DATASET_WRITE_ERROR :How to know the value of a field at the time of error?

Hi All,
I have an ABAP code that write some records to a flat file. Am getting a DATASET_WRITE_ERROR when this program is run.
in ST22 i checked for any info that could be of help.
The Error Text is: "No Space left on device"
Error code: 28.
Now i want to know after writing how many records did the program threw the error.
I have a counter named WRITE_CTR. <b>Is there any way in the debug mode I can check for the value of WRITE-CTR just before the program terminated ?</b> checking the value of counter each time a record is written is not practical as there are almost 40k records in total.
In ST22 i checked the section "Chosen Variables". unfortunately this counter's value is not listed there.
Please let me know if there is any way i can see the contents of a field just before a short dump is generated.
Otherwise is there any option during debug that i can set a breakpoint on a statement when the field WRITE-CTR=<some value> say when WRITE-CTR = 30000 ?

Ok. Havent used Try..Catch in ABAP. I'll try using that. That should be a better way. Thanks.
I think it throws the error only after 20 or 30000 records are written. So its not possible to set a breakpoint where it writes to file and check which all records are written.
I wanted to know if there's any way to know the value of a filed just before the error is thrown. In the 'Watch' feature i saw an option to select a field and then give a comparison operator and all. Do you know how to use that ? Will that help me to break the execution when a field value equals a limit ? Just wondering what the Watch option is for!!

You can see that &CustName is not getting the proper value. Do I need to do something different?

You cannot call the form with OA.jsp . This is applicable only for OAF based pages registered as a function.
For calling a Form, use the below example:
You have to change the application responsibility key and form function name .
"form:PN:PN:STANDARD:XXPNTLEASE:QUERY_LEASE_ID={@QueryLeaseNumber}"

What is the JavaScript to copy the value from a field to the clipboard?

I have a "Save As" Button scripted. But would like the button to first copy the value "SiteCode" so when the user is prompted to enter in the name they can just paste it.
Anybody got any ideas?

That's not possible. It is possible to save to an existing folder with a filename derived from one of more field values, but the code that does that save has to be in a folder-level JavaScript file or in a certified document that the user chooses to trust for privileged JavaScript execution. So each user would have to manually install the JavaScript file or manually add the certificate to their list of trusted certificates and specify that it's trusted for privileged JavaScript execution.
I've had good success providing instructions for copying the field name from a form field so that the user can paste it as the field name in the Save As dialog that's invoked using an "Execute a menu item" action (File > Save As), so this might be a viable alternative you can use.

How can we change value of a field in the Repeating Table using SharePoint Workflow 2013.

i have created a jspx page and manages bean with page flow scope..
in my jspx page i am searching a employee record from the data base . and getting entire employee details including 'status' as a search result.
here i want to pass the value of 'status ' field to the managed bean variable called 'stval'.

As per the details provided in the post above, when the user clicks on the search in the af:query, the results are populated in the table. And you are interested in getting the value of particular column. This could be done by having the custom row selection listener to get the value of the current row (selected row in the table).

in this badi please see the importing and exporting parameters, you will get the values of withholding tax code as TE_RBWS in export parameters.

How to know where the value of a field in an IDoc is saved?

I'm working in ECC 6.0. I have an Inbound Idoc of type WPUBON01. In the segment E1WPB01it has a field named BONNUMMER. My question is: How can I know what TABLE-FIELD is being populated with the value of that field? I mean, is there a way to know the mapping of the fields of an IDoc?

I did the following..
Go to the segement structure in SE12..
Double click on the data element for that corresponding field..
Then put a where used-list for that data element...To search in tables..
I got the table WPLST.

How to hide a field based on the value of a field in a different subform - null check doesn't work!

I'm using Javascript to set the actions. I need to hide a text field if the value of a field in another sub-form is null.
- tried checking the value of the other field for null - doesn't work
- tried setting a variable str2 where I know the value of the other field is available then checking that variable when I initialize the text field - doesn't work
What am I missing?

How does APEX check for null values in Text Fields on the forms? This might sound trivial but I have a problem with a PL/SQL Validation that I have written.
I have one select list (P108_CLUSTER_ID) and one Text field (P108_PRIVATE_IP). I made P108_CLUSTER_ID to return null value when nothing is selected and assumed P108_PRIVATE_IP to return null value too when nothign is entered in the text field.
All that I need is to validate if P108_PRIVATE_IP is entered when a P108_CLUSTER_ID is selected. i.e it is mandatory to enter Private IP when a cluster is seelcted and following is my Pl/SQL code

My problem is it is returning FALSE for all the cases.It works fine in SQL Command though..When I tried to Debug and use Firebug, I found that Text fields are not stored a null by default but as empty strings "" . Now I tried modifying my PL/SQL to check Private_IP against an empty string. But doesn't help. Can someone please tell me how I need to proceed.

I dont think in Floating point u can able to go for the decimal point display as it is for the minimum precission display..
Define the variable as the 'packed' type and then u can able to define the decimal point...

How do I get the value of a field object programatically after loading a report

I'm using CR 11.5 and VS2005 in a console application, there is no GUI. I have a report with a page header that has 3 field objects. These field objects, their values change for every record and I want to be able to capture the value of these field objects in code for further processing outside of CR. Is this possible?

I should explain a little more, the information I'm trying to obtain is in the Page Header section of the main report. There are subreports. Basically what I'm trying to put together is a list of how many pages are part of each record, the number of pages fluctuates per records so I need to be able to cycle through. Any other suggestions?

When accessing the fields on the report through the SDK you will only get what database field they are using for data. The internal data collection that is used by the report can be gathered using the rowsetcontroller from the ReportClientDocument.

Working from the Timeline Index, you can see lists of all clips in the sequence and their location in the timeline.
