Database_Connection_JTDS

Question

HI,
This is karthikeyan. I am using this driver(net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver) for my ms sql server2000 database and
the connection string I used is ("jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://localhost:8080/kkk;user=win;password=win");
My CLASSPATH IS = .;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\bin;C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.0\webapps\karthi\WEB-INF\lib
JAVA_HOME IS = C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0
MY java PATH = C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\bin;C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\BINN
Here I kept my library files i.e jdbc driver (jtds-1.2.jar)
C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.0\webapps\karthi\WEB-INF\lib
When I run my java program I am getting the following error.
java.sql.SQLException: Network error IOException: Connection refused: connect
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your solution. I made the changes in the path the error is corrected but I got new error as "I/O Error: DB server closed connection" . For the new error I found the solution as to change my Server Name to the my sql server name and the port number as 1433. in the connection string i.e (jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://KINGS:1433/karthi;user=win;password=win). But I received the same error after I made the above changes.
I also tried adding the "ssl=request" in url properties. The same error is raising.
Send me solution as soon as possible.
