CS5 PS - ? Developing Custom Materials For Repousse

I was curious if there is a way to define custom root level materials that would be available for all projects without having to go through the Materials option list and adjust aspects (environment, Diffuse, opacity, etc.) for each particular surface in an object.

So you downloaded the Materials.zxp and used Extension Manager to install?
Do you have any of the .p3m files here:
Users/user/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Presets/Materials
or /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Presets/Materials
If not, that's where they should be. We've seen the Extension Manager installation have various problems including silent failures. You can change the Materials.zxp extesion to .zip and then unzip to find the individual material files. Copy them manually over to the user directory.
Now launch Ps and with a 3D layer selected and an existing material targeted, click the material picker icon and then go to the upper right flyout. From this menu you should be able to replace/append the previewed material samples. Hopefully this screen shot illustrates this OK.

Hi,
I read about the possibility of developing custom actions for the MII Workbench.
There are some articles that deal with this topic, they all describe a reference class called "ActionReflectionBase" that implements the Interfaces that have to be implemented (IConfigurable, IAction, IMappable and IInvoke).
I develop whit Eclipse and I have already imported the needed JAR Files in my project (LHCommon.rar and Lighthammer.jar). But I am not able to find the ActionReflectionBase class in the package com.sap.xmii.xacute.actions where it should be!
I'm using MII version 12.0.4, please tell me where I can find this class?
As a workaround I implement the interfaces directly:
public class Calculator implements IConfigurable, IAction, IMappable, IInvoke {
,but it would be more confortable to extend the reference class.

I have found my problem. I imported the jar files directly into the project and not into the jar library. So Eclipse was not able to find the ActionReflectionBase class. Now everything works!

Developing custom translator for converting xml to edi

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to justify using Oracle B2B if my only requirement is to be able to translate data from flat files to EDI and vice versa.
My use case is
Application Data ------------> ESB ---------------------------------------> Custom Translator --------------------------> EDI Document
........................(flat file).................(flat file converted to XML)........................ convert xml to edi
Is this solution possible. If so, can somebody share details about how to write these custom translators.

What I have seen so far is that if <G_SN1> contains two entries of <S_N1> then the error above is generated (Could only identify segment S_N1 as dirty!).
For instance,

Developing custom controls for Third Pary softwares

Hello,
I am using a third party software that is a little bit old but it is still used at work. From this software it is possible to design windows forms that later on are loaded to smalls IPCs with windows embedded (XP and CE) and by lunching and application in
the IPCs these forms can be used.
From the form designs section of this software there is a "smart toolbox" from were the controls can be dragged and dropped (please see attached image). These controls seems to be designed by the third party software.
My cuestion is the following:
How can I design my own custom control? Is there any way that I can desing this controls from visual studio? what version?

Custom panels for File Info.

Hi, everydoby.
This is my first post to this group and I wanted to say hello to everybody. Hello !!!
While doing some reading on Adobe's site I came across an application named Configurator 1.0. This application allows users to develop custom panels for Photoshop and it seems to design custom menus for the interface. I am interested in finding out if it can be used to design custom File Info panels for Photoshop. In case it can't is there another application that can do it and has a GUI that makes it easy to use and simple for someone with little programming experience ?

I think you are right.
I've looked at the Adobe's website for information on how to build these panels and it seems far more complicated then it should be. Unfortunately Adobe doesn't seem to get that most users are NOT programmers. The information is complex and extensive, far more than it should be for someone who just wants to add a little amount of customization to his/her applications.
My idea was to find a simple GUI application that would allow the average user (myself) to create custom panels for the File Info menu option but one such application doesn't seem to be available. The options are to either immerse myself in the time-consuming, technically-demanding documentation available in the company's website or give up the project entirely.

Where are attribute values when developing custom adapter?

I am developing custom adapter for IDM 8. When the server wants to make reconciliation it calls method listObjects in my case and getUser. I wanted to ask if I am able to get values attributes of user which is passed to this method as parameter. Also how it is in general possible to get values of attributes in these methods. There is schemaMap which Maps names of resource attributes to IDM attributes (their names) but where do I get the values? Thank you very much for help.

Custom envelope for sound not working? Flash CS5

I'm trying to set a custom envelope for a sound in Flash CS5. I can bring up the envelope editor fine. But, I find that all the control points are after the end of the sound itself. If I click on the waveform to create a new control point, the point momentarily appears where I click it, then automatically jumps to the end of the waveform. If I try and drag any of the control points from after the waveform to during it, they just automatically pop to the end of the waveform.

Strange. After I wrote the previous post, Flash crashed. And now after starting it up again, the Custom Envelopes are working properly.

Folder path for developing custom UI in SAP OEE

recently I was developing in a scenario where I need to add a custom UI in OEE Dashboard. For that I followed the SAP How to guide for Custom UI. As per the guide I developed the view.js file controller.js file and then set them in activity configuration. It was stated in the how to doc that we have to put upto the name of the view page not the extension. Interestingly I found one thing here.
OEE always expects a folder path for that view file is such a way http://<host>:<port>/<Project name>/Web/WebContent/customActivity/<View page>.
Main problem to use that is, we can't add any specific folder in between any of the folder and even we can't change the name of the folder. I have tried with "customactivity", it didn't work.
I think this kind of limitation anyone can't expect while developing. I just post this here to explore that if I am doing anything wrong or that is a issue. Another point is in the how to doc it is not mentioned anywhere.

I have raised this point to the SAP, they have sent the confirmation that they have wrote their logic in such a way, so we have to mention the same path while developing any custom UI for SAP OEE. But as per my understanding it is kind of limitation they are giving.
So the standard path to keep the custom UI code for any SAP OEE Custom UI is :

There is not actual SDK to download, its in your installation already. The JavaDoc of all classes are in \doc.11122\javadoc in the ZipFile, http://download.oracle.com/docs/cds/E50612_01.zip (From page: Oracle Enterprise Gateway). There is an online documentation including a tutorial at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E39820_01/doc.11121/gateway_docs/content/general_filter.html
There should be some simple pre-made filters with source code somewhere but I think you might need to contact support to get your hands on those as I can't find them.

You are able to develop device drivers for your custom hardware using the NI Measurement Hardware Driver Development Kit.
However, it is not possible to use custom FPGA boards with LabVIEW FPGA. The FPGA boards have to be one of our R Series boards. Here are some links that should shed some light on the Measurement Hardware DDK.

I am creating the custom component for the LiveCycle and I ran into problems, because there are no sufficient documentation how to define and use a custom data types. I have read your article from the DevNet and you refer to the documentation many times. I was very disappointed, because the documentation isn’t handle the custom data types like you have described it. My problem is how to define the custom data type in the component xml. The structure of the custom data type is

Usually custom data types (such as the priority and action types you stated) are added to the component.xml file using the data-types element.
For example, I have created several custom types (Part, OrderResult, PartsOrdered, Pricing and PartColor) that I want to expose in LiveCycle. I want the user to be able to select these types from the drop down when they create process variables inside Workbench. This is done by adding the class’ for each type to the data-types tag:

The data-type attributes are:

I also see that you want to use an enumerated type. I’ll assume that you would like to see a drop down in the properties sheet that allows the user to select from a list of possible values. To do that you want to use a property-editor with the type Enum in your input parameter section:

if you're calling the methods on Toolkit to load the image, pass in the component as the ImageObserver. This way when the image is finished loading, it will repaint itself.
