Date and amount mask in XSF

Hi,
When utilizing  SmartForms for getting XSF output file, I've noticed, that dates and amounts are being formatted according country specific settings, i.e. date like MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY or DD-MM-YYYY etc. Similarly, the numeric values (amounts) are being formatted differently (1,234.56 or 1 234,56 etc.)
I would need to get rid from that masking and get only generic format in XSF output, i.e. 8 digit date (YYYYMMDD) and numeric values without any thousand separators, just with decimal dot (1234.56)
Does anyone know, how to turn this masking off?
Thank you

hi
&symbol(T)&    -- to remove the thousands  seperator.
Example:::&EKPO-MENGE(T)& -> 1234.560
Use---->&symbol(K)&  for Ignoring Conversion Routines

  • Country specific Date and Amount format

    Hi All,
            Is there any way we can change the date and amount format?
    Actually we are printing a Invoice smartform for US.
    Now i want to copy that smartform for European countries for minor changes in the layout. In the same way i have to change the date and amount format. Is there any way we can do with out hardcoding. Please help in this issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Bhanu P R Gattu.

    We have the same problem. Our WDA is running under a service user which has the US date format. Even if we do
    SET COUNTRY 'DE'.
    It does not change the display format to DD.MM.YYYY but retains MM/DD/YYYY.

  • Date and Amount format in BDC

    Hi friends,
       I am facing problem with date and currency format while uploading data through BDC.
       Plz. tell me how to handle the problems related to Date and amount format.
       Thanks in Advance

    Dear Punit,
    This is a common problem, when carrying out BDC.
    For example, while recording you met with the 2 fields --> MSEG-DMBTR (Curr) and MSEG-MENGE(Quantity).
    Go to SE11 --> MSEG --> Search for DMBTR --> Double click on the Data Element i.e. DMBTR --> Double Click on the domain WERTZ --> You can see under the block Output Characteristics : Output Length = 16.
    While declaring the TYPES Structure, make it CHAR(16).
    Similarly for MENGE --> Data Element : MENGE_D --> Domain : MENGE13 --> Output Length = 17.
    Make it CHAR(17).
    For Date field ---> CHAR(10).
    Consider this technique as the Rule-of-Thumb while doing BDC.
    Regards,
    Abir

  • Dates and Amounts are shown incorrectly

    Hi all,
    We are receiving emails from a custom workflow, but the dates and amounts are in European format (dd.mm.yyyy and 1.000.000,00).  I would like to change this to US format.  I have already looked at the User ID's of all involved, including WF-BATCH and RFC_USER and they have the correct setup, yet the work items and emails which come from these users have the wrong format.  Any suggestions?

    Are the e-mail generating steps executed in background (WF-BATCH format settings are relevant) or in foreground (executing user's format settings are relevant).
    Perhaps you've had an ABAP rookie in your house who has hardcoded the formats? It has been known to happen....

  • JDCB Driver not doing data transformation on Julian dates and amount fields

    Hi All,
    In our newly installed BI Publisher instance (10.1.3) is not doing any data transformation on JDE Julian dates and Decimals. I've read that these field values are supposed to be converted automatically. Is there some setting in the JDEJDBC driver connection that makes this happen?
    While working with Oracle support I've found the following:
    1. Beware of white space in the collection string.
    2. Make sure the JDE user logging in goes straight to JDE and has full view privlidges on the tables you are selecting on.
    3. Parameters are not supported by the JDEJDBC Driver -- this pretty much renders this application worthless. Does anyone know of any workarounds?

    Lets try com.jdedwards.as400.access.JDEWJDBCDriver (download from oracle support)
    JDEWorldJDBC.jar There is inbuild date conversion and decimal shift.

  • Want to maintain manual invoice number and amount in SAP

    Hi Experts!
    Currently I am facing one issue to keep tracking of the manual invoices that were actually submitted to customer.
    Amount in Manual invoice may be the club of SAP Invoices.
    To provide customer a error free Statement of Account, we need to maintain the manual invoice with following parameters:
    1.  Invoice Number (Manual)
    2.  Manual Invoice Date
    3.  Manual Invoice LPO Number
    4.  Manual Invoice Amount
    Also I want to know with which transaction the statement will print alongwith manual invoice references for making error free final statement of account.
    best regards,

    Hi Adnan,
    Not sure if I understand your requirement. Are you worried about the periodic (?) statement of account, or about posting of invoices in a way that they show up correctly?
    As for account statements, there are two main standard options:
    a) "Periodic account statements" - trans. F.27. You can schedule them regularly or ad-hoc. To make them work, you need to maintain a form behind a selected correspondence type (e.g. SAPP3) and then maintain an "account statement" indicator in vendor/customer master record (KNB1-XAUSZ, in Correspondence screen, has to be configured).
    b) Balance confirmation letters - trans. F.17 for customers or F.18 for vendors. They provide more flexibility in the layout of the form (e.g., first request, reminder, blind request, etc.) but in general are focused on "open items as of key date" which may not be what you require.
    Now, what do you need to print for each invoice? Invoice number can be either FI document nr (BELNR) or Reference (XBLNR) if you keep track of invoice numbering separately. Date and amount can also be printed on both types of statements (you need to make a choice between document and posting date). What is LPO number?
    Check these options and let us know what further question you have.
    Good luck,
    Jan

  • Regarding Weekend Dates and Holiday Dates - answer please

    Hi have
    Sales order date and amount sold columns in my report.
    The user requirement is they want to see all the sales that are done during the weekend and Holidays but the report should only show the
    sales order date and the amount (the weekend and holiday sale amount should roll up to the next business day total)
    lets say there was a sale on March 16th for $100, March 17th for $100 and for March 18th there is a sale of $100 the March 18th Sales amount should be $300 in the sales amount per day column.
    The orders are taken daily including the holidays and weekends and in the EBS 11 the source system the ordered date is the date the order was taken.
    In obiee 10g the reports and queries are showing all the orders that are placed on the actual day, does not matter its a holiday or weekend.
    the users does not want to see the weekend dates and holidays but they want the amount to be rolled up.
    How to convince the user that there is no capability in OBIEE 10g we cant get the orders by the calendar date.
    is there a function in obiee to roll up the weekend and holiday sales amount?
    They way Iam approaching this is
    imported the BOM_Calendar_date from EBS and doing the mappings in OWB(their ETL tool) filtering by the country USA
    and thinking about writing a function to roll the amount where the weekend holiday column is "NULL"
    if any one has any other idea please let me know.
    TIA

    How does day dim know about holidays? based on client or enterprise calendar you need to let know day dim!.
    You might have to customize day dim or else create custom table for holidays with date_wid as Jul 4 is holiday for this 20130704 is the key for that holiday and join this to day dim.
    Hope this helps, if does mark

  • Since few days iPhone 4 suddenly uses huge amount of data and battery, how to find out which App is guilty?

    Hi Community,
    since Friday my iPhone 4 startet using huge amounts of mobile data and rapidly wastes battery lifetime (50% in 3 hous!) It also gets quite warm even when I don't use it at all.
    I suspect an app does this, because in flight mode battery is ok.
    How do I find out which app is to blame without having to uninstall all apps?
    Thanks for your help.
    Kind regards
    Nymphenburg

    You need to look into using the SQL*Loader utility:
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96652/part2.htm#436160
    Also, Oracle supports BULK inserts using PL/SQL procedures:

  • Is the only way to import large amount of data and database objects into a primary database is to shutdown the standby, turn off archive log mode, do the import, then rebuild the standby?

    I have a primary database that need to import large amount of data and database objects. 1.) Do I shutdown the standby? 2.) Turn off archive log mode? 3.) Perform the import? 4.) Rebuild the standby? or is there a better way or best practice?

    Instead of rebuilding the (whole) standby, you take an incremental (from SCN) backup from the Primary and restore it on the Standby.  That way, if, for example
    a. Only two out of 12 tablespaces are affected by the import, the incremental backup would effectively be only the blocks changed in those two tablespaces (and some other changes in system and undo) {provided that there are no other changes in the other ten tablespaces}
    b. if the size of the import is only 15% of the database, the incremental backup to restore to the standby is small

  • What java collection for large amount of data and user customizable record

    I'm trying to write an application which operates on large amount of data. I want user could customize data structure (record) from different types of variables(float,int,bool,string,enums). These records should be stored in some kind of Array. Size of record: 1-200 variables; size of Array of those records: about 100000 items (one record every second through whole day). I want these data stored in some embedded database (sqlite, hsqldb) - access using simple JDBC. Could you give me some advise how to design thoses data strucures. Sincerely yours :)
    Ok, maybe I give some example. This will be some C++ code.
    I made an interface:
    class ParamI {
    virtual string toString() = 0;
    virtual void addValue( ParamI * ) = 0;
    virtual void setValue( ParamI * ) = 0;
    virtual BYTE getType() = 0;
    Than I made some template class derived from interface ParamI:
    template <class T>
    class CParam : CParamI {
    public:
         void setValue( T val );
         T getValue();
         string toString();
         void setValue( ParamI *src ) {
              if ( itemType == src->getType() ) {
                   CParam<T> ptr = (CParam<T>)src;
                   value = ptr->value;
    private:
         BYTE itemType;
         T value;
    sample constructor of <int> template:
    template<> CParam<int>::CParam() {
         itemType = ParamType::INTEGER;
    This solution makes me possible to write collection of CParamI:
    std::vector<CParamI*> myCollection;
    CParam<int> *pi = new CParam<int>();
    pi->setValue(10);
    myCollection.push_back((CParamI*)pi);
    Is this correct solution?. My main problem is to get data from the collection. I have to check its data type using getType() method of CParamI interface.
    Please could give me some advise, some idea to make it right using java.

    If you have the requirement that you have to be able to configure on the fly, then what I've done in the past is just put everything into data pairs into a list: something along the line of: (<Vector>, <String>), where the Vector would store your data and String would contain a data type. I would then make a checker to validate the input according to the SQL databypes that I want to support on the project. It's not a big deal with the amount of data you are talking about.
    The problem you're going to have is when you try to allow dynamic definition, on the fly, of data being input to a table that has already been defined. Your DB will not support that, unless you just store that data pair--which I do not suggest.
