Cursor not placed on the field

Hi Gurus
I have created a transaction in ABAP and then an ITS Service with the following parameters:
~GENERATEDYNPRO     1
~TRANSACTION     ZMYTRANSACTION
~NOHEADEROKCODE     1
~WEBTRANSACTIONTYPE     EWT
~POPUPS     1
~THEME     99
In the PBO I have used the command SET CURSOR FIELD 'ZSTRU-MATNR' and it works fine if I execute the transaction from SAP. But when I try on the web browser (IE6), then the field changes the color (like it has the focus) but the cursor is not in it and I cannot type anything. In this case I always have to click on the field, to place the cursor there and enter the material number.
Does anybody have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

I checked the note you mentioned and the behavior of being positioned in the first field of the screen is ok for the first screen (a selection-screen). However, when the user goes to the next screen, depending on some criteria, the cursos must be positioned in a different field.
I've tried to change the parameter from EWT to MINIAPP, but 1. it looks very ugly and 2. doesn't change anything regarding the focus.
Do you have any other idea on how I could solve this problem?
This application will be executed on a Tablet PC, but even if I execute it from my laptop, it has the same behavior. The point is that the user must scan the information on the fields and it's not acceptable that he always must click on the field before scanning.

Text in completed form only appears when the cursor is placed in the field

I created a form and sometimes when it is completed and returned to me, the fields appear blank. If I place my cursor in the field, see the text responses. What can I do to fix this?

It is a user issue. This usually happens when someone uses a program other than Adobe Reader or Acrobat to fill in the form, such as Mac Preview. You can simply put a text box on the form prompting the user to download and fill in using Adobe Reader with a link to the website OR if you do recieve a form this way you can "re show" the fields by following these steps. (Assuming you have at least Adobe Acrobat Standard):
Open form with hidden data.
Go to Forms>Manage Form Data>Export Data
Save the file as XDP. Close the form.
Reopen and go to:
Forms>Manage Form Data>Import Data
--import the XDP file you just created.
All your fields should now be showing. Saves time when you have an extensive form. Keep in mind some of your data may not have auto formatting since the user did not use Adobe to fill in the form and some fields may require "cleaning up."

Cursor not positioning on batch field MIGO after version upgrade to 6.4/7.1

We recently upgrade SAPGui from v6.2 version to 6.4 and 7.1 and noticed the cursor not moving to the batch field in item level of the MIGO.
While doing migo for for any movement type When we click on the item level of the material. the cursor should got the to empty field.
Is there anyway we can do that?
Example I open migo.for movement type 261 and manually add the item thorough the "+ green" symbol.
then I click on the material tab in the item . - it goes to the field where i can enter the material number. same is the case with account assignement tab.
But when clicked on the batch tab it does not go the the empty field to enter batch. It has to be manually clickeda and then entered.
Are there any settings to control it and make it automatically move to the batch empty field.

Your problem is quit common problem when GUI 7.1 installed system
best way to remove GUI 7.1 or install patches of GUI 7.1
Problem some times may come GUI 7.1 and IE 7 .so you check wich type version IE you using.

'The value 4010 39 99 is not allowed for the field MARC-STEUC/BAPI_MARC-CTRL_CODE'
Any idea abt this error.

Hi,
As this BAPI is triggered from external sytem that by client in production environment , I would not be able to dig it further.
Thats why I asked if anybody confronted the same error previously.

Please check the check box in front of the field config material is checked?
If so then this material is configurable material
A material that can have different variants.
For example, a car can have different paint, trim, and engines.
Configurable materials have a super bill of material (BOM) that contains all the components for producing every variant of the material. Similarly, they have a super task list that contains all the operations. When a material is configured, only the components and operations needed for a variant are selected.

Field ZZBUDAT is delta-relevant, but does not exist in the field list

I have created a Generic DataSource on a View.Now there is a situation ,i need to add a Date field form some other table.
So i have enhanced the datasource now that date is coming in my datasource.
But when i tried to make delta on that date field its showing error-
Field ZZBUDAT is delta-relevant, but does not exist in the field list
Message no. R8279
Diagnosis
The DataSource uses field ZZBUDAT for specifying the delta. In the DataSource field list, however, the field does not occur
Now how i can make this field dalta relevant?

I think the message in SAP is quite clear....
If the field ZZBUDAT does not exist in the view ... how do you expect the datasource to know which records have changed...?
The delta relevant field SHOULD be in the view - else there is no way the extractor can identify the changed records ...
Please remember that the Generic extractor is a simple select statement with a where clause on the delta relevant field and nothing else ... if you want the changed on field to come from another table - then you need to write a function module extractor to do this...
The order of processing is that - the view fields are processed first - then the enhanced fields are processed followed by the user exits...

The value 1 is not allowed for the field variace key

Hi experts,
When i was creating material master i was getting the status message as "the value 1 is not allowed for the field variance key" , but its stopping there its not moving out of that screen and creating the material record. When i see this field in the material master configuration its an optional field. Can you give me suggestions, where it can go wrong.

Hi,
In the Selection screen,go to Settings->Value Restrictions tab->Read Mode Settings->Custom radio button and select the options Values in Master Data or Only Values in InfoProv or Only Posted values for navigation.
After this setting,check whether you are getting the data or not.

Field catalog does not agree with the fields of the functional area

G'day everyone,
I am using a generic extractor via infoset to extract data from R/3 source system.
Using RSA3, I have obtained an error message and no further details.
****ERROR MESSAGE
"Field catalog does not agree with the fields of the functional area
Message no. RSUQ134
****ERROR MESSAGE
I have checked and adjusted my infoset in SQ02 and they seems fine but still obtain the same error.
In BW, replicated the datasource and activate the transfer rules but still obtain the same error.
Anyone knows how to get more details for this type of error? Or how to fix this problem?

I think I have just solved it.
Transaction RS02 delete and recreate after checking the structure in BW and Source system are the same.

Cursor not focusing in the text field after Object tag load in IE

We have an applets class "ABC.class" in our application. To include this class in a jsp page we are using OBJECT tag. This tag is written inside a if block in the jsp page. Based on the if condition this OBJECT tag has to be loaded. Below is the code we are using:

In the above code if the "if condition" is satisfying, then cursor is not focusing on the required field. The code to focus on the field is written in the javascript function which is called onLoading the page.
we are using IE 7 and IE8. In IE 7 sometimes working fine but in IE 8 we are getting this issue.
Can anyone please help us how to focus the cursor on the required field even in the case of the Object tag loading.

We are not using JQuery.
Actually the code to focus is written in the function which is called onLoad of the page that will be executed after the page loading. If we keep alerts in the onLoad function then the cursor is focusing to the required field.

How to make a subform not print if the fields are empty

I'm once again working on that kind of client form where our agents fill in a bunch of fields on our forms and I only want those fields that are pertinent to that client to print out and I've grouped the fields that go together into separate subforms.
There are date fields and currency fields that relayout to floating fields in hidden blocks of text that appear when the last text field is exited, ie:
Subform1 "On 5/14/12 your application was approved. We will pay $100 to your account"
Subform2 "On 5/14/12 we received your application. We will need further information before you claim for $250 can be approved" etc. Obviously, both of these subforms cannot appear on the letter.
Jono gave me a great solution for not printing checkboxes that are not checked with a preprint script which worked perfectly and I tried to adapt that to the subforms but alas my skills are lacking. I tried just putting it in each fill in field but then the blocks of text still remained.
So basically I don't want the subforms that have empty fields to print.
I'd appreciate any help that can be offered.

I think that the logic/script should be placed in the area where the user either approves or rejects the claim. This would avoid a prePrint script to check if fields are empty or not.
If you are stuck with checking if fields are empty on prePrint, then you would just need to check the relevant fields one at a time or use a loop.

Field not present in the Field Catalog also getting displayed in the ALV

Hi Experts,
I am trying to display some to an ALV grid. But since i don't need all the fields from the internal table, i have deleted those fields from the field catalog. But in-spite of doing this the field heading is still getting displayed. I am not able to figure out the reason for this. Also note that the i have not deleted that field from my internal table which contains the actual data.

If your giving your internal table to the below field then ALV try to disply those many coloumn.
wa_fcat-tabname = 'IT_OUTPUT'.
You can add for that field name.
wa_fcat--NO_OUT = 'X'.
Please check the field name on the output will be same as before column name .

SSRS Do not Group if the Field value is NULL

I have an SSRS report that I am doing dynamic grouping on that displays an agenda with time. grouping performed on a field called subheader and then the agenda times (another field) displayed under that group subheader.
The problem that I am having is that I want to avoid the grouping if the parameter is null. I just want to sort by the time if there is nothing in the sub header group. Times are being displayed in the wrong order for the titles where the subheader field
is null

The grouped items work fine however the sorting is not right for the items that are not in the group. See example below. The Time 9:45 to 10:100 should appear below the group however it is appearing in the wrong place. The sorting is out of order for the
items where the subheader (Caseing Test) is null.

Not getting all the fields of MARA by using DDIF_NAMETAB_GET

Please to solve the below issue.
I am using the DDIF_NAMETAB_GET FM and trying to all the fields of MARA tabel but i getting only 27 records ie. 27 fields. when i look at DD03L i can 220 records but i am not sure why the output only shows 27records.
Any help is really appreciated.

Z Role not visible in the Field Grouping

Hi all
   I have created(copied an Existing to a new) a Z Role in the System !
   And Saved it ! I could see it as an element in the BP View !
   Now I went to do the Field Grouping ! Under Basic Settings of BP, I selected the Filed Groupings --> Configure Field Attributes per BP Role !
   When I tried adding my Z Role as a New Entry, I get the error : "Entry does not exist in TB003" !
    What I am missing out ?
    Any Help !
