Daily query

Is there a way I can create something like a trigger but the query should be ran every day morning?
I mean, we can have a trigger to run when something is inserted or deleted and send an email.. but I don't want one email for each new data updated in the table... I want just one email being send to user in the end of the day.
Not sure if I was clear, if not, let me know.
Thanks,
Leandro Takeda

Hi Friend
Could you Please answer these questions
1.Which version of oracle are you using and platform details?
2.Trigger is associated with DML. Do you really want to have DML Everyday morning.
3.Do you have only one user to whom e-mail has to be reach upto the last mint change. Before scheduler / DBMS_Jobs starts
Please confirm
Are you looking for integrated changes on a particular table for the last day which should connected via email integration setup.
Thanks

  • Export query result on sap directories

    Hi,
I need to export daily query result on a sap directory.
I can't use open hub because the file is made of restricted key figures, and calculated key figures.
Which functionality in  BI7 should i use to manage this issue? Should i use specific code?
    Thanks for your help,

    Hey Arvind,
I'm working on a how-to guide for this. It's a work in progress, so it's not on SDN yet. Here's a draft...

  • Improve Query Suggestions Load time

How can I improve load time for Pre Query Suggestions on search home page when user start typing ??
I notice it was slow in loading when I hit first time in the morning so I try to warm up by adding
    ""http://SiteName/_api/search/suggest?querytext='sharepoint' ""
in to warm up script but even during the day time after hitting few times it is slower some times . Any reason ?
Do you think moving Query Component to WFE will do any help here?
Pleas let me know - Thanks .

    Hi,
Query Suggestions should work at a high level overview is:
    • You issue a query within a Search Center site and get results..
    • When you hover over or click a result.. this gets stored as a “RecordPageClick” method and will be stored in the Web Applications W3WP process…
    • Every five minutes ( I believe ) this W3WP will flush these Recorded Page Clicks and pass them over to the Search Proxy…
    • This will then store them in a table in the SSA ( Search Service Application ) Admin DB
    • By default, once a day, there is a timer job, Prepare Query Suggestions, that will run
    • It does a check to see if the same term has been queried for and clicked at least 6 times and then will move them to another table in the same DB..
    • If there are successful queries\clicks > 6 times for a term, and they move to the appropriate table, then when you start to type a word, like “share”
    • This will fire a “method” over to the Search proxy servers called “GetQuerySuggestions” and will check that Admin DB to see if they have any matches..
    • If so, then it will show up in your Search Box as like “SharePoint” for a suggestion…
Other components involved with the Query Suggestions:
    Timer Jobs
    Prepare query suggestions                   Daily
Query Classification Dictionary Update for Search Application Search Service Application       Minutes
    Query Logging                    Minutes
    Database
MSSQLogQuerySuggestion (SearchDB)  This gets cleaned up when we run the timer job
MSSQLogQueryString (SearchDB)  Info on the Query String
MSSQLogSearchCounts (SearchDB)  Info on the click counts
MSSQLogQuerySuggestion Looks like this may be where the hits for suggestions are stored
So the issue might related to timer job, database, connection between SharePoint server and SQL server. There is  a similar case caused by DistributedCache.
If you move query component on to another sever, this may improve the process related to Search service, however, it may affect the performance due to networking.
Please collect verbose ULS log per steps below:
Enable Verbose logging via Central Admin> Monitoring> Reporting>Configure diagnostic logging(You can simply set all the categories with Verbose level and I can filter myself).
Reproduce the issue(Try to remove SSRS).
Record the time and get a capture of the error message(including the correlation ID if there is). Collect the log file which is by default located in the folder:  <C:\Program files\common files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\15\LOGS>.
    Stop verbose logging.

  • Updating records in Salesforce is taking a few days

I am the Salesforce Administrator trying to work with our SAP Data Services team, they have installed the SAP Data Services with Salesforce adaptor, inserting records is rather quick, however when trying to perform an update of 400,000 records or so it is taking 4-5 days. We are would like to eventually get a daily update from the our data warehouse as it collects information from six or seven different locations into Salesforce, we have on average 150,000 records a day that will be updated.
My SAP team is saying that the only thing that they can do is to run a daily query in the data warehouse for all the updates into Salesforce and put them into a CSV file for me to manually place. This seems a bit laborious to do when I would think it can be done automatically. Does the SFDC adaptor use the Bulk API to update records that I can enable so that it speeds it up? I have tried to get the SAP team to look into it more but all they will say is "On a daily basis, we can provide a single file with all the rows that need updating to the Salesforce team, but they will have to figure out how to divide the file into 10,000 row chunks, get them parsed into separate files and uploaded into Salesforce as this is not something that the data warehouse team does."
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to mention that we are using Version 4.0

  • Query for daily sales by warehouse

    Hi
I need a query for   Daily sales by warehouse.  I am only new to this and struggling with generating.
ideally it will look like the below.     With no selection criteria as I would like to schedule the report to email out at the end of each day.
    Warehouse      Revenue      GP          GP%
    NSW               $xxxx             $xxx       35%
    Would someone mind helping
    thanks

thankyou ,   But i have multiple warehouse and i dont want to use a selection criteria.
to expand on the original example
    Warehouse      Revenue      GP          GP%
    NSW                 $xxxx             $xxx           35%
    QLD                  $xxx               $xx            32%
    VIC                  $xxx               $xx            32%
Also the results should only show figures for the day the query is executed
    Any help is appreciated.
Similar layout to this, except using query and whs code.    the below is generated using sales analysis and customer group.

  • BI Publisher: Issue while scheduling the report/query to be executed daily

    Hi,
We are using Oracle Business Intelligence 11.1.1.6.3 and while we schedule a report(RTF Template) we are facing issue. We use bursting query and when we select option to execute immediately it runs fine and sends notifications,it also executes when we schedule it to run Once but fails when i schedule the report to be executed DAILY .

    hii
The query does not includes any RKF, CKF any complex calculations. as I said before also query is based on MP which is designed on a single Cube. There are no such navigational Attributes used for selection, Number of records are not more than 300 on that particular selection parameter
there is only one info object which is creating issue & it is a master info object. If i am restricting this info object in the query & then executes the query , it gives the error msg also i put a variable for input parameter, & there I restrict the value, then also query executes with an error msg
But if query is not restricted with  any value for that info object then query executes with in a second.
    Thanks

  • Unattended Daily Exporting of Query to Flat File

I am VERY new to Oracle and SQL Plus. I've been tasked with automating a query to run unattended daily to export data and store it in a flat file with structured naming convention (CC_MMDDYY.exp). I need to have it be able to an "on demand" query to flat file too. Any help would be appreciated.

search asktom.oracle.com (temporary unavailable right now) for keyword flat file to obtain a procedure to write the result of a given query to a flat file and that's it. You can then schedule it's execution using DBMS_SCHEDULER or execute it on demand.

  • Daily Production Plan query changes

    Dear Experts,
I was tried  to do a daily production plan query,  but i need to add one more feild in the below query, (ie) In sale order Document, Row level feild of Quantity ( RDR1,Quantity) should be in that query,
    SELECT T0.[ItemCode],T1.[ItemName], T0.[PlannedQty] as 'Planned Qty', T0.[DocNum] as 'Doc No', T0.[PostDate], T0.[OriginNum] as 'Sale Order No', T0.[CardCode], T0.[CmpltQty] as 'Completed Qty' FROM OWOR T0 join OITM T1 on T0.Itemcode = t1.ItemCode WHERE T0.[PostDate] >='[%0]' and T0.[PostDate] <='[%1]'
    Plz help me.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Manikandan

    Hello Manikandan,
You can add the sales order into the production order, but you should now: there is no connection defined between sales order lines and production order, only the item code can be used as reference to sales order lines
    I mean:
*if you have the same item in sales order lines in different position the query always multiplies the result. *
So you can join the sales order header for Origin Number and DocNum, and sales order lines by Itemcode
    SELECT
T0.[ItemCode],T1.[ItemName], T0.[PlannedQty] as 'Planned Qty', T0.[DocNum] as 'Doc No', T0.[PostDate],
T0.[OriginNum] as 'Sale Order No', T0.[CardCode], T0.[CmpltQty] as 'Completed Qty',
T3.[Quantity] [Sales order Qty], T3.LineNum [Sales order Postion]
    FROM
         OWOR T0 join OITM T1 on T0.Itemcode = t1.ItemCode
         left outer join ORDR T2 on T0.[OriginNum] = T2.[DocNum]
         left outer join RDR1 T3 on T2.[DocEntry] = T3.[DocEntry] and T3.[ItemCode] = T0.[ItemCode]
    WHERE T0.[PostDate] >='[%0]' and T0.[PostDate] <='[%1]'

  • Daily Scheduling Query

    Hi
I have a daily job, that runs several Warehouse Builder processes, scheduled to run at 2am each day. Normally this should complete by 9am, however if there are any performance issues, there is risk that the job may still be running at 2am the following day.
If this situation occurs, would the first job which started on a Monday 2am still carry on running until complete and then start the Tuesday job (even if later than Tuesday 2am). Or would the Monday job be killed on Tuesday 2am, and then the Tuesday 2am job start?
I realise I could create a window, however since the OWB processes will carry on running in the background, I do want all jobs to complete before moving onto the following day.
Can anyone help with this please?
    Thanks
    GB

    Hello Mark...
Amer is right. You can create a broadcast setting to daily sends your
    query as MHTML format.
You can send to your e-mail but there is a possibility to save on KM and CM repository.
There is a little explanation on the link below:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/5c6b686a-0901-0010-8aab-c4d0e5a093a7?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
To create a broadcast setting, open the query via Query Designer.
Click "Query" -> "Publish" -> "BEx Broadcaster"
While you are creating the broadcast, there is a "Output Format" option.
    There is MHTML.
I hope you find this information useful.
    Thanks
    Edward

  • How to store data from a complex query and only fresh hourly or daily?

We have a report which runs quite slow (1-2 minutes) because the query is quite complicate, so we would like to run this query daily only and store in a table so for those procedures that need to use this complex query as a subquery, can just join to this table directly to get results.
However, I am not sure what kind of object I should use to store data for this complex query. Is data in global temp table only persist within transaction? I need something that can persist the data and be access by procedures.
    Any suggestions are welcome,
    Cheers

Thank you for your reply. I looked at the materialized view earlier on, but have some difficulties to use it. So I have some questions here:
1.The complex query is not a sum or aggregate functions, it just need to get data from different tables based on different conditions, in this case is it still appropriate to use meterialized view?
2.If it is, I created one, but how to use it in my procedure? From the articles I read, it seems I can't just query from this view directly. So do I need to keep the complex query in my procedure and how the procedure will use the meterialized view instead?
    3. I also put the complex query in a normal view, then create a materialized view for this normal view (I expect the data from the complex query will be cache here), then in the procedure I just select * from my_NormalView, but it takes the same time to run even when I set the QUERY_REWRITE_ENABLED to true in the alter session. So I am not sure what else I need to do to make sure the procedure use the materialized view instead of the normal view. Can I query from the Materialized View directly?
Below in the code I copied from one of the article to create the materialized view based on my normal view:
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW HK3ControlDB.MW_RIRating
    PCTFREE 5 PCTUSED 60

  • Daily Export of a Query

I am VERY new to Oracle and SQL Plus. I've been tasked with automating a query to run unattended daily to export data and store it in a flat file with structured naming convention (CC_MMDDYY.exp). I need to have it be able to an "on demand" query to flat file too. Any help would be appreciated.

You should further specify and break down your goals in at least two tasks, one for the export and the other for the ascii dump (that's what it seems to be your goal), and don't expect to get the 'magic' script from the forum.
In order for you to be able to get ascii dumps from a table you should be able to master the SET commands in sqlplus CLI so this tool can SPOOL the output to an ascii text file without 'garbage' in a tabular format, or in a variable size record format.
Next you should schedule it, if you are on unix by means of cron, and if you are on windows by means of the windows scheduler.
