    This InfoCube takes the data from the InfoSource SOP Planning Data (0SOP_PLANNING), which provides the time series data for planning with Sales and Operations Planning (SOP).

  • How to find rows in F table of a cube for a given request ID

    Can someone tell me how to find the rows in the F table of a cube for a given request id?

    Hi,
    Copy the Request ID number of that cube and go to manage of the cube and select contents tab, select Infocube content,
    select list of objects to be displayed with results and in that screen give Request ID at Request ID row and at bottom Max no. of Hits keep blank and execute at the top.
    this will display all the data rows loaded with that request. this is records from cube.
    from Fact table, go to SE11, give /BIC/FXXXX "XXXX" is cube name for custom cube.
    get the SID of that cube from the Cube contents as mentioned above, for field select for output along with Request ID select Request SID also.
    from SE11 give table /BIC/DXXXXXP "XXXX" is cube name for custom cube. P for Packet Dimension. here pass reqest SID in 'SID_0REQUID' and get value for DIMID.
    pass this DIMID into KEY_XXXXP, this give the fact table rows for that request DIM ID.

  • Workbook Displays Data Not Present in the Cube for Non-Cumulative KF

    Hi All,
    I have a user that is reporting using noncumulative info object 0TOTALSTCK. If I look in the cube, the data starts in October and goes from there. When viewing the data, there are figures that display for the months prior to October even though there is no data in the cube.
    The interesting thing is that when viewed in excel using the analyser, these figures display using square brackets. This is then throwing out the total values of the prior months as they are being added in.
    Does anyone have an idea why this value would display even though there is no data in the cube for it?

    Just thought I would share the solution to this.
    It looks like the validity date for the cube was not set up properly. I fixed it using transaction RSDV.

    For the multi-cube;
    you can create a reports out of different infoprovider...let's say you have infocube for actual and another for plan...you can create a report to see actual and plan both...

    My Client wants to build a cube for their HR Analysis. They have data in Peoplesoft and Kronos systems.
    I have never worked on any cubes for HR. I needed some guidance regarding that.

    My guess is you would want to be in the Essbase or Planning forums. But It more sounds like you need to bring in a consultant that understands Essbase and HR reporting. The cube design will rely on the data and reporting and analysis needs

    We have not implemented the NEW GL functionality in OUR R/3 system. We have done only Technicahal Upgradation fron 4.7 to ECC 6.0 last year.

  • There is a standard cube for 0SEM_BCS_10?

    Hi guys. I`m willng to use 0SEM_BCS_10 to get data fo preparation to consolidation. But I didn't find a standard infocube to get these data that cames from 0SEM_BCS_10..it will be a "staging" cube where the BCS cube (0BCS_C10) will get data by data stream ...do anyone know if there is this standard cube or I will have to create a Z?

    There is no standard cube for this datasource. You have to create a Z-cube. And please use more searching in the forum.  I answered such a question a couple of times before.

  • Mass processing for SOP

    Hi,
    I am able create sale plan through MC87 transaction by selecting the create sale plan through forecasting, when total consumption values are maintained in the material. But I want this to be done by MASS processing function. In other words I want to up date key figure sales in S076 table.
    There is one tcode MPBT which is to create total forecast in background. But this is happening only when unplanned consumption values are maintained in material. Is this behaviour is correct?
    Can u detail the configuration settings required for mass processing of SOP.
    Through help I came to now that mass processing can be done for forecasting. Is this forecasting and creating sales plan are same. Kindly brief.

    I'm trying to use the PS2013's capability for generate SSAS Cubes; but after I execute
    the steps described on “Configure OLAP cubes for Project Web App (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj943761.asp)”  the only thing
    achieved is that the state being "Processing…" and the log:

    Seems like an error occurred during site collection provisioning with the project server features. The provisioning process was interrupted from a system error and doesn't recovered after system restart.
    I just created and provisioned a new site collection and everything is working now.

    For configuring the flexible planning SOP follow steps
    1. Define info structure in IMG
    where u define the characteristic and Key field
    2. Set parameters for info structures and key figures
    Sales & Operations Planning >Master Data>Set parameters for info structures and key figures
    where u define  Planning method
    Consistent planning
    Level-by-level planning
    Delta planning
    and aggregation type
    1. Average calculated

    I would like to know whether there are any Best practices for loading apo planning book data to cube for reporting.
    I have seen 2 types of Design:
    1) The Planning Book Extractor data is Loaded first to the APO BW system within a Cube, and then get transferred to the Actual BW system. Reports are run from the Actual BW system cube.
    2) The Planning Book Extractor data is loaded directly to a cube within the Actual BW system.
    We do these data loads during evening hours once in a day.

    What I have normally seen is:
    1) Data would be extracted from APO Planning Area to APO Cube (FOR BACKUP purpose). Weekly or monthly, depending on how much data change you expect, or how critical it is for business. Backups are mostly monthly for DP.
    2) Data extracted from APO planning area directly to DSO of staging layer in BW, and then to BW cubes, for reporting.
    For DP monthly, SNP daily
    You can also use the option 1 that you mentioned below. In this case, the APO cube is the backup cube, while the BW cube is the one that you could use for reporting, and this BW cube gets data from APO cube.
    Benefit in this case is that we have to extract data from Planning Area only once. So, planning area is available for jobs/users for more time. However, backup and reporting extraction are getting mixed in this case, so issues in the flow could impact both the backup and the reporting. We have used this scenario recently, and yet to see the full impact.

  • Different authorizations on different cubes for the same characteristic

    Hello,
    Is it possible to implement different authorizations on different groups for the cubes characteristic?
    For example a user should be authorized to see just the data of company code 101 on Cube A but he should see the data of all company codes on Cube B (Cube B also contains the company code. ":"-Authorization is not an option)?
    In transaction RSECADMIN it is possible to insert the "special characteristics" Acitivty, InfoProvider and Validity into an authorization. But standard setting for InfoProvider is * and I get an error message if I want to modify for just 1 Cube because the characteristic "InfoProvider" (SAP Content) isn't marked as authorization relevant.
    Can you please answer:
    1) If it is possible to implement different authorizations on different cubes for the same characteristic?
    2) What is the function of the special charactristics if I can't maintain the values?

    Hi there,
    Yes it is possible.
    The new authorization concept created union also based on InfoProvider Characteristic.
    You have to change in rsd1 transaction the characteristics 0TCAACTVT, 0TCAKYFNM, 0TCAIPROV and 0TCAVALID to be authorization relevant.
    So you can do this:
    Create two authorizations in rsecadmin like this:
    Aut_1:
    0comp_code: 101
    0TCAACTVT: 03 (activity of display)
    0TCAKYFNM: * (all key figures)
    0TCAIPROV: Cube A
    0TCAVALID: * (authorization valid for ever)
    Aut_2:
    0comp_code: *
    0TCAACTVT: 03 (activity of display)
    0TCAKYFNM: * (all key figures)
    0TCAIPROV: Cube B
    0TCAVALID: * (authorization valid for ever)
    Now in rsecadmin give both authorizations aut_1 and aut_2 for the user.
    If the user opens a query built on cube a he will be having authorizations only for company code 101. If the user opens a query for cube B he will be having authorizations for all the company codes.

    ASO cubes are much faster to calculate but I don't know that they are any quicker to retrieve from. Materalizing aggragations makes them faster than if you don't. And of course MDX formulas could slow down retrieval depending on how complex the formula is. That said, just like BSO cubes, they are pretty quick to retrieve from in most cases

  • How the data is fetched from the cube for reporting - with and without BIA

    I need to understand the below scenario:(as to how the data is fetched from the cube for reporting)
    I have a query, on a multiprovider connected to cubes say A and B. A is on BIA index, B is not. There are no aggregates created on both the cubes.
    CASE 1: I have taken RSRT stats with BIA on, in aggregation layer it says

    now my question is why is here a huge difference in the number of records transported for cube A when compared to case 1. The input criteria for both the cases are the same and the result output is matching. There is no change in the number of records selected for cube A in both cases.It is 8,087,502 in both cases.
    Can someone pls clarify on this difference in records being selected.

    yes, Vitaliy could be guess right. Please check if FEMS compression is enabled (note 1308274).
    What you can do to get more details about the selection is to activate the execurtion plan SQL/BWA queries in data manager. You can also activate the trace functions for BWA in RSRT. So you need to know how both queries select its data.
