Custom UI on Premiere problems.

I've got some custom-UI problems on Premiere CS3:
1) How do I get the ECP background colour, so I can clear a section to it?
PF_AppGetColor() succeeds but doesn't actually return a colour for any of the colour types. (if Premiere at least cleared to the panel colour I'd be fine, but it clears to black - why?).
2) How can I draw a custom UI without a topic? (many of Premiere's effects do this). PF_PUI_TOPIC doesn't seem to be supported.
3) How can I dynamically resize my UI's rectangle, to scale it as the user adjusts the ECP width (like many of Premiere's effects do)?

Customizing AM Images & Facing Problem in Update & Deploy War files

Hey Guys!
This is Yash Bansal from Gurgaon, India. i am new to access manager. i am now customizing it and facing problem in customizing.
I have customized images which is present in directory path:
opt/SUNWam/web-src/services/images/
and updated services.war file which is present in directory path:
opt/SUNWam/war/
with command
jar -uvf services.war /opt/SUNWam/web-src/services/images/login-backimage.jpg
then deployed configuration from the web server 7.0 admin console.
after that when i open the url
http://<hostname>/amserver/console
then Page Not Found error comes in the browser.
Just wanted to ask you guys am i doing the steps right. please help if someone know how to update and deploy war file on Sun Web server 7.0.

Hi!
Deploying the configuration does not (re)deploy the application. Webserver stores a copy of the deployed application and all configurations in the admin instance. When you change anything in the webserver console it is first written there and only applied to the productive instance when you deploy configuration.
When you add images, jsps or something else to /opt/SUNWam/... and want it redeployed you have to use amconfig command. in /opt/SUNWam/bin there is a file called amsamplesilent. You have to fill the values in this file and then use
./amconfig -s amsamplesilent
I believe for a redeploy you have to set DEPLOY_LEVEL to 21, not sure here, check documentation.
I personally usually do not redeploy for images and such, I simply copy them directly the deployed location.
Why http://.../amserver/console does not work anymore, I have no idea. But at least after a redeploy it should be there again.

When CUSTOM.pll contains a call to a package that in turn calls a remote package, the CUSTOM.pll compile hangs forever.

2. We have observed the problem happens due to synonym present on the remote database(db link).
It doesn’t work if you are calling SYNONYM on remote database. It works, for calls to tables or procedures or packages in remote database if that object is OWNED DIRECTLY by the account to which dblink is connecting to.

The database link is created under the APPS user in the local database but connects to a different user (SWCS_ICE_SUPCHAIN) in the remote database.
The user in the remote database does not own any objects. It only has synonyms to objects owned by apps and others.
Incidentally, the hang also happens when trying to describe the remote package from the application tier (8.0.6.3 sqlplus) but the describe works fine from the DB tier (10gR2 sqlplus).

Custom Report .csv export problem

I have set up a custom report so I can download a csv file with all orders starting 4/1/2014. It is working well except for one small hiccup. Whatever is in the very first position in the first row (the first column header) has a few weird control characters in it that hang things up when importing the file elsewhere. When I download the csv I have to open the csv, fix the first header by retyping it, and resave the file before I can import it into another application.
For example, if the first header is Company Type, the csv includes it as
ï»¿"Company Type"
If the first header is Name, it is in the CSV as
ï»¿"Name"
Any idea why this is happening?

additional details: I can only see the control characters if I open the file in Excel. If I open the csv in a text editor they do not show. However, even though not visible in a text editor, unless I retype "Name" for example, the file fails to import into another application, in this case ShipStation.com. I've also found that, strangely, I can only seem to fix the problem in Excel - trying to fix the file in a text editor by deleting "Name" and retyping it doesn't work.
Also, I am on a Mac if that makes a difference.

Customized Crystal Report execution problem in Win 7

Hi Experts,
I am getting a screen of Server : Database : Userid : Password while attempt to run a customized crystal report from Win 7 based platform. In the screen database selection option is inactive so it is not possible to select the databse.
The OS of user PC has been formated recently current OS is Win 7 and before that it was XP running fine. Is it a report problem or any other problem please guide??

are you running report from SAP ? if so , Run SAP as administrator(right click on SAP icon and click run as administrator) and run report - it will work fine .
if ypu are running report directly from crystal report , run crystal report as administrator.
or change crystal report connection from SAP business one to OLEDB and update datasource.

Ageing(Customer and Vendor) report problem

Dear Experts,
Firstly, Glad to be before you.
Here, we have developed ageing report for Customers and Vendors. In which the Partial payment line item (let us say A) against an Invoice (lets say X) is not being shown under the same age of Invoice Line Item.
For example:
Scenario 1)
Let me say that the Payment Terms 'Z001' under which the line Items fall due only after 30 days.
I have posted an invoice on 01.09.2011 with Rs. 20000
If we run the Ageing as on 16.12.2011, the output is projected as follows:

Here for Invoice NO PROBLEM is being raised, as the Invoice Posting Date is taken as the Baseline Date from which the Ageing will be calculated based on Payment terms assigned to Customer in the master data.
But the Problem is when we do partial payment:
Scenario 2)
Let me Take the same example:
Let me say that the Payment Terms 'Z001' under which the line Items fall due only after 30 days.
I have posted an invoice on 01.09.2011 with Rs. 20000 (Due by 77 days as on 16.12.2011)
We have received payment of 8000 against the invoice, on 22.09.2011 (due by 55 days as on 16.12.2011)
now the Ageing report is ran on same 16.12.2011, for which the output is as follows:

As per Technical logic whats happening is correct. Because the Base Line date of the partial payment line Item is being picked from the posting date of the same. BUT NOW, THE REQUIREMENT IS AS FOLLOW:
The wants to see the related Partial payment items also in the same AGE in the report. i.e., we should make the system pick the Baseline date of the partial payment line item(Y) from the posting date(01.09.2011) of the other line item(X) i.e., from the Invoice(X) which is being partial cleared. Can you please suggest me a logic?

We first suggested the client to enter baseline date manually, for which they requested to find some automation. Could you please kindly suggest some logic for changing the Baseline date of partial payment line item to the baseline date of its respective invoice item.

Lightroom 4 / Camera RAW 6.7 causing Premiere Problems?

I've also posted this in the Premiere Forum, but wanted to copy it here too....
After installing Lightroom 4 and the Camera RAW 6.7 beta, my Premiere Pro CS5.5.2 Win7Pro stopped working, popping up this garbled error message:
(The other program which stopped working at the same time was the Sony EXCAM EX Clip Browser!)
A reinstallation of Premiere Pro CS5.5 had got Premiere working again, but just wondering if anyone else had had this issue?

Custom book export resolution problem in PDF - only 150DPI!?

I've been using the custom book option and when it came to exporting my PDF I have run into a problem involving the undocumented output resolution of a PDF at a given size. The custom book dialog allows you to create a book with a certain size in inches, but this really has no real meaning since the resolution of that output cannot also be specified in either the layout option or the print dialog. For example is it 150dpi or 300dpi? From some investigation it appears to be locked at 150DPI.
Now I would have thought that Aperture was intelligent enough to just treat the album layout (this is my assumption) as some kind of smart object, where the layout is resolution independent and the final output resolution can be determined when printing to a printer or PDF. In that case the dialog for the setup of the custom size is correct. However, there is no option that I can see in the print dialog to actually specify the output resolution; Aperture is left to its own devices to specify an output resolution, which is undocumented.
I use a printer that accepts JPG or TIF files and I need 300dpi for an album size of 10x13 inches. This equates to 3900x3000 pixels per page. I am able to export to PDF in the print dialog and then used an automator action to export each page of the PDF as JPG and reimported back into Aperture 2 in the same action. In the PDF>JPG conversion option there is the ability to set the DPI to 300. That works fine and the resulting JPG images show as 300dpi (3900x3000px). When looking at the images though they look a little soft, which leads me to believe that my action was simply interpolating a 150dpi image in the PDF into 300dpi.
So to test this, I noticed that if I exported just one page of the album as a PDF and opened the PDF in Preview it does indeed tell you that it is 13x10 inches (no mention of the pixel resolution though). So, you can actually reimport a single page PDF into Aperture and if you do this it appears that the actual resolution is 1950x1500 and that equates to 150dpi for a 13x10 inch layout.
So there are two things that could possibly be going on here:
1. The actual layout of the album is locked at 150DPI and the save to PDF simply takes that and exports a PDF at that resolution.
2. The layout of the album is resolution independent, the size of the album (in the custom dialog) simply controls the aspect of the page layout, and the print dialog (save to PDF) is exporting as 150DPI as default. When I run my automator action (these are the Leopard PDF actions), the save each page to JPG action is up-res'ing the image to 300dpi.
This is where I need help. Is 1 or 2 (or something else?) happening. Also, does the PDF save as JPG12? That too is undocumented.
If number 1 is happening I may have to set my album size to 26x20inches to get a 10x13 inch page at 300dpi.
If number 2 is happening I need to find a PDF/TIFF/JPEG print driver to enable me to export at 300dpi as the print dialog in not standard (and we don't get the nice 'save as' drop down where we could do other things. So far my search has led me to CUPS-PDF, but that still doesn't allow for resolution to be set: http://www.codepoetry.net/projects/cups-pdf-for-mosx
Why can't Apple just figure this thing out correctly and allow the resolution to be specified by the user - what an oversight given all of the feedback requests for the custom album tool. We need 300dpi as a minimum as we can always down-res if we want.
Any ideas? I've got albums to send to clients! Help!

When you import any PDF into Aperture, I think it rasterizes any PDF you import to a 150dpi flat image on import, even if it was a high res PDF to begin with. But theres the thing, PDFs don't have dpi (as such). Any shapes or text is a vector so don't have a DPI as they'll scale when printed. The images use their DPI when they were imported from the program that created the PDF.
So I did a quick test and put a page I made from Aperture in to Acrobat and ran a preflight check on all images to check the resolution. It came back at 349.956 ppi, so this example was over 350dpi.

JSF custom tag body content problem

Hi, I'm having some problem with a custom tag I built, but the body of the tag content is not rendered correctly.

The <ul> tags are supposed to be inside of the  & . I've declared in TLD it has JSP content. I've compared to the J2EE tutorial and corejsp book again and again, couldn't figure where I went wrong. So, am I missing something?

Many Premiere Problems

My confidence in Premiere Pro is shaken. The latest version is having Exporting problems...random red flashes, and compositing problems when choosing "Use Maximum Render Quality", all while using software only rendering.
My clients are not happy, I look bad.
I'm using Premiere Pro 7.1 on a Mac Pro 4,1 Quad core 8 processor 2.93 Ghz. OSX 10.8.3
I have a graphics card, that has lots of cuda cores, but is not on your approved list (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 2560 MB), (and causes dissolves and other transition errors) so I use software only rendering and "Match Sequence Settings" to output a correct movie (in the past). Now that is not a sure-fire solution with this red flash flame problem.
The compositing problem concerns alpha channel keys that double or maybe triple their opacity on export when using the Maximum Render Quality option. Semi-transparent layers are no good.
I shouldn't forget, I'm waiting (for over 18 months) for the ability to color correct with speedgrade to my Flanders Pro Monitor via AJA Kona LHE+. Currently it crashes every time I try to turn on the external picture signal.
The inconsistencies in routing audio to external speakers between programs. In Premiere's preferences, audio hardware options, you need to use System Default Input/Output and in the Mac's System preferences the Sound preference needs to be on "Internal Speakers". Yet with Audition, I need to change the Mac's Sound preference to AJA. Audition also needs to be set to AJA. By the way, I haven't been able to have Premiere and Audition running at the same time, for these audio discrepancies, I believe.
So my question, is adobe going to get to a professional state that I can trust, and use effectively? My doubts are growing. Are there answers to my problems?

This might sound like a silly question but when you installed your operating system, did you do a clean install. We have found that overwriting causes so many issues with communication btwn software and the hardware. We wipe and re-install all the software on all 4 suites every 6 months. It's a tiny ball-ache but we don't really have that many issues.
Do you also have a media on a shared network drive (NAS or SanMP for example) this can effect the reliability greatly deoending on what types of media you have and what wrting permissions you have on this drives.
We use Blackmajic for our monitoring, which isnt bad. Again, with CS^ we had sync issues and still do a bit in CC but it's managable. We found that PrPro CS6 used to have issues with sound outputting and would lose but CC seems to have ironed out most of that for us.
I used Speedgrade for about an hour recently.... nightmare in UI, speed (or lack of) and actual ability to effect the picture the way we wanted. We now use Resolve and it's great... quick and easy when needed and precise when you want to take ages on one shot.
Can I ask what TL settings you use mainly and what types of files you are outputting etc.

I stumbled over this problem today, too.
First, let me say that that problem did not exist with previous versions of the JWSDP. Now with 1.2 I noticed that wscompile generates class files with the same names as the custom classes that you wish to send over the net. Either this design is complete rubbish or indeed intentional, but the users are left alone, at least till the new tutorial is released.
The solution that seems to work for me is to simply replace the classes generated by wscompile with the original ones.
However I do not know if this will cause any problems or is the right way to handle the situation. Hopefully anybody of the responsible engineers at Sun will comment on this.

Customer credit limit updation problem

i created some customers, right now they don't have any credit limits, now by using fd32 Tcode i am trying to change the customer credit limit (creating new credit limit), but it is going to short-dump due to some time-out problem, can any one tell me for already existing users how to create credit limt.

You need to enable the "audit trail" for this particular field
Go to System Admin: Security:AuditTrail:Install
Enable Audit Installation for AR
Enabling the audit trail wil help you know the changes history.
As far as my knowledge is concerned, there is no approval hierarchy on customer credit limit application, all you can do is to assign the responsibility to the authorized person.

JTable custom cell editor focus problem

Hi I have created a JTable (using Java 1.4.2) and have three cell Editors, one is a JFormattedTextField, one is a JComboBox and one is a custom cell editor.
When I press tab I can select the cell with the JFormattedTextField and when I start typing the JFormattedTextField accepts my input and it is displayed in the cell. This is the type of behaviour I would like but it does not seem to work for my other 2 cell editors:
When I tab to the JComboBox cell I can see that the cell is selected but typing or using the arrow keys does not allow me to select a new value in the JComboBox. (I have also tried typing space or enter to activate the JComboBox whilst the cell is selected.) The only ways to select a new value at the moment is to first click on the cell with the mouse and then use the keyboard to select a new value. It is like the actual JComboBox is not receiving the focus? Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
