 4000) which Do Not have an entry in the secondary one (about 3500) so I am expecting to get about 500 records.
I have tried with all the various link and Enforce Join options but cannot get the correct results.
I have also tried to link them with an Inner Joint of Equal Type then created a formula of Primary.key.field <> to Secondary.key.field but this is not working either as it returns no records.
Any idea?

Crystal Reports and salesforce integration question

I have a question about Crystal Reports connectivity to salesforce. We are running Crystal Reports version 14.0.4.738 RTM. When you create a new report and use the Database Expert, you can select www.salesforce.com as the data source. I would like to know if the built-in connection to salesforce is secure. Is our data secure in transit from salesforce to Crystal? Is my password passed in clear text? That kind of thing...

Pete,
As any SAP product Crystal Reports is going through users data security check before any new release. It includes any bult-in connection that comes as a part of product installation. Unfortunately I do not have any document for a reference, but your user password is not exposed in CR connectivity.
I think I should mention that prior to Crystal reports 2013 (version 14.1....) we used our own java based driver, but starting from CR 2013 we are outsourcing the driver to a third party and it is ODBC driver. It means the SFDC driver will automatically change if you decide to update your CR 2011.

Crystal report link between sales order and picklist

Hi,
Good day!
I am making a picklist document using crysal report. My requirement is to show the sales order number, cardcode, cardname, itemcode, released qty in the picklist. the tables i linked in crystal are the ff:
RDR1.DocEntry linked to ORDR.DocEntry and ORDR.DocNum linked to PKL1.OrderEntry.
I have a sales order with 2 items and then I processed picklist for it. When I run the report, my problem is that it shows the items twice.
Scenario:
Sales Order 1:
Item A 2
Item B 1
When I run the report, it's like this:
Item A 2
Item A 1
Item B 2
Item B 1
I'd already tried adjusting the links but still can't get it.
Please help me.

You do not have to purchase Enterprise or CR Server,
you save a lot on maintanance and support
you save on IT personnel

crysta reports.com is also more flexible in terms of investment, time period and number of users.

About the connection destination change of Salesforce of Crystal Report

There are three kinds of Salesforce about Developer Edition, sandbox environment, and deploy environment(operation environment).
In an in-house data base (SQLServer and Oracle), when it changes the database connectivility ahead, "connection string" is changed.
However, how should be changed the connection destination in the Salesforce driver of Crystal Report?
I can't found connection properties on Crystal Report for salesforce driver.

Hi, I am using salesforce.com group edition.
I have setup a crystalreports.com tab and have signed up for the free starter edition.
I can login to crystalreports.com. When I try to access my crystalreports.com tab from salesforce, it keeps asking me to register.
I called salesforce and they said this is an SAP issue.
Can anyone help me?

Crytal Reports and Salesforce Error message

I have the following applications loaded
Java: Java Plug-in 1.6.0_07
Using JRE version 1.6.0_07 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
Crystal Reports: Crystal Reports 2008 12.0
Driver: Salesforce Driver 3.0
Everytime I try to connect crystal reports thru salesforce I get the following error message:
Invalid argument provided, java server startup failure, verify the path (jdk), classpath,and IORfilelocation in the crconfig.xml file, In addition verify you are using JDK 1.5
I have tried backing up the Crconfig.xml file, and then deleting it, then deleting any old drivers I had and loading the SFDC 3.0 Driver, that did not seem to work. I also have removed crystal reports and downloaded again, that didnt seem to work either. I have also searched this forum for similar issues to no avail

Crystal Report does not run through NWBC

Hi All,
I have been going through posts on SDN all day and I cannot seem to get a resolution to my issue as yet.
Workflow is this
Logon onto NWBC 3.0
Click on Crystal Report. Crystal report contains an OpenDocument URL specified as follows:

When click on the Crystal REport link, i am SSO'd onto SAP BusinessObjects Infoview (Edge 3.1 SP3)
The Crystal Report attempts to load and then I encounter the following message:
Error
The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect.
SSO with SAP Authenication is enabled for SAP BusienssObjects.
Server-side Trust, etc has been set-up on the SAP Side
All steps were followed from the SAP BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solutions Installation and Admin Guide.
For the Crystal Report itself, within the CMC, for the Database Configuration i set it to 'Use SSO context for database logon'.
Also the the Data Source is using FQDN for everything.
I am at a loss as to why the SSO is not working to refresh the Crystal Report.
Any ideas on what to check next would be very much appreciated.
Also, the report I am trying to run from within NWBC, contains a dynamic prompt, that uses a BV layer to populate it. The LOV is scheduled to refresh every morning. Dont know if that is causing the issue or not.

Why has server side trust been setup on the SAP side ?
I am not sure why Server Side Trust has been set-up on the server side. The basis person who set that up was following the BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solutions Installation and Administration Guide. We thought we needed this in order for SSO to work between NWBC and BusinessObjects. I read now it is only required for multi-pass report bursting.
We have also set up the PSE as well.
So...perhaps an impersonation-style logon is happening on the SAP side because we have set up SNC?
What do we do to undo this from a BusinessObjects server perspective? We have downloaded all the Cryptographic Libraries, set them up on the SAP and BusinessObjects servers.
I will discuss this further with the basis person.

NWBC has been configured to issue a SAP logon token ?
I am not sure. Where is the documentation on how to configure NWBC to issue a logon token? Should I be pointing my basis resource to look at the NWBC Documentation, Section 7.3 Logon Tickets?
OpenDocument has been configured to use SAP authentication by default and to accept Logon token ?
Yes, everything from a BusinessObjects server perspective has been configured. The web.xmls for InfoView and OpenDocument have been configured for sso with sap.
In the CMC, SAP Authentication has been set-up and works a treat.
It seems to me the SAP side, ie. NWBC needs more work.
Just find it hard to get a clear, step by step process on how to set-up NWBC to work with BusinessObjects. There is an abundance of documentation, but sometimes not a clear cut, step by step guide.
Ingo I bought your book the other day too, Integrating SAP BusinessObjects 3.1 Tools with SAP Netweaver. I really liked it because it is clear what you need to do. Perhaps another one could be written or another section added to this book that talks about NWBC and embedding BusinessObjects reports within it?

You need to have the BusinessObjects Integration Kit for SAP. Integration Kit provides the database drivers and other features for reporting off SAP,to access sap objects into BO or Crystal Reports

Salesforce and Crystal Reports XI Release 2 Full build with Service Pack 2

Hi
I need to install 'Crystal Reports XI Release 2 Full build with Service Pack 2' (CR XI R2 SP2) on a new computer but can't find the exe/zip file used previously to do that.
The reason I need that particular version is because (as I understand it) its the version needed to interface with our Salesforce application.
I have the CRXI original disks and keycode but as I understand it no manner of patching with SPs will get me to CR XI R2 SP2.
I've tried various searches and frustratingly come up with only dead links (old BO forums and SAP forums).
Is there a live link somewhere that I can use, or will a later version do the job?
For example, alternatively, will I be able to use the CR XI R2 SP4 file instead?

Hello,
Crystal Reports XI and XI R2 are not supported on 64 bit machines. I have not heard of any plans to change this. As you've discovered - the only version of Crystal Reports that is supported on a 64 bit machine is CR.NET 2005 (v10.2), the version that ships with VS2005.
Your options are to downgrade your application to use bundled CR.NET 2005 or to deploy your CR XI R2 .NET application to a 32 bit machine.

Unfortunately those download sites have recently been removed.
I'll see if anyone still has them and if R&D can post them on our new Download page.
XI R2 is end of life and no downloads are available except the full install.

Crystal report(Can i link sub report and main report Compulsorily) - invalid path

hi.
i need small clarification.
i am developing one Crystal report
main report i took it from rdr1 one table...
report is working fine..
Sub report i took it from inv1 one table.
i have not linked any fields from these tables.
May be it is having links in b1..
but in my other report both the tables.... from main report and sub report does not have any relation.
My Questions is..
Can i Compulsorily link fields to main report...
if both does not have any relation what should i do...
i took two tables.
main report rdr1
sub report inv1...
if i run the report it is asking two parameters one is for sub report and other one for main report working find in crystal report.
but...i want to run the report in b1.
while importing i am getting the error (Plz have a look on below image)
if i choose any other report it is importing fine...
Clearly i am mentioning i dont want to link both tables there is no links between two reports...
in this scenario can develop a report..
