CrystalReportViewer opens with no scroll bars: report not viewable

Hi group, thanks for reading my question. I am writing a winforms app using Visual Studio 2003, VB.NET, CLR 1.1, Crystal Reports 10.The app has an MDI container. It has a set of children that are standard winforms - read/write data to a database. There is also a Reports menu item that allows users to open up some local Crystal Reports in a winform which nothing but a CrystalReportViewer control in it. The code hands the report a dataset which forms the report source. When I have one of the standard winforms open, and it is WindowState.Normal, everything works OK. But if the other winform is Maximized so that it fills the MDI container, opening the window which contains the CrystalReportViewer control results in the report being off-center, and no scroll bars appearing in the viewer. The user can never see the full content of the report on their screen. This is reliably recreating on a Windows XP SP2 and a Windows Vista Ultimate machine. Like clock work: maximize any other MDI Child -> open the report form -> malformed report. Normalize the MDI child -> open the report form -> properly formatted report. Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.
*View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Command+0 on Mac)

If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the default minimum setting "none" and the default font size 16 in case the current setting is causing problems.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

Firefox crashed yesterday and today it opened with the scroll bar on the left side, not the right. How do I fix this?

Firefox crashed last night as I was closing it down. Today, when I started up my laptop and opened firefox, the scroll bar was on the left. I'm not sure how to move it back to the right side of the page.

Fix Chrome? CP opens in a small window with a scroll bar

I have CP presentations that previously worked and they have started to open funny. They work in IE, but not in Chrome. The presentation opens in a full screen, but with a scroll bar and the right and only showing about 1/4 of the screen. See attached screen shot. Any ideas?

So it could be 2 things:
The HTML scaling that is causing your project to expand, and then add a scrollbar as the frame you are viewing your content in is expanding to suit the screen size. When you publish try unchecking the "Scalable HTML Content" checkbox from the publish settings.
It could be the projects Zoom settings, if it is a flash module. Just right click and ensure its not zoomed.
The thing that has me stumped is why it is only loading 1/4 of the screen.

Scroll bar does not scroll far enough to view last page in thumbnail images

When using Adobe Acrobat, and have the thumbnails/pages panel open on the left side, the scroll bar will not scroll far enough down to show the last row of thumbnails. For example, have a 40-page document open with the Pages Panel open showing page thumbnails in rows of 3. When the scroll bar reaches the bottom, the last row shows pages 37, 38, and 39. Where is page 40? If you look closely, you can see a sliver of the top of the thumbnail below page 37. There is no way to view the thumbnail because it is at the bottom of the list, and your scroll bar has reached its end.
Is it confirmed that this is a bug in Adobe? If yes, is there any hotfix available for it?

Horizontal Scroll Bar does not show

I have a method which creates a table with values and displays it in a dialog. However, the horizontal scroll bars do not appear, even though there is are columns that are not seen in the view. Here is my code:

You need this
tableA.setAutoResizeMode(JTable.AUTO_RESIZE_OFF);
otherwise it will always try and fit the table to the space available

Scroll bars are supposed to appear when needed.
For example, scroll bars will appear when you zoom in on a page.

Vertical Scroll bar does not appear in table control

Hi ,
I have a table control with both vertical and horizontal scroll bars.
The data which comes is always more than 50 and the visible line size is 8.The vertical scroll bar
does not appear at times..but if i run the program again, it appears..
Sometimes it appears and sometimes no vertical scroll bar comes thought the data is more than the visible lines.
Any suggestions ? why is this happening?

You have inserted data in the internal table and not "informed" the table control
In the PBO, use a statement like
DESCRIBE TABLE <itab> LINES <control>-lines.

Firefox menu bar appears- file/edit/history etc but the actual page with the search bar does not appear and is blank

when clicking firefox icon to open the internet, all that appears are the options along the top of the page. the rest of the screen does not appear revealing the desktop picture. The firefox page with the search bar does not appear.

Brand new 27" iMac scroll bar does not appear

Scroll bar does not appear in almost any window. To make it appear, one way I make it appear is to grab the lower right hand corner and move the window size a little bit. The scroll bar appears. But when I try to then grab the scroll bar, I must stay INSIDE the window as I move my cursor toward the scroll bar.
Sometimes swiping down on the cursor to move the page down, the scroll br will appear.
But there is a basic problem. The scroll bar does not appear without EXTRA moves of some kind to make it appear.
By the way, the scroll bar in the window I am in RIGHT NOW is appearing without EXTRA moves.
An Apple Tech wen through this with me on the phone and could not resolve the problem
This is the FIRST problem I have had in TWENTY NINE YEARS that Apple Techs could not solve for me.

Are you asking about viewing your Notes on https://www.icloud.com/#notes on a Mac?
In Safari the scrollbar will appear, when you start to scroll the note list with a trackpad or a mouse.
In the Notes.app the scroll bar will always be visible, if you enable the scroll bars in System Preferences > General > Show Scroll Bars > Always
In the Notes-app the list can be sorted by title from the "View > Sort by" menu, but on icloud.com I do not know of a similar option.

The horizonal scroll bar is not there on some websites.

I know there is content to the left or right of the screen portion I can see because I can get to it using the arrow keys on some websites. On other websites, the arrow keys don't move the screen but I know there is content over to the side because I can see the edges of pictures and buttons.
I tested two other browsers on the example website I referred to above. Internet Explorer does not have the problem, Chrome has the same problem with the scroll bar as Firefox does.
This problem is tolerable on the websites were the arrow keys are a substitute, but on other sites, it makes the website useless.
I have disabled all browser extensions and that did not solve the problem. Changing screen resolution has no effect on the problem. I am using Windows XP on a ten year old desktop. Windows updates are installed automatically.

You have solved the problem. It is just an oddball glitch in code of that website and a few others, or in Firefox. Following your suggestion, I used the Ctrl+ and Ctrl- function on the example website. Repeated use of the Ctrl- reduces the content down to a size that can be viewed without scrolling, and there is, of course, no scroll bar. Then I used the Ctrl+ function and increased the size of the content so that it is bigger than the physical screen. At the point, the bottom scroll bar should appear but does not. However, if I keep going with the Ctrl+ several more times, increasing the size of the content, a scroll bar eventually appears. Strange, but harmless if you know the work-around.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
Delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
* Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note).

My Scroll bar does not retain its position after pack in my application.
But i need to retain its state.
My code snippet is :

My VAlue printed is 100.
But my positon of scroll bar is at 0 th location.

I have a problem like this, I am migrating one menu file from a forms6i to 10G after that i tried to put that menu in the form then i found that the menus are coming with the scroll bar is there any parameter so that i can set that to false so i can see all the menus at one time.
