    Hi!
how can we maximize mdi window in 10g?

This has to do with bug nr. 2696694
    Hello,
This problem is described in bug:2696694 - FORMS MDI WINDOW MAXIMIZE NOT WORKING PROPERLY USING SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY.
This bug has a base bug.
"If you use the maximize icon at the top right hand corner of the MDI frame it does seem to
size the window correctly, taking into account the startbar at the bottom on win2k. However when we initially maximize it by calling set_window_property(forms
_mdi_window,window_state,maximize)it doesn't take into account the startbar. In
fact it doesn't appear to be maximized according to the state of the 'maximize'
    icon. "
So "Forms is not using this capability when calling set_window_property(forms_mdi_window,window_state,maximize).""
I tried to set window height and width using Set_Window_Property, but the result was the same.
So I'm afraid all you can do is to use the workaround suggested in the 1st bug, i.e.:
".. click the little window, the icon changes to "two overlapping little windows" and the desi
red effect is given which shows both the windows task bar "
I know that this is not a good suggestion, but that's all I can suggest.
According to the text om metalink refering to the bug (2696694), the bug awaits resolution.
Is there another JVM/ another Jinitiator version available that will let the applet window maximize. Sofar I wasn't able to find a good work around.
Thanks in advance for yous suggestions.
    Regards,
    Thomas

  • When a window is open and I try to go to a new bookmark or a link in an existing site, the new window opens behind the old window.

It isn't every time, and sometimes doesn't happen for a long time, then I'll go to a bookmark or toolbar link and the new window opens behind the one I was on. Example: I just opened a second window (CTRL N) and clicked on a bookmark. It opened a new window behind the one I'm on as I type this. I did the same steps again and it opened the new window in front of this one. It doesn't seem to make any difference which site I start from or go to or if I use CTRL N or let the bookmark do the opening.

This can happen if you have a tab open in the main browsing window that uses the plugin-container process (e.g. Flash).

  • New Window Opening Behind Browser Window

I have produced a page in DW3 for an artist where you click
on a thumbnail and it opens a new window with an enlargement of
that image. (I use the DW3 javascript behaviour to do this).
When I test it on my browsers the windows open in front of
the main browser window and all is hunky dory.
When my client does the same, she claims that some of the
windows open in front of the main browser window but some open
behind the browser window and are obscured. She says she perceives
a "flash" if the new window opens behind the browser window. She is
    using Firefox 2.0.9.17
Has anyone experienced this behaviour and figured out a
    fix?

Usually the user/browser decides where new windows/tabs will
    be opened.
But why open a new window at all? Why not use something like
    Litebox?

    hi cg soft.
welcome to our little, quiet sea-side developers community. (where people are nice and the pharmacies are open late)
i can't understand whether the problem you're describing is in regards to a custom made window (pop up), a palette plug-in, or the ECW.
this is a long thread that deals with a lot of different issues, but also goes into details on creating os level windows:

at the end if it you'll find this very useful video, courtesy of gutsblow:

if you're not dealing with an os level window then... what exactly is the problem?

http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-25719 - The gripper does not show up in an MX Window that is mirrored and using flex chrome
Added an mx_internal property to Button to track if the Button should modify the layoutDirection of its skins. MX Window and MX WindowedApplication both set this property to undefined. This is the only skin/icon in the halo and spark framework that inherits its layoutDirection from its parent. All others have layoutDirection of LTR.

I am sorry but this leaves me in the dark. On the site mentioned above I cannot

Although I did install subversion 1.4.4 from the source distribution I do not

  • Active Window Appears Behind other Windows on W2K8 R2 RDS Server

We are using a W2K8 R2 server running RDS and Xenapp 6.5. While using IE 10 and selecting the print option which calls the Crystal Reports Print Control 14 download control for IE 10 the print setup window appears behind all other windows. I have some
other applications that place the active window behind other windows. I tried the reg fix but that didn't work.

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
As you have commented the issue appears from single user, so try to delete the user profile cache and see whether it can resolves the issue. Also you can remove all the permission assigned to that users for a try.
You can delete user roaming profile cache as follows.
To resolve this issue, add a REG_DWORD value named DeleteRoamingCache to the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\DeleteRoamingCache
Set the value data to 1.
After this restart the system and try to login on system and also try to login faulted users on other system to check the result.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • New window opens behind, etc.

I'm running Safari 4.0.5. Several things are happening. I can't launch Safari directly from the dock. The Safari icon on the dock open a finder window with the Safari icon, from which I can launch Safari.
After several minutes of inactivity, the address bar will not accept input. Clicking on the bar moves the bar. I'm lucky if re-launching Safari solves the problem. Then there are the windows. When I click on a link, the new window opens behind the old one. Clicking on the window does not bring it to the front. I have to move the original window out of the way in order to enter text or click on links in the new window. Sometimes, the dock indicates Safari is running, and there is a Safari window open, but not active. Clicking in the window does not make Safari active. Sometimes Safari is active and I want to go to the Finder. Clicking on the desktop does not take me to the Finder.

    HI John,
Move the current Safari icon off the Dock. Just click and drag the icon straight up until it goes "poof".
Now go to your Applications folder and try launching Safari from there. If you can, then you will see a new Safari icon in the Dock. Click that then click: Options/Keep in Dock. or just Keep in Dock.
You may need to reset Safari and empty the cache also.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset. Relaunch Safari. If you still have problems...go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem. Safari: Add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
Make sure Safari is not running in Rosetta. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle so it faces down. Where you see Open using Rosetta... make sure that is NOT selected.
If you still have problems, go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. If it's a successful launch, then that .plist file needs to be moved to the Trash.

  • Window with no taskbar entry, both JWindow and undecorated frames dont work

I wanted to create a borderless, window without a titlte bar, with no task bar entry, so as in JDK 1.3, I created a JWindow and it worked pretty good. Now that I have upgraded to JDK 1.4, it turns out that in order to get a focus to components with JWindow, you need to pass in a controller frame in the JWindow constructor, and this controller frame has to be made visible for the components within the window to have focus. Now that I pass in a controller frame to the JWindow constructor and make it visible, I see an icon for the window in the taskbar.
The new way to create borderless window in JDK 1.4 is to create an undecorated frame, but for undecorated frames an icon always appear in the task bar.
Anybody knows how to have a borderless window without a title bar and task bar entry in JDK 1.4. Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

try creating a JDialog and call setUndecorated on it. I think Dialogs don't add taskbar entries.

  • Test window opens behind panels

A lot of times with I test in CS3, the test window opens
    behind the other
panels. I have to quit and restart to get it back to opening
    in front. Is
this a but they are still trying to fix?
I've checked for updates and I have the latest.

I'm having the same issue. It seems the docked panels are
taking display priority. Very strange. If I click on the test movie
window title bar, it comes to the front, but as soon as I try to
interact with the player, it snaps back behind the rest of the
interface. The only solution is to restart Flash, which is quite

  • XFCE4 Windows open behind panel

I am having an annoying issue with XFCE4 + compiz + emerald. I've had this issue with a few panel applets, where the window will open partly behind my XFCE panel. Right now I am having the issue after installing PNmixer, as shown in this screenshot:
    http://i.imgur.com/nonxM.png
No matter what I do it opens in that same spot. I also had this problem with the orage calendar, but was able to fix it by using the compiz move window shortcut and moving it into a better spot, and then the application remembered it. No such like with this, as I can't use the move window shortcut on it (if I use any keyboard shortcut on it it just disappears, even if I set the shortcut to a single key rather than a combination)
Is there anyway to fix this? Not sure exactly whats causing it.

Not a solution to the actual problem but it will eliminate windows showing behind the panel.
Use workplace margin to create a space equal in size to the top panel.

  • Image window maximize over title bar and tools

    Hi,
im working on a PC , with windows 7, with photoshop CS5
i searched everywhere for answer , but none was given..
people did mention this problem, but for different photoshop versions , and, i had it good till i dont know what happened and changed it, so i believe it is fixable but people understood it wrong.
anyhow, the problem is, when you try to maximize the image window (assuming you changed it from tabs), the window maximize all over the screen, over the tools and title bar.
instead of staying inside the workspace.
as i mentioned, it used to be like it , but something happened and now its all over the thing.
i tried double click the hand tool, all sort of things with the "F" and Tab shortcuts, the arrange documents thing on the top, even trying to restore default setting but nothing really did the trick.
i tried to look for something called "Application frame", that somehow suppose to do just that, under window->Application frame, but its not there.
again, it used to be ok so i know there is still hope..
here it is restored, under "fit screen" option, notice it only get the hight right, i would not call it "fit screen" but what ever..
red circels show the title bar and tools.. very nice and cool.
and this is when i hit the maximize button and unleash hell, red circles are where the title bar and tools were, not so nice and cool..
i noticed none of the others gave pictures, so i gave it a go..
please help, there are no words to describe how annoying it is.
    thank very much in advance.

If you want the Photoshop main window components to remain visible, either right-click on the image with the Zoom Tool selected and choose "Fit on Screen" (which really fits it inside the Photoshop workspace), or use Tabbed View.
Pressing Control-0 (control zero) is a shortcut for Fit to Screen.
I have no idea why Adobe changed the behavior.  Perhaps people reported that it was annoying to have the maximize window button not actually maximize the document window to fill the screen, which is really what it's supposed to do.

  • Windows 10 hiding taskbar in multi-monitors setup bug.

This bug persists since windows 8.1 and is already discussed
here, but it wasn't fixed in approx. half a year :( So, I'm gonna give it a try here.
Here's the screenshot of it in Windows 10.
Well, the bug is with incorrectly disappearing taskbar - taskbar "hides" not in the bottom of the screen, but "taskbar height pixels" higher (see the images in onedrive folder below). It hides in such a way only when you go to start screen
with visible taskbar, wait until it disappears and return to desktop in any way (by pressing the win key, by selecting desktop on startscreen or by clicking the windows logo in the lower left corner);  this bug only appears with two monitors setup and
heavily depends on monitors position - the secondary monitor bottom should be below primary monitor bottom (I mean not physical location, of course, but monitors' relative location in "Screen resolution" menu). The bug didn't appear before Update
1; I can't confirm whether it is reproduceable only on my PC at the moment.
I have reproduced the bug on windows 8.1 U1 across several computers with 100% success rate: two macbooks pro retina, lenovo laptop, two desktops (on one of them I reproduced the bug via teamviewer). I've reproduced it today in VMWare with windows 10 Technical
    Preview.
This bug is really annoying - when it happens, you need "to cast some magic" - move the mouse to the bottom of the screen, activate/deactivate several applications, etc. in order for taskbar to reappear properly, let alone the fact that it looks
    unaesthetic.
    Skydrive folder with bug screenshot
    Screen recording of the bug
    Step-by-step guide with screenshots

Yeah, I already did it. I just wanted to open it here, because I've been trying to contact MS about this bug for almost half a year with no success, so I'm just trying to bring their attention to this thing in all ways possible. I could reproduce this bug
on all the systems I've tried so far, and I've managed to reproduce it even on VMWare in newly-installed windows 10 TP in a single try.
    @rgggg
I can't understand what do you mean by weakness in graphics. It's a 100% functionality bug. Also, of course, I have nothing to do except reporting some non-existent bugs, making fake screenshots etc. I can't understand what do you mean about "intermediate
servers", and it's almost impossible to change every Windows iso distributive I've downloaded in such a way that this bug will appear there :D
