D750 - A joke with name Nikon/Adobe CS 6

My photographer made the mistake and bought a new Nikon D750. Since a fortnight I have been trying to load this damned NEF into Photoshop. Echt time the message:
"Photoshop can't open this file...blablabla..." I have updated ALL things I can do DNG, View NX a.s.o Still no effect.
Nikon says: write to Photoshop. This statement proofs the "excellent relationship". Photoshop claims to be able to process D750 NEF.... BUT IT STILL DONT WORK!
My system:
iMac Mac OSX 10.10.2
Photoshop CS 6
I have recommend to my photographer to buy a Canon...

Have you looked at the version of Adobe Camera Raw that you have? The Nikon D 750 needs the latest: 8.7.1.
Go to Help > Updates in CS6 to see if it's available for download.
Some Nikon software can corrupt the Nefs so that it can't be opened. Have a look at this link:

Wrong image size with a Nikon D70 and another issue

Hi everyone!
I'm a photography student and I switched a few weeks ago. I've been using Adobe Lightroom under Windows for months, now I'm trying Aperture.
I own a Nikon D70, which is a 6 Mpix camera. The resolution of the pictures should be 3008x2000 pixels. With Aperture they are 3024x1998... It's *neither the good ratio neither the native resolution* of the camera.
What should I do?
Also, although I set up my camera in MTP mode, it *won't work in tethering mode*. It came back from the Nikon service center with a Nikon D70s firmware, but it should work as well, right?

Strange! I had tried with the camera in PTP mode a few days ago, it wasn't working. Trying again now and it works! I must have done something wrong. Thank you anyway!
Then I tried again the Search tool, I didn't noticed the date range restriction on the first time, now I can see a few threads about that "problem". Although I'm really not satisfied with this "issue", it seems to be this way by design and not a bug.

It means that you'll either have to use the Adobe DNG converter and convert your RAW files to DNG first, or upgrade to CS6, or use Lightroom to export (TIFF) to Photoshop.
I used the DNG converter for years before finally upgrading Photoshop. It was an extra step, but it just became part of my workflow - put card into reader, download RAW files, go grab a beer, batch convert to DNG, drink beer, edit in Photoshop. But had I known about how powerful Lightroom was I would have switched over to LR long before and just used that to export to Photoshop when necessary.

Actually the 7.1 camera raw update covers the D3200, but for whatever reason adobe has denied users of pse 10 that update.
Maybe it will still be released, but to me something else seems to be up, because in the past the latest version of elements (at least on windows) was always updated
to the latest version of camera raw at the same time photoshop was.
In the meantime you could download the 7.1 DNG converter to convert your files to dng copies which will then open in pse 10.

I know this stinks, but other than using the camera makers or aftermarket raw programs (lightroom), that's the best i can suggest for now.

Could you repost the error-message that you see in Adobe Reader? The problem might be because of a known bug in Microsoft SharePoint server 2010. Certain required field types are missing in the German/French site templates which cause a SOAP request on the server to fail. A workaround is to add these field types to the library. You could add these fields manually or using a script. You could look for following field types which might be missing from the site template.

You would need at least CS3 with ACR 4.6 to natively edit NEFs from a D90 in PS:

It might also work to use the DNG Converter 4.6 or newer to convert the NEF files to DNGs and then those might open in your older CS2 ACR, but I’m not sure, since it’s a 9 year old program I haven’t used in years.

Hi all. I am fairly new to android programming. I am trying to use the CreativeSDK, specifically the image editing portion. I have been trying to follow the steps at the following link: Adobe Creative SDK
I first edit my settings.gradle file and then sync... This works with no error.
I then go on to edit my build.gradle (making sure i edit the modular file). After editing it, I get prompted with "sync project," to which I accept. I then get the following error:
"error:configuration with name 'default' not found."
May someone please guide me or tell me what I should do or what I should read.

FYI, the file is a photographic panorama based on several .CR2 photos taken in July, 2012 and processed in CS5's camera RAW/Photoshop. Beyond the metadata, here are no fonts or text in the file.
1. I changed Maximize ...File Capability from "Never" to "Always" and the flattened file saved and loaded OK, though I can't figure why given Adobe's description of this option. "If you work with PSD and PSB files in older versions of Photoshop or applications that don’t support layers, you can add a flattened version of the image to the saved file...". The file saved in this manner is ~8% larger and is not my preference as a routine since I've TB's of photo files. By the way, out of thousands of .psd/.psb files, the one being discussed is the first to give me the error.
2. I've tried saving/reloading the file on another computer with Win XP Sp3/CS5...again with Maximize Capability OFF. Same problem. Turn ON Maximize Capability and it works. As with the Win 8 machine, Bridge could neither create a thumbnail or read Metadata.
3. I've purged the Bridge Cache, made sure there were no old PS page files, reset PS preferences, and disabled my 2 plugins with no change in the problem. Windows and Adobe progs are all updated. Saving to a different HDD has no effect.
The problem occurs on 2 computers (Win XP/Win 8), two versioins of Photoshop (CS5/CS6), and "Maximize" On/Off togles the problem. My guess it is a bug in PSD processing routines.
If I can't find a fix, will keep with Maximize ON and deal with the larger files that result...the cost of insurance, I suppose.

Photoshop cs3 displays long 'open with' name

Photoshop works fine, this is merely a cosmetic change.
But, if I right click a file and choose "open with", photoshop displays an unusually long name. "Adobe Photoshop CS3 (10.0 (10.0x2...480 2007/03/21:16:39:00 cutoff; m branch]))"
The rest of the CS3 suit is working (and displaying) fine.
I had the CS2 suit installed previous to CS3 and have left the CS2 installation alone (I did not delete it) Oddly, photoshop cs2 is also having the same problem. Though both versions of illustrator display fine.
Any help would be appreciated!

That is how it is if you right/Control click in the Finder; but you won't see the long name if you open the files from within Bridge.
There is a Haxie that can get round this if it really worries you.
It has been discussed here previously and if you run a Search for this Forum it might show up.

If you use the inbuilt email option your NEFs would be automatically converted to Jpeg, in accordance with the settings you choose bottom left of the email dialog box (or you can setup your own specific settings).
Alternatively you could export to Jpeg, then attach the exported files to an email outside Lightroom.
Or you could upload them to a web hosting site such as Flickr or Picasa, or maybe use Dropbox or similar.
Bottom line is there are lots of ways of sharing your pictures with your family.

Unfortunately, CS4 does not support the Nikon D7000. You'll have to download the Adobe DNG converter (links below) to process RAW files from your camera.
