Date Format to Input Element

Hi everyone,
I am using class object cl_dd_form_area. I have a couple of input elements. Is
there a way to set those input elements to have a text format like a date format?
mm/dd/yyyy ???
Any suggestions would be great.

U can use the statament WRITE with option USING EDIT MASK:
DATA: TEXT_IN(8) VALUE '02122008',
TEXT_OUT(10).
WRITE: TEXT_IN USING EDIT MASK '__/__/____' TO TEXT_OUT.

Date Format in Input Date Component

Hi,
I am using JDev 11.1.1.3.0. I have few Input Date component in the form. I need to display the selected date in upper case. Basically the month in upper case.
Currently it displays '01-Aug-2012'. I need it to be displayed as '01-AUG-2012'.
Tried adding format but still the month is displayed in initial caps. Really appreciate if someone can help me in fixing this issue.

There is no format to archive this. Check http://docs.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/text/SimpleDateFormat.html which give you all format patterns used by the inptutDate component.
I have not tried this, but you should be able to use a converter, which you have to write yourself, to make the month uppercase.

How is XY data formatted for input to the Pulse Parameters function?

I'm not sure how Pulse Parameters is calculating items like rise time or slew rate, where time and amplitude are needed, from a 1D array. How is this done?

Date Format in ADF

How can i set Date format for Input Date Field in ADF ,I am using JDeveloper 11

You can try using a domain for all your date fields.
I'm not sure how to wire up this in the UI but I guess it's possible.
If you just want the format the UI part for all dates, you can use a converter for every dte files and read the pattern for the converter from a bean via EL.

CalendarUI element showing different date format for different locations

Hi,
I have an input field with date calendar in my webdynpro Java form . User can select date from this calendar and fill the input field. For this I have used input field in my layout and have binded this with one context attribute of type date. Say name of this field is requiredByDate
Now when I build and deploy my code, I can see the the required By date field and user is able to select date values from the calendar button next to the input field. The format of the date selected is mm/dd/yyyy.
However , when a user tests this application from other location say Malaysia, for him the format is coming as dd/mm/yyyy after selecting the date from the calendar.
Just want to know ,is there is difference in date format for differnt locations ? For India, when you select the date its showing mm/dd/yyyy and for Malayisa its showing dd/mm/yyyy.
Is there anything we can do by changing our system settings like timezone or dateformat in system settings.
I am using standard UI element and binding it with context element of type date.
Need your advice or help on this..

All,
What is the Date Format on OWB 11.1.0.7 to use for passing in an input parameter for a mapping to execute?
I have tried '01-01-2010','01-JAN-2010','01.01.2010', 01/01/2010 and I get the following error:

The function wb_rt_conversions.from_date is (at least in OWB10.2) overloaded and can with input-types as
date, timestamp_unconstrained, timestamp_tz_unconstrained, timestamp_ltz_unconstrained or varchar2.
If it doesn't work with varchar2 I would try Date:
For example: to_date('2010-01-01','YYYY-MM-DD')

(Input and) output formats from Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac

I noticed that (until midnight PT, anyway) Amazon has Photoshop Elements for the Mac at a lower price than usual. This brings up a question for me: What output formats can Photoshop Elements 6 produce? In particular, can it produce PNG? Also, can it accept PNG as input?

I think that all the formats like .bmp, camera RAW, EPS,PICT, TIFF, Filmstripn, IFF, JPEG, Photoshop pdf, Photoshop RAW,PNG etc are supported for both input and output.

Date Format for the input Variable

Hi all,
I got an issue with Date format we enter in the input variable screen for the BEx Analyzer.
We have given a format of MM/DD/YYYY. But when the users accessed the report, it is not taking the format of the variable i.e MM/DD/YYYY but it is taking the format of the users system.
If the user's system format is DD/MM/YYYY, it is accepting the input inthe same format only.
Why this strange behaviour?
My questions are
Is the input for BEx system specific? or variable specific?

I think it is user specific... you can maintain the date format for user ....
Go to SU01 transaction or.. Go to SYSTEM -> User Profile -> Own data
Here in defaults tab you can see the date formet for user...

Hi all,
We are trying to create a BIP Data Model based on an Answer, but after selecting report, it hangs when I try to Apply to create a query based on Oracle BI. When I try to open the query in aswers, going to results tab I'm getting this error (OBIEE 11.1.1.6.2):
ORA-01830: date format picture ends before converting entire input string at OCI call OCIStmtFetch
I suppose that BIP data model is not able to create it because of this error. But this answer is working fine inside dashboards, etc. It only does not work when editing it. Query is doing something like this: "USING "- Collection Attributes"."Due Date" >= TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY, -30, CAST ('01/04/2009' AS DATE))"
Any ideas?

Every report webi or deski having date field as prompt when viewed in view mode in infoview shows date format as M/d/yyyy h:mm:ss a.
Where this format is stored and how can we change it to dd/mm/yyyy.

I was up against a similar issue of placing the user input dates, Starting & Ending, into one cell for a reference on each report header. After a few hours of diligence, I came up with a working model that finally worked:
u_StartDateAsTXT=FormatDate(ToDate(UserResponse("Enter Date/Time Shipped (Start):");"MM/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss a");"MM/dd/yyyy")
and
u_EndDateAsTXT=FormatDate(ToDate(UserResponse("Enter Date/Time Shipped (END):");"MM/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss a");"MM/dd/yyyy")
The report header has the following function:
=u_StartDateAsTXT + u201C u2013 u201C + u_EndDateAsTXT

i am creating a report in 10g.. in which i want to convert Emp_lump_sum (number) to character .I have created a formula column in which i have written a function in the formula column and assign that formula column to the text field in which i want the result.
when the report run i get the following error....
ORA-01830: date format picture ends before converting entire input string..
i have tried with a attribute EMP_NO (Varchar2(30)), it shows the result but when i add EMP_LUMP_SUM (NUMBER) , it show the above error. on the database side i get the same error.
Database : 11g
OS :     Windows server 2003
reports   : 10g
any help will be thankful..

How to change data format from [IMAQ create -- output -- New Image ] to [Unflatten Pixmap VI -- input -- image data]

hi gays,
i have two program,
the first one use {IMAQ create} to get a image from USB webcam,
the second one is picture data process which use [Unflatten Pixmap VI] to get a image data from a BMP file.
Now I want to combine this two program, but data format don't match between the output of {IMAQ create} and the input of [Unflatten Pixmap VI].
My LabVIEW version is 2009
What can i do??

Where does one manage date formats for display and input

the user specification is that dates be displayed as YYYY-MON-DD. Is there a config or properties file which contains the date format for display? Is there a calendar drop-down that can be positioned next to a date input field for a question on a screen?

Curious why the rule project wasn't created with "English (Canada)" initially? If your project is English (UK) with the default configurations for that locale, then I assume your currency values are appearing in OWD with the GBP symbol (£) instead of a dollar sign ($)?
As for the impact of switching… I highly recommend getting confirmation from the OPA Dev team before doing it, but in the meantime, if you wanted to experiment on your own with a separate test rulebase (as opposed to whatever formal rulebase you're working on), here are my observations from an initial look… (FYI, I'm an experienced OPA rulie, but I'm non-technical and not in the Dev team, so best to check with them!)
I poked around the language parser files and saw that English (UK) has an English (UK) verb list, whereas English (Canada) uses the English (US) verb list. The vast majority of verbs are identical in all the variations of English, however, there are a couple which differ. So if you've used any verbs which have a different spelling between the 2 lists, there may be some attribute text to tweak, e.g.
- English (UK): the person travelled to Australia
- English (US): the person traveled to Australia
- English (UK): the person cancelled the reservation
- English (US): the person canceled the reservation
I saw some other different files between English (Canada) vs English (UK), but didn't notice anything in them which I'd expect to impact the rulebase.
As for how it might impact other components:
* screens file and the properties file – May be some tweaking depending on how you addressed the verb spelling issue above.
* regression test files – May be some tweaking depending on how you addressed the verb spelling issue above.
* messages.(locale).properties – The default messages.(locale).properties file appears to be based on the Language setting of the Project. I just tested this and OWD used a different messages.(locale).properties file when I changed the Project Language (OPM | File menu | Project Properties | Common Properties | General | Language).
* Siebel Connector – don't know what the impact would be.
OPA Dev team – Can you review what I've said here? And add any relevant further detail?

Problem with input data format - not "only" XML

I have problem with input data format.
I get some data from JMS ( MQSeries) , but input format is not clear XML.
This is some like flat file with content of XMLu2026.
Example:

Problems in this file is :
1. data before parser <? xml version="1.0"> -> 0000084202008-11-0511:37
2. data after last parser </Document> -> 000016750
This data destroy XML format.
Unfortunately XI is not one receiver of this files and we canu2019t change this file format in queue MQSeries ( before go to XI) .
My goal is to get XML from this file:

What is the XI adapter using?
If you use inbound File adapter content conversion you could replace these values with none and then pass it to the scenario.
