f it can then plz tell me the cases.

Hi
The system makes postings to GR/IR clearing accounts at the time of goods receipt. If, for example, the delivered quantity for a purchase order item is not equal to the invoiced quantity, there is a balance on the GR/IR clearing account.
The person responsible for account maintenance lists the purchase order history with the differences. In order to archive invoice documents, the difference must be cleared. If the balance is not cleared by more goods receipts, return deliveries, invoices, or credit memos, the person responsible for account maintenance has to clear the difference manually.
For GR/IR maintenance refer Tcode-MR11.
MR11 is designed to show the GRs that have not yet been fully invoiced and the invoices that have not yet been fully received.
In any normal business situation there will always be some invoices for items that have not yet been received and some receipts that have not yet been invoiced. But MR11 is designed to be used to clear the OLD ones that are probably NEVER going to be completed.
So you would run MR11 with a date in the past (a few months old normally) and anything that has still got a balance (either way) could indicate that you will never get these cleared no matter how long you wait.
So you can use this transaction to clear these documents.
The best way to use it is to run it firstly with very small tolerances (value and value percentage) and very old dates. For example any PO older than 6 months that has a balance of less than 10 USD. You would prepare the list intially (without update) and see the proposed effect. If you were happy with this you can then run it in update mode and clear those documents. This will post any outstanding values correctly and close down the PO.
For example if you had a PO where you had received 99 and the invoice was for 100, the system would increase the stock value of those 99 by 1 to reflect that we paid 100 for those 99 items (and close the PO)
Similarly if you received 100 and were invoiced for 99 the clearing would reduce the stock value by 1
Both examples are affected by the valuation type (Std price or MAP) but the end result is the same.
After running it like this with small differences, the only uncleared items left would be the recent ones, or the "old" ones that have a bigger difference. You can then run MR11 with larger tolerances, view what would happen and either re run the same selection with update instead of list and clear these.
You would eventually finish up with a manageable number of POs that don't balance and the value difference is quite large. You would then have to decide if you want to leave them as they are and wait for the open amount to be invoiced (or GRd), or you can manually clear them by selecting the individual line and then selecting the clear from the menu options.
At the end of this process you should only have POs that are awaiting further postings.
You would also have to financially clear the entries that have been cleared in MR11 but this would be via the normal financial clearing transactions.
reward if helps,
regards

  • Value difference for GR/IR Clearing Account in case of MIGO and MIRO.

    Diff (2219092-2214813= 4279)
Whereas it is taking Rs. 22,19,092
My concern is that GR/IR Clearing Account consider only Material cost and non deductible tax amount i.e. CST which is loaded on material cost but system consider some different values, please check the above calculation. When user post MIRO in that case system automatically konck off GR/IR Clearing Account and post difference amount i.e. RS. 4279 to Inventory Account which is wrong. I dont know how system behaves in such manner.
Please giude me on this issue as soon as possible.

  • Difference in Stock account , Custom clearing account

    Hi All.
I found the amount difference issue when GR document is reversed. The background is as follows.
    1. Material is procured from import vendor for which PO order currency is CNY.
    2. The conditions maintained in PO are indian standard customes conditions.
    3. After GR was made , user realised error and reversed the material document.
    4. Upon reversal it is found that
                      a. Stock Account adjusted with amount greater than GR account docuement.
                      b. GR/ IR account is perfectly adjusted as in GR account document.
                      c. Custom clearing account adjusted with amount greater than GR account docuement.
    5. Exchange rate is maintained properly for CNY to USD
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Deepak Dalvi

    Thanks for the reply.
POSTING date for GR and reversal document is same i.e today.  As I said in previous mail, the GR/ IR account is properly adjusted. Stock account and CENVAT account shows difference.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Difference in GR/IR freight clearing account

    Hello Experts,
I am facing a problem, wherein i am doing multiple Goods receipt on a different dates for a scheduling agreement. Freight rate maintained in Scheduling agreement is Rs 2.50 per 1 kg, so when doing goods receipt ie DCGR, freight clearing account ie GR/IR freight account gets posted with different values, for eg 1st DCGR doc gets posted at Rs 2.50 per kg, while sometime other DCGR document gets posted at Rs 0.50 per kg.
I wanted to know why there is difference in rates in GR/IR freight clearing account in every DCGR document, secondly what freight rate is taken in posting & how its gets updated?

  • To clear minor difference in GRC account

    Hi,
GR and IR giving a very small differences which somehow not due to quantity or not due to exchange rate.
    GR clearing 50.01
    IR clearing 50.20
    Difference of 0.19
So in this case, how can I clear the GRC clearing account?
As it is not due to quantity, i cannot use MR11.
Any transaction that I can use to set them off completely?
    Thanks

    Hi,
You can charge the difference in to Rounding difference account by using the Tolerance limits.  When you are executing E.13 select the check box of Include tolerances, then system automatically charge the difference in to Rounding difference account.
    Thanks

  • Clearing of GR/IR clearing account/small difference account

    Hi,
There is a huge amount (around 50 lacs) that is piled up in small differnce GL account (acount key - DIF) over the last 2 months. And as well if we check the GR/IR clearing account, it is more or less the same.
I've not used MR11 until now and so would like to know if this can be tackled with F.13 or MR11, if so what would be effect or in other words what should be my course of action.
I've tried checking some information, however as the time is very short and a scheduled month end is slated in other 3 days, I'd like to have some suggestions on this.
    Regards,
    Soujanya.

    Hi,
Owing to the nature of this account(expense account) please note that F.13 or MR11 will never clear it since they are meant for clearing only GRIR related accounts.
You have to options here in order to nullify the balance in it.
1.. To wait untill year end so that amount in it will automatically be closed to Retained earning account as soon as you execute FAGLGVTR.
2.. For immediate purpose charge off its amount to retained earnings.
Beside this you should find out reasoning why such an huge amount is standing in it.

  • Clearing GR/IR account differences

    Hi All
How to clear the imbalances in the GR/IR clearing accounts?
    Regards
    Rajesh

    Hi
If no more goods or invoices are to be received for a PO, then you must clear the GR/IR balance manually.
This can be done in different ways:
You can return the extra goods to the vendor
                You can cancel the invoice.
You can clear the GR/IR clearing account manually.
To clear the GR/IR account you can use the t-code MR11 - Maintain GR/IR clearing account
For more details on GR/IR account clearing, refer the PDF from the below link:

  • Issue in MODVAT Clearing Account and Rounding off of Excise.

I have one issue in MODVAT Clearing Account and Rounding off of Excise.
    Example:
    Material cost    100Rs.
    Excise  value
    1. BED             10.5 Rs
    2. ECes             2.1 Rs
    3. HEces          1.3.Rs
    At the time of GR
    Material Ac Dr          100
         To GR/IR                        100
At the time of Excise Capture
We done the rounding of Excise value
    RG23 A  BED         11
    RG23 A  Eces          2
    RG23 A  HEces        1
       To MODVAT            14
At the time of IR . System create IR with reference of PO
    GR/IR  DR      100
    MODVAT         13.9
        To Vendor         113.9
So here you can see that there is a difference of 0.1 in MODVAT account and hence we are crediting Vendor  with the lesser amount here with 0.1 RS.
So we cannot reconcile the MODVAT Account
Less Payment to vendor by 0.1 Rs
So is there any solutions on that.

  • MR11 GR/IR Clearing Account Maintenance

    Dear All,
Can anyone help me in understanding GR/IR clearing account maintanence,i do understand in case to nullify any negative balances we go for it, but want to know in details and when we do it for company code what is the impact it does have on accounts.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sathya kumar.

    Hi Satya,
Please go through the below paragraph , which is Self explanatory for accounting  posting while maintaining ( clearing ) the GR /IR balances.
If there is a quantity variance between the goods receipt and the invoice for a purchase order, this results in a balance on the GR/IR clearing account. The system expects an additional goods receipt or an additional invoice to clear this balance. If this is not done, you must clear the GR/IR clearing account manually.
For a material subject to moving average price control, the offsetting entry for clearing the GR/IR clearing account is posted to the stock account (provided that there is sufficient stock coverage for the quantity difference):
    •     If there is a delivery surplus on the GR/IR clearing account, the material was debited with too high a value when the goods receipt was posted. When the GR/IR clearing account is cleared, the material is credited accordingly.
    •     If there is an invoice surplus on the GR/IR clearing account, the material was debited with too low a value when the goods receipt was posted. When the GR/IR clearing account is cleared, the material is debited accordingly
If there is insufficient stock coverage for this quantity, only the portion corresponding to the available stock is posted to the stock account. The rest is posted to a price difference account.
For a material subject to standard price control, the offsetting entry to clear the GR/IR clearing account is made to a price difference account. Thus, there are no value changes in the material master record.
    Thanks & Regards

  • GR/IR clearing Account Issue

    Hi everyone
I want to clear my GR/IR clearing Account. As a result I have to run F.13, but after that when I am taking report from FBL3N, its showing some Doc. still open. Can you please help me out how I clear my GR/IR clearing account?

    hI,
Use T code MR11 to settle the GR/IR Balances as a month end or year end process or even to know the GR/IR Balances. From there you can post the differences. You can select the below option.
    Surplus type.
Delivery Surplus:Indicator used to select purchase orders with a delivered quantity that exceeds the invoiced quantity.
Invoice surplus:Selection of all purchase orders with an invoiced quantity which is larger than the quantity delivered.
    Clear
    GR/IR Clearing Account Clearing
    Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS)
    Clearing of Delivery Cost Accounts

  • GR/IR clearing account not getting cleard

    HI Experts,
When I am trying to clear the GR/IR clearing account it is giving the message as Difference is too large for clearing.
Actually here the balance is less 1 Rs. For purpose I have defined the clearing differences upto 10 Rs in Transaction code OBA0.
Here I have mentioned the tolerance group and the same is assigned in the GR/IR clearing account.
Secondly I have defined the clearing rules as clearing based on purchsing doc (EBELN) and item (EBELP).
Even though I am getting the same error as Difference is too large.
Can any one please guide the right process
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ram

    Hi,
Tolerance Group is defined at different levels.. 1) For the GL 2) At the employees level.. Therefore, no matter what you maintain at the GL level.. if the tolerance at the Employees level is less than what you have maintained at the GL level.. the Employees level will take precedence. So check the tolerance limit at the Employees level and probably you will get answer for the error.

  • Purpose & usage of t.code MR11(Maintain GR/IR Clearing account)

    Hi All,
Could you pls let me know the Purpose of the T.Cde MR11(Maintain GR/IR Clearing account) and how do we use it.
Is that only to verify and post the valiances between GR & IR.
Rquest for quick help as we have user training tomorrow.
    thank you
    Chandu

MR11 is used to clear quantity difference between GR and IR.
Some time we may have delivery surplus or Invoice surplus this lead to credit or debit balance in GR/IR account for specific PO.
For e.g. you have PO for 10 quantities at price RS 100 per Unit.
You received GR for 8 Quantity and invoice for 10 quantities.
GR/IR account has Debit balance for Rs 200 because of above business scenario. Suppose after few days or months you realize that vendor is not going to send remaining 2 quantities for which you have already invoiced and paid.
Now you clear GR/IR account through MR11 by updating the stock value if there is enough stock coverage to the value of 200, if there is no enough stock coverage then difference is posted to price difference gain or loss account.
