Custom XML message

I have a custom XML message I am developing for the 11.5.10 E-Business Suite. It seems to work fine on the XML to XML conversion, but when I try to hand it off to the OTA, it doesn't recognize the XML message. Do I need to load a DTD for my XML message to be handled by OTA?
Thanks,
John Nicholas

  • Oracle BI EE 11g – Styles, Skins & Custom XML Messages

    Hi  Friends,
    I want to have  a separate folder  for my skins and styles as Shown in the following post
    Rittman Mead Consulting » Blog Archive » Oracle BI EE 11g – Styles, Skins & Cus…
    How to do this using OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1 because it is using  s_blafp & sk_blafp along with s_FusionFX and sk_FusionFX
    As said in the blog when I create
    c:/obiee11g
    Do  I need to copy all the four folders
    S_blafp ,
    sk_blafp,
    s_FusionFX,
    sk_FusionFX
    I want to change the Oracle log on the login screen and put my company logo and also I have some write back templates I want to save in separate folder as said in blog like c:/obiee11g .. so that they won't get effected when upgrading .....
    Please throw some light on how to proceed..
    Thanks
    OBIL

    Hello OBIL,
    This we can achieve in 7 steps:-
    1. Copy styles and Skins from C:\Middleware_Home\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\app\res (sk_blafp and s_blafp) to C:\OBIEE_SS
    2. Rename these folders to sk_deepak and s_deepak respectively.
    3. Copy WEB_INF from C:\Middleware_Home\instances\instance1\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\analyticsRes to C:\OBIEE_SS
    4. Make modifications in Skins and Styles. As an example I am replacing oracle_logo.png file with my logo in C:\OBIEE_SS\sk_deepak\b_mozilla_4 and C:\OBIEE_SS\sk_deepak\login folders.
    5. Modify instanceconfig.xml (location) file: Insert the following inside ServerInstance tags.
    <URL>
    <CustomerResourcePhysicalPath>D:\OBIEE11g</CustomerResourcePhysicalPath> <CustomerResourceVirtualPath>/OBIEE11g</CustomerResourceVirtualPath>
    </URL>
    <UI>
    <DefaultStyle>deepak</DefaultStyle>
    <DefaultSkin>deepak</DefaultSkin>
    </UI>
    6. Deploy OBIEE_SS as an application directory from Weblogic Admin Console.
      a. Click on Lock and Edit (From Change Center)
      b. From Domain Structure select deployments under bifoundation_domain
      c. Click Install
      d. Select OBIEE_SS folder from path C:\OBIEE_SS and click Next
      e. Select Install this deployment as an application and click Next
      f. Give your deployment a name or keep everything default at this page. Make sure to select I will make the   deployment accessible through the following location and click Finish
      g. Select Take me to deployment configuration page and click Finish
      h. Make sure under target tab you have the Admin Server or BI Server selected and click Save
      i. Click Activate Chnages (From Change Center)
    7. Restart BI Services.
    Do let me know if you need any help in doing this.
    Mark if helps,
    Thanks,

  • How to Post XML Messages with SOAP Headers to a Trading Partner URL

    Hi All,
    Greeting to the Oracle B2B Community. We are currently working on how to post a Custom XML Message with SOAP Headers to a Trading Partner URL. I would really appreciate if anybody could provide me some inputs or links to some documentation on how to achieve the above requirement. The details are below:
    1. Our Internal Application generates a Flat File (PO Extract).
    2. The Extract then needs to be transformed to an XML Message. We are planning to use BPEL to do the transformation to XML Message.
    3. Once it is transformed to an XML message it needs to be posted to the Trading Partner URL as an HTTP Post and with SOAP Headers.
    We are planning to use B2B to do the posting but I am not sure on how to do the set-ups and what all parameter files in B2B needs to be updated in order to achieve the same. Also it is mandatory that we send SOAP Headers in the XML Message.
    Thanks In Advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Dibya

    Hello Dibya,
    As you are already doing the transformation from Flat file to XML in BPEL which is typically the capability of B2B, please use the Soap binding in BPEL to send the document to Trading partner.

  • Seeking examples of custom XML Gateway message map

    I've been asked to create some custom XML Gateway message maps for inbound/outbound XML data feeds.
    I've followed along at [this tutorial|http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10537/T430238T430339.htm#T430357], but it stops short of telling me how to define a custom message map.
    Does anyone know of a resource I could look at - a web site, book, etc., that would cover the creation of a custom message map?

  • ICI - How to display custom error messages in SAP CRM

    Hello,
    we are working on a custom Contact Center which interfaces with SAP CRM Version 7 with Enhancement Package over ICI.
    The basic call functions like accepting, hanging up, holding and retrieving are fully implemented and are working already.
    Our goal is to display error messages in the CRM so that clients know there is something wrong, for example why he can't be log in successfully (e.g. the telephony server isn't reachable).
    We already found the ICI Documentation file which provides us the CRM SOAP error codes and tried to send SOAP Fault messages, but never got
    them to screen.
    Please find an attached example screenshot what we mean exactly, reproduced by trying to make a call with CRM user while BCM CDT isn't
    running in the background.
    Regarding to this topic we've the following questions:
    - Is it possible to display custom error messages on the CRM or is this functionality limited to SAP?
    - Could you provide us some further information on how to use this feature exactly (implementation details?) and how the SOAP XML should look like to get it work?
    Thank you in advance!
    Best regards

    I need to create an entity adapter and attach an error handler with the adapter? or can i handle that in the event handler itself. I coulnt find any api for handling errorsYou can do it both ways but since we are talking about event handler now, then in 9.x you need to extend com.thortech.xl.client.events.tcBaseEvent class for creating a event handler. In tcBaseEvent class there are various flavors of handleError method. So use that as per my note earlier and you should be good.

  • How to show custom error message in WebADI Excel template?

    Hi,
    I've  created a custom Web ADI integrator and associated it with a 'Procedure' based custom interface.
    WebADI Interface API Returns is set to  "Error Message".
    I'm using  raise_application_error(-20001, "Actual Error Message") for invalid rows,but custom error message from PL/SQL  is not populated on the excel template.
    Instead it is showing "SQL exception occurred during PL/SQL upload".
    Am I missing anything? How to show custom error message from Pl/SQL procedure to WebADI Excel template?
    TIA
    Narasimha

    The custom API errors are visible in the BNE log but not on the Excel.

  • Custom Error message in portal

    HI Experts,
    I trying to implement cutom error messages in portal. By Following the below link.
    [https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/community/docupedia/nw70java/blog/2010/03/21/custom-error-messages-in-the-portal]
    As of now I trying to implement it for error code "500".
    <error-page>
                 <error-code>500</error-code>
                 <location>/Customerrors/500.html</location>
           </error-page>
    </web-app>
    The above code I pasted in web.xml. 500.html is there in customerrors folder. I have also restrated the system.
    when I log in to portal system still I could see standard message coming for "500" code error not the custom one from 500.html.
    Iam using EP7.0 EHP1 .
    Thanks
    Surender Singh Dahiya

    Surender,
    I guess it should work in the similar fashion.However, I do not have access to a portal system now. Will try testing the scenario soon and keep you posted.

  • Custom XML Publisher Reports in EBS 11.5.10.2 Fails Randomly

    Hi Experts,
    I have a Custom XML PUblisher Report Concurrent Program in EBS 11.5.10.2.
    The Report fails randomly with a Warning. I get the following error,
    [11/21/08 12:17:21 PM] [UNEXPECTED] [915997:RT3085490] java.io.FileNotFoundException: /u01/PROD/prodcomn/admin/out/PROD_irl-dub-finmdt-01/o3085490.out (No such file or directory)

    As you can the OPP fails to find the o3085490.out file in the $APPLCSF/$APPLOUT directory and actually the file is not there in the unix box on that location.
    If the same report is submitted again it Works fine, But not at all times.. some of them fails with the above error message.
    Any pointers to solve this one.
    Regards

    Hi,
    We are on Multi-node set up with two middle-tiers with a load balancing option Yes.
    The XML Publisher Version is 5.6.0. Is it required to move to 5.6.3 ?
    Please find a detailed explaination of the issue.
    Issue
    XML Publisher Reports Fails Randomly in Production
    Detailed Explaination
    XML Publisher Reports submitted in Production completes with Warning. You can say 1 out of 4 requests submitted in a sequence will fail.
    The Log message of the COncurent Program is something like this,
    ------------- 1) PUBLISH -------------
    Beginning post-processing of request 3091786 on node IRL-DUB-FINMDT-01 at 23-NOV-2008 15:36:58.
    Post-processing of request 3091786 failed at 23-NOV-2008 15:36:58 with the error message:
    One or more post-processing actions failed. Consult the OPP service log for details.
    Checking the Output Post Processor Log gives the following message
    [11/23/08 6:25:01 PM] [UNEXPECTED] [925353:RT3092523] java.io.FileNotFoundException: /u01/PROD/prodcomn/admin/out/PROD_irl-dub-finmdt-01/o3092523.out (No such file or directory)
         at java.io.FileInputStream.open(Native Method)

         at oracle.apps.fnd.cp.opp.OPPRequestThread.run(OPPRequestThread.java:153)
    Its evident from the message the output file for the request is not generated.
    Some Findings to pass on to Version 1
    1. Report in not picked up for execution in this case as even the first statement is not executed and there is no oracle session and os process asscociated with it.
    I enabled trace and the trace was generated only for the successful ones and it was never generated for the ones completed with warning.
    2. The below query gives no values for the failed concurrent request, where as all successful ones have valid values.
    SELECT oracle_process_id,oracle_session_id,os_process_id
    FROM fnd_concurrent_requests
    WHERE request_id = 3091786

  • View is not retuning data when creating XML message through workflow

    Hi All,
    This is a very critical problem for me. I am trying to send an XML message (outbound) through XML gateway. This is done from a custom workflow. The message creation is done from the standard procedure ecx_document.sendDirect. The data for the XML file is taken from two views (whcih are created in a custom schema and have synonym in apps). One view for header and another one for line information (I am creating an XML for a purchase order).
    The problem is when the workflow try the first time to create a message, the views are not returning data. So message creation fails. Now, if we restart the workflow after some time, it will work and the message is created. What could be the reason for this sort of a behaviour ?
    I am using business events to trigger the workflow. The data in the table/view will be updated by standard POAPPRV workflow activities. The custom workflow is subscribed to a business event raised from POAPPRV workflow, at a certain point. So this will execute when this event is raised from POAPPRV wf. The subscription has a phase value of 99.
    Any help on this regard will be much appreciated, as this is a critical issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Arun
    PS : One more thing : this is happening mostly in the production instance where the number of messages is very high (freqency).

    Hello,
    With the BAPI_EQUI_CREATE you can only create PM equipments not IS-U devices that why there is no IS Tab .
    You have to use the dialog transactions IQ01, IQ04 or the MM transaction, where you can create devices through a movement.
    There is objecttype DEVICE (SWO1) with the following methods:
    -> Device.CreateFromData (Create Equipment Master Record)
    -> Device.Create (Create Equipment Master Record)
    -> Device.CreateISU (Create IS-U: Modification for IS-U)
    Please check whether you can use method Device.CreateISU for your requirement.

  • Crystal Report 2008 SP2 & InfoView: Custom XML Export doesnt work

    Hi,
    I have created a Crystal Report .rpt and want to use the custom xml export function to output a custom xml file. For that, I created a custom transformation file (xsl) and imported it into the .rpt . On the client machine, if I open the .rpt with Crystal Reports 2008 SP2, and select to export it using the custom xml output, all runs fine. (under SP1, only half the file was created...)
    If I upload the .rpt file to Infoview (server-side: BO Enterprise 3.1, SP2 as well) and schedule it, I can select xml, and then my custom xml as output format, but I am getting the error message u201EUngültige Exportoptionen" (="invalid export options"), in the instance history. No output file is created. I use file system as destination. Other output formats like .pdf and .rpt work fine and files are created.
    Ideas:
    -Are there any more settings needed on the server (e.g.CMC - Crystal Server Jobs, other Processes, ...) so I can schedule the report and successfully create the custom xml format file as output?
    -Do I need to upgrade to a specific SP or FP on server-side so everything runs smooth?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Florian,
    I'm having the same problem, have you by any chance found a solution?

  • Not able to generate AS2 MDN when receiving custom XML via AS2

    Hi friends,
    I have setup the trading partner and the corresponding TP certificate import for receiving the custom XML via AS2 channel.
    I am receiving the custom xml properly to oracle b2b and able to receive the same to bpel as well. however in the oracle b2b console under reports tab i am seeing only one record for inbound document receive and i am not seeing the other record for the AS2 MDN going back to vendor. I have setup the AS2 channel under the external trading partner --> Channel using the vendor AS2 URL and selected all the security parameters while creating the Outbound AS2 channel.
    1. Not able to generate AS2 MDN when receiving custom XML via AS2.
    2. eventhough i am able to decrypt the inbound custom XML and ablr to recieve it in bpel also for processing, in the reports tab the inbound message state is changing to MSG_ERROR and it has the folloing error message:
    Error Code
    B2B-50037
    Error Description
    Machine Info: (***********)  Description: B2B inbound message processing error
    Error Level
    ERROR_LEVEL_COLLABORATION
    for AS2 MDN generation for custom XML receiving using As2 protocol, do we need to setup anything other than the outbound As2 Channel using the external vendor AS2 URL?
    Can you please help me how can i generate the AS2 MDN for the inbound custom XML document i have received and also why the inbound message is failing even though i am receiving the custom XML properly to bpel?
    Thanks,
    Amirineni.

    Hi Prasanna,
    Vendor has enabled the ACK mode as SYNC.
    Below are the headers for the inbound message to B2B. and we are able to receive the input message to bpel also.

  • Reading the XML message from Xi stored in XML format from a abap program.

    Hi Gurus,
    My requirement here is to read the data that will be coming from Xi from my custom abap program and updating 2 data base tables. The method is after the data mapping is done a class is generated in abap proxy in which a method is available. Inside the method i am writing the code for getting the Xi data stored as a payload message which can be seen in the transaction SXMB_MONI. My code is given below.
    ***begin code***
    method ZII_PAYROLL_HEADER_IN~PAYROLL_HEADER_IN.
    **** INSERT IMPLEMENTATION HERE **** ***
    data: ln type i.
    DATA: i_items TYPE TABLE OF ZPAYLOAD_WRAPPER_EMPLOYEE_REC3.
    *DATA: wa_items type ZPAYLOAD_WRAPPER_EMPLOYEE_TAB5.
    data: wa_items type ZPAYLOAD_WRAPPER_EMPLOYEE_REC3.
    DATA:PERNR TYPE STRING.
    *data: it_ZPAYLOAD_WRAPPER16  TYPE ZPAYLOAD_WRAPPER16.
    I_ITEMS[] = INPUT-PAYLOAD_WRAPPER-BODY-XMLDOC-PAYROLL_PERIOD_OVERVIEW-EMPLOYEE_RECORD[].
    *I_ITEMS = INPUT-payloadWrapper-Body-XMLDOC-PayrollPeriodOverview-EmployeeRecord.
    describe table i_items[] lines ln.
    endmethod.
    **End code***
    As per the logic the data stored in the XML message should be avaialble in INPUT-payloadWrapper-Body-XMLDOC-PayrollPeriodOverview-EmployeeRecord which i am assigning to a local internal table in the class.
    But in my case there is no data coming in
    INPUT-payloadWrapper-Body-XMLDOC-PayrollPeriodOverview-EmployeeRecord.
    But i can see the data transffered from XI in the transaction SXMB_MONI->XML message->inbound message->payload.
    Is there any way to read the data stored in the XML message in the transaction SXMB_MONI.
    Also why the data is not coming in
    INPUT-payloadWrapper-Body-XMLDOC-PayrollPeriodOverview-EmployeeRecord inside the class.
    If there is any solution for this problem please post it.

    You can use function module SXMB_GET_MESSAGE_PAYLOAD.
    Code snippet:
    DATA: ls_mast      TYPE sxmspmast,
          ls_msgkey    TYPE sxmsmkey,
          lv_bin_xml   TYPE xstring,
          lv_str_xml   TYPE string.
    * select sxmspmast into ls_mast
      ls_msgkey-msgid  = ls_mast-msgguid.
      ls_msgkey-pid    = 'RECEIVER'.
      CALL FUNCTION 'SXMB_GET_MESSAGE_PAYLOAD'
        EXPORTING
          im_msgkey      = ls_msgkey
          im_archive     = ' '
          im_version     = ls_mast-vers
        IMPORTING
          ex_msg_bytes   = lv_bin_xml
        EXCEPTIONS
          not_authorized = 1
          no_message     = 2
          internal_error = 3
          no_payload     = 4
          OTHERS         = 5.
      IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
          lv_str_xml = cl_soap_moni_helper=>convert_xstring_to_string( xstring_in = lv_bin_xml ).
      ENDIF.

  • Cross references in custom XML

    Hello!
    We have a custom XML schema and a structured application that allows us to edit our XML documents in FM. The schema contains a definition for a cross reference element and a definition for a target element.
    =============================================================
    Example:
    A cross reference element (say, documentA.xml contains this element): <cref target="documentB.xml#sect123"/>.
    A target element (say, documentB.xml contains this element): <section id="sect123"/>.
    Also I have a book in FM that includes both documentA.xml and documentB.xml.
    =============================================================
    FM outputs error messages when I try to save documentA.xml.
    So, I have few questions concerning this issue.
    How should I describe the cref element in EDD?
    A manual says, that the @target attribute must be of the IDREF type. Sounds good but the # char is restricted for IDREF values. How can I resolve this contradiction? If I write <cref target="sect123"/> (target id without filename) FM outputs error messages when I open documentA.xml in FM.
    Thank you!

    Dear Russ,
    Thank you very much for the answer. I'm sorry for my replying you with a delay,
    To make long story short, now it's OK: we can load a document with cross references to FM as well as we can save it form FM. Thank you once more.
    I'd like to make some comments that might be useful for other readers of this forum.
    As far as I understand the Structure Developers Guide mostly describes import/export transformations between an XML format and the FM format. But we never convert XML files to FM files and vice versa in our application. We open an XML file in FrameMaker, we edit the XML file in FrameMaker, and finally we save the XML file from FrameMaker. So, while reading the Guide I had a permanent doubt if import/export is the case I deal with.
    After several probes and attempts we found out that the following format of cross reference is appropriate for our application:
    <xref srcfile="fm-properties.xml#sys_psnt_part_number" format="CrossReference"/>
    (We found this type of cross references on page 399 of the Guide).
    The xref element must have an attribute of the IDREF type defined in a schema and in an EDD even while we don't use it. This attribute may actually be omitted in an XML file but we had to define it for xref.
    The root element of a target XML document must have an attribute of the ID type even while we don't use it.
