Data Selection option in Crosstab

Hi Everyone, here is my problem for which I would appreciate if anyone can provide quick inputs.
I have a Bex Query which has a characteristic and 6 key figues and using that as a Datasource in Design Studio need to display some measure values in chart and crosstab.
While onload I will display the chart_1 which has a script written in Onstart up that to show only three measures. Used the below code for it:
Chart_1.setDataSelection( {"keyfigure": ["keyfigure1", "keyfigure2", "keyfigure3"]});
There is a radio button that will change the visible measure values in the chart. The radio button has options Month and Quarter.
When Month is selected script Chart_1.setDataSelection( {"keyfigure": ["keyfigure1", "keyfigure2", "keyfigure3"]}); is used and
When quarter is selected script Chart_1.setDataSelection( {"keyfigure": ["keyfigure4", "keyfigure5", "keyfigure6"]}); is used
The first three keyfigures are showing Jan, Feb and March Net Sales. The Keyfigures 4 to 6 show Last three quarters net sales. The above code works fine for Charts.
Now I was asked to have crosstab to be shown also. So we have a small icon which will make the components shift between chart and crosstab. In crosstab we do not have the function setDataSelection so I am not able to switch the columns in crosstab when user selects between Month and Quarter radio button.
Instead the only way i can think of is two different data sources of the same Bex query and limit the columns in each query to show the three values only in the each crosstab and set the visibility option. I do not want to do this since I have 6 charts in my dashboard and doing this will have additional 12 data sources.
Is there a good way of doing this.

Hi Friends,
For a particular year wise report, the client wants 12 date select-options which are changeable and informal every year .The report will also be displayed as per the given date selection period wise. Please help me how to fetch the datas from the table as per the given selection period. Currently the report have one date select-option where the user gives selection range as 1.04 to 31.03. It's related to EB power consumption report and hence the new requirement on date selection which are informal and not a fixed date of every year.
Ex:Selection-Screen
Period 1 : 08.04.2008 to 12.05.2008
Period 2: 12.05.2008 to 20.06.2008
Period 3: 21.06.2008 to 28.07.2008
Period 4: 29.07.2008 to 15.08.2008
Period 5: 15.08.2008 to 21.09.2008
Period 6 : 21.09.2008 to 14.10.2008
The data will derive as per the above selection ranges.......
Please advise with example.

In this case just derive all records matching dates between 08.04.2008 (low in first select-options) and 14.10.2008(high in last select-options.
Also my advice is to use a single select-options and prompt the user to give the dates as ranges in the multiple entries dialog which can be opened by clicking the button on the right side of the select-options.

Data selection options in info package

I am using filter for current month while loading data into info provider (let us say 0calmonth). I am using below code in info-package after selecting type '6' (ABAP editor),

I have got the solution by myself (trial and error method). Solutions: there is a SAP delivered variable to calculate current month (Variable name is 0CMONTH).
Is there any variable to calculate both previous month and current month as filter value? pls reply.

Data Selection option for Measures only?

Hi All I have Data Source with 3 dimenstion and few measures. I see that We can pick measures to dispaly,, but can i also pick dimenstion to show on horizonatal a-axis ? In screenshot below, I would like to pick one domension for chart A and pick 2nd dimension for chart B.

It's clear, but the selection you are showing above is only to bind measures.
Why not use a filter panel, dimension panel, etc. to filter?

Use the Component WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS to include select options in Web Dynpro ABAP. Follow these steps:
1. In your Component , "Used Componet" tab add Component WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS . Component Use can be any name that you want to give, eg SELECT_OPTIONS
2. Go to the View where you want to include the Date Select Options. I am assuming that you already have an Attribute of Type DATS in your context.
3. View: Properties Tab:Create Controller Usage and select
SELECT_OPTIONS     WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS
SELECT_OPTIONS     WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS     INTERFACECONTROLLER
4. View Layout Tab:Include a View Container. In this view container we will show the Date Select Options.

Relative date as selection option

Hi Experts,
could any of You pls help me to define a relative date as selection options?
I have a program about production order selection with a start date as selection option (AKFO-GSTRP). I would like to run this program daily as a background job with dynamic selection: ex. always select orders start date: -5 days form today up till +5 days from now.
So,I want to define a selection options, which will give possibilit to user define only the number of days, and based on this and sy-datum can calculate the actual value for the selection. But in so_xxx definition up till now I only referred to a real value, and I can not do it this time with FOR string. ( My selection field has data element CO_DAT_REL).
Could any of You pls help me - as being beginner at programming-, how to define this relative date selection option?

Some solutions (if I understood)
- define a variant for the report, use this variant in the transaction definition (define this variant as a [system variant|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/c0/980389e58611d194cc00a0c94260a5/frameset.htm] (start with CUS& or SAP&) so it will be transported automatically, in this variant define the range of date as a selection variant of type D: Dynamic date calculation and select one of the available variable by F4
- define a parameter field of type integer, and build yourself the range by subtracting or adding this field to current date, you can define the result range as a select-options, just protect it in the PBO (AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT with a classical LOOP AT SCREEN/MODIFY SCREEN/ENDLOOP)

Select -option Date field in MM/YYYY format!

Hi.. Friends..
   Iam having DATE field as selection screen SELECT_OPTION parameter.
And I am fetching records from one of my tables with where condition of this select-option.
Now my reuirement is to modify that DATE select-option with 7 characters i.e. MM/YYYY
So if user enters 09/2008 as DATE-LOW.. I have to fetch all records of September 2008.
If user enters 09/2008(lower limit) and 02/2009(Upper limit)...
I have to fetch records between... September 1st 2008 to 28th february 2009.
What is the simplest way to impliment this?

Remove ":" from select option label(description)

Hello All
I have a requirement to remove the select option description (which SAP displays by default from the field label maintained in the data element),
I thought the best way to achieve that requirement is by passing "space" to the parameter 'I_DESCRIPTION' to the method IF_WD_SELECT_OPTIONS->ADD_SELECTION_FIELD, however, it turned out that SAP still displays the label from the data element inspite of passing space(blank) to the parameter 'I_DESCRIPTION', to overcome this limitation I have created a data element without maintaining any labels this approach worked expect that SAP still displays ":"(colon) as the label, is there any way to get rid of this ":" too?
As shown above, ":" is still displayed as the label of the date select option. I'm also looking for a way to reduce the distance between the last radio button and the select option, any pointers would be appreciated.

Disable the Select-options field in the viewcontainer

I have two select option fields(Date,Number) in a viewcontainer .
Now i need to disable one of the select-option field(Date) in the view container based on the condition.If I give Enability for the view container then both the select options will get diasbled.Is there any way to disable only Date select-option field in the view container.

created three attributes at component level under the attribute tab ( as suggested by Thomas )

i did not have much logic to control the select option field so i added a button which if user presses the field become disable...
under that button action method i added the following code:

lo_componentcontroller->ENABLE_PRI_SELECTOPTION = abap_true.
   "<---pls see here how i am changing the global *attribute which Thomas has suggested for controlling the "read only" attibute for the select-option field....you can put this under *your "if" statement....
"this step is very important if you do not remove the field you will get the dump...since it will try to add the same field again
"which produces dump from system....

plese try in this way
proior to doing the above thing..in the SMART FORM you have to do the following things first
1)Create a Structure ZSTRUC in SE11 with the required fields.
2)In smart form u2018ZXXXXXu2019, create an entry in to TABLES tab "parametername in the Form Interface.
3)Define Structures in TYPES tabs in GLOBAL DEFINITIONS.
4)Write the logic in the main window "program Lines".
5)Loop the internal table you have used in the smartform. then follow as the below driver program procedure this will solve your problem

Advanced data selection in Spry datasets

There seems to have a bug in the final release of DW CS4 that
wasn't there in the Beta version: when we create an html Spry
dataset and we check the "Advanced data selection" option, DW
automatically adds a row with column0, column1, and so on. This row
doesn't do anything good, and if we click next, checking or
unchecking the "Use first row as header" option doesn't change
anything...
In fact, if we don't check the "Advanced data selection" in
the first step, checking or unchecking the "Use first row as
header" on the second step toggles the column0... behavior... So,
it's like if there was a bug that if we use advanced, it always
acts as if the "Use first row as header" was always unchecked...
adding an unessesary row to our data...
For now, the only way I could go around that, was to not use
the "Advanced data selection", and in the last step, clicking Set
Up... and removing the columns that I don't want...

It identifies the column. In Step 2, you can select each
column and
change its name in the Column Name field at the top of the
wizard.
Without a column name, the Spry data set has no way of
identifying the
data you want to display.
