Custom File Processor implementing UploadedFileProcessor

I am implementing a custom file processor since upload of files will be in GB, Faces Context is not available it gives NULL also the ServletRequest Object available seems to be a trimmed instance as it not could list any parameter values..
Any idea on how to read parameter from request inside that class or to get to FacesContext?

  • Custom File Accesor implementation in 6.1 MP1

    I have made an custom file accessor (IPTCustomFileAccessor) using the Portal Server API for a crawler that is crawling a news website. I found example of the implementation of a custom file accessor to ALI version 5 but it seems that it does not go the same way in version 6.1.
    Here is what I have done:
    1. copied my custom accessor .jar file to <PORTAL_HOME>\accessors\customfa.jar2. Created accesors.xml to <PORTAL_HOME>\settings\config with following content:
    <accessorlibs>
    <accessorlib name="sampleaccessor" path="accessors/" />
    </accessorlibs>3. After that restarted the Portal. When the portal is starting it gives me some error about 5.0 configs not suitable in 6.1
    After that I tried to use the 6.1's dynamic loads:
    1. I created a new folder named accessors to <PT_HOME>\settings\portal\dynamicloads and moved the accessors.xml to that location
    2. Restarted the portal and then I get an error message:
    1559     portal.xxxx.xxx     8-22-2007     10:57:56.250     Fatal     UI_Infrastructure     Thread-0     com.plumtree.uiinfrastructure.application.startup.LoadCustomLoads     Fatal Exception loading lib file: c:\bea\alui\settings\portal\dynamicloads\Accessors\accessors.xml

Please make sure that the file is formatted correctly.Does anyone have a clue how should the accessors.xml be formatted? Thanks in advance!

    SSO info - as well as most other portal config info that used to be in various XML files - was moved to $PT_HOME/settings/portal/portalconfig.xml in G6.

  • Can I create an automatic custom file save name/path once I click digital signature field?

    Hi,
    What I'm trying to do is once I click on a digital signature and I add my digital signature it requires me to sign it.  I want to know if there's a workaround to where once I click it it will automatically save to a file name based on a field and to a pre-determined directory?  Say, if I want it to save to a users desktop.  My supervisor is wanting to eliminate his employees having to change the file name to the format he wants and selecting the save location and make it automatic for everyone to have it saved at the same location on their computers.
    Will likely have everyone in the office create a folder named 'Leave Requests'.  This will be the location on the desktop where all these automatically saved files would go.  The custom file name would be Emp_Name + "Leave Request" + Date where Emp_Name and Date are 2 variables that are user inputted field values on the form.  I have looked around but there doesn't seem to be too much on this one.  I do realize I can't create a custom 'Save As' location and path name but I have read a little about creating a custom automatic save feature and wanted to know if I could implement that.  Here is the information I read about:
    http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/print/how-save-pdf-acrobat-javascript
    I appreciate all help any of you can give me in this matter.  Thanks!!!

  • Custom File Info Panels Doc Available !!

    Documentation for creating your own custom file info panels is available at:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/xmp/custompanel.html
    I'm interested in hearing your feedback!
    The custom File Info panel for XMP metadata allows you to define, create, and manage custom metadata properties using standard Adobe applications. You can do this by creating a Custom Panel Description file, and placing it in a common location referenced by Adobe applications that support this feature. You can also supply localization dictionary files to localize the contents of your Custom Panel Description files. The resulting custom dialog panel is seen by users when they select the File Info menu option.
    The File Info panel allows you to support paths to metadata properties which are not defined in default or other standard XMP schemas, but are needed for your application, company, or industry. By using XMP for that metadata, you take advantage of the potential of XMP for interchange and participation in asset management systems, while providing the ability to use standard Adobe applications to manage it.

    Mark,
    The PDF/A extension schema provides a big step to the self-sufficient functionality that you are asking about. It permits the XMP schema description information of custom XMP schemas to be embedded into the XMP as payload so that the file can be opened in years to come and the target metadata acurately interperted. Currently, PDF tools are active candidate to make use of this facility. However, there is nothing preventing future use with other file formats, and other tools (via plug-ins?).
    It does not include vocabulary, static text, and panel presentation layout information.
    http://www.pdfa.org/doku.php
    It defines a "known" subset of standard XMP properties from the 2001 XMP Spec. Everything else is "custom".
    You could craft a custom File Info "template" with the PDF/A extension for your custom XMP fields. Then import the template into each file.
    The PDF/A extension schema itself is implemented with multi-dimensional XMP arrays. MetaGrove Plug-in dialog screen shots can be viewed on http://www.poundhillsoftware.net/Acrobat.htm

  • Is there a date entry widget for XMP custom file info panels?

    Looking through the Custom File Info Panels documentation, the samples, and the default info panels presented in Photoshop, I can't find any reference to a date entry widget - the closest I've seen is the date_static_text widget.
    Is there any way to present an editable, validating date entry field to our end-users through the File Info panel?
    (the info we're wanting to store is a release date so it's user-specified, and not derivable from the file in any way)

  • Use of Custom Files in Veristand

    Hello All,
       Haven't been able to find much documentation related to use of "Custom Files" in Veristand.  Would like to know of any examples of file types users have implemented.  Specifically, I would like to know if you can "call" certain file types from the models or custom devices (i.e. for configuration parameters or databases).
    Thanks much,
    GSinMN
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Howdy GSinMN,
    There is a bit of documentation in the VeriStand Help that discusses Custom Files specifically.
    Adding Custom Files
    http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/372846D-01/veristand/add_custom_files/
    Although, the help doesn't quite reveal the full capabilities of this feature. There are two distinct use cases I have been able to identify for the Custom Files option in VeriStand. I will list them out in more detail and show you an example.
    Making Files easily accessible to the Operator in the development environment.
    When a file is added into the Custom Files section of the Project it will have its own icon in the project and will be included in the project dependencies. Having the file brought to view in the project is helpful if there is a troubleshooting image or specific document (calibration specs, steps for running a test, etc) that you would like your Operator to have access to. For example, in the example project I've included, there is a file added called "TestA1_PreTestSetup.txt". From the project (on the toolbar) the Operator has the option to "Open File" (to view it) or "Export..." to investigate its path on the operator machine.
    Please note that the file is also now added to the dependencies of the project.
    If you begin to investigate the file in the project and lets say you right-click on it and notice that there is a Properties option. You may notice that the Description for this file is empty. This can actually be populated being modifying the XML source of the .nivsproj. This also leads into the second use case for Custom Files.
    Transferring files to the RT target which can be used by the VeriStand Engine.
    If you were to investigate the .nivsproj XML you could first find the Custom Files section, and then the tags for the item you configured.
    Here are the relevant tags and a break down,
    <DependentFile> - This points to the source of the custom file. In this circumstance, I have added the file to the "C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\NI VeriStand 2011\Test Procedures" directory. It is able to resolve the the first component to "To Common Doc Dir" because this is the common directory for VeriStand, and then it appends the Test Procedures folder and name of the file that I created.
    <Description> - Populating this tag gives us the ability to fill in the description information that occurs when we right click the file in the project.
    <RTDestination> - Populating this tag gives you the ability to also send the File to the target upon deployment. Your VeriStand engine could then access this file during operation. As far as which types of files to use, the link in the post above should help guide that.
    Please Note: Modifying the XML of the project gives you added customization and functionality to your project but these modifications should not be done heedlessly. Incorrectly modifying the tags in the XML file can lead to improper performance and outcomes. So tread carefully and make only minor changes at a time.
    I hope this helps. Have a great day, GSinMN

  • CEP Custom File Adapter

    Good Day!
    I'm new to CEP. I would like to ask how can I develop a custom file adapter wherein it tries to get only new lines added into the file.
    I'm trying also to integrate this with BAM for reporting. Any tutorials out there which I can refer upon?
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,
    You create your qwn adapter by creating a bean or an event bean.
    If your adapter needs to send events to the EPN (for example the new lines that you read from the file) then you need to create an event bean.
    Your event bean will needs implement the StreamSource API. If you want to read the file periodically then you will need to create a loop. One way to do this is using the RunnableBean API.
    So your adapter code should look something like that:
    public class FileAdapter implements StreamSource, RunnableBean{
        StreamSender sender;
        boolean suspendFlag = false;
        @Override
        public void setEventSender(StreamSender sender) {
            this.sender = sender;
        @Override
        public void run() {
            while(!getSuspendFlag()){
                // read the file
                // implement your logic
                // create an event instance
                sender.sendInsertEvent(event);
        @Override
        public synchronized void suspend() throws Exception {
            suspendFlag = true;
        private synchronized boolean getSuspendFlag(){
            return suspendFlag;
    As for BAM:
    One way is to put the events that your EPN produces to a queue. It is very common practice for the BAM to read messages from a queue. Since BAM is deployed on weblogic and since weblogic can also act as a JMS server, you can put the queue on the BAM weblogic.
    However, if this queue needs to be highly available, or if the load on it is going to be very high, it recommended to put it on separate weblogic or weblogic cluster.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards

  • XMP Custom File Info Panels

    I've downloaded the new XMP Custom File Info Panels software. I installed the sample xmp panel descripter files in the proper location. Is it possible to view the customized metadata on a computer that doesn't have the descripter files? I hope the descriptor files get imbedded in the image with the customized xmp metadata.

  • OIM Custom File Connector

    Hi Guys,
    I'm new to custom connector development. I'm developing a custom file connector for OIM. The AIM is that when a user is added to OIM a custom file connector is invoked and the user should dumped into a file. Can some one outline high level step to follow to accomplish the following task? Also can someone suggest good resources which will help for the development?
    Thanks in advance for help.

    just write a post process event handler, which will trigger on create user.
    Now write a java code(file handling) to write on the file for current user data. The data will be available in Orchestration
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14309/oper.htm#CCHHHGEC
    If you need periodic (ie twice or thrice a day) then implement Scheduled task.

  • How to create a custom file dialog box/vi (win)??

    Hello,
    I'd like to create a custom file dialog box to handle the reading of my tdms files. Basicly I want to extend the existing file select dialog box with a graphical preview of the data in the selected file. I know I can create all the logic for file selection by hand and use a list box to display the filelist, but I would rather prefer to somehow use the existing windows controls. So is it possible to get the windows file selector on the front panel of a vi and react to the user selection? If so, is there any example available on how to do this? Any other options? I'm using labview 8.2
    thanks for your input!
    klaus

    Klaus,
    I wouldn't know that Microsoft provides access to the controls that Explorer and file dialog consist of.
    There might be a different and more powerful solution though. The
    WINDOWS Explorer / file dialog have a plugin API that allows you to
    associate your own application for thumbnail creation with a particular
    file extension. That way, TDMS thumbnails will show in any instance of
    Explorer and
    File Dialog without you having to make your own dialog. Basically, you
    would need to compile the VI that creates the thumbnail into a
    LabVIEW-built DLL and then wrap this DLL with some C++ boilerplate code
    that Microsoft provides. You might want to have a look at the bottom of
    this article to get an idea of how the whole thing works:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/0600/w2kui2/default.aspx.
    Hope that helps,

  • DW CS3 - custom file extension no longer working correctly

    Hi - for a particular job, I needed to use a custom file
    extension .htmx and it has been working fine.
    However, I went into DW CS3 today, and the file opens in the
    DW editor, but the code coloring and code hints etc seem to be
    broken.
    I've checked the Extensions.txt and MMDocumentTypes.xml
    files, and all seems present and correct - see
    this screencast to
    see the problem.
    Any ideas why it's not working? (I'm on Vista Business, but
    it has definitely been working and now isn't....)
    Mike

    Well, I managed to fix it by overwriting my
    MMDocumentTypes.xml file with a clean version from another machine.
    Weird.

  • Action hard codes custom file name

    I recorded an action to crop and save for web. I have done this 1000's of times over the years, but in CS6 it is hardcoding a Custom File Name, and in the wrong format too boot.
    I am saving as JPG only and accepting the default name, which should leave me with an action that has no custom name, yet it does, and the custom name is of an HTML file name.
    So, when I run my action, it names every single file the same name, and never creates a jpg.
    This is a new bug in CS6. It wasn't here before.
    I can't figure out how to get around it????
    Kirk

    Figured out a way to work around this, but it is irritating. Instead of my action doing this:
    Flatten
    Crop (user interaction)
    Save For Web
    Close (without saving)
    I have to do this:
    Flatten
    Save as JPG (in same directory where I want the Web file to go)
    Crop (user interaction)
    Save For Web (Over top last saved file)
    Close (without saving)
    For some reason, when I use the save as JPG, it doesn't custom code the file name and when I save for web in the same place it also doesn't custom code the file name.
    I never had to do this before in all the years of using this type of action, and I use it ALOT!
    I have found that it sometimes does not hardcode the file name, but there seems to be no rhyme or reason.

  • Custom File Info-panel stays empty

    Hi all!
    I want to create my first custom File Info panel and I have trouble with it.
    I use either a sample from the XMP-FileInfo-SDK-5.1 (e.g. "BasicControlSamplePanel") or even the "Generic" tool for simple XMP based panels.
    I use Photoshop CS4 (on Mac OS X 10.6.4) and so I copy the panels to "~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP/Custom File Info Panels/2.0/".
    Now I look with Photoshop and I see the tab for the new panel but the content is empty...
    Of course I did no modifications on the samples for my first try.
    Any clues what's wrong here? I guess it may be a simple error because even the sample does not work...
    TIA,
    H.Sup
    PS. I did also a test on Win XPwith the same result.

    To answer my own question:
    The documentation really sucks.
    I found this reply from Adobe <http://forums.adobe.com/message/2540890#2540890>
    usually we recommend to install custom panels into the "user" location at:
    WINDOWS XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Adobe\XMP\Custom File Info Panels\2.0\panels\
    WINDOWS VISTA: C\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\XMP\Custom File Info Panels\2.0\panels\
    MAC OS: /user/username/Application Data/Adobe/XMP/Custom File Info Panels/2.0/panels/
    The reason why your panels did not work properly was a missing Flash trust file for that user location. Without such a trust file the embedded flash player refuses to "play" your custom panel.
    Please see section "Trust files for custom panels" in the XMPFileInfo SDK Programmer's Guide on page 50 for all details on how to create such trust files.
    After many wasted hours I have now the simple panels running.
    Cheers,
    H.Sup
