Data logging more then one data per column

Hello,
I want to log multiply data to on column in my database. I use TestStand 3.0 and a SQL database. For example:
I have the column "data" and in this column I want to log all data results from different steps (String, ButtonHit, Numeric) as a string. Logging.StepResult.Numeric, Logging.StepResult.ButtonHit, Logging.StepResult.String ......
How is it posssible?

This is currently done in the default schema for the STEP_NUMERICLIMIT and MEAS_NUMERICLIMIT statements. Both log to the MEAS_NUMERICLIMIT table. The STEP_NUMERICLIMIT statement logs a single value for a Numeric Limit Test step and the MEAS_NUMERICLIMIT logs a value for each measurement in the Multiple Numeric Limit Test step.
In summary, if you the step subproperties are different between two step types, but you want to log them to a shared table column, you have to use a separate statement per step type.

Should be possible. Can you see both iframes in the generated HTML code? Aren't they just overlapping each other?
Otherwise try to embed both iframes in a DIV and position that DIV where you want it (one left, the other one right for instance).

Transformations with more then one source data structure?

Hi,
is there a best practice to include more then one data source (e.g. DSO, InfoSource, ...) in a transformation?
My approach was to merge the needed sources by creating an InfoSet. Afterwords I took this InfoSet as source for the transformation.
Is this the recommended approach? Are there alternatives to this approach? Pros and cons?

as I unterstood a virtual characteristic is computed when you query the data. In our case we'd also like to export the data via open hub instead of only querying it, so the value would stay empty. Is this correct? Works a virtual characteristic with a third party analysis tool like Cognos?
So implementing a custom extractor in R/3 would be the recommendation?
Currently I've implemented the scenario via left outer joins in the InfoSet with an additional abap routine in the transformation to determine the right material number. The big downside of this approach is probably bad performance with big tables, that delta extraction isn't possible from an InfoSet and more data as needed for reporting has to be loaded (lookup tables). Right? The only upside I can see with this solution is that after joining the tables only a few if statements are needed in the ABAP-Routine to do the job.

You need multiple file upload form controls in your HTML and
the PHP
script has to loop through the array that holds the
informations about
all received files.
The script might also need some additional security checks.
Currently it
seems to be possible to upload any arbitrary files, even
other scripts.
With some more tweaking the server might be tricked into
executing them,
which would be a huge security hole.
The receiving script has to check the actual file content,
not just the
file extension or content type, which can both be faked.
Where did you get that script from?

How can I Insert more then one record in the DataBlock of a Form in a WHEN_BUTTON_PRESSED trigger. In the Trigger I have given "commit" but it just saves the record once regardlessly how many times you press the button.

I think u want to batch mode insertion if m not wrong?
1- Use Insert statment instead of commit and then next record.

Oracle Data Miner - one project (workflow) more then one user ?

Hi,
Is it possible to have more then one DM user working on one DM project / workflow?
Example I have DMUSER1 and DMUSER2
DMUSER1 created project and some workflow. I need DMUSER2 to be able to modify that same workflow if possible simultaneously.
Something like in OWB where we can use more than one user on creating mappings.
How is that possible?.

The ODM mining algorithms use techniques that are not exposed.
However, there are a lot of features in the db that are available to you to build your own.
As for an optimization package, I know there are some internal implementations but I am not aware of one in the db that is exposed.

Is there a way to Search (List search) for more then one field text from a column for Bulk uploading?

I've been trying to find more information on this and I apologies if this has already been answered. I just don't know the correct way to ask this. We have a SharePoint List at the company that we have people input information into different columns. The
problem is most of those information are very repetitive. Is there a way for me to search more then one field text in the column and just input that same information in?
ex:
Column 1
Column 2
Date:
883851
MidWest
User input
8831518
MidWest
User input
On the search field in the SharePoint List, I would need to search for 883851, 8831518 etc, would view those requested numbers, then I would click edit and change dates to those rows. Does that make sense? I'm sorry I'm fairly new at sharepoint.

I think what you're asking is about having repetitive options in a list, show up easily for new items being created.
This can be done by setting the columns that contain repetitive information to Choice fields. In the configuration of the Choice field, check the box for "Allow custom values". Now as users are entering data into the list, the dropdown of options
for a given field grows and users can quickly see and select previously entered and thus repetitive values for the given fields.

More then one E-mail address per insurance provider

Hello to you all,
Does anyone have an Idea on how can I maintain more then one E-mail address per insurance provider?
In Tcode NG07/8/9 I am able to have only one which is not enough,
I would expect to have a multiple selection on that field like in customer master record Tcode FD01/2/3.

Dear Yoav,
In the Tcode NG07 only one mail id is given because from here you can send the files directly on clicking the mail icon. Because when you click on mail icon(adjacent to box) it shows whom you are sending the data, here you can also mark CC & BCC to the different users.
In Customer you are not mailing directly. If you have any query you can reply back.

Here is my example how to get the address data from address book:
on page, where is the IR report with many columns (as a popup page) there is a Column Link of URL type - you can choose any colulmn .

self.close function close the popup after fetch.
It will call a passBack function declared in page header.

How do I select more then one channel to view in tdms file viewer graph panel

I have a TDMS file that I can view with the labview 2013 TDMS file viewer and I can select one signal out of 15 signals to view on the graph panel. however I would like be able to look at 2 or 3 signals
on the same graph but can't seem to be able to select more then one signal at a time. Is there a way to select more then one to view?

I've modified the TDMS viewer in the past to allow selecting multple channels. It's a little bit of a pain because the tree control in the viewer only allows you to select one item. You have to edit the tree to allow multiple items. Now your selection is an array instead of a scalar. This means the rest of the code has to be updated, and the references to the tree in subVIs need to be updated. Not impossible but it takes some time. Alternativly open it in Excel with the free add-in then you can select the two columns you want and insert a graph. Not as simple for the user but using Excel, which users should be familiar with might mean users need less training on data files.

I am building a product catalogue using datamerge. Is it possible to data merge more than one image per page? (ie I have a logo, product image and dimensioned drawing to go with each product page)
What would the coding be for the Data Field Name?

Add image fields in the data source file
By adding image fields to the data source file, you can allow a different image to appear on each merged record. For example, when you merge documents that include information from various companies, you may want to include an image of each company’s logo as part of the merge.

At the beginning of the data field name, type an “at” symbol (@) to insert text or paths that refer to image files.The @ symbol is required only in the first line; subsequent lines should include the image paths. You can use InDesign to view the path of an image on your operating system. Insert an image in an InDesign document, and then use the Links panel to view the image’s location. With the image selected, choose Copy Info > Copy Full Path from the Links panel menu. You may need to edit the path after you paste it in your data source. Yes, pretty much exactly as you describe. You would then just add those fields to the boxes in your page. I tend to add an apostrophe before the @ symbol in Excel so it doesn't think it's a function - as per text you quoted above.

Hacking application id equals() to allow more than one row per "primary key"

I have a read only entity whose primary key is not the real primary key
on the underlying table. The result is that I get more than one row per
"primary key". This is what I want. However KODO will not allow me do
it, because I am storing the collection in a HashSet() and the equals()
method on the application id object ensures that this set contains no
duplicates (as defined by the application id). At least thats how it
seems to behave.
So, I have hacked the equals() method to do this:

return true;

The "primary key" I am using it already a compound key of two columns.
The real key on the underlying table is a three column key. But the
problem is that the table represents two different application level
entities. I could deal with it when I was hand-writing SQL (I could do
a distinct for example) but now I am relying on foreign key
relationships since I moved to JDO. Not sure what to do. Best solution
is to rework the table, but there is a lot of legacy code (that other
teams use and maintain) relying on this table. I guess I'll use the
weekend for inspiration ;-)

Importing From Excel file will not import assignments correctly where there are more than one assignment per task

I am trying to import an excel file ... see below. It appears if you select both Tasks and Assignments tables it will not allow you to do this, says file is not in a project recognized format. So I import Tasks tab first then run the
wizard again and import the assignments tab while selecting merge with project option. This works with one exception:
If there are more than one assignment per task. It does not merge in the 2nd assignment, only the first.
Is there a way to import a task with 2 or more assignments?

To figure out what the format for the file needed to be, I started with a MPP file and from project saved as Excel and selected the "Project Template" file. Now I am trying to import that XLS to see how it works

I did a quick test using your example although I didn't include the Predecessor or Outline Level fields to keep things a little simpler. I imported the Excel data into a new Project file with a single import of task and assignment data. It is very important
to set up the Excel Workbook correctly. On Sheet 1 I entered the task data (Name, Duration, Start). I did not include the ID or finish date as that is redundant - Project generates its own ID and will calculate the finish date based on the start date and duration.
On Sheet 2 I entered the assignment data basically just as you show it except I didn't include the Units.
The data imported as expected.

What if i need more than one prepareStatements per connection

hi all!!
Please take some time to look into this scenario.
On the front end: User enters/ updates his/her records and submits. An ArrayList of object goes to backend.
On back end: i have to loop for the size of the ArrayList submitted and see if some record is to be updated or inserted.
Now at back end i do following steps:
I have only one Connection object named connection.
Step 1:
query (say query1 )to see if the record in DB exists for the primary key as extracted from the element from ArrayList. So one prepareStatment ( say prepareStatement1) for this. I write a query and execute :
prepareStatment1= connection.prepareStatement(query1);
Step2 :
A query ( say query2) to update Data in DB. And i have a separtae prepareStatement for this and i execute
prepareStatment2 = connection.prepareStatement(query2);
Sep3
A query (say query3 )to insert Data in DB. And i have a separtae prepareStatement for this and i execute
prepareStatment3 = connection.prepareStatement(query3);
Step4:
for: size of arraylist:
1. take out the element at ith index from the list.
2. see if the record exists i.e execute step1 and see if resultSet.next() is true.
3. if record exists step2 applies so execute update query
4. if record doesnot exist then go to step3 and execute insert query
A weird thing happened .. insert was running fine but update was not. May be i was not checking appropriately. BUT the error that occurrd was that
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Connection is busy with
results for another hstmt.
So i changed my path and in loop i prepareStatement and execute query to see if record exists or not and store the result in some boolean variable and then close this prepareStatement. and if the result existed again prepare a statement for update or else prepare a statement for insert and execute the respective.
and then again close this prepareStatement and go for next iteration of loop
so each iteration i am preparing statement and then closing it BECAUSE Connection doesnot allow more than one statement per connection at one time. Am i right.??
what should i do.? Although i have solved problem by closing and preparing in loop but that is so inefficient. Is there some elegant way???

PS: I am using ms sql server 8.0 as my DBMS. I am developing web application using Sun Creator.

No, you can use as many PreparedStatements as you like, all from one Connection, and you can keep them open as long as you like. (I do this with no problems.) Where you will run into problems is when you are trying to use two ResultSets at the same time. That's what the error message means, it just doesn't use JDBC terminology.
