Btw, the tmp_date was to manipulate the dates in such a way to see the p_start is greater than p_end.

Hi abapers,
We have one requirement in selection screen validation.
From date is Day 1 of the next period(month).
To date is Day 1 of the next period*(month) + (next) 3 months.
which function module we can use.
how we can pass the selection screen of this date.

Why we need the fun module
Just write the code as
select-options : s_date for sy-datum no display.
data: date like sy-datum, fdate like sy-datum, tdate is like sy-daum, mon(2),
mon1(2), mon2(2), year(4).
date = sy-datum.
year = date+0(4).
mon = date+4(2).
mon1 = mon + 1.
mon2 = mon + 3.
concatenate year mon1 '01' into fdate.
concatenate year mon2 '01' to tdate.
use the fdate and tdate and write the code

Hi,
In KLAH you get the list of Classifications linked to a Material. Give OBJEK = MATNR.
By giving CLINT in KLAH you find the corresponding CLASS.
in BAPI:
BAPI_OBJCL_GETDETAIL
pass following values:
OBJECTKEY = KSSK-OBJEK
OBJECTTABLE = 'MARA'
CLASSNUM = KLAH-CLASS
CLASSTYPE = KLAH-KLART

there is a tab "display object list" on the top of the sap screen when u r in dat function module. press that.
on the left side of ur screen there will complete lists of object used in fm. in includes there will a top include, declare all the variables u need globally in that top include. u can also create more includes for different performs if u want for modularizing ur program..

Not able to enter data in Function module

Hi,
I have created a function module with import parameter as a table.
I have executed the function module from SE37 and tried to enter the data in the table.
If I click the table...its not showing new line...its displaying a message that "THE OBJECT CAN ONLY BE DISPLAYED"
I dont thinkso taht I have done a setting like this...
please help me what might be the problem...

the issue has been resolved.
data can be changed only if the internal table creation is not in the form of SORTED table.
the internal table entries should not refer dataelement of type STRING.
because of these two things, I was not able to edit the internal table in the function modul.

You can make use of Dotnet connector to read the content of SAP RFC .. (eaiest of all)
The RFC can be executed using connector , and can read the data simultaneously.. u need to code in dotnet for this..
else create a webservice and read it from dot net ..

Upload data from excel with vba by calling a function module

Hello all,
i have a problem with the function module "ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE". I will call this function module with vba to load data from excel to sap with a Buttonclick. I have copied this function module and set it remotable. But i can´t call it from excel.
Can you give me some tips how can i
upload data from excel with vba by click a button.
The problem seems the function: call method cl_gui_frontend_services=>clipboard_import in the function module, because when i comment this function call the vba-call is true but no results.
How can I call the function module correct with vba?

How to get data from function module in crystal report

Hi,
I installed Crystal Reports 2008 and BO SAP Integration kit for CR.
I connected successfully to SAP system from CR but unable to get the data into Report ...
But data is present in function module.
Could you please tell me what may be the reason ...!!

I connected successfully to SAP system from CR but unable to get the data into Report with all the Input parameters and data is present in function module.
Note: - If we take Start date as input parameter in Crystal report data is coming for single parameter, whereas we take input parameters like Partner function, Region and Customer - we are not getting data. (These fields we created parameters in Crystal report)
In Function Module IMPORT Parameters are below mentioned and Export parameter is Blank
                                                                                Start Date (Mandatory field)

Is there a function module for "GL account open items at a key date" similar to following for customer and vendor accounts?

Bapi/function module to get opening or closing stock for a posting date

I am creating a report where i need to get the opening stock value and closing stock value for the given starting date and ending date respectively for the PP report.
The T-code for that is MB5B.
So,can any1 plzz tell me how i can get the stock value for a starting date/ending date...
Is there any BAPI or function module to find this out..
or any logic?

You would like to findout opening and closing stock of a particular period and of a particular period....
If we would like to findout opening and closing stock of material A as of 18 / 8 / 2008,
then do like this.
go to MBEW table .. there u get opening stock as on today. Today the date is 20/8/2008. from today's opening stock if we add / subtract the movements which have happened on 19/8/2008 and 18/8/2008 u'll get opening and closing stock as on 18/8/2008.
U get the movements from MKPF ( material doc header) and MSEG (material doc item ) based on posting date. In MSEG u get movement type.
If the movement type is 101, it means the stock is added.
If the movement type is 102, it means the added stock is reversed.
from today's opening stock deduct the stock with moverment type 101 and add the stock with movement type 102.
This will give u opening stock as on 18/8/2008.
To get closing stock of 18/8/2008 ..... the opening stock of 19/8/2008 is 18/8/2008's closing stock.

Function module to retain data for a given period.

Hi all,
This is my requirement:
I have a selection screen on which a specific number of months is entered. Using the FM 'FI_PERIOD_DETERMINE' and passing the current date to it, I'll be fetching the current fiscal year and fiscal period. I got to retain the data maintained in a custom table for that many number of months as is specified on the selection screen starting backwards from the current fiscal period obtained after the FM call. And thereby deleting all the data maintained in the same table prior to it.
Is there any function module to do so..... If not, kindly let me know the procedure to follow in order to obtain this requirements
