Custom date fields in Interactive Report

Hi,
I am using newly patched version of Apex - 4.0.2.00.06
What I am trying to do is to have two datepicker fields P84_DATE_FROM and P84_DATE_TO in separate HTML region, on the page that has IR / Interactive Report, that will be filter in report source.
In debug mode I noticed that values that are picked with datepicker are not binding in report sql.

where
date between to_date(:P84_DATE_FROM,'DD.MM.YYYY') and to_date(:P84_DATE_TO,'DD.MM.YYYY')
Do I have to force submit on Go button before it executes gReport.search('SEARCH')? Is it the right way to go about this?

I was informed by SAP few months back that Interactive Reports can not be enhanced with custom fields. I don't see any documentation regarding this.
You may want to check with SAP also.

These fields are now not available in the Interactive Reports
I have tried to create my own report using the 'Manage Reports' Work Center
and saw that these fields are not available for picking in the report

Need Report based on "CUSTOM DATA field @ Shop Order Maintenance"

Need the REPORT based on CUSTOM DATA field.
Requirement - I am having the CUSTOM data at Shop Order Maintenance that is called as XXX, I need some report in SAP ME which can display the SFC related to particular Shop order based on XXX Number.

As far as I remember there is no such base report. So, you may try to create it using SDK or request it as custom enhancement from SAP.
If you want to create it using SDK, you can find the required data for report in CUSTOM_FIELDS table.

CRM 7.0 - Enhancement of Data Sources for interactive Reporting

Hallo All,
I would like to know whether anybody has positive experience with the enhancement of CRM Data Sources for interactive Reporting. I read that the enhancement of Customer fields should be possible (Those Data Sources below the Hierarchy node /CRMBW/ROOT).
I have seen that the extract structure can be enhanced via RSA6 (as for other data sources).
Questions:
1. Which USEREXIT / BADI has to be used to fill the added fields?
2. Does it work?

Those DS are not meant to be enhanced manually but only by one of the following two ways:
1. Adding custom fields with the Application Enhancement Tool (AET) in the CRM UI.
2. Adding SAP fields with the Interactive Reporting Enhancement Workbench (IREW).
The AET is available since CRM 7.0. Please find more details in the SAP Help Portal:

Different calendar styles: seeded vs. custom date fields

All,
In several reports we prompt users to select an opportunity close date (seeded date field) that is within a given period of interest using a prompt on the close date field. The calendar style provides two buttons to select the starting and ending points. Then the user must select the refresh link to narrow the date range and then pick the first and second dates. This requires five clicks. Users find this cumbersome.
In contrast, we have a couple of reports that use a custom date field and users are prompted to select a beginning and end date. For this custom date field the calendar style provides a calendar button that allows you to directly select the first and second date without having to filter the range of possible dates. This is obviously only two clicks and is preferred by users.
Does anyone know how to get the "nice" date picker to apply to seeded date fields as in the first case?

Custom Date Field not showing up in Pages Inspector

I created a custom date field in Address Book and now want to merge info from Address Book into a Pages template I created (including this new custom date field). When I go to the Inspector to add the custom date field to the template, it is not listed as a field - only Anniversary and Birthday are listed as "other" fields.
How do I get the custom date field to show up in the inspector?

The Help is unaware of the true program behaviour.
In version 3, custom AddressBook fields are not usable in Pages.
_Go to "Provide Pages Feedback" in the "Pages" menu_, describe what you wish.
Then, cross your fingers, and wait _at least_ for iWork'09

Data model in Interactive Reporting

Could any one clarify me on What is Data model in Interactive report and how we can use exactly.

A data model is the physical representation of your tables joined together.
In SQL terms it the FROM and WHERE (JOIN) clauses.
an IR Query section depends on a Data Model. That Data Model can be a Master Data Model (Shared with many Query Sections) or a regular Data Model.
Master Data Models cannot be changed within the Query Section - Their Background is Grey and will indicate so in the upper left corner of the screen...
Locked Data Model: {data model section name}
Master Data Models are useful in that you only design it once and then it and its connection are shared with many Query Sections. And modifications to the Data Model are then applied in the Data Model Section and each dependent Query Section has those changes.
For a more comple defintion open Interactive Reporting and go to HELP. In the Search type "Data Modeling"

Hi,
I followed your suggestion and defined an IR with apex_item.text columns and it works fine. Now however I face a new problem when I run the page and use the standard Search Bar:
- Click on Actions/Filter
- Select a column, for example the employee name.
- Open the Expression field LOV: I correctly see the different names.
- When I select one of the names, in the Expression field, instead of the name, I see:
"<input type="text" name="f03" size="20" maxlength="2000" value="Eugene" />"
Horrible!!!!!!
Is there a way to see the name and not that expression? The same thing get downloaded, so it´s really annoying.

Displaying Customer Date-Fields in SRM 4.0

Hallo,
I want to display a customer date-field (data type DATS) in the basic data of a SC. The Problem is that the field is only displayed, but you can't enter any data. When i change the data type to CHAR you can enter Data in the field.

please try to add the authorization object S_DEVELOP (Role: SAP_EC_BBP_ADMINISTRATOR) to the user, and test again.

Please find the below mentioned issue , which I am facing at the time of creating BAM alerts.
I have created a data object, when i am creating the bam alert [ create new alert --> create rule --> when i select an even " When a data field in a report meets specified conditions" and "When a data field in a data object meets specified conditions" then below in rule expression I am unable to edit the expression of "this data fields has a specified condition of x".]

Hi,
Our development team has added custom data fields for work experience (IT5103) via include CI_P5103. We are unable to adjust the appearance of the fields via Flexibilization.
Steps we followed:
1. Developers added fields (Z_FIELD1 & Z_FIELD2) to CI_P5103
2. Created contexts EXTRNL & INTRNL
3. Configured Flexibilization for Z_FIELD1 & Z_FIELD2 in EXTRNL for SAP/HRRCF_PROFILE/WORKEXPERIENCE_DETAIL.BSP to Hidden (Item Considered for Calculating Layout)
4. Configured Flexibilization for Z_FIELD1 & Z_FIELD2 in INTRNL for SAP/HRRCF_PROFILE/WORKEXPERIENCE_DETAIL.BSP to Display Only
5. Ran RCF_GENERATE_URLS for both EXTRNL & INTRNL
6. Both fields show on External Candidate Start Page (EXTRNL) and Internal Candidate Start Page (INTRNL) and are not affected by the Flexibilization config
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I understand your feedback, but I don't see anything in that documentation that excludes custom fields from the modification of display.
Define Additional Fields says:
You can define additional fields for various infotypes in a Customer Include. The additional fields are displayed automatically on the relevant page.
Modify Fields in Interfaces says:
In this IMG activity you can switch fields on and off on certain application user interfaces and flag fields as mandatory fields. You assign these field definitions to a context in which the changes to the user interfaces are visible.
Screen flexibilization is possible for the following pages:
Candidate Profile
Namespace/Application/Page Page Name...
SAP/HRRCF_PROFILE/WORKEXPERIENCE_DETAIL.BSP Work Experience
It seems logical we should be able to alter the display for a custom field that if the field is defined in the approriate include.
I guess this could be another case of logic and SAP not following the same path.

Hi can anyone help me please? New to crystal reports and I have added the same Data field on a report being and I need to filter these one for Credits and the other for Debits. When I use Select Expert it effects both columns. I know that there is a logical way of doing this but being new have yet to be able to find it. Please help.

you can put a block filter on the data saying ex facturation is equal to c or to d leaving you only with credit or debit amounts.

IW38 Traffic Light for Custom Date field

Hi Experts,
I am trying use the Reference Field for Monitor. It has got 1. Priority, 2. Order/Start/End, 3. Scheduled Start/End.
We have created a custom date field as Original start/Finish dates. I want to create traffic light based on this date.
Can you please help me where and how to do this configuration. I have already searched the forum. But no help found.
