Customize, collpase and remove links in item regions
Can you collapse/expand, remove, or customze and item region.
It appears pretty straight forward for portlets but I do not see this feature for item regions?

As a work around, for the regions you want to collapse ... you can create a new page with the 1 region on it. Expose this new page as a page portlet, then place the page portlet (which is really just the one region) on the page as a portlet and you can expand/collapse, etc.
If you need to enable content contributors for this region, click the edit pencil for the page portlet and enable the Edit Link for the page portlet.

Edit link in item region portlet is displayed with unwanted banner
I have several item repositories in the form of pages published as portlets. When adding these portlets I often check the option to display the edit link. When the link is displayed on the page it always shows up with a banner in a completely different color than what is set in the page style. How do I get rid of this, or where can i find the default setting for this so I can hard code it to white or something?
You cannot change the style of the edit banner in the page portlet.

Creating a report for linked work items...
We are using TFS 2012 and need to create a report (either excel or SSRS) that shows all the user stories under the current sprint and any linked child items across two projects. I can do this easily per project in VS and open it in excel but excel won't
let me copy/paste two projects work items in one spreadsheet. I tried searching and found a few suggestions but they don't seem to work.

You can create your custom work item query to return all the parent work items, then save this query as a .wiq file in local path, then open this .wiq file and you will find the wiql string in it.

How to customize Category and Category items list while creating New Model
Hi,
what the most convenient way to customize the Category and Category items list while creating New Model?
This is standard:
Now, what we want to achieve, is to customize this menu, to:
1. Display in the Category window only f.e. two categories:
- EA Diagrams
- BPM Diagrams
2. In the EA Diagrams, we want to have f.e. four copies of City Planning diagram, each of them should have different elements available, f.e. in the first copy, only Architecture Areas shall be made available, in the second one Architecture Areas and Business Functions, in the third on f.e. only Business Functions shall be made available. Additionally, it should behave like a hierarchy ... meaning you can create the second diagram, only as child (related diagram) of the first diagram etc.
I know, excluding the particular diagrams/diagram elements can be configured using the right/profile settings, but how to:
1. Customize the standard New Model menu window
2. Create copies of City Planning Diagrams with different set-ups
3. Set the relationship between diagrams
Is such a configuration change possible?

Click on Tools => General Options=> Model Creation
Click on Properties => at right of Default category set
Note : Model template does not work as Category. We can't set. An enchancement request has been open to SAP
In the following example I defined a new default (MyNewDefault.mcc). As you can see only BPMN models are available.
To create a new category set with BPMN choice
a) Copy default.mcc in MyNewDefault.mcc file.
Go to Tools=>General Options=>Model Creation : Select your new category
Go to Tools=>General Options=>Model Creation : Edit properties and remove all things you does not want keep
or
b) Go to Tools=>General options=>Model Creation : Edit properties and click on Save as button and specify the file name "MyNewDefault".
Quit the window.
Select you new category : Go to Tools=>General Options=>Model Creation : "MyNewDefault"
Edit properties and remove all things you does not want keep.

Specify yours conditons in your extension attached to your model
Example : When the user want create a child diagram : You can display a list of Parent Diagrams to select from.

If I understand well your question. I suggest to take a look in
Repository=>Administration=>Objects Permission Profile
You can specify objects to show, mask, deactivate at model level.
You can specifiy your own metadata.
But I'm not sure you can mask, deactivate functions following diagram selection. It seem to specific.

Customize display of category group names in item regions (902)
Multi-level categorization is inconsistent within different portal contexts. Flat category structures work fine but sub-categories do not.
For example let's define a set of categories: foo, foo/bar, test, test/foo, abc, abc/bar
where bar is a sub-category of foo and so forth.
The additem wizard shows the category in the form: category/sub-category/sub-sub-category/etc which is the preferred approach.
However, an item region having Group By Category and "Display Group By Banner" checked is not the same. Here the group-by-text only shows the end-category name (not the full category/sub-category); i.e., only shows the last group "category" without the context of the full category.
Want to show items in following style:
foo
item1
foo/bar
item2
test/foo
item3
abc/bar
item4
As opposed to:
foo
item1
bar
item2
foo
item3
bar
item4
Likewise, in the Advanced search the list of categories to search for are:
foo
.bar
test
.foo
abc
.bar
What are some best practices to customize the display of custom items with sub-categories showing the full category/sub-category in 9iAS 9.0.2?
Explicitly creating a flat category structure with '/' in the names doesn't seem the best use of item categories.

The only way to show the path of your nested categories in the display banner is to name the subcatgory with the path information (i.e. 'test/foo' not 'foo'). The problem with showing the full path is scalability - rendering a deeply nested tree in the display banner or as an attribute would cause real problems. It was a design decision to go with the way that it is. If you feel strongly that Development should reconsider this decision, please feel free to log an enhancement request at:

Drag and Drop Layout with items attached to Page 0 Region Bug
Hi,
I have a region on P0 (P0_REGION) and multiple page items (not on page 0) are associated to the region. When I go to "Drag and Drop" the page items I see all the Page Items for the given page and all the Page Items that are linked to a P0 Region. For Example:
P0:
Region: P0_REGION
P100:
Items: P100_X, Region: P0_REGION
P200:
Items: P200_Y, Region: P0_REGION
Now on P200, click on "Drag and Drop" above P200_Y I'll see P100_X and P200_Y.
This is a bit of an issue if you have a lot of items that are linked to a region on Page 0 but actually belong to another page.
Is this a bug?

Unless you are using Spry menus as a learning experience, you should move forward to a menus system that will display properly on the millions of portable devices that won't work with Spry which was deprecated 2 years ago.
Many are using JQuery menus or pure HTML/CSS menus.
If you wish to continue your Spry for learning experience, we'll be glad to assist; please let us know.
By the way, your submenus are not showing because you need to add the red value to this rule in your vertical CSS

How to remove connect and workbook link after pressing Save as,Print,Export
I have to remove the connect link and workbook link which appear AFTER pressing Save as,Printable Page,Export in a discoverer viewer report. I had already removed the link in the report itself with changing the uix files, but after pushing the link for export, save as or print the link Connect and Workbook still appear.
I know that I have to change something in UIX Files, but which one and what I have to change...? Have anyone an idea? Thanx for fast reply, it´s a urgent problem.
in addition: In metalink,otn and google were no solution...If the tone really is a single (or at least narrow band) frequency like the picture shows, I'd try the Notch Filter on the Audition/Effects/Filter and EQ menu. It might take some playing around to get the exact frequency and tweak the amount of cut you apply vs. the effect it will have on surrounding frequencies--but if you can get the right balance, you can then easily apply this to the whole of every file.
Sorry, can't help on the Premiere Pro question since I only use Audition. -
Link between Item and delivery
Hi ,
I want to know the link between item and deliveyr. Like for example, an sales order item ( no. 10) containing 10 quantities can be delviered 5 times( each containing 2 quantities) and line item ( no. 20) can contain one single delivery. I am working on a report where i have to link all the line item to its delivery number. I am trying to achieve this through GENIl but i am not able to indetify as to how to differentiate the different deliveyr numbers. In other words, can some one help me as to how to link the delivery number to its corresponding items?Document flow is stored in the table VBFA in ECC.
VBELV fied is the sales order number and in POSNV specify the line item number and speicfy VBTYP_N = J (Delivery).

Just uploaded iso7 , . . .hate it! Can you change background colours? How do you add a new item/activity to the schedule? In notes the font has changed, can I change it back and the link colour is now yellow instead of blue, can I change it? Yellow on white is harder to read. Thanks

When I create a DDE server with serveral topics, all on the same service and with the same item name (different topic), it appears that an advise link does not function properly. It doesn't work at all, it update only when the advise link is terminated or only one of the topics can use an advise link.
eg.
On one DDE server I have 2 topics:
topic1:
servicename: DDEserver
topicname : C(1)
itemnames : P(1), P(2), P(3)
topic2:
servicename: DDEserver
topicname : C(2)
itemnames : P(1), P(2), P(3)
Only the topicnames differ!
Now I can't get an advise link working on one of the items (sometimes on one, but not
on another).
Normal (non-advise) links are working fine however.
(In my case there is no other solution since this DDEserver should be compatible with an older one, created earlier.)I really don't know DDE very well. It is usually recommended that you switch to using ActiveX. You may not be correctly configuring the netDDE server. There is an example in the reource library that shows how to do this. You may also want to look at the DDE advise examples that came with LabVIEW 5.1 and earlier.

Is there a way to dynamically create and remove TEXT items in form. For example I have the EMP and DEPT table and when
I select the EMP table name from the LOV, rows of the EMP table with column name and data should get displayed on the screen and likewise a similar action for DEPT table and
so on. I have about 90 tables from where data could be required to view and edit. They all have varying number of columns.

I now have iTunes ver 11.0.4.4 under Windows 7. I lost all iTunes stuff when updating to Windows 7. I have loaded thousands amd thousands of music files from backup disks, but there are many duplicates. I am attemping to re-establish my old library. I used to be able to remove duplicates quickly with the old iTunes. The new iTunes doesn't seem to offer the same service. Is there any way to remove duplicates quickly, or must I do it one by one?
When deduping use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin. Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed)
