DAQmx Stop Task error -50550

Hi,
I'm occasionally encountering error -50550 while attempting to stop an AI Task; though its occurrence is sporadic:
LabVIEW Error Details:
Error Code: -50550
Source: DAQmx Stop Task.vi:3 Task Name: AllAI
Description: Error -50550 occurred at DAQmx Stop Task.vi:3 Possible reason(s): A synchronization object was not acquired within the time limit. The operation could not be completed as specified. Task Name: AllAI
The way I've currently written my VI, I'm creating an AI voltage task with a sampling rate of 1k and buffer size of 50k. I start the task use the daqmx read in a while loop until I reach a threshold, and then fall out of the loop and stop the task.
I'm using LabVIEW 8, DAQmx 8 on WinXP.
Anyone have any idea of the cause or cure?

Unfortunately, I do not have many ideas about that error. Can you post the portion of your code that demonstrates this error so that I can try to see it? Also, how often do you see this error? It sounds like it is not every time that you run the program.

Buffered analog output puts out additional sample on aborting or stopping task

I'm using DAQmx and LV 8.2
I'm doing a buffered analog output operation where the sample clock is driven by pulses from ctr0 on the same device (PXI-6070E). When I end the analog output task, either with the DAQmx stop task or DAQmx control task (abort option selected), the AO puts out one additional point from the buffer. (I have checked by setting breakpoints and stepping through the code that the additional point is definitely generated when the analog ouput task is aborted)
I need the output to remain where it was before the stop task command is issued. How do I fix this?

I'm watching to see if there hasn't been a sample output in a certain length of time, then terminating the task if there hasn't been. Specifically, I have ctr0 outputting pulses to drive the task based on input from the AnalogComparisonEvent terminal. I'm using a counter on a different PXI device to count the number of pulses and monitoring this count to determine if another sample has been output. I'm outputting the ctr0 pulse to PFI3 as well, and I'm monitoring both the ctr0 output (which drives the ao clock) and the analog output itself on an oscilloscope.
Basically I'm sitting in a while loop waiting for the monitoring counter to fail to increment. Then I terminate the while loop and stop the analog output task. I can watch the analog output on the oscilloscope while I step through the program. Immediately before the daqmx control task - abort (or daqmx stop if I don't abort first, or daqmx clear, if I don't abort or stop) vi runs, the analog output remains outputting the last sample. Immediately after the abort, stop, or clear, the analog output advances one sample in the buffer.
During this time, ctr0 does not output another pulse, so the scan clock should not advance.

reinstalled drivers, attempted to start NI configuration mgr and Device loader but they are immediately stopped- disabled anti virus, etc. help?

There are a few things we can try to troubleshoot error 229771. This error can occur if NI services are not running and occurs when LabVIEW tries to communicate to these non-running services. It can also occur if you have a corrupt MAX database. There are a few things we can try
1. Can you please try verifying if NI services are running?
2. Can you check if you are administrator of your PC?
3. Do you know if DAQmx was installed under an administrator account?
4. Have you tried disabling your firewall?
5. Try removing all DAQ devices, restarting your computer with them removed, shutting down the computer again and connecting them back up.
6. Did you repair your daqmx drivers or reinstall them? It is important to make sure you do a true reinstall (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/ADD22E807D5A12AD862579EC00760F79?OpenDocument) instead of repair which will force overwrite anything from previous installations
7. Try repairing a corrupted MAX database - http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/86256F0E001DA9FF86256FFD005B827C?OpenDocument http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/7FF79722720AEE488625759B0074A2CA?OpenDocument

I am running the attached code Merrit_Coil_calibration, and I get the following error:
Error -200587 occurred at DAQmx Start Task.vi:7
Possible reason(s):
Requested operation could not be performed, because the specified digital lines are either reserved or the device is not present in NI-DAQmx.
It is possible that these lines are reserved by another task, the device is being used through the Traditional NI-DAQ interface, or the device is being reset. You might also get the error if the specified resource is currently in use by LabVIEW network variables bound to the DAQ Channel, or if the DAQ Channel is being used in any OPC Client software.
If you are using these lines with another task, wait for the task to complete. If you are using the device through the Traditional NI-DAQ interface, and you want to use it with NI-DAQmx, reset (initialize) the device using the Traditional NI-DAQ interface. If you are resetting the device, wait for the reset to finish.

Thank you both for your input. I slightly changed my code to Merritt_Coil_calibration (updated code attached) and the first error went away, but now I have a different one which is:
Error -200429 occurred at DAQmx Write (Digital U32 1Chan 1Samp).vi:1
Possible reason(s):
Value passed to the Task/Channels In control is an empty string (or I/O control).
The value must refer to a valid task or valid channels.
As far as what DAQ device I am using, it is the NI USB 6009. I am only using digital port 0. During different pieces of my code I send different values to port 0. I am using this to drive some stepper motors. I thus send square waves on the different pins on port 0. I do not know if this is exactly what you were asking.
Whatever the case, I was wondering if anyone knows why this error occurs and how I could fix it.

Thank you for your detailed question. It sounds like the real issue is pdf files. Are there any antivirus/firewalls that might be blocking this specific file type? or are there any preferences in your control panel that might be blocking this?
Do you have any stored preferences for PDF files in Firefox?

I'm working with a ni-PCI 6251 card. I got the error : Error -229771 occurred at DAQmx Start Task. Possible reasons :Internal sofware error occured in MIG software ... when I'm trying to launch my data acquisition vi. This error was already reported in this post :

I tried to reinstall DAQmx as explained in the post but it unfurtunatly it did'nt fix my issue.
I've notice the following points :
1. This error appears randomly, after several reboots the vi will finally run without error
2. The error only appears when the vi is included in project

DaqMX - Access TDMS dt and timestamp Before "Stop Task" is called

When using DaqMX to store sampled data to a TDMS file, how can I access the Start Time and dt? Is there a property Node, etc I can read from? The TDMS file does not include the datestamp and dt until AFTER the "Stop Task" is called (looks like another Labview bug), and I need to view it while the task is still running. See attached

I suppose I should clarify... So our application generates the TDMS file during functional test; the TDMS file is to be used for troubleshooting reasons only when a failure occurs. When we get a failure during functional test, the requirement is that the software pauses on failure. When this happens, we need to be able to open the TDMS file to look at various signals to see how they behaved during functional test to help us arrive at the Root Caue. The issue is that until the "DAQmx Close Task" VI is called, Labview does not store the To and DT information in the TDMS file (not sure why this is, appears to be a bug). Since we cannot terminate the functional test due to our Pause on Failure requirement, when we look at the TDMS file for debug purposes, it shows the timestamp starting in the year 1903, and it inferrs a DT of 1 second, rather than 10ms. This is very embarrassing to show to the customer.
It's obvious that Labview knows the DT and To, but only chooses to write it to the TDMS file when we Close the task. Any insight? TDMS files are made to be viewable while Labview is writing to them, but waiting until the end to store the Timing information is a Huge drawback to using them with DAQmx...

Stand-Alone application with LabView 7.0 getting error can't find DAQmx clear task.vi

I have attempted to create a stand alone vi with the Build Application or Shared Library(dll) in LabVeiw 7.0
When I put it on another PC to test it I get the error "can't find DAQmx clear task.vi"
the other PC has Labview 7.0 and DAQmx 8.1 also.
I believe my problem is in the source tab where you are supposed to add support and dynamic vi's I have search the forums and Ni's data base and have not found a solution.

When you run the executable on the other computer is when you get this error? Do you have the exact same versions of LabVIEW and DAQmx on both computers? Does the dialog allow you to navigate to the DAQmx clear task.vi? If so, you can find these VIs in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.0\vi.lib\DAQmx\configure\task.llb. Does the executable work on the development machine (the machine it was compiled on)?

Does multiple instances of DAQmx start task result in error?

I am trying to read voltages from pressure transducers and LVDTs in two separate While Loops. But when running the program there is an error regarding DAQmx Start Task.vi. So I was wondering if multiple instances of DAQmx Start task results in error. I have attached the vi.

Thank you for the reply. New to Labview so I didn't know that we had to search using the error code, I tried searching using text though. Will do that from the next time, thanks.
I do not have the problem with the write tasks but only with the read tasks. Right now I have one start task for all the input from the pressure transducers and LVDTs and three start tasks for the three analogue outputs and the program seems to run fine.

Static task Error -200428

I am using Labview 8.2 with an AI Input card 9215 on CDaq 9172. The application uses a static task to read the voltage(displacement).
The app works fine, except when the app is closed(using the x in the top RH corner), then restarted I get the error -200428 at DAQmx Start Task.Vi(Value passed to the task/Channel is invalid). The only fix is to restart the PC.
I have checked that the Stop Task VI is called when the app closes. I have tried resetting the Daq device using Max but it makes no difference.
I believe there is some problem in my code closing the task properly, hence the need to restart the PC to release task resources.
Any suggestions ?

Enclosed a simple Vi that demonstrates the installed app. I have used a simulated CDaq device (identical to the customer cDaq)on my development PC and the simple VI works fine(both built as an exe and just running the VI on the development PC). The static task is identical to the task on the production app that is giving problems

Sapinst stops with error while installing ess component for Java AS

We are installing a ABAP/Java AS development system and sapinst has gone through 75% of all execution tasks nicely,
but then stopped with error while deploying components for the Java AS:

Thanks Désirée for your answer and apologies for the late update on this one.
This issue is resolved now, the reason for the error was a lack of memory which probably triggered a timeout in sapinst. After upgrading the memory to 7GB and re-starting the ABAP+Java AS and resuming sapinst everything went through fine. However, this was hard to spot because the logs wouldn't tell you about the lack of memory but about everything else!

Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 has stopped working error

Hello guys,
I have recently built a new computer with the following specs:
CPU: 4790k (stock speed)
Ram: Team Extreem 16 GB (2x8) (at 2400mhz)
Motherboard: Asus Ranger 7
GPU: Zotac 780ti Amp edition
Storage: 250SSD Samsung evo + Barracuda 1TB
PSU: 850 G2 EVGA
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional
All drivers are up to date.
So I have installed the creative cloud and then proceeded to install the applications in the following order: Media Encoder, Photoshop and Premiere Pro CC. Both media and photoshop have no problems but premiere pro CC crashes upon clicking on it.
I would click on the premiere pro CC button and the premiere pro loading screen will pop up but then the 'has stopped working error' will happen immediately.
I need to get this problem solved within the next couple of days because I need it for a very important video project. If this problem cannot be fixed in the next 2 days I will, unfortunately, have to refund my subscription with adobe (still within 28 days) and use Cyberlink or Vegas.
I tried searching the forums and google but haven't found a solution that works for me. Could someone please lend a hand?

Based on the Java trouble shooting guide 'error 2150' indicates that a core service failed to start. http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/(JSTTSG)(Kernel)ExitCodes. Based on the threads below it could be Oracle listener related.

J2EE Engine Stopped with Error 11113

Hi All,
After I changed some values in the Portal UME to connect to ECC 6.0, after the restart of cluster the J2EE is not coming up and getting stopped with Error 11113.
I have changed the Datasource to ABAP and tried resetting the values in Configtool as per the previous threads in the forum but could not get my J2EE engine up.

Hi Karthik,
I have checked all the UME properties and are fine. I am trying to connect to ECC 6.0 Clnt 800 with Communication user I created called "portaluser" and the pwd along with system number and application host.
I tried giving all the details in Configtool > Ume properties but again the same problem J2EE is getting stopped with the same error.
About the SAPJSF user, it has been created while installation as a Dailog user in the EP system. I logged into the EP system and checked that in SU01. It there but not as a communication user but as a Dialog user.
Can you let me know what could be the issue ?

Create Task Error

Users are getting a Create Task Error. This occurs when a User tries to submit the init form multiple times without actually going and filling the Forms that is assigned to them when the Init form is submitted..Anyone faced a similiar issue and has trouble shooted it. Please Share

DAQmx Base is a completely different driver than DAQmx. You cannot install DAQmx Base and use DAQmx functions. When you create the installer, select DAQmx to include as one of the 'Additional Installers'
Actually, I get the feeling that you totally skipped over creating an installer. This is an option when you right click on 'Build Specifications' and is something you should have noticed when you created the exe.
