hi, i'm in a Statistic class end i need to use data analysis tool pack for my exam, but my and old versions of office don't have this add component. it's possible to download that component by web?
thank you so much ....i'm desperate!!!

    Pat,
No there is not.  If you know the problem you can, however, use sliders to "sweep" values and perform the operation yourself.  You can format a cell as a slider by selecting the cell(s) then using the cell formatter:

  • IPad Excel Data Analysis Function

    Hello there,
I am stuck with a question no one seems able to answer- I've tried all three of our local Apple stores and they haven't been able to tell me. I also don't know any iPad users that have been able to give me an answer either.
I have been using a 5S and am very familiar with the functionality of Numbers and Pages. However, I'm a finance student and the fact of the matter is that I have to have access to Excel. I've invested YEARS and thousands of dollars into the iOS ecosystem and I'm very torn over what to do next. I'm hoping to migrate permanently from a laptop to a tablet for my productivity, which involves extremely heavy duty (5+ hours daily) word processing and spreadsheet creation. Pages handles the job just fine, but Numbers isn't really cutting it; Excel is simply the de facto standard in my line of work. I was pleased as punch when Microsoft finally launched Office for iOS. If the simple functions were all I needed, my choice would be open and shut. However, it's not. I must have access to the Solver and Data Analysis toolpaks. This is where it gets tricky. I have been told by Mac users running Excel that data analysis is not natively supported as it is on a Windows machine. Fine. However, no one I know is using full Office through iOS and no one at the Apple Store has been able to answer me definitively on this, either. Does anyone out there know first hand if the Data Analysis and Solver toolpaks are available on iOS version of Office? I would like to avoid fussing around with another tablet (quality, etc) and the fact that iOS is the only mobile operating suite where I can seemlessly blend Google, Apple and Microsoft, I am really, really, really hesitant to leave it. I am not willing to shell out the money for Office on iOS and run it on my phone (though I love that idea) just to find that it won't do data analysis (I'm all for experiments but that's a bit pricey for a student). Thanx for your time.
TL:DR, does the new Microsoft Office for iOS provide Solver and Data Analysis toolpaks in Excel?

I know what the toolpaks are (in the Mac version of Excel they're referred to as "add ins"), and again, I can find no evidence that Microsoft supports toolpaks/add-ins in Excel for iPad.
If you wish to confirm this with other users, I'd suggest you ask in the Excel for iPad forum:

  • MS Excel Data Analysis toolpak question

Attempted to add data analysis toolpak to MS Excel using MS Office 2004 for Mac.
However, when I attempt to load/add the program, a folder is added containing Data Analysis is listed but "Data Analysis" does not show up in my MS Excel "Tools" tab.
Probably an easy fix. Any assistance is appreciated - thanks.

Yes I have the 2004 MS Office for Mac installed. However, I cannot confirm that the add in has been loaded when using Excel.
The procedure that I am using:
    1. With MS Excel open, I go into the "Tools" tab and select "Add-ins"
    2. The "Add-ins" sub-box opens and I check the desired utilities, in this case Analysis Toolbox and I hit the "Select" button.
    3. Next another sub-box opens entitled, "Choose an Add-in". With the MS Office CD in I scroll oven until I locate the sub-folder "Analysis Tools" which opens up four additional options: Analysis ToolPak, Analysis ToolPak - VBA, FuncRes, and ProcDBRes. I select Analysis ToolPak and then "Open".
    4. I receive a pop up message, "Copy Analysis ToolPak to the Add-ins folder?" I select "yes" .
    5. Thinking that the process has been completed, I go back to the MS Excel worksheet, select "Tools" tab and Data Analysis is not there.

  • Does Numbers have a Data Analysis function similar to "Goal Seek" in Excel?

Does Apple's Numbers application have a Data Analysis function similar to the "Goal Seek" function in Excel?

No, Numbers doesn't have Goal Seek or anything like it.
You can set up Slider controls to facilitate playing with key variables in your expressions, but Numbers doesn't have any capability to make the adjustments itself.

  • Analysis for Microsoft Excel as a Data Source

    Hello,
Is there a way to connect to Advance Analysis as a data source to the Excel worksheet in Dashboard?
I am a beginner user for SAP Dashboard. Currently I run a mtd, and ytd report through Analysis and then copy and paste the information to Dashboard. Is there a way to automate this process?
    Thank you,
    Trish

As Josh said, Its not possible to do that, there are many ways to can take the BW Query to dashboards, which makes your life simple in integrating reports into the dashboards.
You can use the below methods to intergrate.
    1. Query Browser.
    2. SAP BW netweaver Connections.
    3. BW query --> BICS(Connections) --> webi -- > QWAAS(Connections)
    4. BW query --> BICS(Connections) --> webi -- > Live Office(Connections).
    Hope this Helps!!!

  • Data analysis using EXCEL

    Oracle Community
I belong to the Oracle Bandwagon since the last 12 years. Always carried out data analysis by using Oracle SQL using tools like PL/SQL developer, SQL PLUS etc, but since the time I have started using EXCEL and drawing data using ODBC, I'm amazed at the power of EXCEL.
Does Oracle have any tools similar to EXCEL ?
    Thanks

NagErm.... yes... I have EXCEL too. Amazing that isn't it. :)
However, for pure data crunching you can't beat good old SQL. Full of powerful analytical functionality and the more recent MODEL clause, both of which allow you to reference 'other' rows of data for 'cross cell' calculation. Fast and powerful without the need to involve the limits of ODBC, Windows o/s, or exporting of data to a 3rd party tool and writing something in a completely different language.
May I ask though? What is the point of your question?

I would like to get data analysis for solving statistic and making graphs, but this function is not in add-in. How should I do? I also set up microsoft office for mac 2011.

Microsoft didn't include that with the 2011 version.
There is a third-party application that substitutes for the add-in: http://www.analystsoft.com/en/products/statplusmac/
They also have a limited, free version.

  • Data analysis for statistics class

I need the data analysis tool pak and it seems to not be available for my MacBook.  I have to have it for school, any suggestions?

For that specific program, it looks like you would need Excel for Mac: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914208.
Here is a list of Statistical Packages I found on Wikipedia, but I have not used any of them and an unaware of what may or may not be compatible with mac. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_statistical_packages.  I used an older version of Minitab when I took Statistics in college, but of course that it not made to be natively run on macs either.

  • Data Analysis/Descriptive Statistics

I'm in a Statistic's class and need a feature called "Data Analysis"  which is found in MS Excel. I used to be a big MS user and slowly  adapted to then Apple Mac. This is one of the reasons I think I need to  go back to Windows, Mac doesn't seem to really tailor to students and  there's alot of students who have Macs. Anyway, Is the an equivalent to  Data Analysis/Descriptive Statistics? Why is Mac behind on this?
    Owin

I had a very old version of Excel for Mac and it had add-ons like the stats pack. I don't know if you can get that now for the Mac Excel, but I expect you could for Excel running in a Windows partition.
Sorry you have to go that route, but if it's for school or work it's best to conform.

  • Problem with Changing Data while Import through Excel Sheet

    Hi Experts,
I am new to SAP LUMIRA and I am facing an issue with it. Actually, I am importing the data for analysis from an Excel sheet into SAP LUMIRA. I am able to prepare the visualization in the first go. But If I am changing the number of columns in the excel sheet afterwards (that may occur in normal circumstances where data is dynamic) and then refreshing the LUMIRA dashboard, it fails. Please can you tell me about a possible mistake or is it really feasible when we change data afterwards and then refresh the dashboards once again.
    Looking forward to your answers.
    Regards,
    Aman

    What is the error message?
Can you confirm you are using 1.15.1?

  • .dat Viewer for Mac

Hello, I'm a totally new for Mac and I have a silly question.
Is there a software that allow me to view .dat file in Mac?
    Please help me out.
    Thank you

Actually, I must disagree with Peggy, not all .dat files are Windows files. In fact, if you often use Spotlight, you may find .dat files all over your mac embedded within many applications(found over 40 on mine alone). For instance, WritersCafe uses .dat files to contain an entire project's data.
Consequently, AppleWorks uses .dat files as well for things such as spreadsheets.
DAT files are data files and are not absolutely Microsoft.
My question to you would be, What is the .dat file supposed to be? Is it a winmail.dat which you received randomly in an email? If it is, disregard it as most winmail.dat files are from people using Microsoft Outlook and the file is only for formatting in the email message. If you arent using Outlook, the email message will never look the way it was formatted so just disregard it.
If the file is from Appleworks and you dont have it, have the person you received the file from, export the file to something readable like .csv (comma separated values)and then import it into another program such as Excel!
On the other hand, if you are trying to read the file in Appleworks and the .dat file was created for another program, you may have a problem with formatting. You really need to find out what program created the .dat file and let us know here so we may be able to help further.
