There is no alt key, so no, but there are a lot of preloaded symbols already on the phone, all you have to do is hold a key and extra options will come up. For example, if you want an accent over a, hold a, and it will give you options for it. This also works with the symbols, for example, the $ symbol can be held to provide the money symbol for euros, yens, pounds, etc.

TS3276 Getting duplicate emails including ones that I just trashed.

After rebuilding my mac mail I start getting duplicate emails including ones that I just trashed. How do I resolve this.?

10.5.8 & even 10.4.1 can talk to iCloud Mail, (no other syncing is available though), but iCloud is IMAP only, as far I know.
To be safe,
On Mail...
First Quit Mail, then I'd backup these two Mail folders, by right clicking on them in the Finder, then choose Archive/Compress.
Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail
Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail Downloads
(Could be a different folder here if you chose such in Mail Prefs)
Right click on that Mail folder, choose archive, you'll get everything in the folder, and the folder itself in a file called Mail.zip, move it to a safe place, same for the Mail Downloads folder... only the plist is separate.
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
Once we have those backed up we can try deleting again, at least the POP account, trashing IMAP may either delete it on the Server too, or redo it on the computer.

I tried to check the alined box, but it would not work. I was able to check
the Sample box, but they they give you about 5 choices to check and I have
no idea what they are all about. I appreciate your help.

I am used to using the ALT key and specific numbers for characters from the Character Map to place characters in Office programs like Outlook, Word, Excel. I have a new Lenovo T530 Laptop running the Windows 7 Professional Operating System. I have MS Office
2010 Home and Business. In previous versions of Office, this feature worked first time, every time. On this machine, it is a 'no go' situation. Lenovo tech support says it is a Microsoft issue and Microsoft says it is a Lenovo issue. Either way, I'm having

Haven't been verified this myself, but since this feature require to use the numeric keypad to input the value, I suspect the cause of the issue is the laptop keyboard.
To workaround this issue, try enable the numeric keypad from your laptop keyboard, normally, we can enable it by press
Fn + Num Lock.
After that, try insert characters again.

I am using the alt-key combination, Alt-9734, to produce this star ☆ in a marquee I created in DW 5.5. Works fine in IE but not Safari or Chrome. In these two browsers the star is showing as,

There have been a few reports of problems, but most users on this forum report no problems.
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

How to use a pdf file just like a jsp file?

Hi! My question is quite simple, I was wondering if it is possible to use PDF files as if they were html forms and post the data to a servlet with PDFBox? I read the spec and it seems that PDFBox is meant to treat local pdf files, am I right?
I guess what I will have to do is save the pdf file once the user has finished entering data in it with a unique file name, and then treat the local pdf file with PDFBox... Is that the way to go or is there an other way to use pdf forms just like an html forms and then treat the data in a servlet?

I need more space on my Yosemite one. How can I Make the Yosemite Partition have all of the memory. I hate that I know I have like 900 gigs lurking around my iMac that I can never use. Please help. Erase the large partition. Clone the small volume to the large volume. Boot from the large volume. Delete the small volume then extend the large volume to the full size of the disk.

Destination means the large volume. Source means the small volume.

Why are all my keyboard shortcuts using the "Alt" key instead of the "Ctrl" key? I'm using Windows 7 and Firefox 5.0.1.

I recently downloaded Firefox 5 and noticed that all my keyboard shortcuts default to using "Alt" key instead of the "Ctrl" key (so, for example, opening a new tab is Alt + T instead of Ctrl + T).
I noticed that this is even true for copying and pasting within Firefox (Alt + C and Alt + P are the only commands that work).
Any idea why this is happening? I am running Windows 7 and Firefox 5.0.1.

There are a number of apps that are compatible with Office documents. Apple makes iOS versions of their own iWork apps (Pages, Keynote, Numbers) that can be purchased separately. There are also 3rd party combined suites that cost less than the separate Apple apps. Ones often recommended include Documents 2 Go, Quickoffice and Office2 HD. None have all the features and functions of Excel.
If you can accept needing a network connection whenever you want to use the apps and have an Office 365 subscription, Microsoft has just released their Office Mobile app, though it has significant limitations. Or a server-based solution such as CloudOn might be an option for you.

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free content without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

if its telling you to plug into itunes then you have to restore it that way. do you back your phone up using itunes or i cloud. if you have a back up you are good to go. To check if you have a back up

The whole idea of SOA is to run web services located anywhere. So I believe if you can expose the runtime in remote servers as services then you will be able to call those services like any other web service.
Or if you requirement is to execute files on the SOA server itself then you can use the java embedding activity.
