Date Formula In Detail Selection

Hello
I'm really new to business objects and could really do with some advice.
I have to use Business Objects 6 although, judging by what I have seen from this website, it is quite old!
I have selected the universe that I need, I have selected the fields that I need and my report is working perfectly. So far so good.
Now, what I would like to do is automate my report so that it will run over night but (and this is the bit that is giving me trouble), I would like it to run everynight but only run sales that were keyed on for 62 days from todays date (whatever today's date may be). This is so that it can run over the weekend without anyone logging in and having to physically run it.
I know that I need to do this in the first screen where I select my criteria but I can't seem to get it to accept a formula, it's seems to only want to set it up as a prompt.
Also, if anyone has any advice on getting it to automatically email the file out in .csv format, that would be great too!
Sorry if I am asking for the moon on a stick!!!

I don't think you're asking for the moon, but what you are asking to do would best be handled as a filter within your universe (the filter is added via Designer). Once the filter is built you would add it to your DeskI report (just drop it in the filter pane while you're editing "Edit Query" mode...). You have a good business statement, sales that were keyed on for 62 days from todays date, which should be easy enough for an experienced universe builder person to accommodate you ... good luck.

I calculate Beginning and Ending dates of periods ie: fiscal year to date, calendar year to date, last calendar quarter. I would like to pass both the beginning and end date to a formula in the Select Expert.

No data Exists for this selection in PSA.

I received an Error message with loading of 2lis_03_bf datasource..
Error message when processing in the Business Warehouse
Diagnosis

Hi,
While the load was in progress some one might have deleted the data in PSA or there might be a PSA deletion job running or there might be a PSA deletion chiain which includes this table. Check all these to find out how it got deleted.
In order to load the data again you can do a reload and probably it works fine this time.

No Data in Reports Details in Custom date range

Hello, iTunes U Public Site Manager Admins.
As the iTunes U Public Site Manager admin, I've been trying to access our institution's iTunes U Reports Details for a couple of days. (I send a monthly report of usage to our course/collection contributors.) When I custom the date range, under Details, there is zero entry; "No data available in table" message is shown.
This feature had been working well since Apple iTunes U added this enhancement on August 13, 2013. The report Details showed the exact stats for Browse, Subscribe, Download, Stream, and Enclosure for each course/collection in the custom date range.
Now under "Details", the data is shown only when the date range is Last 30 Days. It shows no data in custom date range when the Calendar is used to select a Start Date and End Date.
Has anyone else noticed this problem?

I used your suggestion and it worked very well. This is how I did it.
Export the range of data that includes Feb. 1-Feb. 28, 2014 as .tsv file.
Open that file in Excel.
Add a blank column next to the Date column. Use function =Month() to just extract the month into the new column. Fill down the whole column. Then copy and paste special (value) into the same column (I have over 26,000 rows of data in the file.) Converting to Value will allow for the next step of PivotTable.
Create a PivotTable for the 26,000 rows of data. Use Month as the Report filter, iTunes_ID as the Row Labels, Select Browse, Subscribe, etc. as the Sum Values. (The result is a summary table with about 200 rows.)
I then do a Vlookup to my premade Master file to add Category (course, collection, resources) and Instructor Name to each of the 200 rows.
That will do it for my monthly report.

Unrelated data in master detail sections of a custom BIP report deployed in R12 EBS

We have a custom Master Detail BIP report generated by calling XDO APIs from a custom Java concurrent program (common_report_attachment) . This Java concurrent program is called from another custom concurrent program (po_validation) that processes a batch of POs in a single concurrent request.
PO_Validation Program (processes a batch of POs per request) -> Java Concurrent Program -> BI Publisher Report APIs
BIP report generates data for master detail sections based on two sql queries (given below) that have 'where' clause based on a common external parameter "P_TRX_HDR_ID".
NOTE: No explicit data link is used NOR an output column of parent query is used in the where clause of detail query as bind parameter.

Issue: Sometimes when the parent concurrent request runs for a batch with multiple POs the report generated for the last PO has inconsistent data in the master and detail sections. To elaborate, the detail section is having correct data pertaining to the PO identified by the parameter "P_TRX_HDR_ID". However, the master section is having data pertaining to the previous PO processed from the same batch.
This issue is not occurring consistently and is not reproducible at will. I
'm suspecting this could be because of not having data link between the queries but confirm from someone who has experienced this issue.

Date formula variable with replacement path.

I have date formula variable with replacement path.
Variable pop up with date format yyyymmdd. but i want dd.mm.yyyy.
I have checked my user profile setting and it is dd.mm.yyyy.

Date Difference between to date formula variable

Hi Expert,
                I have create two formula variable one for Document Date and another one for Goods reciept date
and through formula variable I am subtracting these two formula variable and getting the no. of days between
document date and GR date.
This Shows me the correct value for one document date because i am filtering my query according to document
date,
while i am giving the date range for document date is shows me incorrect result. bucause document date formula
variable contains only one date.
Eg. i am giving the document date range like 01.02.2010 - 28.02.2010.
      In document date formula variable it contains only 01.02..2010 and GR date formula variable it contain correct
value, thats why the date difference is incorrect because those PO which has PO date like 12.02.2010 for that Doc
formula variable bring the same date like 01.02.2010.
Please tell me the solution

and i've restrict the query through PO date.
while i am taking the single PO date in Selection parameter it showing me correct difference
eg: Selection Parameter for PO: 01.01.2010
But while i am taking the date interval for PO date
eg: 01.01.2010-30.01.2010
PO No: XXXXX123 , Doc date: 01.01.2010 GR date: 7.01.2010 then date difference is : 6
PO No: XXXXX432, Doc date: 03.01.2010 GR date: 8.01.2010 then date difference is : 7 but it is 5

Creating a Fiscal Date formula

I have created a Crystal Report and wrote a formula that allowed me to match my database entries to my fiscal months. However, my subsequent year to date formula based off my month to date formula will only bring in current month data. It won't bring in previous month data. Is there an easy method within Crystal Reports to set the MonthtoDate function to a fiscal month? Or a formula that will use the MonthtoDate function based on a fiscal month rather than a calendar month?

Fiscal_Month actually compares two date fields in the database and uses the one which is not empty.
The formula below is my "Year to Date" formula. I've tried several different ways to write it, but it just mimmicks my current month formula.
In the end is just is a simpler way to write my first formula above. How can I make my year to date formula add all the costs that have occured to date?

Default the master / detail select lists

When I load a form that has pre-existing data I need to be
able to default the master / detail select lists to the correct
values.
(so the lists load with the correct values "selected" in each

How to view data in tables by selecting the synonym from the database objec

I could not figure out how to view data in tables by selecting the synonym from the database objects navigation tree. I had to first choose the synonym, view the details of the synonym to determine the table name, and then select the table from the database objects tree. Is this the only way available?

This functionality currently does not exist. I don't see it on the 1.1 statement of direction either, so perhaps someone from Oracle can give some insight as to when this could be expected.

Function or BAPI for Resource Detail Selection on Bussiness Event

I want to do a initial data load of Business Events (TEM). I need to load its resources in a detail form (dates and hours when resource is used by this business event). Does anybody knows any BAPI, function or class that load data in this detail form?.
I just want to replicated how works PSV2 (or PV10) transaction when you push the resource selection button, select the resource type and a detailed selection but as funtion or BAPI.

No Data when doing multiple selection of sub-brand in the cube

Hey everyone.
I am having a very strange situation.
No Data when doing multiple selection cube.
The thing is that the situation is created only in the transition between the servers, who have a different Build but both of them are SQL 2008R2 servers.
The Build of one of them is 10.50.2789.0 and the other one is 10.50.4000.0 (SP2).
The other properties of the cube are the same, it's Not possible to retrieve data from the cube on the server with the "SP2 when we the slicing is at the level of sub-brand and removed even one item mean we passed a multiple selection ,
This is possible only if we connect the cube as Admin .
While the server with the older "Build" the problem to perform the above operation when connected as a user not exist.
What can cause this problem,and how can we fix it?

According to your description, there are two servers in your scenario, and you cannot retrieve data from one of the cube, right? Are there any differences between the two cubes on different? You can import the database on the server into BIDS and explore
Data on the fact table on the Data Source View to check if there are any data. If we can see the data when we do Explore Data on the fact table on the Data Source View (DSV), but when we browse the cube here is no data. Then there are many possibilities for
this issue.
On the cube's Dimension Usage, the relationship between this measure group and the dimension is not correctly defined.
On the relational database, the dimensional key column on the fact table does not correspond to the key column on dimension table.
There is a Default Member on another dimension, and there is no fact table row that satisfy this condition.
If I have anything misunderstood, please point it out.

You can select the Payment Term at PO Header Level.
When you book an invoice, that Payment Term will automatically defaulted to Invoice.
You can define Payment Term in AP.
Payment terms have one or more payment terms lines, each of which creates one scheduled payment. Each payment terms line and each corresponding scheduled payment has a due date or a discount date based on either a specific day of a month, such as the 15th of the month, or a number of days added to your terms date, such as 14 days after the terms date.

Below is the date format which i select in select query, now how should i add date column below with Minutes Column.

what datatype is MINUTES column?
