Customer Broadcasting - EMail Bursting Broadcast with hierarchy

Hi,
At the moment I broadcast with the broadcast function email bursting to our customer. (single customer)
I maintained a mail adress for each customer.
Now we have a special demand.
I should broadcast to customer groups.
Customer Group is a special hierarchy level in our customer structure.
For example one customer group have 10 single customer.
So for example the customer from hierarchy level 2 should get a report with all customers in hierarchy level 3
Is it possible to work with hierarchies in the email bursting function ?

Hi Thomas,
Im not sure by hierachy group but you could so it by role. So all customers who you assign a certain role will get a certain report.

Broadcasting Email Bursting option not working for different mprv

Hi BW experts,
I am facing an issue with Broadcaster settings wherein I am using Email Bursting option.
My setup is like following :
I am using info object ZHRLVL to store hierarchy levels within an organization.
ZHRLVL has an attribute namely email address(E1) which contains the email ids of various managers.
The info object ZHRLVL is included in 2 Multiproviders namely M1 and M2.
email address(E1) is enabled as navigational attribute and in all reports based on M1 and M2 there is a user input variable available for the same.
Both Multiproviders contain transactional records which have ZHRLVL values filled up.
Also in master data ,against ZHRLVL values(the same which are present in transactional record) , email address are maintained.
However, when executing IB settings queries on M1 and M2, Broadcasting works for M1 but however it doesnt work for M2.
Any help in this regards will be appreciated.

Thanks for noticing that.My Mistake I didnt mention about the error message.
The error message comes in form of a warning saying that the recipients could not be determined.
This happens on top of my maintaining the email ids in master data against the corresponding transactional record values.
Would apperciate if you are able to suggest something here.

Broadcast Email (Bursting) - Information Brodcasting :: How it can be used?

Hi Friends,
Can you please tell me the steps for Broadcast E-mail (Bursting)?
Whenever you select this option in the BEx Broadcaster Wizard in New Setting, we can see a Recipent Determination. Under this we can find many options such as Characteristic Determination, Filter etc.
I don't understand the functionality here. On which case and what time these settings are determined? Could you please guide me with the step by step functinality of Email bursting of Information Broadcasting?

Broadcast email - Bursting: Could not determine recipient

Hi,
I created a broadcast setting for email-bursting and checked it/saved it/scehduled it successfully.
The broadcast setting is trying to burst a runtime statistcis query by user (infoobject 0TCTUSERNM for users is contained in the query). The characteristic for receipient determination is "0TCTUSERNM" and the attribute is "person responsible" with attribute value being set to "user name"
However upon executing this setting I get the following error :
Bursting: Could not determine recipient with a yellow light against this error message and the bursting email is never sent-out.
can someone please advise the remedy for this problem

Broadcasting - EMail Bursting

Hi,
Can any one please answer below questions on email bursting.
Lets say our Vendor master data consists of 50000 vendors,If i opted to broadcast a report based on email bursting,Does it shoots email to all the 50,000 vendors or only vendors for which transaction data exists during report execution period.
We have few issue when we scheduled broadcasts manually,When we triggered multiple broadcasts at same time our pre calculation server is out of resources and broadcasts are failing.If i opt for email bursting will the system shoots email all the vendors at the same time.
When we broadcast email to vendor our requirement to broadcast output to 2 email (one vendor email and the other is internal email which will be constant at all times for records)...my understanding is with email bursting we can send email to a single email id...how can i address this issue.
Sorry for 2 many questions,But unfortunately i never worked on email bursting.

it is not possible to use more than one Email-addresses.
There is no user-exit for this stuff. The only thing i could imagine, is that you send the mail to a distribution list of your mailserver.
May you can create a distribution List on Mailserver, add the receiptients to that list, and change the email-address in the attribute to the mail-address of the distribution list.
Within SAP is no chance.

Broadcasting - email bursting multiple email adresses

Hello all,
For broadcasting emails we use the bursting option. We want to use the option of 'filter document by characteristic value' so we can specify the reports by sales organization (0SALESORG).
This works fine if we putt an e-mail address in the InfoObject, but we want to email the same report to multiple email adresses. So (for example) for salesorg 10 we want 4 email adresses to receive the broadcasting report. Is this possible?
In the SAP documentation I only see 1 e-mail address per sales org for example.
We are running SAP BW 7.0 SP 12.

BEx Broadcast email attachment problem with Lotus

In our BW system, broadcasting with email have attachment problem when we look at SOST we can see email has mhtml attachment and looks fine but end-user does not get the attachment. Email server is Lotus and we think that problem is Lotus configuration related. Anyone having same problem come to a solution, help would be appreciated.

Dear All,
We are generating bank statement pdf output based on RTF Template, and send to customer through email bursting option.
Can we validate the pdf output that the pdf having data or not?
Because some time pdf has delivered to customer without data.
Is this possible to check the output based on size or some other options?

Infomation Broadcasting with Email Bursting with hierarchy

Hi,
We have a scenario where based on the employee hierachy, we need to use email bursting. We have following emplyoee hierarchy.
Employee_Manager
-> Employee_1
-> Employee_2
The infocube contains data for expense made by each employee. So if employee_manager should be able to get expense incurred by employee_1, employee_2 and employee_manager.
The requirement is to send report to manager for expense made by his/her team.
This employee infoobject has the attribute as username where the email should be sent.
The problem is ->
when I run the email bursting with selection employee manager, it only sends data for employee_manager and not for employee_1 and employee_2.
So basically the email bursting does not consider hierarchy.
Any inputs is appreciated.

Hope you are doing well. It seems bit tricky. I would try by creating a hierarchy node variable & restricting that to emploeyee manager. It may help you to avoid skipping of em_1 & emp_2 from distributing report. Not sure if it helps.

Broadcasting Workbook using Email Bursting

Hi All,
I am trying to Broadcast Workbook Using Email Bursting option and I am getting corrupted workbook. I have seen several posts in this regard and then included a Mandatory Variable to do precalculation but even then its sending a corrupted workbook.
Now I have a new issue along with this: my precal server(t-code: RSPRECADMIN) is becoming offline(Red)/ at capacity(Yellow) whenever i try to braodcast a workbook. So i have to restart the Service on the server and also followed all the steps listed in the How to..troubleshoot information broadcasting pdf.
we are on BI 7.0 SP 17 and installed the latest version of precalserver.
Can anyone please tell me step by step procedure on how to Broadcast Workbook using Email Bursting .

I opened an SAP note and they came up saying
"Please be informed that BI 7.X PreCalculation service is not available
with GUI 710. you have to use GUI 640 for precalculating the workbooks.
Precalculation service for GUI 710 is still in testing and not delivere
d for customers yet.
Please refer to the below mentioned note:

I did not try on 640 yet...please let me know if you find the solution for this..

Information Broadcasting / Bursting based on hierarchy

Hi Gurus,
Please help me out! I am stuck with the following scenario.
I have a hierarchy based on Cost Center. Each cost center is assigned to a employee ID.
I need to distribute the reports based on cost center hierarchy. There are 4 levels in the cost center hierarchy.
The cost center master data is loaded into a cube on which a query is built.
Level 4 - should get the query for the cost center assigned to him.
Level 3 - should get the query for the cost center assigned to him as well as the cost center for those in level 4 under him.
similarly level 2 and level1.
So, each user should get the data pertaining to his cost center as well as the cost centers of the users below him in the hierachy.
I have to broadcast in such a way that the users get the reports based on the above. Now, if I choose broadcasting, I have to create a setting for each user (I am looking at 300 users, so 300 settings).
Can broadcasting via bursting solve this issue? If yes, please explain how to do achieve this.

So, each user should get the data pertaining to his cost center as well as the cost centers of the users below him in the hierachy.
If I got your Question Properly.
First, You need to Assign the Hierarchies at ROLES/AUTHORIZATION PROFILES at PFCG for the Query. You can Restrict the same too.
Then, you can Broadcast the same to different users.

BEx Broadcasting Email recipient issue

Hi Guys,
We're having an issue in broadcasting the report. The email has been sent twice to the same user.
The broadcasting is triggered via ABAP program in the process chain.
For example:
User A with a@ abc.com have received email from the broadcasting
User B with b@ abc.com didnu2019t received email, instead it have been sent to user A (a@ abc.com)
The email addresses for this solution are stored in master data object.
We have check ABAP logs and it looks correct but when we check the emails sent from SCOT it showing that the email have been sent prior to the next recipient of the report.
Any suggestion what might be the issue?

Testing of Broadcast email functionality in Peoplesoft CRM Online Marketing

I am trying to create a marketing dialog in Peoplesoft CRM.It has a date time trigger event which is in turn associated with a broadcast mail. I tried running it for a test audience by clicking "Test" button. However, the email is not getting generated and it does not show any error on the page.The status of the dialog gets changed from "Design" to "In Test" also. Is there anyway to find out the reason why the email is not getting sent?I checked in the email job report and the trigger shows a status of "Queing". Also, I read somewhere about mailcasters. Is setting it up mandatory for broadcast emails?The dialog execution server has already been setup and is running successfully.

i guess you are trying to use ERMS(email reponse management system in CRM) either support desk or help desk.
u need to configure a whole setup in order to make this functionality work.
please make clear whether this is the one you are trying to achieve.
ERMS functionality in short: it has all mail box servers in place. once the mail comes from a user to a mail box, based on content and information the email is routed back to respective mailing list. the person picks the mail and replies back to the mail box which routes back to the user requested.
it uses process schedulers,IB gateways, nodes,SMTP servers to do the job.

Email bursting program fail with java null exception

Hi All,
I am trying to use xml publisher email bursting program on 11i (11.5.10.2) but getting following error.
