Date Type UI in JSP (similar to Web Dynpro)

Hi,
Is there any way in hbj or jsps to display calendar and allow user to choose any date from that calendar?
I know that there is similar type of UI element available in Web Dynpro .. an input field having calendar displayed at it's right corner.
Thanks and regards,
Amey Mogare

Hi Amey,
Using the simple line of code in your jsp, will help to achieve the same.
<hbj:inputField id="inDatle" type="DATE" showHelp="true" value=""/>

  • Example storing data in the default schema with a Web Dynpro application

    Hi,
    is there any example or tutorial for storing data in the default schema with a Web Dynpro application via SQLJ or Hibernate by using the default DataSource?

    Hi,
    When you create the TAB-Strip object you should be able to set the default displayed TAB against the properties of the TAB-Strip.

  • How to use EVS with different data in each row, in a Java Web Dynpro table?

    Hi all,
    I am using EVS in a column of java web dynpro table.
    Let's say the name, and context attribute, of this column is column1.
    It's filled dynamically using an RFC, that uses as input parameter the value of another column, and related context attribute, from the same table (Let's call it column2).  Obviously, from the same row. So, in other words: the values of the EVS in column1 of row1, are dependent of the value of column2 of row1. And the values of the EVS in column1 of row2, are dependent of the value of column2 of row2. And so on... Hope i could explain myself ok.
    The code I'm using works great for filling the EVS dynamically:
    IWDAttributeInfo attrInfo = wdContext.nodeDetail().getNodeInfo().getAttribute(nodeElement.COLUMN1);
    ISimpleTypeModifiable siType = attrInfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
    IModifiableSimpleValueSet<String> value = siType.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
    value.clear();
    if(this.initRFC_Input(nodeElement.getColumn2())){
         for (int i = 0; i < wdContext.nodeRFCresult().size(); i++){
              value.put(wdContext.nodeRFCresult().getRFCresultElementAt(i).getLgort()
                 , wdContext.nodeRFCresult().getRFCresultElementAt(i).getLgobe());
    In this code, nodeElement is the context row of the table that is passed dynamically to the method when the value of colum2 is changed.
    HOWEVER, the problem I'm having is that after executing this code, EACH NEW ROW that is added to the table has by default the same values as the first row, in the column1 EVS. And, for example, if I refresh the values of the column1 EVS in row 2, all EVS values in the other rows are also refreshed with the same values as the ones of EVS in row 2.
    How can I make sure each row EVS has its own set of independent values, so they don't mess with each other?
    Hope you guys can help me. And please, let me know if I didn't explain myself correctly!
    Thanks!

    I just did as you said (I think), but it's still having the same behaviour as before (same data for all EVS in the table).
    Here´s what I did:
    I
    In node "Detail" (cardinality 0...n, singleton set to true), which is binded to the table, I created a child node named "Column1Values" wth cardinality 1...1 and singleton set to false.
    "Column1Values" node has an attribute called "column1", of type String.
    I did the binding between attribute "column1" and the column1 inputfield celleditor in the table.
    I created an event called Column2Changed and binded it to the column2 celleditor of the table. I added a parameter called nodeElement of type IPrivateCompView.IDetailElement to this event, and mapped it to the column2 editor in the table so that I can dynamically get the nodeElement that is being affected.
    I added the following code to the onActionColumn2Changed(wdEvent, nodeElement) method that gets created in the view:
    IWDAttributeInfo attrInfo = nodeElement.nodeColumn1Values().getNodeInfo().getAttribute("column1");
    ISimpleTypeModifiable siType = attrInfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
    IModifiableSimpleValueSet<String> value = siType.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
    if(this.initRFC_Input(nodeElement.getColumn2())){
         for(int i =0; i < wdContext.nodeRFCresults().size(); i++){
              value.put(wdContext.nodeRFCresults().getRFCresultsElementAt(i).getId(),
                                  wdContext.nodeRFCresults().getRFCresultsElementAt(i).getDesc());
    And with this, I still get the original problem... When the EVS of one row is updated, ALL other EVS of the table get also updated with the same values.
    What am I missing? Sorry Govardan, I bet I'm not seeing something really obvious... hopefully you can point me in the right direction.
    Thanks!

  • Data node mapped to  Adobe Form empty - Web Dynpro ABAP

    Hi,
    I've created a web dynpro component in ABAP. One of the view contains an interactive Adobe form.
    Form properties : Data source and pdf source are mapped
    Enabled checked
    Submit action mapped to a method. This method reads the node mapped to the form.
    Form Layout: Used ZCI Layout and Inserted web dynpro script (XML interface)
    Dragged attributes from data view to create text fields.
    Submit button used from Web dynpro native group
    I could not read data from the form.
    When I submit the form, data is not captured in the context.
    I have used the same context for view and could save the data from the view. But from the adobe form, I cannot read the data.
    Is there anything I missed. I have been on this since 2 days with no solution. I dont see any mistake but the form doesnt work.
    Version: Adobe Designer : 8.1 (from market place)
    SAP Netweaver 2004s SP18
    Any help on this is appreciated.
    P.S. Used all possible help from SDN existing posts and SAP notes.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Srinivas,
    place a button on webdynpro view it self then try.
    make sure your form is working in interactive mode.
    else keep this conde in modifyview method.

  • Returning an array type from a local method in Web Dynpro Java application

    Hi,
    In my project, we have a requirement to display 18 rolling months along with the year, starting from current month.
    How I am going to approach is that I will get the system date and get the current month and send the month and year value to a local method which will return 18 rolling months along with the year.
    But, when I tried to create a new method there is no option to return an array type. It was greyed out.
    So, we can not return an array type from a method from Web Dynpro for Java application?
    If so, what is the alternative and how am I going to achieve it?
    I will appreciate your help!
    Regards
    Ram

    HI
    You can create new methods in
      //@@begin others
      private ArrayList MyMethod(){
           // ** Put your code here
           return new ArrayList();
      //@@end
    Other option are create a context node with cardinality 0...n with one or more attributes, and in your method create the needed registers into this node. To read this values, you only need to read your context node.
    Best regards

  • Date format to DDMMYYYY for leave request web dynpro

    Dear All,
    Can someone tell me how to change the date format to ddmmyyy in the leave request dynpro page. I already set in the parameter in SU01 but still it remain as mmddyyyy.
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Bryan

    Hi Brain,
    The Java Web Dynpro uses the Portal UME Language, rather than the SU01, if you set the user language to English UK via the Portal Identity Management the date will be displayed correctly.

  • Application Authentication Similar to Web Dynpro JAVA

    Hi,
    I am developing a Web Dynpro ABAP application on the lines of existing Web Dynpro JAVA application.
    In WDJ, application is authenticated and user needs to provide his intranet id/password to login to application. (with same user-name and password he logs into portal)
    Now, my first question is how do I make my WDA application authenticated? (I can see that when application is called from URL, I need to enter my R/3 user-name and password)
    And once I do that, how do I make sure that user is authenticated by his intranet ID and password?
    Please help.
    Thanks and regards,
    Amey Mogare

    >And before that I would like to know how do I make WDA application authenticated?
    Go to transaction SICF.  There you will find a service node for all WDA, BSP, and Web Services in your system. At the level of each service node you can edit the authentication settings and choose the allowed authentication mechanism and the order in which they are interpreted. See this online help link for the listing of Logon Procedures supported by the AS-ABAP:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/d3/2bb3405226bc4ee10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    >I want to authenticate users with SAP Portal login credentials.
    That isn't one of the options from the AS-ABAP directly.  If you want the Portal Login credentials, then you should have the user logon via the portal and run the Web Dynpro ABAP application as an iView within the portal.

  • Pasting data from Excel sheet to Table in web dynpro View

    Hii All,
    Is it possible to copy data ( some rows) from Excel sheet and paste in table in a view?
    I tried doing this, but only first element is getting pasted..
    Does anybody know how to do this?
    Is there any way to perform similar thing?
    Pls help.
    regards,
    Amey

    Hi,
    Copy paste may work if you have that many rows in your table(not sure).
    One thing you can do is upload the excel and then populate the context of the node bound to the table by fetching data from the excel
    For this you can make use of JXL or APACHE POI.

    Yes I'm pretty sure of the input parameter, because P_Userid y conformed by first letter Name and followed with complete last name I.E "RROSILLO".
    Also I've found in a note how to activate log details in the Was I set it to all instead ERROR (as default shipped). On one of log files I found an exception:

  • Data transfer across 2 different views in web dynpro ABAP

    hi all,
    can anyone please help me on how to transfer data across 2 different views in wd ABAP.
    i have made a view-1 and using another view-2 as a component which is displayed in the tab in view-1.
    i am required to fetch a value from the view-1's input field and use it for a further processing in the view-2.
    i want to use the value which is in the input field in the view1 as a primary key to get the whole record corresponding to that value and that complete record must be shown in my view2.
    the thing here is view1 and view2 are 2 different views.
    view1 has a tabstrip control.
    the view2 is embedded in a tab of that tabstrip as a used component because it was not possible for me to build the view in the tab as a whole.
    please help me out if anyone has done so?
    thanx in advance.

    Hi,
    If both the views are in the same comp, define the context node which holds the input field of view1 in the component controller. Then map this same context node into the context of view2. Then in the inbound plug of view 2, read the context, and fire your select statement based on the input value.
    Another way is, pass the input field from view 1 as a parameter when invoking the inbound plug of view2.

    Wenonah

  • [Access 2010] Change default formats for data types

    Whenever I import data, the default format for Boolean data types is "-1,0." I know how to subsequently change this format to "Yes/No," but I'd like to change the default
    setting to "Yes/No." Is this possible?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I found you post the same question in other place and got the advice. I agree with Mr. Kees suggestion. The data type is a build-in default setting with Access, we can't change it. We may try the workaround via VBA to test.

  • Pulling data from Smartform to Web Dynpro

    Hai All,
      I am new to Web Dynpro. I need to know how to pull the data from SAP Smartform and display using Web Dynpro. Please give me suggestions.
    Thanks & Regds,
    Balu

    Hi Bala
    Which version of R/3 are u using? Is it 4.6C or 4.7.
    If you are using 4.7, then u just need to read output parameter of type XSTRING which is binary format. And using IWDCachedWebResource you can open PDF in new window.
    If you are using 4.6C version you have to use workaround method.
    Follow the following post. Its been very useful and solved my problem.
    Also if you want to save PDF you can do that using above method with little modifications.
    Get PDF file from R/3 and display in a WD application
    Thanks

  • Date Column not getting sorted in a table in web Dynpro Java

    Hi All,
    I am facing an issue while sorting the date column in a table in my web dynpro java application.
    When the date is displayed in the sql format in tha table, I am able to sort the date column successfully but when we convert the date field from sql format to util format in our table and then sort it does not work.
    Kindly let us know the steps to be followed in this case to sort the date column of a table in Simple Date format as we do not want date in the sql format to be displayed.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anurag

    Hi,
    You might want to check whether both your browser's language settings are identical. The browser language could also determine the date format.
    As a workaround, you could add an extra attribute to your context, and set the calculated property to 'true'.
    In your table, add a new column and bind to this new attribute, and hide your original date column
    If you sort using the date column that's hidden now, you could use the calculated field to fixed-format your date the way you prefer (by using the SimpleDateFormatter class for instance)
    Cheers,
    Robin

  • Display data in Web DynPro table from database via EJB

    I have a JavaBeans model which has a method populateDataToTable()to retrieve data from database via Session bean (calling entity bean, returning ArrayList of data) and the data needed to be display in the Web DynPro table.
    User Interface (Web DynPro) <-> JavaBeans Model <-> Busineess Logic (session bean) <-> Persistence (Entity Bean)<-> DB table.
    The context bindiing and table part is ok. How do i load the data to the table ? what the coding to put in wdDoInit() ?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    in wdinit(),
    Collection col = new ArrayList();
    try{
      MyCommandBean bean = new MyCommandBean();
      col = bean.getDataFromDbViaEJB();
      wdContext.nodeMyCommandBean().bind(col);
    } catch (Exception ex) {
       ex.printStackTrace(ex);
    in your JavaBean model class, MyCommandBean getDatafromDbViaEJB() method:
    Collection col = new ArrayList();
    Collection newcol = new ArrayList();
    //include your own context initialization etc...
    col = local.getDataViaSessionBean(param);
    // if your returned result also a bean class, reassigned it to current MyCommandBean
    for (Iterator iterator = col.iterator(); iterator.hasNext();) {
        MyOtherBean otherBean=(MyOtherBean)iterator.next();
        MyCommmandBean bean = new MyCommandBean();
        bean.attribute1 = outBean.getAttirbute1();
        // get other attibutes
        newcol.add(bean);
    return newcol;

  • How to call jsp from web dynpro app.

    Hi Frndz,
    How can I call a JSP from my web dynpro(and here i don't want to redirect to JSP ),I want to call a JSP which can show a message window as alert on top  of WDP view.
    Here am using CE 7.2 SP1, and my requirement is to call the model(back end) for every minute interval and need to give alert that how many new records r added.With WDP java i haven't find any option to give alert r notifications about new records added, so am thinking to call JSP where I will pass the parameter which can show a alert r notification(like FACEBOOK n outlook notifications).
    Please share any ideas ti achieve this,
    Thanks in advance.
    Regrads
    Rajesh

    Hi,
    If your application should open in a new url, then you can use link to url action to open jsp.
    You can also use EPCF navigation api to call any pcd page as well external links
    i.e
      WDPortalNavigation
          .navigateAbsolute("link",[parameters]);
    Since your passing parameters, you build url in both the cases.
