Custom value handler mapping not instantiated

Hi,
Am using a custom value handler mapping which which gets inserted from a standalone client.
But whn i try to insert using the same in a aplpication server, I get the following error:
kodo.jdo.FatalUserException: Field "keyValue" declared custom mapping strategy "KeyHandler", but this strategy cannot be instantiated.
This error is seen while parsing the package.jdo within the container.

Hi Andy,
When you search ‘category’ in crawled properties(Central Administration->Search Service Application->Search Schema), you will see ows_Category is mapped to DiscussionCategory, like the screenshot:
So, I suggest you create a new column using another name, then test again, compare the result.

    Hi All,
    i am using jdev version 11.1.1.5.0. i have created one custom error handler class in model layer which extend DcErrorHandlerImpl class.
    and do the entry in Databinding.cpx file
    *<Application ErrorHandlerClass="mypackage.classname"/>*
    i have override getDisplayMessage(BindingContext ctx, Exception ex) method to show SQL Exception which comes from database table trigger.
    code is following-
    package com.in.jagran.view.services;
        import java.sql.SQLException;
        import oracle.adf.model.BindingContext;
        import oracle.adf.model.binding.DCErrorHandlerImpl;
        import oracle.jbo.JboException;
        public class AclasErrorHandler extends DCErrorHandlerImpl {

           * Returning "null" is the way the custom error handler signals that a given exception
           * should not be reported to the client.
          @Override
          public String getDisplayMessage(BindingContext ctx, Exception ex)
            if (ex instanceof oracle.jbo.ValidationException) {

    yes i have used dubugger.
    i have set break point to following line-
    return super.getDisplayMessage(ctx, ex);
    if (ex instanceof oracle.jbo.ValidationException) {
            return super.getDisplayMessage(ctx, ex);
    }when atttribute validation done like i have attribute of type number and i have done the validation "must be greater than 0" now when i have given negative value control go to above line.
    and i have added following code also in handler class
            @Override
               public void reportException(DCBindingContainer dCBindingContainer,

    System.out.println(exception.getMessage());

    Thanks & regards,

    Hi Rashmi,
    The problem would either be in cache update or your mapping. Please provide the sceenshot of mapping (after clicking the value mapping function).
    you can also choose the option to throw error in value mapping function, so it will throw error when value not found.

  • Multiple-Value Custom Values Input Control is not showing up on iPad

    Hi,
         I try to create an input control based on a variable with multiple custom values.  It works fine in Webi but it is not showing up on iPad.
         It also works on iPad if the input control is based on single-value selection.  But when it is based on multiple (custom) values selection, it disappears from iPad
         We are in BO4.1 SP5 Patch 2, SAP BI 6.1.1.5 (475724)
         I wonder if this feature is supported by the above BO version and/or SAP BI version.
         Any help or comment is appreciated.
         Thanks.
                        James

    Thank you Ashutosh.
    Just an update.  I can say this feature is partially working.  I can see the input control on the block level, but not on the screen level.  For other kinds of input controls, I can always see them on the screen level.
    Thanks.

    SegmentID: UNB

    Data Element ID: UNB2.2
    Position in Segment: 3

     The sequence number of the suspended message is 1.
    when i checked the agreement i didnt find the ZZ in drop down list of UNB2.2 . can you please suggest how can i get ZZ in the drop down list of UNB2.2 .

  • When i add menu bar in my user interface gives me error that this handle is not a panel handle(return value -42)

    i have 3 panels in my application and parent panel is displayed first then i display other two panels which come to the front then on entering correct password i discard the child panel and then you can see parent panel , but there is an issue when i add menu to my parent panel i dont know whats wrong when i add menu bar in my user interface (parent panel)  gives me error that this handle is not a panel handle(return value -42) for a child panel. when i dont open and display child panel then its fine , and even without menu added to my parent panel all my panels and my application works perfactly

    Hello smartprogrammer,
    some more informations are needed in order to properlu help you in this situation:
    - Are you adding menus dynamically at runtime or in the UIR editor? If dynamically: how are you loading the menu bar?
    - Are you dynamically tailoring the menu bar at runtime (adding or deleting menu items, dimming / undimming some of them or checking / unchecking)?
    - Can you post the code where you are getting the error, documenting variables and scope (local to the function, global to the source file, global to the project)?
    You can look at uirview.prj example that ships with CVI for an example of LoadMenuBar (the exampl eis in <CVI samples>\userint folder): in that project, the menu bar is shown as a context menu when you right-click on a tree element (see DeferredMenuCB callback).

  • XI PO to SO mapping - Customer values

    Hi,
    I have a PO to SO transformation within one SAP system,
    where if a PO is created in one company comp1, an outbound idoc ORDERS is generated and sent to XI. In XI mapping this message is transformed to ORDERS for SO creation in comp2 and should be sent back to SAP. It is possible that there are several vendor numbers in the  comp1 and to create the idoc back in SAP, the inbound idoc should have a customer number. I am thinking of using EDPAR table in SAP to maintain the customer - vendor references.
    Right now in WE20, we have for LI and KU vendor and customer numbers maintained.
    The scenario works with a straight mapping from PO to SO.
    In XI Configuration identifiers are used for Vendor and customer config.
    What is the best way to get the customer value for vendor reference ?
    Can anyone help me please ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Usha

    Hi Usha,
    you can map the custmer values
    inside the message mapping:
    /people/alessandro.guarneri/blog/2006/03/27/sap-xi-lookup-api-the-killer
    and store those values in a Z table on your R3 system
    (very easy to maintain - view)
    and then send the idoc with changed values to the r3

  • Custom URL Handler in Java does not work for JavaFX

    Hi,
    for the purpose of playing Media Files that are decrypted on the fly and then hold in memory with the JavaFX MediaPlayer we are trying to register a custom URL Handler. The thought behind that would be that with the handler JavaFX should be able to open a stream and play back the file (a bit like jar://). In a testcase isolated from JavaFX my handler including registration at JVM is working fine, but once i plug it into JavaFX it stops to do so. I'm calling the Media(String) constructor. It fails with "Unsupported scheme". It seems like that JavaFX is not relying on the JVM URLStreamFactory but rather implementing a separate mechanism to figure out which handler it should use thus failing in my use case.
    Is this expected behavior and if so can anybody suggest a work around?
    EDIT: Actually read the Javadoc for Media. It explicitly says that it only supports File, HTTP and Jar. So it is expected behavior however I am still open for suggestions on this.
    cheers,

    I believe that the connection details are stored as part of the CR itself. Therefore if you update a connection in the CMC that might not change the parameters and credentials, especially when using sub-reports.

  • Custom Protocol Handler  in WL6.0

    Hi
    I wrote my own url protcol handler for retrieving data with custom URLs.
    It works fine in a client application, but when my custom URLs are invoked
    in EJB code running inside WL6, the URL is not recognized : I get a
    MalformedURLException.
    Note that I added a debug statement that checks the value of the system
    property java.protocol.handler.pkgs
    and my package is correctly listed there after many weblogic packages.
    has anyone ever been able to use a custom protocol handler inside WL6 ?

    Hi,
    First, I want to know what kind of Windows do you use? If it is a Windows server system, there might be a security setting that prevents this, you can try to turn it off in this way:
     Open the Server Manager, then select IE ESC,
     Turn off the Internet Explorer Enhanced security configuration both for administrator and        users in the way as the screenshot below:
    If you are using a Windows client system, try to add the local address to the local intranet security setting in this way:
    Open Internet Explorer, then select Internet option, click “security” item.
    Select Local Intranet then click “sites”, then click “advanced”.
    Add the local sites as the screenshot below:

    I have sort of answered my own question. I found, under the heading:

    externalizer and factory extensions. However, what if I want to externalize

    Dave,
    You've got a couple options for storing custom SCOs (second-class
    objects). The stringification route is useful when you can encode the
    custom field type as a string -- java.net.URL, for example.
    For storing data in non-String fields, you'll want to create a custom
    field mapping. See the timestampField sample in the samples/ directory.

  • IndirectList: not instantiated

    Just getting started with Toplink so I might have missed something obvious...
    Get this error message "IndirectList: not instantiated". Have a Class A which holds a Vector of B:s in it.
    This is the equvalient the two tables having a mapping table which maps A to any amount of B.
    In toplink they have a M2M mapping type, with Transparant Indirection turned on.
    The message appear when I do this
    A a = (A) unitOfWork.readObject(A.class, new ExpressionBuilder().get("id").equal("1000"));
    out.println(a.getBs());
    Have I missed any type in instansiation or similar?
    Thanks.

    I would just like to re-iterate that the output you are seeing "IndirectList: not instantiated" is NOT an error message. The print instruction you have called results in the toString being invoked on the indirect collection. We have specifically coded the Indirect collection types to not instantiate their collections when a toString is invoked. This could lead to an unexpected performance issue.
    If you want the printing of your objects to instantiate the indirect collection then I would recommend writing a toString method on your class that forces this to happen. With an indirect collection you need to access the collection values themselves to force it to be read in. The easiest way of doing this would be to call size() on the indirect collection.

  • Problems with Custom Exception Handler

    Hi,
    I have defined a custom exception handler for my workflow (WebLogic Platform
    7).
    I have a workflow variable called 'count' , which gets incremented for every
    time an exception occurs.
    The exception handler checks if the count is less than 3(using evaluate
    condition),
    if yes then it executes the action "Exit Execption Handler and retry"
    else
    it executes the action "Exit Execption Handler and continue"
    The Workflow simply hangs, nothing on the console , the worklist from which
    i call it hangs too.
    Has anyone managed to use this kind of exception handling?
    Thanks in advance,

    Is the 'misscfm.cfm' file somewhere in the
    'd:\wSites\GBMain\html\CFMS\'
    directory. I will presume this is the 'web root' as defined
    in your web
    server (IIS or Apache or built-in or ???). The missing
    template handler
    file needs to be in the ColdFusion root. This is going to be
    a
    directory such as
    '{drive}:\JRun4\servers\{server}\cfusion-ear\cfusion-war\misscfm.cfm'
    for J2EE flavors OR '{drive}:\CFusionMX\wwwroot' for Standard
    I think.
    It has been a very long time since I have dealt with
    Standard.
    This is probably completely different from the above web
    root. That is
    the point I am trying to get across. ColdFusion has TWO roots
    where it
    will look for a CFML file. But the Missing and Sitewide
    templates can
    only be in the ColdFusion root listed above, they will not
    work in the
    web root.

  • Null value handling in LOVs

    Has null value handling improved any in HTMLDB 1.6?
    If my LOV has "Display null"=Yes (default null value is %null%) and I need to pass in a database NULL to a After Submit process, I need to do add a After Submit computation for each of these LOVs with something like
    CASE WHEN :P1_ITEM='%null%' THEN NULL ELSE :P1_ITEM END
    I have a couple dozen LOVs on a page and it is getting tiring to go and do this on each and every one!
    Is there a better way?
    Thanks

    Hi Patrick,
    we are currently moving over to Apex 4.02 and are doing some smoke tests on our existing apps.
    I have come across an issue with your generic solution to the %null% issue above (incidently, for a long time it's the first piece of code I include when I start a new app... thank you!)
    We found that a lot of our SQL Query (PL/SQL function body returning SQL query) reports were failing due to the session state of the LOVs still having a session state of %null% even after the RemoveNulls application process had run.
    After debugging your generic process we found that the LOV_NULL_VALUE in the APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_ITEMS view has changed from NULL to '%null%'.
    so the fix was as below:-
    BEGIN
        FOR rItem IN
          ( SELECT ITEM_NAME
              FROM APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_ITEMS
             WHERE APPLICATION_ID   = TO_NUMBER(:APP_ID)
               AND PAGE_ID          IN (TO_NUMBER(:APP_PAGE_ID), 0)
               AND LOV_DISPLAY_NULL = 'Yes'
               AND LOV_DEFINITION   IS NOT NULL
    -- change here
               AND LOV_NULL_VALUE  = '%null' || '%'
        LOOP
            IF V(rItem.ITEM_NAME) = '%null' || '%'
            THEN
                Apex_Util.set_session_state(rItem.ITEM_NAME, NULL);
            END IF;
        END LOOP;
    END;Cheers,
    Gus.. (always a fan of your work!)

    I have tested static client calling using handler simple above service and found the issues.
    QName portName = new QName(namespace,
    "*RemoteServicePortType*");
    The above line code has created the issues,becuase in wsdl file ( given similar wsdl file).
    <?xml version="1.0"; encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <definitions name="HelloService"
    targetNamespace="http://www.ecerami.com/wsdl/HelloService.wsdl"
    xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
    xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/"
    xmlns:tns="http://www.ecerami.com/wsdl/HelloService.wsdl"
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <message name="SayHelloRequest">
    <part name="firstName" type="xsd:string"/>
    </message>
    <message name="SayHelloResponse">
    <part name="greeting" type="xsd:string"/>
    </message>
    *<portType name="RemoteServicePortType">*
    <operation name="sayHello">
    <input message="tns:SayHelloRequest"/>
    <output message="tns:SayHelloResponse"/>
    </operation>
    </portType>
    <binding name="Hello_Binding" type="tns:*RemoteServicePortType*">
    <soap:binding style="rpc"
    transport="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http"/>
    <operation name="sayHello">
    <soap:operation soapAction="sayHello"/>
    <input>
    <soap:body
    encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"
    namespace="urn:examples:helloservice"
    use="encoded"/>
    </input>
    <output>
    <soap:body
    encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"
    namespace="urn:examples:helloservice"
    use="encoded"/>
    </output>
    </operation>
    </binding>
    <service name="Hello_Service">
    <port binding="tns:Hello_Binding" name="*RemoteServicePortType1*">
    <soap:address
    location="http://host1:8080/soap/servlet/rpcrouter"/>
    </port>
    <port binding="tns:Hello_Binding" name="*RemoteServicePortType2*">
    <soap:address

    </port>
    <port binding="tns:Hello_Binding" name="*RemoteServicePortType3*">
    <soap:address
    location="http://host3:8080/soap/servlet/rpcrouter"/>
    </port>
    <port binding="tns:Hello_Binding" name="*RemoteServicePortType4*">
    <soap:address
    location="http://host4:8080/soap/servlet/rpcrouter"/>
    </port>
    </service>
    </definitions>
    From the above WSDL, I have four port name (port binding="tns:Hello_Binding" name="*RemoteServicePortType1*) which is not matching with PortType (portType name="*RemoteServicePortType*")
    even i have iterated from getPorts() method and used to invoke the service.But handler was not calling when i invoke.
    Please guide me here how i specify correct portname which can call Handler class also.
    Thanks in advance,
