Data insert in SQL & ORACLE databases

Hi
We are sending vendor master data from SAP to SQL & ORACLE database .
It is working successfully for SQL.
we have deployed oracle drivers, completed the configuration part.
When idoc is triggered in SAP,data is uploaded in SQL successfully....but it is showing the following error for Oracle....
....." Unable to execute statement for table or stored procedure. 'tblVendorAddress' (Structure 'Table') due to java.sql.SQLException: FATAL ERROR: Column 'cVendorCode' does not exist in table 'tblVendorAddress' "......
cVendorCode in SQL is defined as cVendorCode ... but in Oracle it is defined as CVENDORCODE...
If  i change the datatype in XI as CVENDORCODE...my SQL scenario will not work(cVendorCode)..
I don't want to change my XI datatype structure....records should be updated in SQL & Oracle datadase at the same time.
Please suggest a solution..
Regards
Abhijit

Hi!
As far as I know this is the only way, because the PI works like all Java based systems (and unix systems) case-sensitive.
But maybe there is a "Wizard" in this forum who knows another way

  • Copy data from mysql to oracle database help?

    Im an sql newb and trying to understand how I can automatically copy data from one dtabase to another systems database on the same server.
    We have two differnt applications, but both share customer information, but one is on a win server, while the other is on oracle.
    Each time a customer contacts us via online chat (win server, mysql), we want to copy their entire chat transcript into our CRM's (oracle) customer account. So the folks that use the CRM can see the past chat histories. I hope this makes sense.
    Where can i look to get started on this?
    Thanks

    You could look at Heterogeneous Services (see the forum here Heterogeneous Connectivity but if you want to push data from mysql to oracle you might be better looking at it from the mssql side. I don't know what they offer.
    It might be simpler to do it at the client end. ie cut and paste from the online chat application into a new utility which inserts into the oracle database.
    Incidentally, this forum is specifically for the SQLDeveloper tool. You might get more general help in the "database - general" or "sql and pl/sql" forums

    I agree that it is an old web page (references Oracle 8.0.5) but basics remain the same.

  • Load data warehouse from non-Oracle database

    Hi
    I need to load a data warehouse (in a Oracle database 8.1.6) using Post Gree database tables.
    The question is: Oracle Warehouse Builder can identify this database like a source module?
    Or is better I generate txt files from Post Gree tables, load a staging database (in Oracle) with the same structure of POst Gree tables and after that, load my data warehouse?
    Best Regards
    Honorio Cardozo Jr

    You can identify Oracle sources from Oracle 7.3 and up. I.e. yes, you can directly go against the database and you do not need to extract into flat files.

    thank you very much for the great help!!

    I don't have time to read thru all your code, but I hope this information will help you.
    It depends on how the Oracle database was set up. Usually, the date format is something like this: '27-MAY-2003 22:10:00'. A quick check will be to run this SQL script in SQLPlus:
    select sysdate from dual;
    You have to convert the date from textbox or whatever to this exact Oracle format. Otherwise, Oracle will not accept it. It is very picky on that. I found the best way is to do the conversion inside the SQL statement. It makes life so much easier.
    Hope this helps.

  • Import/insert data from XML into Oracle database tables?

    Hi. (I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 and Oracle 10g)
    I have been able to export the data from one of my database tables by using a View Object and .writeXML.
    Now, I want to take an xml file that is formatted in the same way as what is spit out by the writeXML and put that info in my database table. I followed online examples and have tried using .readXML like so:
    Element element = XMLDoc.getDocumentElement();
    vo.readXML(element, -1);
    I know it is sort of working, because at first I got an error message that one of the required attributes was missing. So, I added that attribute to my xml file and ran my code. No errors. But, I checked my database, and the new records were not added.
    Is there something I have done wrong? Or is there perhaps something I left out? I also noticed there were several versions of readXML like readFromXML. Which one should I use and how?
    Thanks.

    KUBA, I changed my code to match your example:
    DocumentBuilder db = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance().newDocumentBuilder();
    File xmlFile = new File("C:/myfilehere.xml");
    Document doc = db.parse(xmlFile);
    Element element = doc.getDocumentElement();
    vo.readXML(element, -1);
    vo.getDBTransaction().commit();
    I still get no errors, but my database table has no new records.
    Any ideas why?
    Thanks.

  • Error messages when sending date-time stamp to Oracle Database

      I have a complex application that communicates with an Oracle database.  One of the table values that gets written to the table is a date-time stamp.  Until recently, the user only required a date, and this was never an error. (The format String used was %d-%b-%Y)  Now they need a time-stamp as well, so I attempted to edit the format string input of the format date/time string function to include the time. I have tried numerous format strings, each of which returns an error on execution.  Depending on which format I use, I get one of 3 different error messages.  The really odd thing is that both the date and time always get stored in Oracle without any problem (regardless of what date-time I use, as long as I include the date and any part of a time stamp - I get the entire timestamp even if I only include %I for the hour).  The only issue is that LabVIEW generates an ODBC error if I try to include the time to the date-time stamp.  In other words, teh date/time stamp writes to the Oracle database, but an ODBC error occurs every time.  I've included a word doc with screen captures of the format strings used, the resultant date/time stamps written to Oracle and the error messages generated within LabVIEW. Any advice would be most appreciated.
    Attachments:
    Summary of ODBC Error messages related to date-time stamp.doc ‏65 KB

    Oracle has a standard date format: 12-Mar-2009 that it accepts as a string, but if you want more than that, you need to use the todate() function. I used this string going into the standard LabVIEW ''Format date/time sting vi'
    to_date('%d-%b-%Y %H:%M:%S', 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MIS') to create the value needed for Oracle.
    Then I use standard format string to create SQL: insert into mytable (mydate) values(%s) and select * from my table where mydate = %s using the string above for %s.
    I think you can also define a global format for all time strings but I haven't bothered figuring that out.

  • Error in CLOB datatype for transfering data from Excel to Oracle database

    Am using excel sheet as source and Oracle as target Database.
    For all tables the operations works smoothly except for tables containing CLOB datatype.
    Initially i have used SQL Developer to transfer some data into excell sheets, now i want to transfer those file's data into another Oracle Database.
    What other options do i have?
    Is excel not the right tool to transfer CLOB datatypes?

    well,
    I couldn't suggest an excel to do it...
    You can go from Oracle to Oracle with the PL/SQL IKM. It works fine.
    Does it help you?

  • Can data be fetched from Oracle Database to ApEx websheets?

    Hi,
    Oracle 11g R2
    ApEx 4.2.2
    We are in need of giving an MRU form for the customized data by the users. The number of columns will be defined dynamically by the end user. We thought of using apex's standard tabular forms, but they cannot have dynamic columns. We also thought of having manual tabular forms using apex collections, but there is a limitation that the collection can have maximum of 50 character datatypes, 5 numeric, 5 date and 1 each for clob and blob. The number of columns at runtime may exceed these numbers. so we ruled out this. We then thought of using apex websheets. We know that the data can be fetched from Oracle database to websheet reports, but the reports cannot be edited. We know that the data grid gives option to edit the data, but I couldnt find a way to fetch the data from database to it.  I understand that the data in the apex websheets can be queried from apex's meta tables apex$_ws_... views and somehow in a back door way of doing these can be updated to the business tables. But we also need to fetch the data  from Oracle database to the grid. I do not want to insert into the apex$_ws tables as Oracle does not support it. Is there any other possibility?
    Thanks in advance.

    Natarajan

    Thanks for your reply. Actually it is a data that is fully customized by the end user. These custom attributes are really stored as rows and a complex code returns them as columns at run time. So the number of columns is different user to user based on the number of rows they have.
    They'd never have got that far if I'd been around...
    They now want to edit them in a tabular form as well.
    Well once you've implemented one really bad idea, one more isn't going to make much difference.
    It rather sounds like you've got people who know nothing about relational databases or user interfaces responsible for the design of both. You need to be very, very, worried.

  • How can I get the data array from SQL Server Database?

    Hi,
    I can write a data array(2D)into a table of my SQL Server Database. The data array was writen to a column with image type. I know a data array is transformed a binary string when writing into database, but I dont know how to get the data array when I fetch the binary string from database.
    My question is:
    How to transform the binary string into data array? which vi's should I use? I have tried unflatten from string but failed.
    Any response is appriciated.

    In order to use Unflatten from string you first need to Flatten it
    before writing it. Also depending on the database driver, the returned
    data may actually not be binary but Hexadecimal encoded ASCII which you
    would first have to decode to binray.

  • How to load data in HFM from oracle database without FDM

    hi all,
    I want to know that whether we can load data directlyrom oracle database residing on different server without writing the integartion script in FDM.
    points to note:
    we want to load data without using
    1.FDM
    2.Flat file
    3.Excel file or csv or dat file

    The process is described in the EPMA administrator's guide, which you can find in pdf format included in the HFM product documentation. The file name is bpma_admin.pdf. In the case that you have installed HFM (and included EPMA during the installation process), you may find this file in a folder that will look like C:\Hyperion\FinancialManagement\Documentation\en.
    If you do not have installed the products yet, you should bear in mind that all Hyperion product documentation (including HFM) can be downloaded from the e-delivery site of Oracle (http://edelivery.oracle.com). The Hyperion product documentation is a large archive (zip), containing smaller archives per product. The smaller archive you need to open once you download the complete product documentation is the hfm_93100_product_doc.zip.
