But I managed to find a temporary solution..yay!!!! :)
I added in the clientListener for the inputListOfValues' valueChange event

and in javascript I call the TAB action of AdfLovInternalEvent

so it's forcing to perform the tab action when there is value change. doesn't matter tab or enter or mouse click on something else.
it seems to work for now..
I'll have to test it out a few more times to see if there is anything I missed.

After updating to 7.0.1 I can not always use the tab key to move to the next field or use the shift and tab to move to the prior field in forms. I tried in safe mode and the tab key worked just fine. I'm not sure about all web forms I've only recently updated to 7.0. The wen form I was using was for appraisal purposes and it has multiple data fields to fill in and also drop down menus to select from. Might I always have to use Firefox in safe mode to be able to utilize the tab between field feature? Thanks for your help!

Global binding text disappears once you move to the next field

I have created this pdf form using Acrobat 7 Professional. now I have ver.8. I also have Adobe Desinger 8.0. I wanted two field to have the same data, so I used global binding. In the preview mode, it works fine. I have add reader extension rights and security to the document. Now when I open it in Adobe Reader 8 and fill the form, it will let me type in and shows up in both the fields, once I move to the next field, the name in the field disappears from both the fields. Any idea?

I'm having the same issue. Fields are named independently (my one and only global field is set on the master page, named "Beryllium"). Other fields function as they should and binding is set to normal.
When I type into my Beryllium global field, then move into another text field below, the typing I entered into "Beryllium" disappears and does not carry over to subsequent pages.
Anyone help with this frustrating issue?

How do you move automatically to the next field of a form after scanning a barcode?

Hi, I have been playing around with a barcode scanner (by the way I dont have a clue) and I've converted a form into a PDF document. I'm trying to move to the next field after the data has been populated in a previous field automatically. I'm not sure if this is done within Adobe Acrobat it self or on the scanner.
The scanner has several different modes, TERMINATION CHAR - CR, TERMINATION - LF, TERMINATION CR+LF and DISABLED.
I believe one of them put a ENT after the data from a barcode and one of the others doesnt. Any ideas?

Are you using a handheld scanner and scanning the barcode on screen and wanting the focus to be in the next field after scanning the barcode?
Otherwise, I am not sure what you are asking. The scanner itself won't do this for you if you actively filling out a form. The field which receives the scanned data could have an exit event which has a setFocus method taking you to the field it specifies. (haven't tested this in a long time, so my presumption is once the data is received it will exit, but focus could remain. In that case, another event would be needed. However, A manual <TAB> will force an exit of the field, and the setFocus() function will excute taking you to the field specified in the method.

Data with "," overflows to the next field when importing data with DTW

Dear all,
When I tried to import data with DTW, for the data that includes ",", the data after "," all jumps into the next field after import.
E.g. Column A(memo): bank, United state
       Column B(project code): blank
       Result in SBO: Memo field : bank
                              Project code: United state
I have tried 2 ways.
1. Save the file as csv, and adding double quote(") at the beginning and ending of the data. However, it didn't work. It didn't work with single quote as well.
2. Save the file as txt, without amending the data at all.
It worked, however, in SBO, double quote is auto added, it becomes "bank, United state".
Please kindly advise how to handle such case.

Populated the new field with historic data

HI,
I have a data for 2 years now I am enhancing the data source how can I populated the new field with historic data.Is it by
1)deleting all the data in BW side and the doing an init then setting up a regular delta
2)running a repair full request with selection condition.
or is there any other option available? which is the best scenario to load these historic data?

I think your datasource is already in production, and you want to data only from today onwards for enhanced fields, i.e. historical data is not required for enhanced fields..
1.Fix ECC down time for 20 to 30 munities
2. Keep all objects on Qty system in ECC and BW.
3.Run Delta laods in BW for 2 to 3 times.So with this step you can clear SMQ1 and RSA7. Check the entries in RSA7, if it is ZERO then it is fine.
4. Move DS from ECC Qty to ECC PROD .
5. Replicate in BW.
6. Move all BW objects from BW Qty to BW Prod.
7. Delete Init load in InfoPackage level (Not in ODS/CUbe).
8.Load Init without DataTransfer.
9.Then Run Delta.
10. Next day on wards deltas will come as usual.
If you need Historical data also.
1.Delete data in Cube.
2.Fix Down Time and load Init then Delta.

Is there a way to link text fields, so when you reach the end of one line it moves to the next?

I often use Acrobat Pro to create forms, whether it be from an existing document or from scratch, and this has always irritated me. I know you can create a text field and select the Multi-line option; however, this is not what I am looking to do. I have a form that has a Yes or No Radio Button, then below it says "If yes, please explain:" followed by 3 lines to respond. When I run it through the Form Creator, it places three text fields on the response lines - as it should. The first line is shorter because of the text, which is why I cannot use the Multi-line option. So is there a way to link these three text fields, so that when I reach the end of the first line it stops and automatically moves to the next?

These types of lines are a left-over from printed forms. There's no reason
to keep using them if your form is digital.
The best approach is to combine the fields to a single multiline field, and
get rid of the first line. Trying to link text fields together is very
tricky. I haven't yet to see it done properly.

How can I change the behavior of the Green Enter button when filling out a field in a form? Current it submits the entire form, I would like it to tab to the next field instead

When using Firefox for Andriod:
When filling out a field on a form, they keyboard has a Green Enter button that submits the entire form. However, there are multiple fields on the page, and I would like it to tab to the next field. At the very least not submit the form.
Also, is there a way to configure the keyboard that shows up for each html5 input type?

They keyboard that shows up has the large "Green Enter" go button, a backspace and some arrow keys, but no tab button.

When I click on Backspace in Contact name the cursor moves to the next tab

While editing a contact first name, when I click on 'Backspace' in First Name the last character of the name is deleted and the cursor automatically moves to the next tab which is the Middle Name.

If you are talking about searches from - http://www.google.com/ - are you logged into a Google account all the time? If so, check your "Search Settings" from the "gear" in the upper-right corner of that Google search page and see if you have '''Open search results in a new browser window.''' check-marked, at the bottom of that preferences page. When that is check-marked and you have Tab options in Firefox set to '''Open new windows in a new tab instead''', you will get search results always opening in a new tab instead of the same tab. As to why that works different for "sponsored links" I don't know, I haven't seen the "sponsored links" for years now, I have a GM script that blocks those advertisements.

How to submit a page and set the focus on the next field?

I have a form with some fields and below this a report with a column link. If I change values in the form fields and I click the on a column link the changes in the fields are lost because the page is not submitted.
I try this: I set on the fields in HTML Form Element Attributes the following:
onchange="doSubmit('AENDERUNG_UEBERNEHMEN');"
And I create a branch to the same page. This works great, I dont lost the changes in the fields and I can use the column links.
But: If I want to walk through the form with the key "TAB" I have to press the key 2 times to come to the next field.
How can I submit the page and go to the next field?

how about submitting the page when the column link in the report is clicked. To do this, create a column link with an URL target and specify a target like
javascript:doSubmit('#ID#_AENDERUNG_UEBERNEHMEN').After that I would create a process, that checks if
substr(:REQUEST,instr(:REQUEST,'_')+1) (or something like that)
equals 'AENDERUNG_UEBERNEHMEN'. If so, save the change, set the PK value of your target page to
substr(:REQUEST,1,instr(:REQUEST,'_')) (to extract the ID)
Afterwards, create a branch that jumps to the target page.

When I move to the next record on a form it shows the entries for the previous record even though the record is actually null

I have a form that logs fibre analysis for asbestos analaysis. Let's say I am analysisng 2 samples. I log all the details for the first sample and hit save. Now I use the scroll button to move to the next sample. When the screen refreshes all the entries for the first sample are still showing on the screen. But these are just phantom entries, when I look at the back-end database there are of course no entries against the second sample. This does not occur with any other browser.
I have tried clearing the cache to no avail.
Any ideas?

Is Firefox filling the form via the cache or via saved form data?
If this data still gets filled when "Remember search and form history" is disabled the Firefox fills it from the cache.
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": "Remember search and form history"
In such a case a hard refresh via Ctrl + F5 might help to reset the form data.
