Hi, I have problem, the database failure and not have backup. which would be the best practice?? Reinnstall the system or cant install new database?

Check the file system space, the SAPinst is not able to create database or tablespace containers due to non-availability of sufficient space.
Check the file system where you chose to create sapdata*.

Linux Testdrive SAP NetWeaver 7.02 on DB2 LUW now available in SAP Shop

You can find the DB6 based NW7.02 (SP09) Testdrive in www.sap.com/shop -> Knowledge Shop -> Documentation -> SAP NetWeaver -> SAP NetWeaver, material number is 50108304. Don't let yourself get fooled by the currently misleading description, 50108304 is the DB2 LUW based version. I will have that corrected. If you don't have a 64bit Linux system, you can download SLES11 VM at http://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=x1e9uCQ4074~ run the virtual machine, e. g., with VMware Player.

Chrome SAP Netweaver 7.02 (Ehp2)

Hi!
We have just patched our portal to SAP Netweaver EHp2 SP6 (to be able to support more browsers) Now it appers that the chrome browser that was working fine before, has stopped working.

Anyone who has a solution for this? We have a public portal and browser support is important for us.
It feels strange that it stopped working after patch.
We now support mac and safari but not chrome... =not good!
I know that SAP does not support Chrome but for our senarios it has worked fine before!

you can try "ST04->Diagnose->SQL Commandline".
Depends on your SAP User Profile and the DBACOCKPIT version.

I have installed the above version in my laptop with maxDB(as it is provided within this).After installing while i tried to search tables like VBAP,VBAK.... with SE11 ...system cannot find them.Without those standard data i cannt practise my abap....So plz help me.....

is supossed for training purposes only.
I practise frequently at my home instaled trial version.
Even I have prepared for the certification with trial/preview version.

Problem creating database with SAP Netweaver 7 sp 12

I have retrieved a new license from the website.
The problem that I now have is that when I try to create a table, I am prompted for an access key. I input the developer access key (29671482393151224771) and it doesn't work.
Please, does anybody know how I can remedy this?

you cannot modify the standard sap tables and if the prefix does not start with Y or Z..it will ask for access key ...so while creating a table add Y or Z to the table name...
not only for table name but also for classess,programs,screens etc..

Please make sure that file system should not be created with cio option but with rw option.

Double-click to create method/attribute in EHP2 Netweaver 7.0 does not work

Hi,
this makes me wonder:
I'm used to create new attributes or methods by simply double-clicking the new name and the system will ask me to create. Now I am new in EHP2 and for methods it just says 'wrong cursor position or object not in navigation', for attributes system just does not show any reaction.
Please help me as it is really annoying always to create things from object tree or class header.
What is it I do not see?

sorry I thought it was clear: I try in the new ABAP front end editor - accessed through SE80, SE24, SE38 and anay transaction that allows you to edit code (except lousy things like the enhancement spot implementation code window).
An it is still the same: In a report, I can write perform xyz and double-click will asjk me to create a form. Just in oo context, attributes and methods should be the same - as it was since ECC600 or even before on 46C. Except our current system I don't know anyone working on EHP2 for Netweaver 7.
EHP2 just another undeclared untested Beta-Version?

SAP SCM 5.10 with F&R - Update SAP Netweaver 7.0 to 7.0 EHP2 (702)

almost all of our SAP-System has now SAP Netweaver 7.0 EHP2 (702) Abap-Stack.
The last system that we will update is a "SAP SCM 5.10" with the F&R component. The mean software level is:
SAP Basis               700 SP23
SCM SCEMSRV      5.1 SP16
SCM                        5.1 SP15
FRP-Kernel                   SP15
To update the SAP-Neatweaver componet to EHP2 have we do an upgrade for the SCM-Server or the SCM itself and what will be now the target relase?
In the documentation is this not realy clear for us.

Issues with universes for AS400 DB2 databases

I create Business Objects universes and Webi reports accessing data from AS400 DB2 databases (via ODBC). I have a couple of queries that I have been having trouble resolving. I hope someone in the forum is working on a similar set-up.
My queries are as follows:
1. If I have 2 different libraries with identical set of tables (physical files), after creating a universe in designer based on the tables in one library, is there an automated way to create another identical universe pointing to or referring to the 2nd library? Every physical file and field structure within it are the same. The only difference is that they are located in 2 different libraries, containing different data.
2. For physical files with 'multiple members', the reports generated by Business Objects seem to only access the data in the first member of the file. Is there a setting where this behavior can overidden or by passed. I think 'multiple members' is a characteric that unique to tables in AS400 DB2.

Since it doesn't appear the Online Capture for DB2 is supported, I am trying to work around this and do the Offline capture.
I copied the generated files from the Offline Capture option (startDump.sh,getForeignKeys.sh,getProcedures.sh, and db2v9.ocp)to the Linux box where the DB2 Database resides.
After connecting to the DB2 Database (DB2DB1), I entered:
sh startDump.sh DB2DB1 USRNAME USRPSWD
to run the script startDump.sh. It produced files:
Connect.dat
Schemas.dat
It also created a subfolder (DB2DB1) containing:
checkConstraints.dat
foreignKeys.dat
indexes.dat
primarykeys.dat
routines.dat
synonyms.dat
tables.dat
triggers.dat
views.dat.
My question is what do I do with these files? I believe the documentation said that file db2v9.ocp was supposed to be modified, but it wasn’t modified after I ran startDump.sh. Was I supposed to run getForeignKeys.sh and getProcedures.sh, or did startDump.sh already run these? Can anyone provide an example of how this is to be run? The documentation doesn't provide a DB2 example.
Note: The DB2 Supplement: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15846_01/doc.21/e15286.pdf doesn't seem to discuss the offline capture. It doesn't reference the startDump.sh file at all.
