Dataminig task in ssis

I have written the connection for datamining query task in ssis and my properties have gone wrong.
provider:.net providers for oledb ,Microsoft OLEDb provider for analysis services and it asks for server name i have given my server name and then tested connection connection succeded but i couldnt get the mining strucuture
could you please help me in getting the mining structure please let me know if missing something if u need any further details please let me know

Based on my test, I can reproduce the issue when the instance of Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services you specified doesn’t contain the mining structure.
Please note that the Data Mining Query task requires two connections. The first connection is an Analysis Services connection manager that connects either to an instance of Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services or to an Analysis Services project that contains
the mining structure and the mining model. The second connection is an OLE DB connection manager that connects to the SQL Server database that contains the table to which the task writes.
So to fix this issue, please make sure the Analysis Services Connection Manager connect to an instance contains mining structures. We can connect to the instance via SSMS to check it under cubes.

Hi Adesh,
First, make sure the package runs in 32-bit runtime mode (set Run64BitRuntime property to False) because you are using the 32-bit ACE OLE DB Provider. If it is not the case, the issue may occur due to the corrupted drivers or registry keys. You can try to
reinstall the 2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components as Arthur suggested.

Customized Execute SQL Task in SSIS

Hi,
I,m using Execute SQL Task in SSIS Package with these configuration ..
But, If SQL Statement doesn't report any record mean Query is not returning any data then this Task will be failed.
How can I assure that If there is no record is returning in query that " Execute SQL Task " should bot be executed .
Also I If I can do the same thing through other methods in SSIS, Pls response .

Hi Ashish,
The Execute SQL Task failed because you had set the ResultSet to “Single row”, however, the SQLStatement didn’t return any records. If you don’t want to execute this task when the query doesn’t return any records, you can use the following method:
Create a String type variable RowCnt, add another Execute SQL Task prior to this task.
In the new Execute SQL Task, input the SQLStatement as “Select Count(*) From Table”, set the ResultSet to “Single row”, and map the result set 0 to the variable RowCnt.
Join the two tasks (green line), and edit the Precedence Constraint (Green line), and set the expression to “(DT_I4)@[User::RowCnt]>0”.

XML Task in SSIS 2012

Hi All,
I need help on one requirement in SSIS 2012, Please let me know for any suggestions or solution.
I have two XML files having different structure, I have to manipulate data by applying XSLT and creating single output xml. (Which needs to pass these 2 Xml files and 1 xslt to SSIS task)
In SSIS we have in-built XMLTask which will take XSLT operation of 1 xml and 1 xslt to deliver new output xml, Is there any way to pass 2 xml files and 1 xslt to get new output xml?

I'm having a problem using the Foreach Loop container that contains an XML Task followed by a data flow task. When I run my package in the debugger,
the XML Task fails with the following errors: [XML Task] Error: An error occurred with the following error message: "Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.". [XML Task] Error: Property "New Source" has no source Xml Text; Xml Text is either
invalid, null or empty string.
The Foreach Loop container is a file enumerator. The XML Task validates XML files using an XSD file. The XML Task SourceType is a XSLTand the Source has the variable set by the Foreach Loop (index 0). I have an XML file which I know is valid. For some reason,
the XML Task Source is not referencing the variable, set by the Foreach loop.
If I use a file connection to the existing XML file, instead of using the variable, the XML Task validates the file successfully. I believe there might be a bug in the XML Task when a variable is specified. If I disable the task and let my data flow task run,
it has no problem importing each XML file, in the directory, using an XML Source that uses the Foreach loop variable for the Source. My data flow completes correctly.

How do I create an Event Handler for an Execute SQL Task in SSIS if its result set is empty

So the precedence on my entire package executing is based on my first SELECT of my Table and an updatable column. If that SELECT results in an empty result set, how do I create an Event Handler to handle an empty result set?
A Newbie to SSIS.

Depends upon what you want to do in the eventhandler. this is what you can do
Store the result set from the Select to a user variable.
Pass this user variable to a Script task.
In the Script task do whatever you want to do including failing the package this can be done by failing the script task, which in turns fails the package. something like
Dts.TaskResult = Dts.Results.Failure

Web Service Task in SSIS 2012

I have a web service task that worked fine prior to upgrading from SQL Server 2005, but in 2012 fails with an error saying the "wsdl file is invalid". I am using the same wsdl file as I was using in 2005. Connectivity tests for the
web service connection manager in 2012 worked fine. Any ideas on why I would be getting a failed wsdl file when it worked ok on the 2005 platform? Below is the specific error:
[Web Service Task] Error: An error occurred with the following error message: "Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Tasks.WebServiceTask.WebserviceTaskException: Could not read the Web Services Description Language (WSDL) file. The input WSDL file is not valid.

Need to open the package for editing and resave, perhaps there were changes in how the Web Services task is persisted to package file. (a more typical upgrade path is SSIS 2005 to SSIS 2008, then 2012)

Execute SQl Task Error SSIS Package

Hi all,
I`m using for each loop container in my package to grab the file name from the source path. I have created 2 vairables
FilePath and SourceFolder
I`m using execute sql task inside the container and this is my query
Insert into [dbo].[DCA_FF_TEST] (File_Name,File_Date) SELECT File_name = ?,
File_Date = GetDate()
Please not the Table I am trying to insert has more columns but at this stage I dont need them.
When i execute the task I get an error
[Execute SQL Task] Error: Executing the query "
INSERT INTO [dbo].[DCA_FF_TEST] ([File_Name],[F..." failed with the following error: "The statement has been terminated.". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters
not set correctly, or connection not established correctly.
Can someone point me in the right direction? Am I missing anything?

Parameter Mapping: Variablename: FilePath , Direction: Input, datatype : Varchar, Parametername: 0, ParameterSize: 100.

Issue with Dataflow Task in SSIS Package

Hello Everyone,
I have recently created an SSIS package to Load data from Flat file to SQL Server Table, it was working fine. Now I have bought a new laptop and copied the projects into this new system and changed all the connection managers(Flat files) accordingly.
Problem is, when I previously ran the package(With File1) in old laptop and check the distinct count on a table it was perfect, but when I ran the same package with same File on New Laptop, the Distinct count gives me an issue with particular record.
Eg: Distinct Count with old laptop Run , 10,20,100
Distinct Count with old New Run , 10,20,100 , 100
There is a Space being generated for a particular record, when I run the package on new laptop with same File as old one.
Any suggestions on this, I could not exactly figured out the Issue.

I do not know how the "distinct count" works.
Seems to me it appears to be a database issue not SSIS.

Are unique GUIDs required in the data flow task in SSIS?

Hi,
I have previously used SQL server 2008R2 to develop packages. I was told not to copy and paste packages, or create templates with tasks on the data flow because this leads to multiple packages with the same GUID, the consequence of this might be calamitous
problems at runtime when the engine can't distinguish between tasks in different packages.
My process was to create templates with Control flow tasks only, manually create the dataflow tasks and then use bids helper from codeplex to regenerate GUIDs (this regenerated the GUIDs at the control flow level only).
I am now using SQL 2012. I have looked and seen that if I copy and paste a package the GUIDs at the data flow level are also copied. So my questions are:
1) Does having the same ID in different dataflows cause problems as I was led to believe?
2) If it does has this been addressed in some way in SSIS 2012? and what is the best way of working around this given I have many similar packages to develop?

SSIS doesn't really lend itself well to creating templates.
SQL 2012 is much improved when it comes to copy and pasting tasks, dataflows and transformations between package designs, other than the usual issues with missing connection managers.

Byte input to Webservice Task in SSIS 2012

I have just created a new project in SSIS 2012 and I am using a webservice task in a package.
I imported the WSDL file and I have several inputs to set to use it properly.
I put variables on the 4 first inputs that are strings with success but I have a problem with the last one.
The last one is called xmlData and is in "byte" type and I can not set it correctly.
In the XSD file I have this definition: <xsd:element
minOccurs="0" name="xmlData" nillable="true" type="xsd:base64Binary"
/>
It is supposed to contain a XML file that I have to encode in base64 and then fill the xmlData with the binary value.
To encode my XML file to base64 I use a C# task but I do not know how to declare the value and how to set it.
I do it this way:

My variable User::monXmlData is an Object and there is no problem in execution.
The C# script runs well and the webservice task too but I always get an error response for the webservice saying that my xmlData field is not correct.
I think that my base64 encoding is correct because when I copy the result in my messagebox and paste in base64 decode on a free web decoder I get my original XML text.
Is there someone who can help me please?

I have finally found the solution.
The Base64 encoding is not necessary. It is automatically done by the webservice when the request is sent.
The important thing to remember is that when you have to send a "byte[]" variable, you have to use a "Object" variable as an imput for the webservice.

You should be able to use standard Execute package Task.

Using dynamic options (expressions) you can change most of the settings during run time.
Sorry as far as I know its not possible to refer to packages within another project in Integration Services catalogs from execute package task. There are only two options available as ReferenceTypes.
A value of Project Reference means referred package also have to be within the same IS project. The other option which is External reference is provided for legacy deployment model which means you can only refer to the packages deployed in MSDB or FileSystem
through this option.
Also one more thing to note is you'll never be able to import an individual package from IS catalog project. You've to import the complete project and then get the package from it by unzipping. It will exist as a ispac file and not as individual .dtsx files
upon importing.

Scripting Language Options for the Script Task Options SSIS 2012

Can python or perl be used as a script language in the drag and drop script task? I believe only VB.Net and C# are, but I see under SSDT Tools -> Options there are some choices for Python Debugging? I'd like to use python as my SSIS scripting language
in some cases. If it can not be used as the script task language, what are the Python options under Tools -> Options for?
Any experts out there who can illuminate?

In SSDT in a SSIS Script task you can only use Visual Basic.NET and C#, no other programming / scripting languages.
SSDST is a plugin for Visual Studio and in VS you will find several options which are irrelevant for SSIS projects, like this Phyton debugging option.

SQL 2005 SP2 - Cannot open Data Flow Task in SSIS

I have just installed Service Pack 2 on my SQL 2005 Standard Edition.
However, now all my SSIS packages will not allow me to open my Data FLow Tasks. I get the following error:
TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio
Cannot show the editor for this task.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The task returned an unsupported control editor type. (Microsoft.DataTransformationServices.Design)
If I try to create a new Data Flow task I get:
TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio
Failed to create the task.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The designer could not be initialized. (Microsoft.DataTransformationServices.Design)
I have tried to install the latest hotfixes after this but they had no effect.
Can anybody help me???? Please?
