Customize the Customize

We created a custom portlet that allows customization. Problem: the 'customize' header is generic and doesn't seem to be able to be changed. Is there a class that we can modify to change the layout - we are looking at eliminating the header altogether - we have some very big clients that do not want to see generic stuff on their pages - customize pages or otherwise....
Here is more detail -
I have a customize link for a portlet. When I click on customize link on my page, it brings the customize page for that portlet. However, I have a "customize" header that appears in that customize page (along with the Home link). How do I get rid of header HTML and the Home link and the in the Customize page?
If possible - I need to remove all the header information - including the "Home link" - that includes the image and the "Customize" header and the little database image. I also want to either display a custom header - OR eliminate the section entirely -- there is a problem - there is a set of generic buttons - "apply" and "cancel" -- these would be better displayed in the portlet customization area itself - which gets rendered by our customization portlet.
Any thoughts - anywhere I can go to modify the class or template - anything?

How to Customize the Message "No Row Returned" from a Report

I've been trying to customize the Message "No Row Returned" from a Report.
First i followed the instructions in Note:183131.1 -

But of course the OWA_UTIL.REDIRECT_URL in this solution did not work (in a portlet) and i found the metalink document 228620.1 which described how to fix it.
So i followed the "fix" in the document above and now my output is,..
"Portlet 38,70711 responded with content-type text/plain when the client was requesting content-type text/html"
So i search in Metalink for the above and come up with,...

And i've read it and read it and read it and read it and can't make heads or tails of what it's saying.
Every "solution" seems to cause another problem that i have to fix. And all i want to do is customize the Message "No Row Returned" from a Report. Please,...does anyone know how to do this?

My guess is that it only shows the number of rows it has retrieved. I believe the defailt is for it to only retrieve 50 rows and as you page through your report it retrieves more. So this would just tell you how many rows was retireved, but probably not how many rows the report would contain if you pages to the end. Oracle doesn't really have a notion of total number of rows until the whole result set has been materialized.

R12 - How to customize the seeded Purchase Order PDF report

We need to customize the layout AND the data of the seeded Purchase Order pdf report that is generated in PO Summary form when user picks drop-down menu Inquire->View Document. I know how to set up the Document Type with a customized layout but I do not know how to update the XML data that feeds the layout.

How to customize the content set in text as part of tag cq:text property="text"/

We use the tag <cq:text property="text"/> to get the content, which is set in the jcr property "text". Text was set in Richtext component and it has hyper link.
Now, we have to customize the text.
Example:-
Actual Text in 'text' property:-
Click <a data-action="Hyperlink" data-upc-tooltip-type="none" href="/content/www-abc-healthcare-ch/en/offer.html">here</a> for the link 
After customization in 'text' property:-
Click <a data-action="Hyperlink" data-upc-tooltip-type="none" href="/content/www-abc-healthcare-ch/en/offer">here</a> for the link 
i.e .html has been removed.
I tried customizing and set back to text attribute using <c:set var="text" value="<CustomizedText>" /> but even after that tag <cq:text property="text"/> retrieves the old content i.e with .html
Please suggest how to override text content, so that the tag <cq:text property="text"/> will print customized text.

Which version of cq? Is Strict Extension Check enabled at http://<host>:<port>/system/console/configMgr/com.day.cq.rewriter.linkchecker.impl.LinkCheckerTra nsformerFactory

I just updated to Firefox 4 and my Roboform toolbar disappeared. Following the instructions on your site and Roboform's site did not help. It doesn't appear in the Customize Toolbar window nor in the Extensions list. How can I get it back?

Here's an interesting bit: iTunes will let me restore my iPod touch from backup: it's still running iOS 4.3.3. I figured as much... there's backups showing in the Preferences -> Devices list for both devices (and even my old, long gone iPod touch 2G), but my iPhone (on iOS5) isn't giving me any such option. I remember I had to downgrade before to get the backup restored (something went haywire in the setup assistant, and I couldn't restore a backup from iTunes there)... If it was possible to go to iOS 5.0 rather than 5.0.1 I would just do the same thing again, but iOS 5.0.1 isn't an option. I attached a screenshot. Hopefully Apple can get this nonsense sorted out; I think iOS 5 might be the root of this, somehow.

I don't see the new "firefox button" and i can't see the bookmark button (with the drop down option) unless I'm in the customize toolbar view. How can I fix these?

I am using Firefox 4.0 on Windows XP home, Service pack 3. I am trying to use some of the new features of Firefox 4.0 that I see on the Firefox feature page (http://mzl.la/gCFDjj) and am not having much luck. First off in the Firefox Button. It is supposed to contain all your menu items but it is not appearing on my screen. Is this a feature that only works in Vista or Windows 7?
Second, I am trying to use the Bookmarks Button (the one that has the drop down menu) but it doesn't appear in my toolbar unless I right click the tool bar and choose "customize". The button shows up in this view already in the toolbar, as if it is hidden in normal use and no matter where I move it to, once I hit the "done" button in the customize window the Bookmarks Button gets hidden/covered up again.
Third, I see the new "App Tabs" feature but I can't seem to find an option for this in the preferences for Firefox, if it's even supported by my browser/OS at all.
Can anyone tell me how to use/activate these features or if I am even able to using Windows XP?

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar). 
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily. 
You only see the Bookmarks menu button if the Menu bar is hidden.

Customize the Value of Auto generated Document ID in sharepoint library in 2013

I have a document centre with Couple of Document Libraries like Finace, HR etc. I would like to set differnt document ID for each Documents in these libraries , eg, HR documents-HR-01, Fince documets-FIN-01 etc.
If I set the Docuemnt id in site settings, that generate an ID of same format for all Document Libraries.I do not want to add a new column and make it as calculate column because I wan to do search based Document ID
Is there any way to customize the exisitng Documnet ID in the Libraies for each document libries ?

When sending an image to print on our 5000s and 5100s I'd like for the printer to apply a halftone screen of 85 (frequency) and 45 (angle). However, the driver properties only has two settings - Standard and Enhanced.
I took a look at the PPD and found the following:

*ResScreenFreq 300dpi/300 dpi: "60.0"
*ResScreenAngle 300dpi/300 dpi: "45.0"

*ResScreenAngle 600dpi/600 dpi: "45.0"
*ResScreenFreq 1200dpi/1200 dpi: "180.0"
*ResScreenAngle 1200dpi/1200 dpi: "45.0"
I had hoped that simply by changing the screen frequencies to "85.0" it would do the trick (since 85 does not appear to be outside of the printers' capability). However, it resulted in no changes to the prints. I know (or at least think) the changes were "seen" by the print driver because I changed some of the text that it uses in the property boxes of the print driver and those changes appeared (e.g. I changed "Standard" to "Standard 2" for one of the halftone descriptions).
My question is... can I customize the frequency/angle used or are these values fixed regardless of changes made to the PPD?

Need to customize the variable info sent to a query string

Hello,
I have run into a small issue while trying to send user data
selected from 1 DateField and 3 ComboBoxes in a form. Everything is
sending correctly except for the DateField, when sent is places
much un-needed info in the query string.
For example, this is what I need it to look like in the query
string:

Here is what is actually showing up right now:

You'll notice that everything is fine except for the DateIn
variable. So, I guess I'm asking if anyone knows how I can
customize the data that is sent to the query string, with specific
characters (example: I don't need "%20" in the DateIn, however I
need those to be "%2F"), as well as the name of the month to be
just the month number. I need to get rid of all the time
information in the DateIn variable. Please, any help would be
greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance! :)
Here is my action script right now:

The functionality of the GIS map was important. I was given the email for the person in charge of the map, who helped me out. It appeared that he was able to outline the road in the neighborhood that I needed to focus on. That provided a parcel ID, which in turn made it possible to focus in on the proper area. This is supposition on my part; perhaps he has other info that gave him the parcel ID.
I'm not a huge fan of Flash on other than desktops and laptops, but it is what it is, client needs to use it, I need to help the client out!

OSB::Operational Settings in the Customization File

In OSB, I was wondering is there any way to put in the Operational Settings (like Monitoring and Aggregation Interval) as well as SLA Alerts in the Customization File that we generate from the sbconsole.
I dont seem to be getting the values as <Monitoring> is enabled or not, in the Customization File that we create.

You can use customization files to make changes to environment values as well as to change references within resources. It is not meant to change the Operational Settings or any other configuration.

Changing Java Conc. program for "PO Output for Communication" is difficult.
Actually, if you observe closely, "PO Output for Communication" program uses PO<HEADER/LINES..>_XML views.
So if you could change these views and add your requireed columns to it, you can automatically see your changes in XML data file.
