D110a printer

my printer is connected wirelessly and i have an ip address for the printer but i cant access web services.  i get server connection error.  my wireless network has no internet access.  but i have a wireless network connection and where it says access type  it says no internet access.  but i am on the internet so i have internet access just not to wireless network. i am very frustrated  i am trying to get the email address for my printer.  any help would be greatly appreciated.

An IP beginning with 172 indicates a guest network (D-Link calls it a Guest Zone).  So you probably have two networks - the main D-Link one and the Guest Zone.  To make matters worse, DSL modems are usually modem/router combo boxes, so there may be a third wireless network in your house controlled by the DSL modem/router!
If you do not need the Guest Zone, go into the D-link settings and disable it.  You should be able to get into it by typing 192.168.0.1 into a browser.  The login is 'admin' and the password is left blank.
Tell me the brand/model of the DSL box and I can you help turn off its wireless network.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • EPrint working but D110a printer always listed as offline on work laptop when trying to print

I've literally tried everything to resolve the issue listed in the title. I'm very good with networking. I'll run down the list of the things I've tried to resolve this issue, or important factors that someone might need to know in order to assist me:
This is my work laptop, which I am using at home
    I am running 64-bit Windows 7 Professional
All of my wireless devices have Internet access
I can print to my D110a printer, but only via the ePrint option, which takes longer, because the packets must be routed through the Internet
I have removed the D110a from Devices and Printers; HP ePrint is still listed as a separate device
The laptop has a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port
My wireless router is a dual-band router that operates at the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies
I am connecting using the 2.4GHz frequency
The laptop has a built-in wireless card, which can achieve up to a 72Mbps connection
I have a wireless-N adapter, which can connect to my 5GHz band and achieve up to a 300Mbps connection; I have removed the adapter and ensured that I am connected to my 2.4GHz band
Other HP printer drivers for printers I use at work are installed on my laptop
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the full and basic drivers for my D110a, but during the setup, the wizard never finds the printer despite the fact that it obtains valid, private IP address (192.168.1.x) on my 255.255.255.0 network
I had hidden both my 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSIDs, and the D110a was connected to the former, but my 2.4GHz SSID is no longer hidden, and the D110a shows it is connected with a valid, private IP address that is not in use
The printer's IP address was statically set before, but I've since changed it to DHCP
I had MAC-address filtering enabled for network devices before, but I've since disabled it
I've tried removing power from the modem, router, and printer concurrently, waiting a minute or so, and then restoring power to the modem, router, and printer in turn before confirming that, again, my wireless printer could connect to my network and lease a valid, private IP address that was not in use by any other device on my network
I have read that the HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service might confuse a laptop that is used between a work and home network if other HP printers are available on the work network unless the service is disabled when switching between networks. However, since I'm trying to re-add the D110a printer from home, I would imagine that this service needs to be enabled and Started. It's currently in a Started status with a Manual startup type.
Oddly enough, although I can access the Internet from either the 2.4GHz or the 5GHz band, I cannot ping my gateway (192.168.1.1) when I'm wirelessly connected, nor can I ping some other connected devices on my network, even though I can see that they are connected in my gateway/wireless router's user interface. The router is connected to a modem, but the router is set up as the DHCP server and assigns IP addresses to devices that try to connect to my home network. I believe my modem is on a different subnetwork, with an internal IP address of 192.168.0.1, not 192.168.1.1, which is my gateway/router's IP address. Curiously, I can ping my router and other devices on my network if I am directly connected to the router via Ethernet port. I have gone into Windows Firewall with Advanced Security, and I see that echo requests for IPv4 are permitted for any interface type (wired or wireless), but this only applies to a Domain (i.e., work) network, only. Perhaps a rule would need to be created to permit echo requests on a private network (i.e., mine), as well.
Maybe I shouldn't worry about this, since the workaround is just to print to the listed HP ePrint device, but it's ridiculous that I can't print to the D110a locally. Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.
    Respectfully,
    Eric Sternot

  • No printer code for my D110a printer

I am unable to find the printer code on my d110a printer. Wireless services are enabled on the printer. The code (email address) does not print out or show on the panel. Web services are enabled and I have no problems printing from my laptops?
When I try to download apps. The printer indicates it cannot connect to the network??? I've tried reinstalling the printer with the same results?

    Mandybear:
You need to update the firmware on your printer.
    Go to:
Setup>Preferences and select Product Updates...this will cause the unit to search for and download a firmware update.
Allow that update and you should have no problems enabling Web Services.
When you enable web services an info sheet will print out...go to the ePrintCenter web site, create an account, and add your printer to your account using the printer code on the left side of the info sheet.   Do that within 24 hours of the info sheet printing out.  If you do it later that 24 hours you'll need to reprint the info sheet to re-enable the printer code for adding it to your account.
Once you've added your printer you can configure ePrint, and add/remove/re-order, and configure print apps on your printer.

  • Hp d110a prints blurry from any iOS device, but not from any other kind of device.

My D110a prints blurry...almost like a shadow...when printing via AirPrint on any iOS device, but if I print from other devices, or just print a report, it prints correctly. I have attempted to search on the device's control panel (both on the device and web-based) to see if there is a print setting, and I will also check my router.
Does anyone know why this would be happening? I have access to another HP ePrint All-In-One at my job, and my iPad prints fine to that printer.
    Thanks much,
    Chris

    Hello Choirguy,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand when printing from Apple Devices with the AirPrint driver it prints blurry. We know it is not the HP Photosmart D110a, as you can print reports from the front panel with no problem and all other Operating systems are fine and print correctly. Please let me know the following:
    1. Is the D110a connected directly to a wall outlet, without power strips or surge protectors connected?
    2. What other devices are you able to successfully print from, and how are they connected USB or Wireless>
    3. Do you have any software installed on the devices that are able to print from?
I will watch for your reply, so we can continue.
    Thanks,

  • [HP Photosmart D110a] Printer won't connect to network

    Printer: HP Photosmart D110a
    Operating system: Mac OSX 10.6.8
I'm living in a dorm room and trying to wirelessly connect my printer to my computer. I can't connect my printer to my university's network because it's protected. Instead I've been connecting to my printer's SSID network. I go into Settings --> Wireless --> Wireless Settings --> Wireless Setup Wizard --> the printer scans for routers, and then the SSID name comes up in a list underneath my university's closed network. It's called HPD110a.7809C6.
I connect to it, it says it's connected, but then the Wireless light keeps flashing blue. I go back to the Wireless tab and it shows that it's connecting, connecting, connecting... and then there's no connection.
My printer was working a little while ago. It's been tempermental and has occasionally worked. But since the last time my roommate used it and turned it off, it's refused to connect to that SSID network and has thus refused to work. I think I solved the connectivity issue I had before by connecting it to the SSID network, but now it won't connect.
Things I've tried to combat this issue:
Restarted the printer, both by turning it off and turning it on manually, as well as pulling the plug out of the back while it was on (I've read in my search for an answer for this problem that doing that can help some issues?) and unplugging it while it was off and then restarting it
Continuously tried to reconnect to the SSID network
Tried to enter the printer's IP in my internet browser's address bar; nothing came up, since it isn't connected
Turned off the wireless in the Wireless Settings menu, then turned it back on a half hour later, then waited to see if it'd reconnect
    Reset printer drivers
Updated my ePrint software and installed all availible HP product updates
I've printed out the Network Test multiple times, and each time it's said everything passes, but that I've had numerous disconnects and that the connection is low
I even moved a music player that was near my printer, thinking that maybe the metal was messing up the connection somehow (last resort)
Changed the empty ink cartridge (last resort)
I haven't tried restarting my computer, but I don't think that's what the problem is. My roommate's computer can't connect to the printer either (she's running OSX 10.8).
I have the printer in my Printer list twice in two seperate ways: One version is connected through the IP address, and the other is an option that appeared once while I was connected to the SSID network and just became a new printer. That one includes the scan option, but the first one doesn't. When I try to print something, the first printer says "Network host [IP ADDRESS] is busy.. will retry in 5/10/20/etc seconds..." and the second printer says "Printer offline."
The same thing happens with both whether I've gone into my Airport settings in the upper right and connected to the printer as a Device or not. It still shows my printer as a Device that I connect to, even though the printer itself says it's offline.
    Additional informatiom:
I don't have a USB cable for my printer, so I haven't tried that yet.
At one point during all the re-setting and restarting, I saw the printer's IP address appear in the Wireless menu as the connected network, but it still wouldn't print at that time.
That's all the information I can think of in relation to this issue; if anyone needs to know anything else, let me know. Hopefully it's enough, and hopefully someone will have the answer to my problem.
Sorry if anything is confusing or frantic; I've been dealing with this for a few days now, and I've searched all the help forums I could and looked through as many HP documents as possible, but nothing has changed the situation. This is basically my last hope.

After just switching from Cable to FIOS, I had to get my HP C4580 wireless printer back online too.
What was important was that the Printer settings knew about the IP and port changes that are impacted from the new network and router from Verizon.   How to do this is in your HP printer network setup manual and handled by their driver when its installed on the PC.
If all fails, try hooking up to your printer via an USB cable and start from there.  Make sure everything works wired before trying again from a wireless setup.  Youll end up with two printers in your Windows Printer choices, one for USB and one for Wireless, but thats no big deal.

    Hi,
Only you (or relatives) know your WEP key, it should be in your access point (AP), you can logon to it and check this out.

  • Photosmart d110a printer not found

photosmart d110a on a mac with os lion via wireless connection
The printer had been working fine until today. We updated to LION in December but printed fine until today...
I went to support for help. So I went and downloaded latest software and drivers on computer and even used a USB cable so I could check for firmware updates on the printer itself; it said it had latest updates already.
So I go to the HP Installer download (from what was downloaded from updates) and commence to update and configure the printer. My mac can't find the printer still so I use a USB cable to connect them (following directions as I am prompted). Message says 'software is successfully installed. You are now ready to set up your device and software.' I disconnect USB cable.
I click continue and my device is not listed. I even go back to HP site and follow instructions on how to enter the IP manually and still it will not connect.
So I plug the USB back in to mac and it shows my device. I click configure...says it is compatible with wireless networks and I check off box that says "configure your device for a wireless netwk".
Next window says 'application has detected your device is currently connected to the following wireless netwk..." I confirm the wireless settings as correct and say to keep the settings and click continue.
Next window says 'HP device is now configured correctly' and the IP address listed matches the one on my wireless netwk test print pages that I ran and printed earlier. (I turned off printer twice and reran the wireless netwk test and it prints out 'congratulations on successful setup of your wireless printer', shows 'excellent' signal quality and the same info each time...same IP address, etc) **Bottom of this window says "IMPORTANT: please disconnect the USB cable connected to your device now." So I do and click continue.
POP UP says 'device not found on netwk'...'wireless netwk settings were successfully downloaded to your device. However, your Mac was unable to locate the device on the netwk. Please make sure that : Mac is connected to device wired or wireless, device is connected to wireless netwk....'
Not sure if this is worth noting but while the printer is connected via USB, it will print.
Please help! I am sooo confused!!!

    Hi MiltonLafer,
Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand you cannot install your HP Photosmart D110a with Windows 7. I am happy to help you! I have a couple of questions for you:
How is your printer connected? Wireless or USB?
Are you using the CD for the install or the online download?
If you are using the CD, I would recommend to try the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows instead, to see if that works.
Hope this helps you, and have a great day!

  • Life and Cost of Photosmart D110a Printer Black cartridge

With my new photosmart came a black ink cartridge that printed probably less than 100 pages, then I discovered the cost of the cartridges if you get them from HP and am wondering where one might get them at a reasonable price.  At the HP price they ar not competitive with a vall point pen.

Since word and pictures, and even pdf prints fine, that means the printer is not the problem.
I would try a different browser, and see if the problem goes with the browser or is with the web site. If you are using IE or chrome, try Firefox.

  • Hp Photosmart All In One d110a Printer Driver Installation Failure

I have tried over and over to install my printer wirelessly (as it is usb connected to my desktop that is a piece of crap and freezes all the time) to my Toshiba laptop. I have tried everything I can think of or have read, but nothing works! I am so frustrated and I just need to print my work, as I am a college student. I have uninstalled everything and reinstalled numerous times, I have redownloaded drivers and everything over and over, I feel like I've tried everything and it just fails. It doesn't even tell me it failed. I have to go into the control panel, into the printers and devices menu, and look at the printer icon (as microsoft word doesn't even show it's there at all). It says the network is connected but on down it says needs troubleshooting, yet the only issue it says it has is to install the full feature drivers and software which I have done so many times I'm ready to just throw the printer out the window. It just doesn't install or something, I don't know. Help please!!!!!!!!!!!

Try downloading the software from here after deleting what you've already installed from /Library/Printers/hp:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907
You could also use the AirPrint driver:

    Hi tony,
Here is the info from Canon's web site for the borderless printing for the PIXMA ip4000:
"To use iPhoto to create borderless prints, please follow all of the steps below:
While logged in as an Administrator, install Canon version 1.60 printer drivers onto your computer (with Mac OS X v10.2 or later as the operating system) and select the appropriate printer as the default.
    Launch iPhoto.
From iPhoto, select and open the image you wish to print. (Please refer to the Apple web site for instructions on how to use iPhoto.)
When you are ready to make a print, select from the "Menu Bar" "File: Page Setup".
The "Page Setup" dialog will appear.
    Select the following settings:
    Settings: Page Attributes
Format for: <Select the Canon printer you wish to use>
    Paper Size: 4x6 (borderless)
    Orientation: <Select the matching orientation>
    Scale: <Select the appropriate scale>
Select "OK" and the "Page Setup" dialog will close.
From iPhoto, from within the "Constrain" section of the browser window, select from the pull-down menu (i.e., the button directly above the "Constrain" label) either "4x6" or "4x6 Portrait". Then, using your mouse cursor, mouse-over the image and when the "Cross-Hairs" are over the upper left-hand corner of the portion of the image you wish to print, click and drag from the left to the right in a downwardly diagonal motion, releasing the click at the end of the image selection.
    Click the Crop button.
From the "Menu Bar", select "File: Print", select your options, then select "Print".
This selection, revealed in the iPhoto window will now print as a borderless, 4x6 print."
That said, I don't what the "Hagati" is in your Printer setup as Paper option.
    Is your Printer from Japan?
I have the Canon i9900 but I do not use iPhoto for printing. I use the software that came with the Printer called Easy-Photo Print and it works perfectly every time.
Make sure you have the updated Canon driver and Photo Print software from Canon's site.

  • IPhone 4.0 won't print- can't find HP D110a printer

Hi all. Hoping someone can help. I can't get my iPhone 4.0 to air print to my HPD110a printer via my linksys wireless router. Printer recognizes router, iPhone recognizes router but when I try to print something it says "no printers found". I have been working on this all day. Have contacted HP, apple care, Best Buy, geek squad local and geek squad 1-800. All ZERO help. Can anyone help me solve this please?  I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hello all... Again. Here are updates. Still no success- well limited success. I was able to update my printer wirelessly by surfing off a neighbor's signal (with their permission). It printed off their system just great. Here is my issue now. I was told by a mac guy at Best Buy that I could set my system up without an internet connection as long as I had a wireless router. Unless I am missing something, I do not think that is possible. The system worked flawlessly on a system with internet. It does not work in my own environment without internet and only using a wireless router. Does anyone have any other ideas for a work around?  Otherwise I am going to assume I was given some bad information. Should this be a genius bar service thing?  Or am I already at the genius bar?  :)  any help or insight is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks so much!

    Hello @TexasMos ,
Thanks for getting back to me. The AirPrint driver may be selected instead of the HP driver, by the sounds of it. I would like you to see the link below to see some screen shots that will help you check which driver is selected. If you see the AirPrint driver selected, you will need to change it to the HP driver.

  • D110a Not Printing

I have the D110a printer.  When I initially bought it and configured it, it worked.  Then a few months afterwards it stopped printing when I'd send print jobs from my Android phone (Droid X) via the assigned email address.  As recently as a couple of months ago I removed Web Services, removed the printer from my ePrintcenter website and tried to readd everything.  It still does not print anything.  When i refresh my jobs via the ePrintcenter it doesn't even show any of my jobs so presumably they are not even getting to the HP area to be printed.  I'm attempting to print from an email from my Hotmail account -- which is configured as a "Corporate email" on the Droid X.
    Any suggestions to remedy?

    Hi,
    Thank you for the reply,
Can you please tell me if you have configured same email account on your phone and computer? If yes and if you are able to send emails from your computer from the same account, where there are no issues in printing. Then you should not have any issues with the emails sent from the phone also. Provided you have entered the correct email address, SMTP server address,SMTP port address, username and password.
If you have configured a different email address on your phone and if you are sure that you have configured it correctly, then please go to www.hp.com/go/eprintcenter and login to your account and select your printer. Then click on eprint settings and click on the "Allowed Senders" tab and select everyone and click on Save and then try.

  • Adding D110a wireless printer to Mac

Hello, I've been working for hours trying to install my new D110a printer to my Mac, running OS 10.6.5.  After researching other issues in the forums, I've still had no luck.
    • The printer is connected to my Linksys WRT110 router and is working with ePrint services just fine (The router uses WPA2 Personal with TKIP or AES)
    • I am able to connect to the printer via a WIFI-connected Dell laptop
    • From my Mac, I can always connect to the printer's EWS
    • My Mac can find and print to the printer within the first minute of turning on the printer (most of the time), but after that minute, finding the printer and printing to it is impossible (connecting to the EWS is still possible from the Mac, though)
    • I have downloaded the newest HP drivers for Mac and have run HP update on the printer
    • The printer is set on a static IP, which again has been working with ePrint and my Dell
    • When I add the printer to my mac via the IP address, I can intermittently connect to the printer's information via "HP Utility", but when I try to print, it says that the printer is "Paused" (I resume, but it goes back to being paused)
    • Trying to connect via Bonjour is just as inconsistent
Again, I've gotten it to work on occasion, but nowhere near consistent.  I've disabled Norton and the firewall, but still no luck.
I've gone through the mac troubleshooting info already.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Let me know if you need more information.
    Joe

All right--I repeated step 2 from (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=219&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=40232... again, and tried to install...no luck.
I restored the router to factory defaults, restored the printer to factory defaults, and started from scratch.
Again, I was able to install the find and install the printer within one minute of turning on the printer through the installation.  I could print, scan and communicate without any problems, from my Mac.  After a few minutes though, my computer wasn't able to find the printer.  I couldn't print, scan, or gather information from the printer.  I could print via ePrint, but not directly from my computer.
When I try installing again, it won't find the printer...UNLESS I turn off the printer and turn it back on again (then communications are fine for the first few minutes, then gone again thereafter).
Quick question--can the printer be connected to more than one computer?  Or do I need to set it up through one computer, and have the computer share the printer?  This wouldn't solve my problem, necessarily, because no other computer is turned on when I'm working on this...just curious.
    Thanks again for the help,
    Joe
