Hi,
I want to pulled down the data from R/3 in XI using RFC Adaptor Module. What are all the different way i can acheive and pros and cons.
if i want the push the data from R/3 to XI. then what are way i can achieve this.

invoke the RFC
call function

As of BI 7.0 there were several changes in the data loading process.
First of all, you need to replicate the DataSource (here you can choose between use a 3.5 or 7.0 replication. I recomend the last one)
Now you are not obligue to create an InfoSource.
Then you have to connect your InfoProvider (DSO, InfoCube, etc) to the DataSource. This is made with a Transformation (the symbol is similar to the previous Update Rules but without an small square/dot in the graphic). Once you have created the Transformation you connect the fields of the DataSource with the InfoObject of your DataProvider.
Finally you'll create an InfoPackage to load data from your R/3 system to PSA and then you'll create a DTP to load the data from the PSA to the InfoProvider.

How do I get dates pulled from database to display in Spanish?
I'm pulling a date from a MySQL database and need to have it
display in Spanish. If it were in English, these are the two
statements I would be using:

I tried using <cfset SetLocale("Spanish (Standard)")>
in my Application.cfm , but it didn't seem to work. I'm not really
sure how it is supposed to be used or even if it would work if I
were using it correctly.

you can put it at the top of pages that need to be localized
or better yet in
your application cfm/cfc.

yes it won't change that, the regular cf functions all use
en_US locale. you
want the "LS" functions (re-read the code snippet above). -
SQL Server 2005 data pull from Oracle
Hi, I am learning how to use Oracle and I ran into this problem.
My database is running on SQL Server 2005.
I have an ODBC connection to Oracle. I also have a VB .Net script that queries the Oracle table that the data resides in.
When the job is running, and if it stalls, I do not get a timeout error. It locks down my database and no other source systems can feed data to me; these are back logged in the queue.
Is there an easier way for me to make a connection that will pull data on a consistent basis? Please help ...

From your description of what is happening I agree with BluShadow. This is not an Oracle issue. This is a coding in VB .NET issue.
Posting the statements you are executing against some unknown version of Oracle would be a good starting point. -
Data pulling from MARD, MARC etc. - Which table first I hv to use?

User enters the Matnr, plant, storage location inputs in the selections.
It is need to get the corresponding data from MARD, MARC, MDBS, VBBE.
So,
1) Is it possible that, suppose MARD having 10 matnrs, where as MARC is having 15, where as MDBS have only 7? or every table does hv 10 definately?
2) as I need to pull the data from these tables, pls. suggest me, in which order I hv to pull, I mean, first from Which table i hv to pull, and as second, wht is next table? for more reliability.

Max data pull from Virtual Cube - is this a setting?
We have a user doing a query against a Remote cube in our BW system, and they're hitting a "maximum data" limit of data from this remote cube. Is this a setting for this cube or globals, and can you modify it?

MAXSIZE = Maximum size of an individual data packet in KB.
The individual records are sent in packages of varying sizes in the data transfer to the Business In-formation Warehouse. Using these parameters you determine the maximum size of such a package and therefore how much of the main memory may be used for the creation of the data package. SAP recommends a data package size between 10 and 50 MB.

MAXLINES = Upper-limit for the number of records per data packet
The default setting is 'Max. lines' = 100000
The maximum main memory space requirement per data packet is around
memory requirement = 2 * 'Max. lines' * 1000 Byte,
meaning 200 MByte with the default setting
3 THE FORMULA FOR CALCULATING NUMBER OF RECORDS
The formula for calculating the number of records in a Data Packet is:
packet size = MAXSIZE * 1000 / transfer structure size (ABAP Length)
but not more than MAXLINES.
eg. if MAXLINES < than the result of the formula, then MAXLINES size is transferred into BW.
The size of the Data Packet is the lowest of MAXSIZE * 1000 / transfer structure size (ABAP Length) or MAXLINES
Goto RSCUSTV6 tcode and set it.
Go to your Infopackage, from tool bar, scheduler, data packet settings, here you can specify your data packet size
Go to R/3, Transaction SBIW --> General settings --> Maintain Control Parameters for Data Transfer.
Here you can set the maximum number. But the same can be reduced in BW...
Info package>Scheduler>datas default data transfer-->here you can give the size, but can reduce the size given in R/3 side, you cant increase here...
In RSCUSTV6 you can set the package size...press F1 on it to have more info and take a look to OSS Notes 409641 'Examples of packet size dependency on ROIDOCPRMS' and 417307 'Extractor Package Size Collective Note'...
Also Check SAP Note 919694.
This applies irrelevant of source system meaning applicable for all the DS:
Go To SBIW-> General Settings -> Maintain Control Parameters for Data Transfer -> Enter the entries in table
If you want to change at DS level then:
IS->IP -> Scheduler Menu -> Datas. Default Data Transfer and change the values.
Before changing the values keep in mind the SAP recommended params.

Simple Max date pull from several rows with the same employee numbers.
Ok so I'm hoping this is flying over my head because it's almost 3am, but I haven't been able to figure this query out for the last 2hrs, but I like to figure stuff out on my own. I'm wondering why the following statement works fine:

How Do i create a list that will show in a dropdown box with the list being pulled from another tab and not the cell data format junk?

Now i have been trying to work on this for a while now and what i want to do should be simple but its apparently not.
Here is an example of what i want to happen.
I will have 2 tabs: Contact | Sales
Now Contacts will have the list of names and various information about a customer, While Sales will have one drop-down box for each Cell Row that will show the names of the person in tab contacts
for what i am wanting to do i cant use the data format pop-up menu because the list is edited everyday several times a day.

How to find out the table, data for the IDOCS is pulled from?

The ZFPH9999397 VENDOR FEED job runs the RBDMIDOC program with the variant Z9999_397. This creates IDOCS that are sent out and eventually wind up in IMOS.
The IDOC Type is CREMAS.
Can you tell me which table or tables the data for these IDOCS is pulled from?
Or tell me the procedure to find out the table name.

Reg: Proxy error while fetching data from RFC's
Hi All,
I am fetching data from RFC's. When the data is in bulk I am getting an error like:
Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request POST /webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/pb/PageBuilder.
Reason: Error reading from remote server
When the data is samll only I am not getting any error and am able to fetch it easily. Please suggest me something in this regard.

Now I am able to fetch data from flat files from OWB Server as well as OWB Client.
One way I have achieved as suggested by you
1) Creating location on the OWB Client
2) Samples the files at client
3) Created & Configured external table
4) Copy all flat files on OWB Server
5) Updated the location which I created at the client.
Other way
1) Creating location on the OWB Client
2) Samples the files at client
3) Created & Configured external table
4) Copied flat files on the sever in same drive & directory . like if my all flat files are on C:\data at OWB Client then I copied flat file C:\data on the OWB Server. But this is feasible for Non-Windows.
Hence my problem solved.

Missing/wrong data in XI from RFC in ECC 6
I'm having the following issue where I send data from an RFC in ECC6 to an imported RFC in XI. Below is my structure in SAP ECC 6 and I see this in my testing of the RFC in SE37:

Thank you again for the follow up. I have again checked the data in the RFC, and my problem remains that the data shows up in the wrong field. Also - I'm missing some data that should be in certain fields.
Thanks as well for the information on the Queues. The Queues look ok, and nothing is being held up there. The "green" messages are those that are sent into the XI system from ECC. There are subsequent messages after the initial inbound message, which indicate an additional web service error, of which we can resolve quite easily.

We need to know if FDMEE 11.1.2.3.520 product supports restricting number of rows to be pulled from PeopleSoft's PS_LEDGER table.
All the records fetched from PS_LEDGER is getting loaded into TDATASEG table.
Currently, it is trying to pull all the records based on the given "period", "version" and "year" combination. We are looking to restrict rows based on specific account/entity/program/subprogram combination.
If this is can be done, will it be an out-of-the-box functionality or does it require any customization/import scripts/api.
Admin guide does say we can use Jython to filter rows using import scripts. However, it seems to be limited to file not a table as a source.
I have attached a document with the screenshots so that the issue is better understood !

When you set a column to hidden in a classic report using the method I described, it creates hidden form elements for that column.

You should inspect the source to figure out the name value.
Since this belongs to the wwv_flow form, we can therefore get this data with: wwv_flow.f01
Alternatively, you could have used the apex_item API to achieve the same result, which probably gives a bit better control.

As above, setting the column to hidden creates hidden elements on the page. It is simply f01 because that is the only hidden field I would have on my page. With four reports on the page, you would need to be careful not to do the same on the other reports, as you would get inaccurate data. For each report, setting columns to hidden always starts with f01. In that, you would be best to use the apex_item API.
I actually initially ran into this issue when i had a tabular form on the same page as a report with hidden fields, which was causing conflicts in the page processes.

I have some Problems with creating an Adobe Form and hope, someone can help me or give me some hinds to some tutorials, which can help me.
I'm developing an webdynpro-application which get data from a R/3 via RFC-Call.
Context-Binding and so on is done and works. I created also an interactive form and can display some datas on it.
Here my questions:
I have an field 'unit' which shoulb be displayed on several positions onto the form. My problem is, i can display it only once. If i copy the field, there is no output in it. What can i do, to solve the problem?
From the RFC i get a table with several rows of data, i want to display on the form.
With drag&drop i can place the fields onto the form but they are displayed only once. I want one line for every row from the table.
What do i have to do? Are there tutorials which show the steps?
When I am not using a form, i can display the data from RFC in a table with no problems (i create a table ui and choose create binding from context menue). Are the nescessary steps for displaying the data on an interactive form the same.
I read something about creating a dynamic form design. Do i have to create it? What are the steps i have to do.
Many questions, but i hope that someone can give me some helpful hints.

If I caught you correctly, you want to display data in Adobe forms in form of tabel, right?
So, follow the steps:
1. Insert one sub form on your adobe form.
2. Set its type as "flow content" in object->subform property.
3. Set flow direction as "Table".
4. Insert another subform inside this subform.
5. set its type as "flow content" and flow direction as "Table row".
6. Now, choose binding tab, and there check "repeat subform for each Data item check box" and specify min. count for your rows.
7. Now, insert your column fields inside this sub form once.
8. Format its look and feel as you want.
When you run this application, it will show you multiple data as table on Adobe form.

I've called an RFC and created a table with data coming from it (which is also a table). My question is, if in this table there's a field named "UserType" there are two possible values for this field:
"userA"
"userB"
How can I get the table only show me the "userA" registers? The RFC does return all of the users, but when filling the table, can I put an if-else somewhere on my code?

We would have to implement the action onFilter in the controller implementation. Ideally, we fill the data retrieved from backend into a List (java.util.List) (this could be done on init of view) and then subset the list after meeting the criteria in the action handler(say
onActionFilterData(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent).
Having done this, you may bind the output list back to the node (shown in table)
