Crystal Reports in JSP web application

Hi,
I am using crystal report in my jsp application...
Now there is a problem with me. I want use more than one tables in the report.
The report is working with single table when i am calling from jsp.
When i am using two or three queries i cannot pull the report..
I am taking the two tables from crystal report as follows
String tableName = reportClientDocument.getDatabaseController().getDatabase().getTables().getTable(0).getName();
String tableName1 = reportClientDocument.getDatabaseController().getDatabase().getTables().getTable(1).getName();
And i am getting the names of the tables used in reports..
But when i am setting the data source i am getting exception in the second line....
reportClientDocument.getDatabaseController().setDataSource(resultSet, tableName , "Command");
reportClientDocument.getDatabaseController().setDataSource(resultSet1, tableName1 , "Command_1");
The exception is as follows....

Error when Opening a Crystal Report in a Web Application

Hi All,
How are things?
We are trying to open a Crystal report in a Web Application based on a Web service on Appache Tomcat.
The report is in the Test Environment poiting to a SQL 2005 Database.
The report opens and runs fine in Crystal Reports and in Infoview.
The Web application throws back a long error as shown below.
Looks to be like a SDK Issue ( Not pretty sure )...

Is it possiable to generate crystal reports from JSP web application.
Please provide me information on this.
From google i found some info

CRDB_JavaServer.ini file is missing in linux (for Crystal reports designer in Rational Application developer)

Hi I am trying to design crystal reports in rational application developer on linux. But I cannt find CRDB_JavaServer.ini on linux. This file is present in Windows in c:\program files\crystal decisions\2.5\bin path.But I cannt seem to find this file in linux.I am running RAD 6011 ifix001,ifix002 and can see the Crystal Reports JSP Tags drawer in JSP design view.But I cannot find "Crystal report" as one of the file types , when i right click on WebProject\WebContent folderto create a new Crystal Report in my Web project. Any help would be much apprecated. robin. 

I don't know much about this and I'm assuming you already did a find or locate command.Did you find a CRConfig.xml. This file had replaced the old CRDB_JavaServer.ini in newer versions. I'm not sure which one IBM was using for this build. If you have a support contract with IBM I would suggest talking to them as they handle first line support for this. Using Crystal reports in JSP

Hi,
I want to use Crystal report in jsp . I am running the jsp files in tomcat apache4.0 server.
while executing the jsp files in tomcat , following class files are not being found:

The jars should be in your installed Crystal Reports folder( \Crystal Decisions\..\java\lib or something like that...). The problem is that your server (Tomcat and others) ignores the system classpath completely (it sets its own in its startup script).
Therefore, in order for Tomcat to find the jars, those jars have to be placed in in %CATALINA_HOME%\common\lib\. There, they will be available for all your applications. If you don't want them available globally, put them in your particular webapp's WEB-INF\lib directory.

ReportClientDocument So this class isn't found, probably because it's not in the server's classpath.
If you really can't recognize a basic compilation error like this, you might re-consider your place in the JEE world.

I am having this exact same issue, only on an ASP.NET page. I can print the report, but it does not display at all.

To integrate a web report in a web application

i have created a web report using ReportBuilder (wizard).
i have saved that file as a jsp,
my question is can i integrate that web report in any web application ,if yes how? plz let me know.

Hi Abdul,
The answer is yes, you can integrate your report in any web application as any other normal JSP. You can package the JSP as part of a WAR and deploy it on an application server. The only requirements are:
reports_tld.jar must be available to the application. You can put in inside the WEB-INF/lib directory of the web application.
Reports Server must be available to the JSP. If you are using Oracle9iAS for deploying the JSP, the Reports server is automatically available. If you are using some other application server like WebLogic, you can use the J2EE Thin Client (http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/examples/Tools/index.html)

I never really had much luck with this approach.
Mind you I was using Crystal Reports 10, and as far as I recall it didn't allow setting/changing of database at this level.
Things to check
- can you create a database connection on your page with this URL/username/password?
- what server are you using? Tomcat? WebLogic?
I found this in your other post:
Connection Information: {Server Name=ee6rpt, Connection String=DSN=s(ee6rpt);User ID=s(ee62test);Password=;UseDSNProperties=b(false), Database Name=, Database DLL=crdb_odbc.dll}That would indicate it is using odbc to connect to the database (crdb_odbc.dll). ODBC is a bad idea with java.
The way I have got it to work for me (after much trial and error) was to in Crystal Reports to connect using the Oracle Driver, and specifying a tnsname - eg define REPORT_DS in tnsnames.ora.
When running through the JRC, it looked for a JNDI datasource under that same name "REPORT_DS".
Don't know if that will help you or not.

Error when trying to deploy crystal reports to a web site

I'm using VS 2008. When I add a Crystal Report page to my application I get the following error.

I also encountered problem: Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=10.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
I try to install the CRRedist2008_x64.msi in our web server. And its ok. But my problem now is the report i created in VS 2003. The error now is:

Do you have subreports in your reports?
If yes, set the connection info for the subreports as well.

Crystal reports deployment on web server

I include crystal report on my asp.net application(.NET 2008). Its running well at my development machin but when I'm trying to run from my web site its not showing report. I search for help in google but getting only one suggestion to install "CRRedist2008_x86.msi" file on the server. but I dont have previlige to install any application on my server. Cant I have any option without installing the file i can have crystall report on the web.

I already asked to my ISP provider but they told me that already they have crystal report installed. but in my local machine application is working fine, when I'm deploying my application on the web then its throwing error. Giving the stacktrace below as you can identify the problem easily.

Crystal reports and JSP

Hi there, I would like to call crystal reports from JSP. How can I do that?
My system is:
Webserver: iPlanet 4.0 SP4
Crystal reports: 8.5 Developer version
Database: Oracle 8i version 8.1.6
S.O.: Solaris.
I tried the documentation from Seagate but there isn't examples and explanations in how to do this.
Do I need some component? Where can I get it, if I do?
