DAC load failed.

Hi,
Ours is still BI 10g with DAC 7.9.6. We have a execution plan scheduled which extracts data from source files to load staging thru informatica and eventually final target tables. On holidays there is no business done, so NO input file is sent...hence execution plan is failed and caused other scheduled jobs after this on hold. Can anyone suggest on any possible solution to make them all run smoothly. Placing empty files is not an option by client.

Couple of ways to handle this; Try to go for command that would check for the file, if file not existing then try to create a file with contents 0 for all columns.
Other way is by adding decison object etc

But when ever the incremental lod is run , i am getting the below error and the task fails(The SDE load completes sucessfully , but the SIL load fails with the below error).

Windows 8.1 SOFTWARE registry hive load failed on Windows Server 2012

Hello,
I am participated in custom Windwows Software backup/restore project development that requires load of Windows SOFTWARE/SYSTEM registry hives from target OS system drive connected to Windows system.
On all Windows version except Windows 8.1 program works correctly but when host system (on that programm run on) is Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8 and target system is Windows 8.1 registry hive load failed with following error:
Failed to load f:\Windows\System32\config\software: [1009] The configuration registry database is corrupt.
After run of 'chkdsk /r' error still remained. All requred security privileges (SE_BACKUP, SE_RESTORE) are applied. All systems are 64-bit.
Generally even system registry editor (regedit) could not open SOFTWARE hive from Windows 8.1 with following error:
Cannot Load f:\Windows\System32\config\software: Error while loading hive.
But when host system is Windows 7 or Windwos Server 2008 then SOFTWARE hive loaded without any problem.
So is there some Windows 8/8.1 registry hives validation mechanism or additional security checks tha prevents load of registry hives fromother OS instance?

The procMon tool shows RegLoadKey is failed when it tried to load the hive on Windows 8.1 (8.1 based WinPE also). On Windows 7, I didn't see the error (Shows Success instead of REGISTRY CORRUPT). Once the hive is load & unloaded on Windows 7 OS, the
check sum of the hive is changed, and I can load the updated hive with regedit in Windows 8.1 OS.

Procurement load fails with socket error in biapps 11.1.1.7.1

While performing a procurement load via CM, my load is getting failed with one of the mapping SDE_ORA_RequisitionlinescostFact and below is the error that is occurring.

ODI-1227: Task SrcSet0 (Loading) fails on the source ORACLE connection OLTP.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: No more data to read from socket
Hence im using my Target db as 11.2.0.3.0.
What could be the exact reason behind this issue.

Data load failed while loading data from one DSO to another DSO..

Hi,
On SID generation data load failed while loading data from Source DSO to Target DSO.
Following are the error which is occuuring--

Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT, InfoObject 0BBP
So, i'm not getting WHY in one DSO i.e Source it got successful but in another DSO i.e. Target its got failed??
While analyzing all i check that SIDs Generation upon Activation is ckecked in source DSO but not in Target DSO..so it is reason its got failed??

Hi,
I hope your data flow has been designed in such a way where the 1st DSO as a staging Device and all transformation rules and routine are maintained in between 1st to 2nd dso and sid generation upon activation maintained in 2nd DSO. By doing so you will be getting your data 1st DSO same as your source system data since you are not doing any transformation rules and routine etc.. which helps to avoid data load failure.
Please analyze the following
Have you loaded masterdata before transaction data ... if no please do it first
go to the property of first dso and check whether there maintained sid generation up on activation (it may not be maintained I guess)
Goto the property of 2nd Dso and check whether there maintained sid generation up on activation (It may be maintained I hope)
this may be the reason.
Also check whether there is any special char involvement in your transaction data (even lower case letter)

I suspect that the fields having subtype 3 just before the garbled columns is a clue, but not sure what to replace with or adjust.
Any and all help mighty appreciated.

Package load Failed! Invalid package Title, manifest file cannot be found

Greetings. I am new to UPK and am seeking guidance on an upgrade to 11.1.
A little background on what we are trying to do:
We have two machines:
Windows 2003 machine in domain 'X' | UPK 11.0.0.1.
Windows 2008 R2 virtual machine in domain 'Y' | UPK 11.0 on the new machine first, install the 11.0.0.1 patch, and then upgrade to 11.1.
We are using the same database as the old machine. Developer Server is Standard Authentication, Knowledge Center is Windows authentication.

So far we have installed 11.1 with the respective database upgrades, but are lost as to how to migrate the old Content Root data. We have copied all the content to the new Content Root, added it to IIS like the old machine, and verified that the UPK database Content Root path is correct and working.
For the rest of the post, I am remoted into the server from my local workstation, and then using IE to access KCenter on the server's FQDN, not via localhost.
Since I am green, so I presumed that I would need to import the titles under Manager in KCenter. I zipped each content folder individually (they are named "1", "9", etc), and then attempted to import each zip file.
NOTE: At this stage sometimes we are prompted to authenticate again. When it does, sometimes the credentials that we know work, get rejected and we are prompted again. This will repeat until we get a 401 and we have to start over. We have verified that the Windows account currently in session with the site is valid and has administrator authority within KC.
NOTE2: On the first few tries, .NET complained that maxRequestLength was not large enough. I had our servers team increase it on the actual server in order for us to proceed.
Provided we don't have to authenticate again, or that it actually accepts our credentials, we get to the 30% mark and then receive the error: *"Package load Failed! Invalid package Title, manifest file cannot be found"*
Does anyone have any wisdom for this process? The title importation section in the deployment manual is not helping, and the administrator from whom I am taking over this software has not had to deal with this before.

Hi Marc, thanks for the post,
I have gone through an extensive troubleshooting process with Oracle, including their development team, in order to fully complete our project setup. As a supplemental bit of information, we also were having connection errors when attempting to publish directly to the knowledge center.
As far as the context of this post, here is the solution in brief:
1) Verify that the package being imported was published from the same version of the Developer Client as the Knowledge Center installation's.
2) Check for database consistency issues. In our case we were using a database that was built in another domain. After numerous attempts with Oracle support on the line to determine the inconsistency, it was decided to completely reinstall and build a new database from scratch in the new domain.
3) Check application pool identities and access (while we had some inconsistencies here, correcting them did not change the behavior of the import/publish errors)
In review, a lot of what we had setup was correct. Our primary point of failure, we feel, was using the old database. Technically this should not have been a problem, but Murphy likes to get his way sometimes.

The error code and error message in the workflow monitor says:
Message Code: VAR_27028
Message: Use override value [F06.MCRP16] for mapping parameter:[mplt_BC_SDE_JDE_InternalOrganization_BusinessUnits.$$FLEX_ATTRIB_10_CHAR].
Some how it is overridng all the values so please let me know what i can do.

We cannot know. We need the exact crash info and at least some system specs. Refer to this:
Working with your Operating System’s Tools
That aside, if you ran a system restore, the install would be busted from stem to stern. Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and try again. If it still doesn't work, we need install logs.

The odbc driver doesn't seem to like the special character "$" int eh table name.
Why is the C$ table being created on through the odbc driver. You cannot have non-sql technology for staging. Making the staging area different than target should help in your case.

Standard report throws the error - 'LOAD FAILED, INTERNAL ERROR'

Hi there,
When i run lead origin report or any other standard report, the error says 'LOAD FAILED, INTERNAL ERROR' as mentioned in screen shot. The same i checked in QA server too and error analysis says ''define the correct currency default is EURO''
All the standard reports has the same problem.

I am totally new to ASP.NET and I have developed a web application in VS2005 (VB) and Crystal report 10. I am getting an error u201CReport Load Failedu201D when I run report from main page linked to report viewer page (url) but it works fine when I run report viewer page directly (view in browser from VS2005. Here is my code:

Hi Don,
Thanks for the reply. I had downloaded a set of samples from SAP and I have looked through a few of the set you supplied. I am worried that I'm going to have some trouble because the samples have the reports loaded as part of the solution but I was looking to create a more generic viewer. I don't want to have to reprogram for each and every report that is created. That is why I was trying to use the generic parameter dialog. After the Report Load Failed dialog comes up, it does bring up the parm dialog and hits SQL Server just fine. Yes...the reports are passing Parms to Stored Procs in SQL Server. The report has default parameter values.
What I am trying to do is search thru the application folder and gather the names of the reports located there and fill the combo box with the names of the reports. Then the user should just be able to select a report and run it. I can't save the data in the reports because they must be ran per the requester's date range and other desired parameters.
Does this seem valid or am I going to have to program for EVERY single report and reprogram/recompile for every report added? Not particularly what I want to hear. I would have used the standard Crystal Report Viewer and had the users use that but it doesn't seem to allow you refresh the data from the viewer.

DAC, ETL failed due to Post-Etl Script not exist and table not exist.

When execute the ETL in DAC, it failed when execute the "Change Capture For Siebel OLTP"
encounterred the following two type errors.
how to fix these errors?

Load fail Stretagy in OWB

Hi experts
I m worry about load fail strategy in OWB. I want to handle it.
Ex: suposse i am loading 100 records in my target table .And my load is fail in middle at the 90th record then my execution will be fail and none record will be insert. But i want to be that the 89 record should be inserted and when i run my mapping next time the mapping should start from 90th record.

Hi,
if you configure your mapping with setbased failover to rowbased the mapping will load the 99 correct records. But he next execution of the mapping starts at the beginning and will insert the 99 correct records too - so you must have a logic to avoid duplicates (like insert/update).
You have the problem that at the next mapping execution the incorrect record ist also incorrect and the mapping is not able to load him until you correct him.
The only possible logic is:
1.) Load the 99 records into the table with your existing mapping.
2.) Configure the target table and the existing mapping to create a shadow table where the mapping puts in the one defect record at runtime automatically.
3.) Create another mapping which reads out of the shadow table and automatically corrects the record, loading it into the target at the end or
3a) Create a mapping that loads records from the shadow table and doesn't correct the record, loading it into the target at the end. Correct the record manually in the shadow table before.
Run existing mapping first, mapping 3 or 3a after it.
