Database objects behind stats on "Concurrent Processing Dashboard" ?
I want to define a new report in oem grid about concurrent processing on a ebs target. i saw that there is some minimal stats in the 'Concurrent Processing Dashboard'. What are the DB tables used to generate this screen ?
By the way there is a bug, all number are displayed like : 2.000000 ....
Thanks
Hi,
What if both nodes have all modules active? (host, admin,cm,forms, web) except the database of courseDo you mean to say all application services are up and the database is down? If yes, then there must be something wrong with the dashboard itself (if the database is down, you will not be able to access the application or even access OAM).
Thanks,
Hussein

Hi,
In R12, if i bring down services adstpall.sh, there are some concurrent managers and processes still running even after 15 minutes.
I used to kill them.
Is there a better way ? do I have to run cmclean.sql or bounce the database after killing processes?
Thanks.appsdba_new wrote:

Why do you have to kill those processes?
If you need to kill those processes, then you also need to kill the database sessions associated with it -- Concurrent Processing - How to Find Database Session & Process Associated with a Concurrent Program Which is Currently Running. (Doc ID 735119.1)
Running cmclean.sql script may not be required here but there is no harm in running it.

Database schema SCM does not contain the associated database objects
I am getting the following error when i am trying to migrate the form to apex using application migration.
"*Database schema SCM does not contain the associated database objects for the project, aafs.*
*Ensure the database schema associated with the project contains the database objects associated with the uploaded Forms Module .XML file(s).* ".
Actully i am having one schema which i named as SCM, and i have defined one table TT.
I created one form test.fmb in which i used TT table.its compiled successfully.
Then i generated the xml file using frmf2xml from fmb file. After that, I created the project in appication migration wizard in SCM schema.
Project creattion is working fine.but when i m trying to create application,it is showing me above error.
can any one help in solving this problem.Hi Hilary,
Thanks for your response/feedback.
1. The schema associated with the project does not contain the necessary objects Can you please verify that the schema associated with your Forms conversion project does in fact contain the objects associated with the uploaded files. Could you also verify that the object names referenced in the error message do not exist within the schema associated with your workspace. Ensure that the schema associated with the project contains the necessary database objects before proceeding to the generation phase of the conversion process.
Ans:
Yes it does contain the objects (See results from SQL query Commands below):
SELECT MWRA_CONTRACT_NO, OLD_CONTRACT_NO FROM PROJECTS@CONTRACT_LX19.MWRA.NET
ORDER BY MWRA_CONTRACT_NO
000000569 551TA
000000570 553TA
000000575 560TA
000000576 561TA
000107888 502TA
000108498 500TA
000108502 503TA
2. The block being converted contains buttons, which may have been incorrectly identified as database columns, and included in the original or enhanced query associated with your block This is a known issue ,bug 9827853, and a fix will be available in our upcoming 4.0.1 patch release. Some possible solutions to this issue are:
-> delete the buttons before generating the XML
-> delete the button tags from the XML
-> add "DatabaseItem=No" for the button in the XML file before importing it in Apex. The button is excluded when creating the Application.
Ans
yes it does contain push buttons to transfer to another forms and these are defined as Non data base items. Parial XML code provided below:
-

<Trigger Name="WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED" TriggerText="GO_BLOCK('REPORT_1');" />

-

<Trigger Name="WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED" TriggerText="GO_BLOCK('TRACKHDRS');" />

3. If you are still experiencing issues, then please create a testcase on apex.oracle.com and update this thread with the workspace details so I can take a look.
Test case details are given below. It was created per ORACLE for open Service Request Number 3-1938902931 on ORACLE Metalink.

Comments:
For my migration/testing purpose a dabatase link and synonyms have been setup by our ORACLE DBA. Could this be causing this problem?
Do we know when the fix 4.0.1 patch release will be available?
Thanks for your help.

Re: JDeveloper not showing database objects in"Oracle Applications"Adapter?
Hi
I am trying to create a BPEL process through JDeveloper10.1.3.4 and using a Oracle Application Service. When using the Adapter Configuration wizard, i am successfully able to connect to the database but when there is an option to select the inteface to the Oracle Application Data for table/views/APIs/Concurrent Programs after clicking Next
I am getting an alert that says you are connected to 11.5.10 instance, Add the database objects.
After clicking in Add - Oracle Aplications Module Browser comes up with Blank values and nothing works here, neither Search nor Browse and just has a cancel button.
Please if some body has faced similar issue or has understanding on it, help me on this.
ThanksYou'll have better luck posting in the right forum. This one is for issues relating to Oracle's ODBC driver.
I'm not familiar enough with JDEV to know which forum that is top of my head though.

1. Since you can not reproduce the issue from sysadmin responsibility can we say the issue specific to Receivables Manager

2. You said before: "Concurrent process for XML Publisher fails with warning. Cannot see Diagnostics

Is the above mean :
-The xml publisher report completed but you can not view the whole XML file
-Or the xml publisher report error out with "Jave.sql SQL Exception No corresponding LOB data found: select File_data_dbms_lob.."

How to get the List of Database Objects (Table/View) for a given APEX Page.
Hi,
I have an application and that consist of pages like page1,2,3,.....
*1.* I want a report which can give me the list of all the Pages1,2,3,....
I am using the following query to acheive this.... THIS IS FINE..
select a.workspace, a.owner, a.application_name, b.page_id, b.page_name
from apex_applications a,
apex_application_pages b
where a.workspace = b.workspace
and a.application_id = b.application_id*2. Now, I want for each individual page*, the list all the database objects (tables/views), which that page is using.
I am using ALL_DEPENDENCIES , but I am not getting the result.
So, want to know if there any view/table, where I can get the Application Pages & there database object list...
Thanks,
DeepakHari,
Thanks for the response.
The view APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_DB_ITEMS will only give me the table name related to any Page Items defined to that page..It will not give me all the database objects..
suppose we have a Page, having a report based on multiple tables and there is no Page items defined on that page, we will not have any value in this ....DB_ITEMS table. same thing if we have define some PL|SQL(using some table/view) in a Process, that will not be populated in .....DB_ITEMS table. I want some thing like all the database objects (table/views/function/procedure/.....) for a particular Page ID.
Thanks,
Deepak -
Forced to remap one database object at a time
Our application exposes a set of data objects (views) for external reporting. Field/row level data security conditions are built into the view definitions. Different access levels are segmented by schema names and in order to enable report reuse object names are identical between schemas.
Users granted schema rights based on their access level.
For example, user A is granted access only to the schema X which contains View1, View2, etc. while user B is granted access only to the schema Y which also contains View1, View2, etc.
User A can reuse report created by user B (since object names are identical), however s/he cannot do it without first changing the data source location (since their access levels and therefore schema names are different).
However, "Set Datasource Location" dialog (see sample screenshot below) does not allow one-click schema remapping. "Current Data Source" hierarchy does not directly expose schema name (it is listed as an "Owner" property of the individual table/view object) which forces user to remap one database object at a time by expanding top and bottom trees, highlighting matching objects and clicking "Update" button.
Our question is: are there any menu items/settings or any other facilities in Crystal Report that would allow us to make re-mapping process less time-consuming?Hi Len,
No, bottom line is the designer is used to "finalize" the report. It's not designed to be use this way. What I suggest you do is create an application that can set location/schema at view time to that person logging in. This way it's all done in the back end and relatively easy to do using one of our SDK's.
Depending on what development tool and Report engine you use depends on which forum to post your question to. SAP will not create the application for you so you will need to get a developer involved.
Thank you

Single queue: concurrent processing of messages in multiple consumers
Hi,
I am new to jms . The goal is to process messages concurrently from a queue in an asynchronous listener's onMessage method by attaching a listener instance to multiple consumer's with each consumer using its own session and running in a separate thread, that way the messages are passed on to the different consumers for concurrent processing.
1) Is it ossible to process messsages concurrently from a single queue by creating multiple consumers ?
2) I came up with the below code, but would like to get your thoughts on whether the below code looks correct for what I want to accomplish.

if the messages are sent with quality of service EO (=exactly once) you can add queues.
From documentation:
Netweaver XI -> Runtime -> Processing xml messages -> Queues for asynchronous message processing
...For incoming messages you set the parameter EO_INBOUND_PARALLEL from the Tuning category.
If more than one message is sent to the same receiver, use the configuration parameter EO_OUTBOUND_PARALLEL of the Tuning category to process messages simultaneously in different queues.

TP4 : big instability in offline database object edition and diagraming
I encountered a lot of problems when editing offline database objects and in database diagraming.
Foreign keys don't appear in diagram after creating it, i'm not able to delete a broken foreign key (the ok button don't react, i can only cancel my changes).
It is no more possible to drag and drop attribute from a table to another table (copy).Peter,
Glad to see you took my advice and posted your question over here. Although I am a frequent user of the Oracle usenet groups, I have found that this is a much better place to get help with Spatial. My experiences suggest that the population of people using spatial is small--and of them the ones that really know alot are few and far between. I can only claim to be in the former group.
As far as your problem goes--this is probably something you've already considered--is there a way to model the data such that you don't have to replicate the geometry components? Another option would be to handle the replication without using snapshots. Examples would be to export the data and then ftp/copy it to the target machines and import it. If you need real-time replication you could experiment with triggers that execute INSERTs/UPDATEs/DELETEs on the remote databases. This of course has its own issues--but you're going to end up with some sort of compromise no matter how you slice this.
Of course you could use the relational model. I have never used it so I'm hard pressed to give any advice on it. As I posted on the usenet board, it is heading for desupport in 9i Release 2 according to the documentation available. So if you go relational you'll eventually have to migrate to object/relational. I'm not sure how automatic (or non-automatic) that process is. Hopefully someone on here will have some more concrete advice on that.
Good luck.

Database link problem in a page process
I'm trying to access a function over the database link in a page onload process. The called function located in another schema returns a varchar2 value, based on this value, I'll be doing appropriate navigation. But it's giving the following dblink error. However the select statement below works fine in sqlplus. any ideas are appreciated.
ORA-04054: database link testschema does not exist
DECLARE
v_check varchar2(10) := NULL;
BEGIN
execute immediate 'select is_valid@testschema(&APP_USER., 10) into v_check from dual';
END;
thanks,
SuryaFirst you don't want to use &. anything in sql - use a bind variable and the using clause.
Second, what if you try creating a view with the dblink in there and call the view? Does that change the error? -

Could you please help me out of the issue?Hi,
It seems like that you are encountering event 31552, you may check operation manager event logs for more information regarding to this issue.
There can be many causes of getting this 31552 event, such as:
A sudden flood (or excessive sustained amounts) of data to the warehouse that is causing aggregations to fail moving forward.
The Exchange 2010 MP is imported into an environment with lots of statechanges happening.
Excessively large ManagedEntityProperty tables causing maintenance to fail because it cannot be parsed quickly enough in the time allotted.
Too much data in the warehouse staging tables which was not processed due to an issue and is now too much to be processed at one time.
Please go through the links below to get more information about troubleshooting this issue:
The 31552 event, or “why is my data warehouse server consuming so much CPU?”

Data managers and database objects
Hi,
I'm considering replacing our current database interface libraries with OCCI. A couple of questions:
- Are database objects such as tables and columns accessible as OCCI types eg.
Table tbl;
Column col;
Note: I'm not interested in using Oracle user types at the database level here, unless there is no other way.
- Is OCI programming also required or is the OCCI conclusive (I know it's built on OCI)?
Regards,
Michael- Are database objects such as tables and columns accessible as OCCI types
No. Data types are represented as classes, but to run a query you execute a statement which returns a resultset which you query with functions like getInt(1) or getString(2) which returns an int for column 1 and a string for column 2. OCI style casting of dvoid**'s to objects is not necessary as OCCI gives you the object directly.
- Is OCI programming also required or is the OCCI conclusive
I assume you mean comprehensive, in the sense that it exposes the full range of OCI functionality. No, and I don't believe OCCI/OCI interoperability has been implemented yet either (ER 3169746 is still open for this feature), so unlike Pro*C where you can fill in the gaps with OCI code, you are limited to OCCI's limitations (unless you have separate OCCI and OCI parts in the same application, just replacing with OCCI the parts that can be replaced with OCCI). -
After starting Apps. and going to the apllication manager I noticed that there is a X under concurrent processing and a tick under the others. Is this X a problem?
I didn't noticed any errors when running the startup scripts, all the exit stauses was 0. One thing though, when I do a ps - ef | grep FNDLIBR I get 7 lines resembling the follwoing:
applmgr 1385 1259 0 08:32 ? 00:00:00 FNBLIBR
applmgr 1388 1259 0 08:32 ? 00:00:00 FNDLIBR
I am running Linux Red Hat, with apps 11i.5.10.2 and the database is 9.2.0.6
Any help gratefulTry to start the concurrent manager with the below steps and post the output /Error displayed on screen
1.Log in as Applmgr
2.Execute the environmental file
3.Navigate to common_top/admin/scripts
4.Execute the command
./adcmctl.sh apps/apps start -
