Custom button to print

Hello all,
I created a custom button that I want to use to print the slide instead of the generic widget from Captivate. I thougt I would create a button that wouold have an advanced action that would execute a window.print() japavscript, but it wont print. I basically want what the Print widget does execpt on the cusomt button I made. Can someone please help. Thanks.
UPDATE:
I decided to use the Print widget that is already there, however, it prints really large. Is there a way to control the size of the print out or make it landscape?
Thanks, again.

Hello,
Welcome to Adobe Forums.
When you click on the button, does it bring up the Print Window ?
Thanks,

      lo_component = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).

  • Can we have a "print button" to print massive report document ?

    Hi there,
    Can we have a "print button" to print a massive report document (e.g 3000 page , each for a specific customer description), instead of exporting to pdf or excell before printing.. ?
    Thanks
    -toni

    You cannot have a print Button in the report, But have you tried Scheduling the report, and setting the output to printer? That might meet your requirement. You can also use the schedule section to run it immediately (once)

  • Is there a command to Submit a form from a custom button?

    I am going to add a custom button to allow the user to click on the button to Print the form.  I have found the example code of how to do this.
    My question is as follows:
    Is there a command I can add to a custom button to Submit the form after it prints?
    I want the submit to be automatic after they print using my custom "Print" button on the form.
    Thanks so much,
    Susan

    Here is who you would do this :
    1) Import your PDF in FormsCentral
    2) Save the Submission Enabled Form from the Distribute Tab
    3) Open the PDF in Acrobat XI
    4) File > Save a Copy...
    5) Open the copy in Acrobat XI
    6) Tools > Forms > Edit
    7) Find the Submit button on the form right click on it to show the properties dialog
    8) Go to the Actions Tab
    9) Select "Run a Javascript" and click on the "Edit" button
    10) Add the this.print() javascript line to the button's javascript
    11) Close the dialog with "OK"
    12) Close the property dialog with "Close"
    13) Click on "Close For Editing" (top right corner in Acrobat XI)
    14) File > Save as Other... > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (includes form fill-in & save)...
    15) Test your form (make sure it submits to FormsCentral without errors)
    Hope this helps

  • Add customer button to check status screen

    hi everyone
    i'm quite new in developing srm and need your help.
    my customer wants me to put a new customer button on the check status web screen at item level which is supposed to work like the print button.
    so if i want to integrate this customer button do i have to modify the screen and html template? as far as i know there is no customer exit for this?!
    thanks in advance!

    Hi
    <u>Which SRM version are you using ?</u>
    <b>The addition of a new button for a new process means modification to standard screens, HTML templates used in the relevant Internet (Web) Services and the releavnt source code.
    Addition of button can only be done through ITS Template change.Please look in the Internet services say - BBP_BID_INV (for Bid Invitations) Or for service - BBPSC01 (shopping cart) for the exact template in whcih you want to add the button</b>
    <b>You have to define a new button in the screen and in the template. Then assign to it an OK_CODE and manage it in the PBO of the screen.</b>
    There is no BADI which can do this as this is not a SAP funtionality. You need to do a little bit of research on this to get the job done.
    <b>As a start step, You can use the BADIs - BBP_CUF_BADI and  BBP_CUF_BADI_2 to change the display from customer-defined fields to the SAP standard screen. This BAdI enables you to control whether the fields can be edited, and how they are displayed.</b>
    MODIFY_SCREEN method will Show/hide field display and restrict edit options.

  • Having nav buttons outside print area in adobe reader

    I am building a parts manual and want my nav buttons off to the side of the 8.5"x11" document in sidebars. Easy to accomplish in Indesign but when exported to pdf , the print feature in Adobe reader prints the total width of the document. I want the customer when select print to just print the center frame (no nav buttons)and not have to set up crops etc for printing. Ive seen parts manuals like this and am having a hard time accomplishing this myself. Any help would be appreciated.
    Here is link to an example of this pdf

    Just set their visibility to "Visible, but doesn't print".

  • CRM 2013: Custom button to Open multiselect lookup with custom view

    Hello Everyone,
    Looking for your suggestions to implement the following requirement.
    We want to implement a custom button on the sub grid of Custom Entity (Lets say, "PersonMapping"). The custom button should open another entity multi select lookup(Lets say, "Person"). Till here we could achieve by directly opening the
    multi lookup url of the Person using "Window.showModelDialog". But in this lookup, we want to set our custom view as default view. Please suggest some solution to achieve this.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    First of all I would advice you to post this question in the new CRM 2007 forum.
    We have created our own button that calls an URL in a separate window. Here is some coding from the method CALLBACK~GET_BUTTONS which may inspirere you:
    CONCATENATE 'javascript:window.open'
                  lv_http
                  '","Print","resizable=yes,height=850,width=700,dependent=yes,status=1");'
             INTO lv_java.
      ls_button-type     = cl_thtmlb_util=>gc_icon_print.
      ls_button-tooltip  = cl_wd_utilities=>get_otr_text_by_alias( 'CRM_UIU_BT_SALES_QUOT/SALESQUOT_PRINT' ).
      ls_button-on_client_click = lv_java.
      ls_button-page_id  = me->component_id.
      ls_button-enabled  = abap_true.
      APPEND ls_button TO rt_buttons.
      CLEAR ls_button.
      ls_button-text     = cl_wd_utilities=>get_otr_text_by_alias( 'CRM_UIU_BT_SALES_QUOT/SORDER_CREATEFOLLOW-UP' )."#EC NOTEXT
      ls_button-tooltip  = cl_wd_utilities=>get_otr_text_by_alias( 'CRM_UIU_BT_SALES_QUOT/SORDER_CREATEFOLLOW-UP' )."#EC NOTEXT
      ls_button-on_click = 'FOLLOWUP'.                          "#EC NOTEXT
      ls_button-page_id  = me->component_id.
      ls_button-enabled  = lv_persistent.
      APPEND ls_button TO rt_buttons.
      CLEAR ls_button.

  • Custom PDF Viewer & Printer

    Hi PDF Gurus,
    I need to develop an application in which I can:
    1- Only view a PDF document (and any other features to browse in PDF document) but not freely print it, save it as... and send it by email.
    2- with a customized button I can print document with some watermarks and text for every pages of PDF document.
    3- this application will open a document in an UNC path with access restrictions only for the application itself.
    4- The application will receive the following parameters:
    PDF file name to open, username and password to access to UNC path.
    5- Application will run on 50 client (up to 15 simultaneously) under Windows 32bit
    IS there someone that already developed it, or otherwise, could you please indicate to me a SDK Library for C++ or VB.net to develop it?
    Thanks in advance

    I'm looking for a virtual PDF-printer for PPC2003. I need to be able to print out from a database application for recording ECG on the PDA, and then print out the result from the recording to a file that can easily be sent by e-mail via GPRS from the PDA. I've searched everywhere for a virtual PDF-printer for the PPC2002 - 2005 witout success - does anyone know were such printer driver can be found, if there is any?

  • Custom Buttons in XML Forms

    Hi Experts,
    Is there a possibility to create a custom button like when i click the button mail should be sent to concerned person along with form.
    and how to create print button?
    Edited by: EPADMIN on Feb 7, 2012 8:10 AM

    To print or send email you can use Javascript in your form.  In the show form insert a Label.
    (--> in the code replace REF by HREF --> if I put HREF in my post it doesn't work...?)
    To print insert
    <A REF="
    javascript:
    window.print()">Click to Print This Page</A>
      in the Caption and set property Display HTML to yes.
    The same to send mail but put
    <A REF="
    mailto:yourmailaddress?suject=Support request">
    Click to mail</A>
      to create a mail to [yourmailaddress] with subject "Support request".
    (check mailto syntax for further options).

  • Custom Buttons in WebHelp Skin

    Hi all,
    I am trying to add a button to my WebHelp version of my
    project to enable readers to print the current topic. In my skin
    editor, I managed to add a custom button, Print, with an image
    entered window.print() in the JavaScript onClick field that is
    provided (this is a standard JS call that prints the window). After
    updating the view in the Skin Editor, the button is displayed, but
    after re-generating the WebHelp layout, I can't see my new button.
    I thought maybe the Advanced tab's Dependancies list might have
    something to do with it, but I am not sure what it is for exactly.
    Is there a trick to adding custom buttons to skins to get them to
    display in the generated format?
    Thanks in advance for your thoughts,
    darkagn

    Hi Captiv8r and thankyou for the super-fast response :)
    Your reply allowed me to add the custom button to my skin.
    However, the window.print() function only prints the area
    with the buttons, not the topic itself. So I thought I'd re-post
    and explain how I actually solved the problem of printing topics in
    WebHelp in case anyone else needed the same info.
    I ended up adding a button to the template that all of my
    topics are derived from, in the footer so that the button remained
    below the topic itself. I had to add the button in the HTML editor
    with the following code:
    <form style="text-align: right; padding-right: 10px;">
    <input id=printbutton type=button onClick="window.print()"
    value="Print Topic" style="width: 90px;">
    </form>
    Now, because the Print button appears in the same area of the
    screen as the topic itself, the call to window.print() prints
    everything in that frame (which unfortunately includes the button
    itself, but this is a small price to pay to be able to print topics
    from WebHelp).
    Anyway, I hope this solution helps someone out
    there...

  • Custom Button in ALV table

    Hi Experts,
    I have created a custom button 'SELECT' in ALV table toolbar.
    lo_function = l_value->if_salv_wd_function_settings~create_function( 'SELECT' ).
    Now i am getting position of this custom button next to the Standard buttons ('Print' and 'Export' ). So how do I change the custom button position to first place. I mean the custom button should be in the left most position in the toolbar.
    Please help me in resolving this.
    Regards,
    Sarathy.

    Thank you Lekha. Set_position is working.
    We have to change the positon of custom button and the standard button. So that the position of button gets interchnaged.

  • Custom button in alv and disabling all buttons in application tool bar

    Experts,
    Could you please  help me for the below requirements.
    1). How to disable all the buttons (like sorting, print, find, set filter...etc.) in tool bar using oops?
    2). Where can I add my custom download button in alv report using oops?

  • Custom Button Tooltips

    How do I go about changing the tooltips of custom buttons.
    One of the projects I'm working on right now has a button with a
    graphic and is labeled "Print". Now I'd like to change the tooltip
    hover to say something other than "Print".

    Hi ClubHans
    If you click
    This
    super handy little ole link right here, you can download a copy
    of my Skinny on Skins file. Once you get it saved, you may need to
    right click it and Unblock it. After you get it displaying things,
    click the Index tab and type "tooltip" into the index. I believe
    you will find a topic titled "Tooltips for custom buttons".
    Hopefully that should get you going.
    Cheers... Rick
