Custom Data Table in Work Manager 6.1 / SMP 3.0

Hi folks,
was trying to create a custom Data Table in Work Manager. Unfortunately I was not successful to get it working - probably I am missing out something.
Have created the DataTable in the Agentry Editor and configured the Java Class to use the DataTable class like for the other DataTables. Then created the 4 config values in the parameters of the Mobile Application Configuration (DT_MDOID, TABLE_CHECK, TABLE_REFRESH, ENABLE_TABLE). Also created a MDO that is mapped to the DT_MDOID which is derived from the /SYCLO/CL_CORE_DT_HANDLER class.
During sync, I am getting the following errors in the server logs - in the client it is Error 13 => Java...

Make sure that 'DT_MDOID" parameter entries are maintained correctly "That there is no typo's" in config panel. I don't think you need any entries for TABLE_CHECK, TABLE_REFRESH, ENABLE_TABLE parameters which are only relevant for complex table. Same in Agentry the data table should match with SAP name.

When we configured a business role for our call center agent, we copied existing out-of-box role and assigned to user's local own data. When the CRM Web UI was called, the window popped up fine, but there was an error message:
No customizing data found for content management profile
Can anybody advise why this error comes? I checked the content management profile in our system. There are 3 profiles there but I am not sure if any of them is linked to the nav bar profile we defined. Where to define it? How to remove this error message?

Hi Leon,
To start with you need to check the details of the Business Role. Goto SPRO>CRM>Business Role-->Define Business Roles
Select your Business Role and click on details, You can check if Role config key, Nav Bar profile, layout profile, Technical profile and PFCG Role ID is properly assigned.
Once you assign the above profiles to business role you then assign Position like for e.g. Sales rep and Employee to the org model in PPOSA_CRM. Then select the position and goto menu bar and click on Goto>Detailed Object>Enchanced object description. Select Business role in the Infotype name and click in create infotype. Assign your business role.
Check logging in after performing the above step. If it doesnt work assign the parameter ID - CRM_UI_FRAME and parameter value - X in the tcode SU01 for the user in CRM. Also assign SAP_ALL role just to make sure if it works.

Data table not working when jsp is in a subfolder

In order to organize my jsps I created a few subfolders and placed my new jsps in there. The problem is that when I drag a data table onto the page it does not display correctly. Only the headers show up. Draging a datatable onto a jsp that is not in a subfolder works fine. What gives?

There are known issues with moving the pages into subfolders as well as renaming subfolders... from release notes:
Creating a web page in a subfolder causes a page bean to be created in a corresponding sub package in the Java Sources folder. When renaming a subfolder containing web pages, Creator might not properly update the package names of the page beans in the Java Sources directory. In addition, the
managed-beans.xml file might contain leftover references to the old bean names.
Workaround
Use the code editor to change the package names of the Java page beans and delete obsolete
references to the renamed beans in the managed-beans.xml file.

This is one area where we know we need to do more testing - so there may be additional gotcha's we haven't identified yet.

How to create 2 Work Manager Apps on SMP Server (Agentry)

Hi All,
I encountered a problem with my SMP 2.3 SP3 in combination with Agentry 6.1.. and Work Manager 6.0.
I have an already working version of WorkManger on my SMP Server on port 7003, but whenever I create another WorkManager version on a different port e.g. 7005 the SMP/Agentry Server displays the status STARTING but never finishes this processs state.
The version of both Work Manager instances is the same, with the exception that the section [ANGEL Front End Ports] in the file Agentry.ini contains once the port 7003 and in the other file e.g. 7005.
Has anyone a encountered a similar problem or is able to create two different WorkManager versions on the same AgentryServer?

Banding attribute in data table not working

Hi all,
I am using the table for displaying rows of data from the backing bean. I set the banding attribute to be "row" and the bandingInterval="1",but I don't see the effect of these attributes when the table is rendered. Anything I miss in the backing bean? In case I can't make this work, I would want to fall back to drawing row and column grids in the table, similar to the "rule" attribute in the basic jsf dataTable, how do achieve the same thing with ADF table?

How to publish Work Manager 6.0 on SMP3.0 ?

I'm trying to get the Work Manager 6.0 running on SMP 3.0 (running on Linux). Currently the events.log within the Agentry folder states, that the Agentry Server was started. But If I look into the Threads*.log I see there might be a problem and I'm also not able to connect to the server.
Unfortunately I couldn't find any manual or post where someone described the steps to get a work manager running on SMP 3.0. The SMP 3.0 server manual as well as the SDK manual just describing in general how to publish an application to the SMP 3.0. But for Work Manager, there might be some special things to be done ...
Any help/hints are welcome!
Here what I did so far:
Install SMP 3.0 up to SP02 on Suse SLES 11
Install SAP JCo 2.1.11 (test successful: java -jar /DVD_HANA/jco/sapjco.jar -stdout )
Create a new application in SMP with type Agentry and select security profile default
Install SMP3.0 SDK SP02 (Agentry)
Setup Eclispe 4.2.2 with Agentry Plugin 7.0.2
Import a Work Manager 6.0 from Teamshare
Export Agentry Project as a production version and point to the Agentry.ini which is in folder /opt/SAP/MobilePlatform3/Server/configuration/com.sap.mobile.platform.server.agentry.application
Include all jar files to the ZIP file
Import the ZIP file within Agentry application in SMP 3.0
Create JavaBE.ini in folder /opt/SAP/MobilePlatform3/Server which is copied from WM6.0 server
Adjust Agentry.ini in folder /opt/SAP/MobilePlatform3/Server/configuration/com.sap.mobile.platform.server.agentry.application (see section config files)

When trying to connect with the WPF client I get a communication error (14) and nothing is shown in the log files ..

deleting the service events was helpful regarding the error shown in the Thread log file. After publishing a new version the server seems to start, but has no activity to SAP. I expected at least an initial logon to the SAP system using the service user.

Best Practice to Export Solman Customer Data to a new one

Hi Solman experts,
We are facing a new project to move a huge Solution Manager VAR Scenario to a new one server, the biggest problems is system landscape from customer data (LMDB) and incident management customer data (ITSM), also mopz, ewa and sap service delivery that has request from customers to SAP and is Stored in solution Manager.
The information that we have to export to a new Solution Manager is:
Customers: +300 aprox.
Systems: +900 aprox.
- Solution Manager Configuration "Managed system Setup" for around +900 productive systems.
- Customer data in LMDB and SMSY ( product systems, tech.systems, logical components, solutions, etc... ).
- VAR Scenario data from: ITSM (with communication with SAP).
- VAR Scenario data from: Mopz, ewa, Sap engagement and service delivery, Solution Documentation.
We decided to do that to user a flesh installation of Solution Manager SP11 with better system resources, better than migrate our existing one.
What do you think that is the best way to migrate customer data from a SAP Solution Manager SP08 to a new server with SAP Solution Manager SP11 ?

I am thinking that this could be a permission issue. Do you have local Admin permissions on your PC ?
I remember I had some issues, and changed the service "SAPSMP3Service" to use "Local System Account".
I can't remember the details though.

Our development team has added custom data fields for work experience (IT5103) via include CI_P5103. We are unable to adjust the appearance of the fields via Flexibilization.
Steps we followed:
1. Developers added fields (Z_FIELD1 & Z_FIELD2) to CI_P5103
2. Created contexts EXTRNL & INTRNL
3. Configured Flexibilization for Z_FIELD1 & Z_FIELD2 in EXTRNL for SAP/HRRCF_PROFILE/WORKEXPERIENCE_DETAIL.BSP to Hidden (Item Considered for Calculating Layout)
4. Configured Flexibilization for Z_FIELD1 & Z_FIELD2 in INTRNL for SAP/HRRCF_PROFILE/WORKEXPERIENCE_DETAIL.BSP to Display Only
5. Ran RCF_GENERATE_URLS for both EXTRNL & INTRNL
6. Both fields show on External Candidate Start Page (EXTRNL) and Internal Candidate Start Page (INTRNL) and are not affected by the Flexibilization config
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I understand your feedback, but I don't see anything in that documentation that excludes custom fields from the modification of display.
Define Additional Fields says:
You can define additional fields for various infotypes in a Customer Include. The additional fields are displayed automatically on the relevant page.
Modify Fields in Interfaces says:
In this IMG activity you can switch fields on and off on certain application user interfaces and flag fields as mandatory fields. You assign these field definitions to a context in which the changes to the user interfaces are visible.
Screen flexibilization is possible for the following pages:
Candidate Profile
Namespace/Application/Page Page Name...
SAP/HRRCF_PROFILE/WORKEXPERIENCE_DETAIL.BSP Work Experience
It seems logical we should be able to alter the display for a custom field that if the field is defined in the approriate include.
I guess this could be another case of logic and SAP not following the same path.

I tried to import the customer data via the import manager. I got the error message:
<b>" E1KNA1M wasn't found in the source "</b>
What's wrong with this repository ? I used the DEBMDM06 for extraction out of an R/3 4.7. The XML-file includes this segment !
Can someone help me ?

Let me fill you in with the my environment info. I am using MDM SP 02 with SQL Server on Windows XP.
I am following the SAP NetWeaver MDM 5.5 SP02
Scenario Configuration Guide to import customer Data from R/3 to MDM repository via XI, idoc.
According to guide I was able to extract the Customer data from R/3, and using XI (and FTP) I was able to get the data file customer.dat (which is in XML format).
In console I tried to setup the client system as a you specified, but here is what I see in my MDM console
Name: MDC (R/3 4.6 DEBMDM05)
Code: MDC (R/3 4.6 DEBMDM05)
Client System: Import [ for this field it shows me Import, Export, Import/Export options only and not the inbound/outbound as you specified]. If I select option Import then only it will show this Client System while defining the Port.
For port definition it shows following fields
[Port]
Name : R3Import
Code : R3Import
Type : Inbound
Data Definition: [ dropdown options are Access, Excel, XML, Flat Text, XML Schema. Were you referring this field as the 'Format' field.]
XML Schema: I selected DEBMDM05 from dropdown.
Client System : MDC (R/3 4.6 DEBMDM05)
Map: [ dropdown does not have any values to select and I can not type in that field]
If you are still with me, what are the correct settings for Client system and port?
How those settings are being used in Import Manager?
On Connect to Source dialogue screen what should I select/enter for following fields?
Type : [options are Access, Excel, ODBC, Oracle, Port, SQL Server, XML, XML Schema]
Should I be using Client System and Port or XML/XML Schema????
Client System: MDC (R/3 4.6 DEBMDM05)
Port : [ Why this value 'R3Import' is grayed out??? ]

How do I delete a custom date (in addressbook) with applescript

I can't figure out how to delete a custom date for a contact. I've worked with addresses and emails, phone numbers, but this one eludes me.
I want the script to go through all my contacts and delete every custom date whose label is "Mail Received"
I've searched and found a few people who had problems deleting custom dates, but I can't find an answer...

Delete a custom date doesn't work, it's a bug.
Setting the value of the custom date to "missing value" works here (Mac OS X 10.5.8), but this generates an error (error : AppleEvent handler failed), I use a try block
Try this script
tell application "Address Book"

Task Table in Custom DB as provider in Work Management Service?

I have a task table on a SQL 2008 Database (with usual task columns like assigned_to, task_title, status etc).
I understand that custom providers are unsupported for WMS.
Is it possible to create an External List (BCS) connecting to the SQL task table and use that as a provider for WMS?

Although the implementation of work management service application is based on the provider model, I reckon the current SP 2013 RTM does not support custom providers. Only SharePoint task lists, Project server and MS Exchange are supported for now.

SAP Work Manager 6.0 - Creating notification on mobile device (customizing the default Start and End date)

Dear all,
When I create a notification in SAP Work Manager 6.0, the notification gets created in the back-end with Start Date equal to Current Date + 1 day and End Date equal to Current Date + 3 days.
Can you advise where I can customize this behaviour, so that the Start Date is for example equal to the Current Date and End Date being 14 days in the future? Is this something that would need to be configured in Agentry Editor or within the ABAP stack?

Hi Jason,
We went this route and identified the initial values, and tried to modify those.
No impact though, as if those values are being overwritten elsewhere (whatever value we set, no change on the backend).
