Current credit limit higher than maximum permitted

I am looking at a customer in transaction FD32. It appears that the customers' current credit limit assigned is higher than their maximum permitted credit limit.
i.e. current credit limit = $22,000
maximum permitted = $20,000
This has occurred for several customers. How is this possible? Can the current credit limit be decreased back down to $20,000?
Thanks,

Hi ,
Kindly note that the field KNKA - KLIMG , refers to the credit limit for all the credit control area for that customer , and the KNKK-KLIMK Upper limit for the recievables in that particular credit control area ,hence for the example mentioned the sum of the credit limit for individual credit control area does not exceed the total limit .

  • How to get the latest credit limit values per each customer in the report.

    Hi All,
Can anybody give me an idea on how to get the latest credit limit values per each customer in the report.
    I have below requiremnt.
I have cube which is having transactional data on document and customer level .and it also having master data info object in the cube which is credit management view having all the customer numbers .
This credit management view is master data info object having credit limit key figure as attribute. These credit limit are per each customer.
So we need these credit limits in the report as dynamic values .(I mean whatever be the current credit limit in the master data table for that paricular customer that should show up in the reporting).
one more thing these credit limits should roll up correctly at the HTR level.
One HTR having number of customers .
for example HTR 100 can have customer number 200,300,400.
Those 200,300,400 customer credit limits should roolup correctly at the HTR 100 level.
    Example below :
    Cube DATA :
HTR Customer Doct number Credit managment view
    100 200 10001 200
    100 200 10002 200
    100 300 10004 300
    100 300 10005 300
    100 400 10006 400
    100 400 10007 400
    100 400 10008 400
Master data tabel (P Table)(Credit managment view)
    Credit managment view Credit limits
    200 1000.00
    300 50000.00
    400 90000.00
    Please remeber :
We can not make these credit limits as navigational becasue these are keyfigure attributes not characteristics.
one more thing we can not make them as charatistics because we need use these credit limits to derive other calkculation. so it is not possibel to derive calculations on charactristics .

Create a formula variable of type replacement path with reference as attibutes of Credit management view and choose your key figure credit limit, say zcredit.
Now create a formula or CKF and use zcredit.
This should display the credit limit in your report as normal key figure.
I didnot get this part "one more thing these credit limits should roll up correctly at the HTR level.", may be the above will solve this too.Try it.
    Hope this helps.

  • Approval for exceeding credit limit for particular bussiness partners

    Hi Experts,
I am trying one approval for the Business partners for credit limit exceed.I have tried through standard Approval process by using the terms deviation from credit value as described but what should be done if  i need to set it for particular business partners.
Also, in this standard query which i have tried i have defined the terms as :-
Deviation from credit limit greater than or equal to 50,000 . I have set this terms for A/R Invoice. Now when i have made the invoice for rs.5000 then also it is asking for Approval.Since the Value is defined so system should not ask for approval.
    Regards-
    Mona.

    Hi Mona,
You may try this. It may help you..
    select true from ocrd where
    ((balance < 0) or (balance + $[$29.0.NUMBER]) < 0) and cardcode = $[ordr.cardcode]
use squere brackets near $ sign open and close both brackets insted of round brackets.

  • Approval Procedure not triggered when Credit Limit Exceeded

    Hi,
I've defined an approval procedure which I would like to launch when a clients Credit Limit has been exceeded. I've checked the required fields on Administration > General Settings > BP tab (credit Limit, Commitment Limit, AR Invoice, Delivery, SO). I've also checked the Activate Approval Procedures on the same tab.
I know the approval procedure has been set up the correct way, since it is launched when I change the Terms to for instance 'Total document'.
There is a system-message when I am creating a Delivery Note for a customer indicating that the credit limit for this customer has been exceeded. But still, the system allows the user to add the document without triggering the approval procedure....
    What am I doing wrong?
Btw: The credit limit exceeded is in negative numbers, but I've tried both the condition 'Deviation from Credit Limit greater than 1' and Deviation from Credit Limit Less than 1...

Could you clarify what you mean by "The credit limit exceeded is in negative numbers"
Negative number: the system message I get when I create a delivery note for a customer, exceeding the credit limit is the following:
Customer has exceeded credit limit - 95.479 EUR
Customer has exceeded commitment limit - 95.479 EUR
    Continue (Y/N)
Make sure the Credit Limits are set in the BP Master. --> OK, credit limit is set to 100 EUR, Commitment limit to 100 EUR
Also use Great than in Ratio and try to use a small number like 10 in the value  --> I am using 1 EUR
Also, check in System Initialization > General Settings..BP Tab Activate approval procedure is checked. --> it is checked.
Using the range option does not solve the problem, in fact even if I use 'Deviation from Credit Limit does not equal 1 EUR' the approval is not triggered. When I use the same Approval template, but I alter the terms to Total document greater than 1 or Discount% greater than 1 the approval is triggered.

  • Commitment limit must be higher that credit limit

    Hi, everybody
I´ve been trying to load a Business Partenrs DTW template, but at the end some BP don´t upadate succesfully because the next message appears. "Commitment limit must be higher than credit limit".
This message appears too when you put a value in the credit limit field in the BO mster data and you put a value o zero in the Commitment limit.
Checking my BP configuration, I have in this moment customers who have credit limit values higher than the values to update, however in the template I didn´t find anty field related to OCRD.DebtLine that is the Commitement Limit field in order to update this field too.
Actually the data base haven´t any kind of transactions.
I will appreciate a lot you help.
    Regards, Manuel

    Hi Manuel,
Did you try to set the correct value in the DTW column "MaxCommitment"?
This is the DI API/DTW property that sets or returns the maximum allowed debt for payments from the business partner.
A good help for the DTW in general is the SDK Help Center delivered with the SDK Package in each patch or on the SDN Forum under the relevant Version. Example:
    [SDK Help Center 2007|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/9039f9c0-b9f1-2a10-27bd-b08d4bd9d48c]
You can search for the field you need to update (example: DebtLine) and find the relevant DI API Property (example: MaxCommitment) which tells you the correct column header.

  • Maximum permitted credit limits in FD32

    Hi Guru's,
What is the use of Total Amount field in Maximum permitted credit limits tab in FD32.
I have searched in SDN as everybody is telling the same thing..
Total Amount: 10,000 INR (Overall Credit Limit in all credit control areas)
    Individual Limit: 4,000 INR
All credit control area means ??
Pls guide me with good example..
    Thanks
    Azeez.Mohd

    Dear Azeez,
You use each Customer Code in particular Sales Area & Company Code.
Now as these two are independent Organizational Elements the credit limits are controlled by Credit Control Area.
Thus each Company Code is assigned to Credit Control Area & also each Sales Area is assigned to Credit Control Areas.
Now it may happen that a single Customer buys from different Company Codes or different Sales Areas. Thus according to accounting principles we cannot let same Customer who has huge outsanding debit in one Company code or Sales area, freely buy from other Company code or Sales Area.
Thus it may happen that one Customer belongs to multiple Credit Control Areas. so you have the option in FD32 tio set Credit Limitt for single Credit Control Area & multiple Credit Control Areas.
E.g. Customer Code 1005 (who belongs to 3 CCA) has total Credit Limit of Rs. 1,00,000 but maximum Rs. 35000 in each CCA. Thus if this Customer hits an outstanding of Rs. 35000 in any CCA his Credit A/c would be blocked for all CCA...
    Hope this is clear...

  • What is the maximum credit limit for this card?

So I've had my Total Rewards Visa Signature for the past 18 months...started at 10k, always SP CLI every 4 months. Always got 4K CLI at a minimum but yesterday I only got a 2K.  The card is now at 30K.  Anyone ever get this card go beyond 30K or is that the maximum for this card?

I don't think there is a maximum. I'm sure it's relative to income. I haven't seen it higher than 30k.

  • Help on user exit (credit limit blocking)

    Hi,
Currently, my user exit checks the order value in va01, va02 against the remaining credit and puts a credit block on the customer/order if the order value is higher than the credit limit.

  • Cannot increase Credit Limit - Get error message F4724

    Hi All,
In FD32, I'm trying to increase the credit limit of a customer.  I get message Message no. F4724 that says "Maximum Individual limit should only be $$$$"  and it prints the $ amount of the current limit.  I try to increase the limit on other customers and I can with no error message.
Have you ever seen this message and do you know what causes it to be displayed?  I searched notes and don't see anything, so I'm not sure where to look.
Thanks in advance for your expertise!

    Hi,
Please check the central data. It has a section for Maximum permitted limits - Total amount and individual limit. Change the fields as need.

  • Will Going Over The Credit Limit One Time Hurt Score Long Term?

I have a flexible spending Chase Sapphire preferred card that has a limit of $7000.  I don't know when, but according to my credit report it shows that my high balance at one point in time was at $11k - I'm guessing this was several several months ago if not over a year. I don't ever keep my balance that high, and I'm sure it was only at that balance for 24-48 hours, and Chase just happened to report to the CB's the day the balance was that high (lucky me).  Currently my balance is really low , around $150. I usually keep the balance at less than $500 at any one time (and if it goes over that, I pay it down several times a month just in case).  Anyway, my lender told me that if I raised my credit limit to around $15k (or at least higher than the $11k balance it had at one time), it would raise my score considerably because it would show that I never went above the limit. So I called Chase, and luckily I was able to get the limit raised to about $13k. I was pre-approved for it, so they did not need to run my credit (good news I guess). My question is - should I expect a score increase just because the one time high blaance of $11k is now under my new $13k limit (instead of over the $7k limit it had). I thought I knew a lot about how credit scores worked, but this is new to me. Is the lender blowing smoke or is this actually a normal thing to expect? Thx

    CH-7-Rebuilding wrote:
Do you see that smoke in the air?  Yep, your lender has no idea what they are talking about. Lots of people have signature cards that have, say, a 5K limit, and might have a 20K high credit.  That is what a signature card is for!  You just have to pay off the amount over the credit limit when the bill comes in. That high credit amount above the limit had no effect on your FICO score.  The raising of the limit might impact your score if it lowers your current utilization, but otherwise it should not matter as far as FICO.  It will help getting higher limits with other lenders, though.   bingo!    many of us move limits or have been CLD during the crunch and have "high balance" many times greater than our CL.    lender is a dummy.

  • Does Simple Credit Limit Check Include Checking for Open Orders

    Hi all,
I have this issue here where I have configured the system to use simple credit limit check with error message. I did not use the standard/common automatic credit limit check since user insist on a pop-up warning and that the order could not be saved. But, I realized that it does not take open orders into account too although I have set the risk categories. Is it true and what solution is there for this issue then.
Thank you for all your help in inputs.

    Hi,
Please follow the below configuration settings for Simple credit check process.
Simple credit check: In simple credit check the system compares the credit exposure with payers credit limit. The
credit exposure results from the total of the net document value and the value of the open items.

  • Credit Limit Check - Exclude Specific Documents / Credits from Exposure

    Hi,
I would like to know if it's possible to exclude specific document types (credits) from the credit exposure calculation used during credit limit checks.
The ideia is to exclude "DG" credits in customer GL that are related to Trade Deal/Agreements to avoid over-exposure.
    Let me explain:
Currently, our credit management is configured to "Static" + "Open Items" for all credit groups in the CCA. Therefore, SAP calculates the credit exposure as:
              CE = OPEN ORDERS (S066) + OPEN DELIVERIES (S067) + OPEN BILLING (S067) + OPEN ITEMS (BSID)
Regarding "Open Items", I understand that SAP calculates the net value between all debits (receivables) and credits (returns, overpayments, etc...) already posted and not cleared in the Customer GL account. This rationale is correct since the credits are due to the customers and should be deducted from their exposure (i.e. "you may not pay them if you don't receive").
However, in our case, we also pay trade deals contracts (i.e. trade incentives and trade marketing investments) directly to costumers and apart from sales orders or credit memos. The flow is the following: (1) contracts are managed on a satelite system and interfaced to SAP; (2) contracts are created in the costumer GL as a credit (doc. type "DG"); (3) credits are sent to accounts payable for payment via F110.
Problem is that, contract credits volume is significant and are impacting customers credit exposure and limit check, resulting in greater exposure than allowed. That is, orders are being released while contract credits are open in the customer GL up to the max exposure, but when contracts are paid the exposure goes above the limit. For example:
    Day 1:
              Costumer Credit Limit: 100
              Sales Balance: 30
              Open Itens: 50 (receivables: 70 / contracts: -20)
              Credit Exposure: 80/100
    Day 2:
              Costumer Credit Limit: 100
              Sales Balance: 50
              Open Itens: 50 (receivables: 70 / contracts: -20)
Credit Exposure: 100/100 (no additional orders are released)
    Day 3:
              Costumer Credit Limit: 100
              Sales Balance: 50
Open Itens: 70 (receivables: 70 / contracts: 0 - contracts are paid on day 3)
Credit Exposure: 120/100 (exposure is above customer limit since contracts that were being deducted were paid)
Any ideas or thoughts? Is something wrong in the explanation above? Should contracts credits be treated through special GL?
    Many thanks!

    Hello Julie,
the 2nd, System behavior (how do you interact the credit limit check (yes/no question) via DI?)
    Workaround:
Before you issue the Document, you may do a manual check: BP balance againt Credit Limit, and make deceision.
