Custom Label on Session Saved Screen

Hi ,
We are trying to show a custom label in Web Determinations after the Session is saved. We are facing two issues :-
1. How to display a long(2-3 lines) label. Currently the text to the label “case-save-label” gets truncated if it is more than one line long.
2. How to remove or make blank “RestoreCaselabelInfoMessage” label. Making it blank under the properties file throws an error on Save click on WD.

You are probably running into the height of the div element where you are trying to display the multiline label.
My guess is that you are trying to display it in the "menu" div. If you look at the main.vm.css you will see that the height for the class "menu" is fixed to "1.2em". You can try removing or specifying a new height and you should be able to get more room to display.
In general if formatting rules like height or width can be found in this style sheet file.

Globally adding "custom" labels to Address Book

Any way to do it?
I understand how labels work now (I think); that a custom label is only saved with the contact itself.
What I want to do is to add a label (e.g.: "Skype" to the phone numbers) that I can choose in existing contacts without having to retype it every time. For new contacts, I can change the template to help a bit, but for existing contacts, it seems there is no way but to type it every time.

you add add it to the AB template in AB preferences->template. then it will automatically appear in all new vcards you create. but for some reason it won't be automatically added to existing contacts. that seems a bug to me.

Voice Memo custom labels won't save since OS 4.0 - verified at Genius bar

I use voice memos to record invoicing information as I go through my day. I then open the new recording, select Custom, and name the entry something meaningful (makes it easier to reference later). Since the OS 4.0 (and now 4.0.1 as well) upgrade, once I exit the Voice Recorder app, and the open it again - all of the custom names for recording are gone. They are not saved. I went to the genius bar and the tech. verified that the same thing happened with his iPhone.
- I'm new to Apple... just got my iphone a few months ago. What has the history been of Apple resolving issues and bugs like this in a new OS release? It worked perfectly prior to the update, and since it's easily re-creatable on another iPhone, it's clearly a bug... any thoughts?

I've done the restart and reset with the same result. I'm not anxious to do a restore until I have cleared all pending voice memo's and my invoicing is up to date - just in case!! I do have a backup in iTunes - but since this represents my revenue, I'll hold off on that for a short time.
One question though - the tech. was able to recreate this at the genius bar on his phone easily; I just wanted to confirm with you - Are you actually CLOSING the voice recorder app, or just leaving the app? If you open the currently multi-tasking apps on your dock (the jiggling open applications) and end the session with the application - then reopen it... that is when you see the failure. If you just close it and then go back in ... the custom labels are maintained.
Just wanted to have you check that before I went to the trouble of a restore - everything else is working perfectly!

Order of custom labels on Address Book

When I edit custom labels on telephone field, in a new Card, and save it, the order of custom labels changes everytime I entry in Address Book's Card, apparently in random order.
Can someone help me?

same problem here. I even trashed my cache and prefs for Address Book, re-opened the application and set up the custom template from scratch. Alas, the order of fields seems completely random once a filled-out card is displayed. Trashing the prefs seemed to help from the standpoint that I can now go in and (very tediously) cut/paste info from the fields (and change the labels accordingly) and it seems to stay in that order once saved. Annoying problem…
Update: Well, it seems that the order is not retained once closing and re-opening the Address Book application. Each time it re-opens, the fields are in a random order. The order of the fields in MobileMe seem slightly more stable, but not completely. Very strange.

Missing 'Add Custom Label' button again

A mate and I both have an iphone 4, same firmware i.e. 6.1.3 and as far as i can see all settings are the same. However when entering the same new contact on my phone I have at the bottom of the 'select phone type label' screen an add a 'Custom Label' button, the list of phone types labels on mine are 'Mobile, iPhone, Home, Work, Main, Home Fax, Work Fax, Pager, Other' On my mates his list is 'Home, work, home fax, work fax, pager, assistant, car, company main, radio' and the 'Add Custom Label' button is missing.
Other contact entries on his phone have the same list as mine and they include the 'Add Custom Label' button.
They are both only synchronised with icloud Can anyone help please?

I have found the answer - the 'Contacts' in my mates iPhone was set to 'Exchange' set it to 'iCloud' both iPhones now have the 'Add Custom Label' option

Problem Adding Custom Labels to Address Book

I add custom labels to the Template in Address Book Preferences. There's no problem at this stage, the custom labels appear along with the preset labels in the Template. But when I leave Preferences, go back to Address Book and add a new card, the custom labels disappear.
What am I doing wrong?

Would you check this work-around for me? I think I found a way to compose a master list of custom labels and have them available for multiple cards (new and old) in Address Book on a MacBookPro and in the Contacts directory on an iPhone. I have tried compiling a master list of custom labels using Address Book Preferences/Template and I find there's a limit to the number of custom labels I can add as a label for each field.
Here's my workaround.
1) Go to the iPhone Contacts directory.
2) Add a new card.
2) Enter data in these fields: address, date, email, and phone. The standard label will appear on the screen below the data.
3) Tap the standard label and you will go to a screen with 2 windows. The top window has the standard or preset labels for that field but below it in a second window is a button "Add Custom Label". Tap on this button and you will be able to add the text for a Custom Label for each of these fields. This will then become a master list of Custom Labels that can be used in most labels in the iPhone Contacts Directory.
4) If you have your IPhone set up to synch with your MacBookPro or iMac, the entry in the iPhone Contacts directory will be transferred to your other Mac, with the Custom Labels.
Barney - 15E: Can you find a glitch??? To me it seems to make a master list of custom labels available for all card, new and old. The only problem is that the input has to be done on the iPhone.

IOS 5 Custom Labels

I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS5 but now I cannot add custom labels to telephone numbers in my contacts app. This is only the case for newly created contacts as I can still add custom labels for old contacts.
Also, when adding new fields (i.e. Related people) to old contacts, the label list is much longer than when trying to create a new contact and adding the field.
Has anyone been able to solve this problem?

I have not tried this since the iOS 5 update so I thought I would check my phone out. First I tested on an old contact and then created a new contact and I do not have that problem. I am still able to add customer fields for both old and NEW contacts. I did notice to get out of the screen you need to press cancel but it keeps the new label.
Also I have the same list (ie Related People) for both new and old contacts. The default list and the list that I have created from other contacts. It sure sounds like the OS may be curupte, My thought is have you tried to reset and restore on your phone?
This is stil a feature in iOS 5 and works the same on my phone as it did prior to the update, so you should have no problem getting it to work, if all was operating correctly.
Like they say, Rebot, Reset, and Restore. Hope this helps.

Logical database sdf in custom program not triggering selection screen?

I added logical Database SDF (screen 905) to a custom program - but the selection screen is not getting triggered.
Do I have to associate these somewhere?

How do you add a custom label to dates in contacts- I have multiple birthdays in contact group and want to change label through customise to add additional birthday- unless another way to add second birthday to contacts and identify each one?????? or way to link contacts with same address phone number etc but id birthdays?????

You have some contacts with more than one birthday?
To add a custom label for a date, select Edit for an existing contact. Select Add Field. Select Date. Scroll up with the Info window above the date selection and select Other for the new date selection. Select Add Custom Label and then select this label for the new date field for the contact.
As far as linking dates with multiple contacts, the answer is no to that.

Sort of depend on what you are trying to do precisely. In Edit mode, if you tap on any label, you will be given a list of options, plus an Add Custom Label option near the bottom of the list

I want to add custom fields in basic data screen of Invoice entry in SRM 5.0.
As invoice Entry screen is divided into three parts:
1. Basic data Screen
2. Header data screen
3. Item data screen
Now according to OSS Note number 672960 we are able to add Custom fields in the header as well as item data screen of invoice entry without any difficulty.
but our requirement is to add custom fields in the basic data screen.
Is there way available to add custom fields in the basic data screen.
