CVI Simple UI modifications

I am modifying the CVI Simple user interface (TestStand 4.1.1) and would like to have similar functionality using the SequenceCombo Box and SequenceView Box as the Full Featured User Interface has with the Sequence List Box and the SequenceView (STEPLISTVIEW) box.  So that when I select a Sequence in the ComboBox the steps are shown in the SequenceView Box.
Thanks

John -
In the Simple UI, the SequenceView Control is connected to the ExecutionView Manager via the ExecutionViewMgr.ConnectExecutionView() method. When connected in this manner, the SequenceView displays the sequence execution specified by the ExecutionViewMgr.Execution property (when tracing is enabled).
What you want is to have the SequenceView Control display the sequence, and its steps, at edit time. In order for a SequenceView Control to accomplish this, it must be connected to a SequenceFileView Manager via the SequenceFileViewMgr.ConnectSequenceView() method. When connected in this manner, the SequenceView displays, at edit time, the sequence specified by the SequenceFileViewMgr.Sequence property.
A SequenceView Control can only be connected to one Manager control at a time and the Simple UI contains one SequenceView Control.
You can either change the section of the code that connects the SequenceView Control to the ExecutionViewMgr and replace it with the appropriate code to connect it to the SequenceFileViewMgr, or you can add an additional SequenceView Control (in a new tab or tiled next to the original one) and connect it to the SequenceFileViewMgr in the manner described above. The implementation is up to you.
Hope this helps.

I am completely new to JSP and I have a string which contains spaces but I need to replace all of the spaces with underscores (_)? Any help anyone can give me would be much appreciated!

I think you are new to JAVA too..
    ok fine
    use this method
    String replace(char oldChar, char newChar)
    Example
    String sSpace = "A ";
    sSpace = sSpace.replace(' ','_');

  • EA-FIN New Depreciation - How to restrict creation of 'new intervals' ?

    Hi Everyone,
We have turned on the EA-FIN Business Function Extension and are wondering if there is a way to restrict the creation of new intervals using company codes.  We have three companies in our SAP system and want only one of them to be able to create new intervals.  Is there a standard way to do this or only be development?  All ideas are welcome!
So far we tried to search if there is an Authority Object, which could be used to apply this restriction with no luck.  Could it be done using Validations?
    Thanks in advance,
    Erne

why would you want this? intervals are just a technical item...  so long as the numbers are correct and the calculation is logical to follow, why would you care?
you can probably achieve this by:
1 - immediately blocking every asset record so that no other postings can be made
2 - not allowing any time-dependent changes to occur. this might be possible via authorization or you could remove the time intervals button via a simple screen modification
but I don't understand why this is wanted.

  • T500 Vista buying experience and initial setup problems

This a long post but I felt the information could be used by others buying a notebook and trying to set it up.
I have used a Thinkpad T40 (1 GB, XP Pro) at work since 2003  and just love the rock-solid keyboard, screen, and hinges. The IT department has offered me the most recent Dell computer as an upgrade but I much prefer to keep my old reliable T40.
When my daughter needed a notebook for university in September, it was only natural to consider Lenovo, having heard about too many quality problems with other manufacturers. I wanted this notebook to last through the 4 years without any hardware problems.
I did a lot of research on the Web and read numerous Thinkpad forums. The information gathered was invaluable for deciding which configuration to buy. Note that I have never used VISTA before, nor have I ever opened a notebook to replace parts.
    Buying experience:
    - On my first contact with the Lenovo Sales desk in Canada, they mentioned there was a special 25% coupon sale, if my configuration was over $1500 (discounted price). These specials come back often, so it is best to check the Lenovo site. At the time, there was a free integrated camera, free upgrade to 250 MB HDD and free shipping. Since these promotions can be removed at any time, I decided to place an online order for a Thinkpad T500, before having completed all my research. It is easy to place an order online. You just have to remember that not all items contribute to making up the $1500, such as MS Office software.
    - Lenovo Sales telephone support for answering any questions about online ordering was outstanding and very helpful.
    - Note that if a particular online configuration is there one week, it might not be there the next week. It depends on parts availability at Lenovo.
    - In order to get the 25% coupon discount, I had to add some items to my configuration to reach $1500, such as Bluetooth, Wifi 5100, which I did not really need, but the saving on the overall cost was worthwhile.
    - I had ordered a WXGA (1280 x 800) High Brightness LED Backlit screen and 3 GB of RAM. After reading about the poor display quality of these screens, I was able to cancel my order by phone the next day (after making sure the same deal was still available), and place a new revised order for a WSXGA+ TFT (1680 x 1050) screen. Since the configuration price for an additional 2 GB RAM was $110 CDN, I decided to buy the extra 2 GB RAM (only $43 CDN) as an accessory, on the same order, separate from the T500 configuration. I could then install the RAM myself to save $67 ! Just make sure you pay the extra to get the base 2 GB RAM on one DIMM, since there are only 2 slots available. I know I will only be using 3.5 GB with my 32-bit Windows, but at least, if one of the DIMMs goes bad, I can still operate on 2 GB.
    - as for choosing which CPU to buy, I chose in the middle range, starting with the first CPU having 3 MB L2 cache.
    - I did not buy MS Office or McAfee Antivirus with the configuration. Since my daughter attends a post-secondary institution, she was able to order MS Office Ultimate 2007 for $64 CDN + $13 for the DVD. Microsoft has had this promotion on their site
     (http://www.microsoft.com/student/discounts/theultimatesteal-ca/default.aspx)
for a while, but it is not well known. You get 8 MS products for one low price and it is completely legal for numerous countries ! I downloaded the software since it took 5 weeks to get the DVD delivered ! At the end of 4 weeks, I contacted Microsoft to tell them I had still not received the DVD. So I received the first DVD and a few weeks later, I received a second copy. So much for quick shipping !
    Initial impressions:
    - I received 3 separate shipments: 1 free Thinkpad privacy filter to install on the screen, the 2 GB RAM, and finally the T500 (which took about 2 weeks).
-The stainless steel hinges are rock-solid. When trying to raise the lid in the first weeks, you have to hold down the keyboard. Not at all like the hinges I see on the Dell notebooks at work.
    - The 3 USB port connections are very tight, which means they should last through repeated plugging and unplugging.
    - The T500 is surprisingly quiet, more than my T40. You can hardly hear the fan.
    - I am extremely satisfied with the screen resolution, colours, and quality.
    - The only disappointment was the keyboard ! Typing on the left-hand side (Q,W keys) produced an annoying "clunk". This was the worst keyboard I had ever used, being accustomed to the legendary quality of my T40. Even my daughter complained about the keyboard. I had read on the forums about the "flex" in the keyboard. Before ordering, when I asked the Sales Rep if these known problems had been solved, I was told that yes, the keyboard flex was no longer an issue. Too bad this was not true !
    Initial Setup:
    - Setup was easy. Just follow the on-screen instructions.
    - I was not very happy to see a trial version of MS-Office and McAfee Antivirus on my notebook. I had not ordered it on the online configuration and did not want it. I had read on the forums that other users had all sorts of problems trying to get their own version of MS Office working (activation keys not being recognized), when the pre-loaded software was still there. And I knew how difficult it could be to erase all traces of McAfee by myself.
    Hardware problems:
    - after I burned my very first DVD, I pressed the Eject button. To my surprise, there was a thin grey foam ring (about 3 cm diameter) sitting on top of my DVD media. I assumed that this came from the roof of the DVD drive and the manufacturing process had missed the glue to keep it there. I contacted Lenovo and they immediately sent out a replacement (received the next day), which was easy to install. I then returned the defective part to Lenovo. My only complaint is that this was a refurbished unit. I was expecting a new unit since the part was defective out of the box and not a few months later.
    - for the defective keyboard, I contacted Lenovo and mentioned the numerous complaints on the forums, and they sent me a new keyboard (FRU 42T3938). Unlike the DVD drive, I did not have to send back the original keyboard. However, the replacement keyboard was exactly the same as the original, with a thin flexible backing full of holes. I contacted Lenovo again in the morning and the agent mentioned I should contact Sales, since there was nothing more he could do. That afternoon, the agent called me to say that after further research, he had found a replacement keyboard that would correct the flex. When I received the second replacement keyboard (FRU 42T3210), I knew it was the right one, since there were far less holes in the more solid backing plate. I followed the instructions for replacing the keyboard and added my additional 2 GB RAM at the same time, since it is in the same area, under the palm rest. Now the keyboard is almost like my solid T40, and I am no longer ashamed of the T500 keyboard. For those of you wondering what an ACNOR or CSA keyboard is, it is one where the 5 most common French accented characters (and not only the é) are used with one keystroke. I have been using such a keyboard disposition since 1994 and it is invaluable when typing in French.
For pictures comparing the defective and replacement keyboards, see

    My immediate goals:
    - out of the box, there are 3 partitions: partitions Q (10 GB)  and S (1 GB) are Lenovo partitions to recover the operating system, C partition is a single partition over 200 GB on my 250 GB DD. I wanted to partition the C: drive in multiple partitions.
    - I also wanted to eliminate MS Office and McAfee so I could install my own software (MS Office 2007 Ultimate and free Avast Antivirus). When I contacted Lenovo to ask how I could do this, they said I could use the recovery partition and "customize" it so that this software would not be installed. Turns out that this option was removed by Lenovo. I guess pressure from Microsoft and McAfee was too great ! The only other option was to use Add/Remove.
    Partitioning problems.
    - I ran Diskmgmt.msc (also available on XP) to see the layout of my HDD. Unfortunately, it did not seem to be powerful enough to partition like I wanted. But it is great to see the layout of the disk and do basic partitioning. (http://www.theeldergeek.com/hard_drives.htm)
    - I installed the free EASUS Partition Manager (http://www.partition-tool.com/); the non-free Pro version works on 64-bit.  I wanted to partition: C 35GB (Operating System and Office), D 20GB (other applications), E 25GB (Data), F 100GB (Music and Pictures). I also installed the free EASUS Todo Backup (http://www.todo-backup.com/) to do regular image backups as I was proceeding.
    - while trying to partition the C drive, I must have made an error somewhere (I think I accidentally declared another partition as the active partition). Whenever I rebooted, I would get the message "Boot MGR is missing". I could not even use the recovery partition (Q and S) on the HDD. So my notebook was totally unusable. Fortunately, I had burned 4 Recovery DVD's, as soon as the OS was operational. The first recovery DVD booted OK. However, the system would not recognize any of the 3 other recovery DVD, displaying a message such as wrong disk inserted or something similar. Imagine if in a few months I had needed to use these recovery DVD that I had burned; they were completely useless and I would have nothing to recover with. Very scary !
    - I explained the problem to Lenovo Support and they sent me within 3 days a set of 4 Rescue & Recovery DVD. By following the instructions, it took 2 hours to recover to a working system. The good: no Office or McAfee trial software came with this recovery. The bad: there was a 2 GB empty partition at the beginning of the HDD and 10 GB of unallocated space at the end of the disk. Why Lenovo would do this, I don't know; seems a bit sloppy to me. Also, I had to manually reconfigure everything, since there is no "just follow the instructions" as when configuring the "out-of-the-box" system. I had to install my own PDF viewer
(free open source PDF X-viewer http://www.docu-track.com/home/prod_user/PDF-XChange_Tools/pdfx_viewer), Adobe Flash, etc...
    - the major problem in partitioning is the inability to shrink a partition (such as C) in order to free up space after to add extended partitions
(http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/working-around-windows-vistas-shrink-volume-inadequacy-...). There always seems to be VISTA unmovable files, MBR or something else. After reading numerous posts, I installed the trial version (30 days) of Raxco PerfectDisk Home edition in order to consolidate all the files to the front of the C: drive. A few iterations were required since the MBR seems to be placed in the middle of the partition. I was finally able to partition my HDD exactly as I wanted. I was so pleased with the efficiency and ease of use of PerfectDisk that I bought the Pro 10 version. Just wait for when the software is occasionally discounted. (http://www.perfectdisk.com/home)
    VISTA User account setup:
I had created my E partition to store all user data of all accounts, since I would have multiple accounts on the computer. I also wanted to store all music and pictures in the Public folder on F partition. There are numerous methods described on the Internet, most of which seem too complicated. See http://joshmouch.wordpress.com/2007/04/07/change-user-profile-folder-location-in-vista/ and
http://www.vista4beginners.com/Move-user-files-folders-to-another-partition?page=1. I finally decided to do just 2 simple registry modifications described in the last post here
    (http://superuser.com/questions/6391/moving-users-folder-on-windows-vista-seven-to-another-partition).
It worked for me but use at your own risk ! Just edit the 2 Registry keys and replace the C: drive by the one you need.
    - I only had the Admin account created on the C: partition. Before creating any other user accounts, I modified the registry so that all new user accounts created would use my E partition.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList  ProfilesDirectory = E:\Users
    - I modified the registry so that the Public folder would be on my F partition.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList  Public = F:\Public

    - I had been a long-time subscriber to the Fred Langa Langalist
(http://www.langa.com/backups/backups.htm). I now subscribe to the excellent Windows Secrets newsletter (http://www.windowssecrets.com/). The information provided is very useful.
    - I had considered an inexpensive boot manager, partition manager and imaging software (BootIt Next Generation) highly recommended by Fred Langa
(http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/index.htm). But it seemed a bit like overkill for my needs. There is a fully-functioning trial version.
    - I regularly consult a complete list of recommended free software on Gizmo's Freeware review (http://www.techsupportalert.com). One recommended free open source defragmenter which I did not use was MyDefrag (http://www.mydefrag.com/).
    - download and install the latest version of the Lenovo System Tools (Toolbox). It is very easy to use and can troubleshoot all hardware problems. Search for MIGR-67520 on the Lenovo site.
    - you can find Roxio DVD burning software on the Lenovo site (MIGR-72359 on the Lenovo site). I have not installed it yet.
    - use the Lenovo System Update to keep your drivers up-to-date.

    Recommendations to Lenovo:
    - don't ship poor quality keyboards. You have too much to lose, for the small manufacturing savings.
    - don't pre-install trial versions of Office or McAfee. This should be an option and not be forced onto buyers.
    - at least ship the HDD with a 40 GB C primary partition and the rest as D: partition. This would make it easier for users who are not technical.
    - if you are going to include an integrated camera, provide software to use it. Currently, I have no way of taking a picture or making a video without acquiring other software. The technique described here
    (http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-67413) does not work !
    - provide some software to reduce the speed of the DVD drive when watching movies. The noise at the default maximum speed is very annoying.

people complaining about problems installing an office over another office are (dare i say it) stupid. it makes absolutely no sense installing one over the trial version. just uninstall the trial and you'll be fine. every single time.
as for problem with uninstalling mcafee (or any other antivirus, for that matter, just download the uninstaller from the software company e.g. http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507 for mcafee.
that said i believe you get to choose if you want mcafee and/or office when you go through the inital boot, the "on-screen instructions"
you can slow down the odd via power manager

  • Printing to an AppleTalk network printer

I need a serious guru here... someone versed in AppleTalk and Windows XP and maybe CUPS.
My workhorse laser printer is an old HP LaserJet 4MP, circa 1992. Nevertheless it works fine and I want to keep it that way. It's an Appletalk printer which means it only speaks Appletalk. It's connected to my wireless home network via an AsanteTalk bridge. It prints about 4 pages per minute (wow).
If you want to add this printer in OS X, it's easy: it simply shows up as both a shared printer and an Appletalk printer in System Preferences > Print and Fax. Select it and that's pretty much all I need to do. Obviously I've been using this printer since System 7 using its built-in drivers. No other drive software was ever necessary. Like everything Apple, it just works.
I'd like to be able to use this printer from my employer-supplied Windows XP laptop. I'm not well versed in Windows, but I've been able to muddle through setting up networked printers in the past. But I can't seem to find this printer using Window's "add printer" thing.
I've tried entering the URI for this printer which CUPS reports is pap://*/HP%20LaserJet%204MP/LaserWriter. I've tried underscores and spaces instead of %20 but Windows can't find the printer.
Even after getting Windows to recognize the printer I suppose it would only print gibberish unless I could find a way for Windows to speak Appletalk, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
Any insight appreciated. Yes I know I can buy a brand new wireless printer for less than a replacement toner cartridge; I'm more motivated by geekdom here.
Next I'll tell you about my Appletalk Imagewriter II.

    Ian Keller wrote:
I was aware of newer Macs autosensing but I didn't realize the AsanteTalk depended on that.
The AsanteTalk is built in a conventional manner in that it expects to be plugged into a switch or hub. That's the normal way of doing things. Apple just makes things convenient by making their computer ports autosense. I guess our Airport Extreme ports don't (though the newer ones might).
As I recall the AsanteTalk included both straight and crossover cables when I bought it years ago. They still sell them, so I suppose there's still a market for Appletalk. From what you determined I now suspect Time Capsule doesn't support it, which is a disappointment since I think it would be a simple code modification not requiring any additional hardware.
When it was connected to the Airport Extreme (spaceship 802.11b/g variety) I wasn't seeing anything with the atlookup command. I tried the simultaneous rebooting/atlookup trick but that didn't work either. So I switched the AppleTalk to ethernet, plugged in directly to my laptop and it saw everything right away. So plugged it back into the Airport Extreme, switched AppleTalk back to Airport and it showed up immediately.
You may find that your AsanteTalk stops operating in a similar manner after a power failure that simultaneously affects both it and your Extreme. Asante devotes a lengthy procedure for addressing that in their FAQ. When I investigated that phenomenon years ago, Asante blamed it on a bug inherent in the Appletalk architecture. The "repeated atlookup while powering up the bridge" technique works for me. You ought not to have to disconnect / reconnect cables each time you have a blackout. Anyway, now that you know it works and what it looks like you'll be able to reconfigure it easily next time.
Not sure if that's clear. ... What I don't know, and I'm too tired to experiment with right now, is what would happen if my laptop were in another room and I was getting my wifi from the TC instead of the AE. I suppose I would not be able to print, for the same reason that the iMac can't.
Perfectly clear, and I would agree with your suspicions. I'm sure given enough thought, you'll come up with a clever architecture that would mitigate the problem.
But thanks to you I'm happily printing remotely with a 13 year old printer.
Got you beat! My ImageWriter II still prints wirelessly from all my computers running TIger. It's over 20 years old and built like a tank. I like my HP too, but it's hard to justify maintaining it when I can buy this wireless laser printer for little more than the cost of an HP LJ 4MP toner cartridge. I'm committed to keeping it operating until that needs replacing, so keep an eye on the thread in my previous post.
Glad it's all working for you!

  • Canon IR 2880i printer "help" dialogue box can't be turned off

I have a Canon ir2880i networked to my Mac Minis at work (3 computers). Every time I print to it from my Mac OS X (running Leopard), I get a pop-up box that says:
+"Canon UFR11 Helper - If the output print appears differently from the original shown on the screen, select (Raster Mode) in (Quality)-(Quality Settings)-(Graphics Mode), and then print.: 15925"+
I do not wish to see this after every page I print (we print lots of pages in my office all day long, as many businesses do ... ). If I follow the directions, not only does it not prevent the pop-up from coming up each time, but it also makes the printout unreadable - not a solution, obviously.
I cannot find where to turn this off and it isn't relevant to any printing I am doing. Can anyone let me know how I can stop this box from popping up? I have been told by the tech at the place I purchased the machine from there is no way to do this and it seems ridiculous to me to have to put up with this from a $7000 machine.
    Thanks!

    Hi pixie_vixen.
Sorry that none of that worked. I hadn't tried it myself, but I was hopeful it would have worked. We don't use UFR in the office but I've used it at home with my Canon MF printer so I have seen that message pop up.
In testing the UFR2 driver this morning, I saw that the pop up is a process called User Notification Center. It looks to be a child process of the launch daemon, rather than a Canon application. From what I can see, the UFR2 Helper will start everytime you print and then puts a request to UserNotificationCenter to generate the pop up about the quality.
So it doesn't look like there is a simple user modification that can be made to stop this from appearing. The only thing I can suggest is to make a preset with the Raster setting saved and this will stop the pop up.
The setting is located under Quality > Quality Settings and for the Graphics Mode, select Raster Mode. Click OK and then save this as a preset. Now when you print with this preset selected the message will not appear.

  • Problem with the transport request

A request was released to Prod.
In D and Q the request is success but in P it shows one error..
so, we tried to create a new request and copy the objects from the old one.
but v r gettiing the objects not below the task(in req) but below the req..
so it is not possible for me to release it.
I also tried to edit the code , but when i saved it it is not asking for a new request. is it bcoz old req is released to P?

    Hi,
In production system, it is showing an error in the logs while transporting : Generation of Programs and Screen and return an error code 8. there are no repositary objects to transport. this is just simple code modification. In Quality and Dev system, transportation was done successfully with out causing any problem.
So, we tried to create a new transport request by editing the code in development.however it is not asking for the new transport request number while saving or activating.
Also, we tried to create a new TR manually using SE09 and placing the modified objects under the task. but, transport request and task number are getting created at a time and while assigning the objects, the objects are under the request not under the task.the objects should be under the task only.
this is the problem what exactly we are getting. Please clarify..

  • Infoset not being generated - SQ02

    Hello Experts,
I have made simple code modification to an infoset created with SQ02, but the changes are not getting applied. This infoset is used in a Z Query, which is assigned to a transaction code.
    So I have,
    infoset zinfo
    query zmmquery
    Transaction zexquery
I made a couple of changes through the editor in SQ02. The problem is that when generating my infoset in SQ02 I'm getting the message that it was generated successfully, however, if I execute the transaction in debug mode this changes are not taken into account (I mean i still do not see my changes). If I try to execute a test whithin SQ02 the changes are not taken into account either.
Any ideas on how to get this generated properly?
    Thanks in advance and regards!!
    Emanuel

    Hello,
for those who still have problems: do not forget to open a new session when
    trying to execute the query.
So, the flow, in order to be more clear:
Generate and save the Infoset in SQ2.
    Close SQ2.
    Open new SQ1.
    Test.

  • CWA using Cisco ISE issue

    Good morning everyone,
I have some trouble to use my Cisco ISE to do Central Web Authentication. I followed this following configuration example : http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/identity-services-engine/116087-configure-cwa-wlc-ise-00.html
But for the moment, clients can't seee the web portal. My WLC and my Cisco ISE are well configured as presented in the document, when clients connect to the AP, they are listed into the Cisco ISE with the good authorization profile but, the URL redirection doesn't work as well as I want, clients have to enter manually the IP address in the web browser to log-in trough the Cisco ISE.
If anyone already had this problem, maybe could tell me more about that.
    Thanks in advance!

    Good news!
I have resolved my problem 15 minutes ago. For people who have the same problem, I have just changed my static route in my WLC. The issue was that I broadcast the same VLAN used for the management interface and in adding the network allowing admin to reach service-port, all traffic of my broadcasted VLAN was sent to the service-port. A simple netmask modification resolved the problem.
I have still a problem with CoA which doesn't work properly and I have to disconnect/reconnect to the SSID to have a complete access but I'm going to continue my research for that.
Thanks all for your help !!!!

  • How to add shortcut files to the Teststand workspace

I am deploying my test stand application using TS deployment utility. At the end I need three four icons / shortcuts to launch the operator interface with different seq file entry points. I have created manually the shortcuts and it is working fine. How do I add these icons to my installer. I tried to add these shortcuts into the workspace. But it is adding the exe instead of the shortcut.
How do I add these shortcuts to the installer / create these shortcuts during installation?
    Thanks
    Senthilnathan A.

    Hi,
I found a workaround that could work for you.
You can write a post.bat file to copy the shortcut created for your program item to wherever you want.
The only thing you have to do is to create the windows start menu item for your operator interface and include a post.bat file in your installer directory to copy the *.lnk file to the desired location.
The Post.bat file is executed immediatly after the installer finishes.
I am attaching a simple installer that installs the CVI simple operator interface and creates a shortcut for it in the Windows Start menu and on the Desktop.
I am only copying the file from the start menu to the desktop in the post file.
    I hope it helps.

  • SOAP and ConsoleOne synch problem

I've been making some simple params modifications on a user and I found that fields have different values for the soap invocations and in a ConsoleOne view:
I've change persistence field in Junk properties group for a user but there was no difference in ConsoleOne. I've rerun program which uses soap and I can see new values. ConsoleOne don't see new values even after turning it off and start one more. If I change value in ConsoleOne I don't see any changes in my application.
Any idea what it or I do wrong?

You need to use the Admin API to effect values stored
    in ConsoleOne.

    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <NIDAQmx.h>
    #define DAQmxErrChk(functionCall) if( DAQmxFailed(error=(functionCall)) ) goto Error; else
    int main(void)
            printf(hello);
        return 0;
    La console me retourne:
DAQmx error: Device identifier is invalid
    Device specified: Dev1
    Suggested Devices: cDaq1, cDaqMod1
    Task Name: _unnamedTask<0>
    Status Code: -200220.
J'ai cherché dans le header si la chaine "Dev1" y apparaissait mais ce n'est pas le cas. Je ne comprends pas ce qu'il se passe.

  • New to Powershell Scripting

    Hey,
New to PowerShell scripting and new to the forum.
Have been given a task to populate the 'Company' field under 'Organization' in AD and would very mush appreciate some guidance.
Don't want to manually populate the field and was wondering whether there is a simple script to add the 'Company' name.
    BigThack

Hi Bill, thanks for the reply, however, have over 2000 users to go through and didn't want to did this manually.
The nice part about using ADUC is that you can just multiselect all of those users and update the company attribute in one step.
I honestly think this will be the easiest and quickest method of doing this if you're not comfortable with scripting.
If you're using this as a reason to learn PowerShell though, both Fred and jrv have good suggestions.

A good tip, as it is nice to know that ADU&C allows simple bulk modifications like this.
But likely the next task he will be assigned will not be as easily handled with ADU&C. My guess is that this task may involve populating each user's EmployeeID field. For that reason, among others, BigThack would be well advised to continue learning
    Powershell.
And, in addition to the scripting guys forum, there is also the
    Powershell Forum.

  • MSI X58 Platinum SLI how get beyond Intel Matrix Storage v 8.5.0.1030 Option Rom

I would like to know if I can get beyond Intel Matrix Storage v 8.5.0.1030 Option Rom
I am also running a X58 Platinum SLI Bios v3.90

The Intel Matrix Storage Manager Option ROM is pretty much a more or less independent BIOS Module.  It would be MSI's job (the job of MSI's BIOS Engineers) to provide an official BIOS Version that includes an updated version of the Intel Matrix Storage Manager Option ROM Module.
Alternatively, it is possible to exchange that particular module via a relatively simple BIOS Modification (given, that one has a copy of v8.5.0.1013).
Follow NovJoe's suggestion to contact MSI first.  If they (for some reason) have second thoughts regarding an Intel Matrix Storage Manager Option ROM Update, we could consider the option of modding a BIOS for you.

  • How to track modification of PK for JKM DB2/400 Journal Simple

    Hi gurus,
Updating Primary key cannot propagate to target table using cdc with JKM DB2/400 Journal Simple.I find a tuple of new primary inserts into target table without deleting the old one.Is there any customized SAVPGM**** for PK modification in DB2/400?
    CDCRTVJRN: SAVPGM0106,SAVPGM0107
    Thanks,
    nan

Thanks to all for assistance. It turns out that the 10 character limit, about which the server people warned me, isn't an issue with my ODBC connection. The invalid token error was being caused by some missing qualifiers in the generated sql which caused appearances of ".tablename" rather than "tablename" and other similar. I was able to modify the knowledge module to eliminate this issue and the CDC worked correctly on my first test.

  • The GTK icon cache conspiracy
