Customer exit text determination

Hi,
my purpose is that the icon of the long text doesn' put in evidence(with the underlines which appear on the icon) the existence of a long text if this long text has a number of digit less/equal 40.
I use the enhancement V45T0001but I don't know how I can write the program..I think that more or less it would be a program like:
IF THEAD-TDTXTLINES LE 40.
NO_DISPLAY = 'X'.
ENDIF.
but then, after activating the include,the function module and the function exit,the system does not receive the change..

This is strange, I executed that web template so many times,even logged out and logged in, deleted cache to make sure its not a cache thing.
Now i executed the query once in RSRT2 and its working.

We have created a new object for combining Fiscal Year/Month and Period. So the format will be shown as " yyyymmp"
now we have one requirement which is determining the same period but previous year based on user input. For Example, if user input start and end period as
"2006041" and "2006111". There are should be 2 custom exit which are able to convert the user input to be "2005041" and "2005111". We created 2 custom exit for telling the previous-year period.

However, when I execute my query, the variable text is displayed as &ZT_LASTDATE& and not as expected e.g. 31.12.2010.
I tried to debug it and found out that after the program stop at
WHEN 'ZT_LASTDATE'.
it went straight to ENDFUNCTION of INCLUDE ZXRSRU01.
May I know what went wrong here?

Hi,
Uncomment the line I_STEP = 2 and then try debugging your code, put external break point on read table statement and keep on debugging. Don't put session breakpoint, for debugging you will have to use external break point.

Customer exit text variables form BW queries are not supported in Webi

HI,
so I need to need to modify the headings manually in Web Intelligence.
Please help me I'm looking for a formular that give me the following result:
I'm using the next formular:
=UserResponse([L01 Calendar/month];"CalendarMonth")
The result is JUN2010.
Now I want to change this result with a formular in Jun2009 (12 months ago)
Can anyone help me how to build this formular?

The question really is, what are you trying to achieve?
If you only want to arrive at the string "Jun2009" based on the string "JUN2010"
you can do this like this;
=InitCap(Left(UserResponse("Calender Month");3))+FormatNumber(ToNumber(Right(UserResponse("Calender Month");4)-1);"0")
Also if you have all month of last year in the report you can use a where logic based on the same principle to only show what the label says.
However if you want to select this calendar month based on the month inputted by the user, then you will have to create a BEX variable that uses the user exit coding of the input ready calender month to select that month one year ago, like stated above.

i am creating a BW workbook which contain some HR and CO queries.
in HR is used 0calmonth but in Co is used 0fiscper so i need to define a customer exit for determine the value of 0Fiscper (mmm.aaaa) by the value of 0calmonth (aaaa.mm) so the user will insert only the value of 0calmonth in bex query.
can someone help me to write this cutomer exit?

I have created a "ZYTD_PERIOD" Customer Exit Variable Interval Mandatory and ready for input check mark removed.
The reference character is '0FISCPER' .
I want to have YTD figures when the user enter single Fiscal Year Period for variable 0P_FPER.
So I have written below code in SE37 : EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 and include program : ZXRSRU01

After that I use this 'ZYTD_PERIOD' variable in the query .
Also I have used the variable 0P_FPER in another structure.
When I execute the query by entering the value of 0P_FPER as 010.2009 or any other value ,
I am getting below error message ,

System Response
1. Operation method of SAP-Exit-Variables 0P_FVAEX or 0P_CTPCA
With queries from the CO application, both SAP-Exit-Variables look for an entry for 'controlling area'. With this controlling area from the selection screen, the SAP-Exit-Variables program reads the attributes for InfoObject 0CO_AREA (controlling area).
With queries from the FI application, the SAP Exit Variable 0P_FVAEX looks for an entry for 'company code'. With this company code from the selection screen, the SAP Exit Variables program reads the attributes for InfoObject 0COMP_CODE (Company Code).
0P_FVAEX determines the fiscal year variant (attribute 0FISCVARNT) from the attributes for 0CO_AREA (CO queries) or 0COMP_CODE (FI queries). 0P_CTPCA determines the currency type of the profit center local currency (attribute 0CURTP_PCA) from the attributes for 0CO_AREA.
2. Cause of Error
The attributes for the controlling area (InfoObject 0CO_AREA) or company code (InfoObject 0COMP_CODE) were not loaded into the BW system, or the attributes for the controlling area are not active in the BW system.
Check whether this is the cause of the error in your BW system. Display the contents of table /bi0/mco_area or /bi0/mcomp_code using transaction se16.
Application CO:
Check whether the attributes 'fiscal year variant' (field FISCVARNT) and 'profit center local currency currency type' (field CURTP_PCA) are filled in the 'A' version (field OBJVERS) for the selected controlling area. If the fiscal year variant in the OBJVERS = 'A' is empty, then the error is with variable 0P_FVAEX. If the currency type of the profit center's local currency in OBJVERS = 'A' is empty, then the error is with variable 0P_CTPCA.
Application FI:
Check whether or not the attribute 'fiscal year variant' (field FISCVARNT) is filled in the 'A' version (field OBJVERS) for the selected controlling area. If the fiscal year variant is empty in OBJVERS= 'A', then the error is with variable 0P_FVAEX.
Procedure
Using InfoSource 0CO_AREA, load the attributes for the controlling area or company code into your BW system.
Afterwards, activate the attribute changes in your BW system. To do this, use transaction rsa1, path 'Tools > Hierarchy/Attribute changes', functions button 'InfoObject list'. Choose InfoObject 0CO_AREA or 0COMP_CODE from this list, and activate the attribute changes.

Text Variable(Customer Exit) displays variable name instead of its value.

Hi Gurus,
My requirement is to display the year(from variable) as the field name i.e Year end salary 2009.
I was using the fields name as hardcoded values like 2009 but as per my requirement i need to display it from the variable.
I tried using Text Variable using customer exit, but I'm getting variable name(zvariable) instead of value(2009).

Actually I tried to create a Text Variable with Replacement Path.
But here the problem is that we have a Characteristic Variable (Customer Exit) which is not listing in the selection box of Replacement Path.
Hence we tried to create another Text Variable (Customer Exit) and refering to the same Customer Exit code.

to me it looks like your local variable num_mese is not defined with the correct data type.
Try to change
if num_mese = 09 to if num_mese = <b>'</b>09<b>'</b>,
same for 10 -> '10', 11 -> '11'.
If that does not help please let me know your coding where you define the type of num_mese (DATA statement).

Text Variable through Customer Exit using FM MONTH_NAMES_GET

I have a query which runs through a variable Key date(ZPDATE). (Key date may also be changed by the user).
I have another customer exit variable(ZVNDATE1) where it reads from the Keydate variable and it represents one month less than the key date and it holds two dates first day of month and last day of month.
Let say: Key date(ZPDATE) = 12.03.2008
             ZVNDATE1 = 01.02.2008 and 28.02.2008
I have created RKF Overdues-1 ristricted with ZVNDATE1.
My requirement is I wan to represent this RKF Overdues-1 as Feb 2008 . In order to do that I want to create a Text variable(ZTEXT1) using customer exit .
As I am not very good in ABAP please can anybody provide me the code for text variable:

Customer Exit to derive formula variable to text variable (BW 3.5)

I have created a formula variable in a BEX report (BW 3.5) that is fill by the user during runtime. This formula variable is used in conditions and other key figures in the query.
What I need now is to use the value given by the user in this formula variable and expose it in a text variable.
The variable properties are as follows:
VARIABLE 1: 'MONTOANA'
Type of variable: formula
Processing by: user entry
Variable entry is: mandatory
Ready for input? YES
Dimension ID: Price (currency: Argentine pesos / Unit: per mil)
VARIABLE 2: 'TXMONANA'

Variable entry is: mandatory

We found the solution with members of our ABAP team. In the end the issue was due to the type of the field. The field loc_var_range-low is CHAR 60 so I had to extract the first characters on the right to get the value I wanted to deliver into the text variable.

Text Variable replace with Customer Exit Variable

Dear Experts,
I created a text variable based on replacementh path (instead of customer exit). The reference characteristic is same that as my customer exit Variable and replace it by Key.
I want to replace it with already Existing Customer Exit Variable but it is not displaying in the List Box even though existing variable option is mandatory.
Can any one Suggest me the answer for this.

I do not think you can select Customer Exit variable, if you see the type is selected to Char Value Variables and it is not editable.
It would be suggested to go for Customer Exit procesing type for your text variable.

Error while executing customer Exit Variable (No value could be determined for variable. BRAIN 632)

I created a customer exit variable which has to show the range between the first and last day of the previous month. The query will be executed every first of the month.
Variable is declared as: Customer exit, based on 0CALDAY, Interval, Mandatory and NOT input.
When i debug the query, it is making the calculation but its not populating my variable; when I execute the query from RSRT, the output test shows a message:

Text Variable With Customer Exit ABAP Code

Hi Experts,
Could you please help me with the Logic/Code that i need to use in Calculacting The TEXT Variable Using CUSTOMER EXIT
I had a rolling report in which there are 14 Calculacted Keyfigures (Not Restricted KF),Which are
M-1,M-2,M-3,M-4,M-5........M-14
My requirment is to get the MMM.YYYY based on Sy Date as a title of the column
In MAY2009
M-1 represents (Current Month -1) APR2009
M-2 represents (Current Month -2) MAR2009
M-3 represents (Current Month -3) FEB2009
M-4 represents (Current Month -4) JAN2009
M-5 represents (Current Month -5) DEC2008
M-6 represents (Current Month -6) NOV2008
M-7 represents (Current Month -7) OCT2008
M-13 represents (Current Month -13) APR2008
M-14 represents (Current Month -14) MAR2008
In JUNE2009
M-1 represents (Current Month -1) MAY2009
M-2 represents (Current Month -2) APR2009
M-3 represents (Current Month -3) MAR2009
M-4 represents (Current Month -4) FEB2009
M-5 represents (Current Month -5) JAN2009
M-6 represents (Current Month -6) DEC2008
M-7 represents (Current Month -7) NOV2008

Currently the Description of CKF is named as M-1,M-2..M-14.My requirment is to develop Text Variables that displays the description as MMMYYYY

Amrit I think u72720 wanted to know how to get MMYYYY in the column headings.
this can be achieved using text variable easily.
steps
1. Right click and go to properties and click the button next to description box.
2. Add any existing text var from the list
3. now right click on this var in the desription box and select 'new variable'
4. give var name description
   processing type ->replacement path
   replace with char-> fiscal period (or calmonth if that is what restricted in your column)
   select value as 'Key'
finish creation and use this var in all the selection column headings (remove M-1, M-2 etc)
you will get mmyyyy decriptions for every column depending on month of that column

Text Variable using Customer Exit .

Hello Friends. I have a requirement to create Text Variable using Customer Exit . So I created the Text Variable as "ZVRBMS" and assigned that with YTD &ZVRBMS& in the Structure of Query Desigener . so that Out put will YTD AUTO
OR YTD RETAIL
Now this Auto And Retail comes from Version that user choose via variable ZFIBMSVER IN User Promt. if ZFIBMSVER = 10
then ZVRBMS = auto . and if ZFIBMSVER = 20
then ZVRBMS = RETAIL
Please correct my ABAP code in customer exit and let me know to make this work
when 'ZVRBMS'.
