Custom cursor troubles with rollovers

Question

Hi all,
I can't get my head around this one:
I have a movieClip on the stage which acts as a cursor. Next
to it I
have a button with some rollovercode. Seperately the work
fine, together
they have some conflict. I only get some nervous
rollover/rollout
behaver if I move the mouse over the button, but not the
expected
over/out behavior like the code suggests. Conflicting events?
This is the (barebones) code:
The cursor:

Hi kglad (and others...),
no that's not it. That would only be happening if the button
was scaling
down or moving on mouseover. It's scaling up on mouseover, so
that
action itself cannot result in a mouseout event taking place.
I've posted the file at:
