Hello Sandipan,
>> SAPCAR: could not open for writing SAPCAR (error 28). Text file busy
At first try to extract the SAR archives into /sapmnt/<SID>/exe, because of /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe is just a symbolic link and maybe the permissions are different (maybe you have checked the link with 777).
Please try the following:
> mv /sapmnt/<SID>/exe /sapmnt/<SID>/exe.old
> SAPCAR -xvf <PATCH LOCATION> /sapmnt/<SID>/exe
After that run the saproot.sh script in /sapmnt/<SID>/exe and try to start the sap system.
Normally the error 28 shows some files which have the problems (maybe loaded or still open), if it is a library (*.a, *.so files) then execute the following command as root:
> slibclean

ThanksIs your listener running? If not check your logs ...
Often you get this when DB isn't running and SAP needs to connect in order to start.
Also consider this - that if your environment is on cluster technology then startsap won't work - you will need something like this:
- As sidadm
startdb
startsap -t r3 -i ASCS00 -v c123biXXXacsxx
startsap -t r3 -i DVEBMGS00 -v c123dbXXXdbqxx -

Hi Experts,
We have made a system copy from Production to Quality and it has been done successfully. Now we are able to open the database manually. But when we are trying to start SAP it is not connecting the database base and it is giving error which is given below :

SAP not starting after crash: Terminateing With error code 12
Hi,
After system crash SAP is not starting normally. When running startsap under SIDadm puts out: /usr/sap/TST/SYS/exe/run/startdb: Terminateing With error code 12
startdb.log shows that:
/oracle/TST/102_64/bin/sqlplus: error while loading shared libraries: libsqlplus.so: cannot open shares object file: No such file or directory
I have checked - file and directory are present.
However - when manually starting DB under oraSID and then logging in as SIDadm and starting SAP - everything starts normally.
(Allthough SID is has been changed before - system also worked normally after SID change) I have checked userrights and groups , also profile - everything seems to be normal. Any ideas?

Several Updates Fail all with error code U44M1I200
I have a notification that I have 12 Adobe updates to install. When I attempt to install them they fail and the error log lists the same error code for all update (U44M1I200). I am running Windows 8 and just installed the new Windows 8.1 upgrade but the updates had also failed prior to upgrading the OS.
Hi sgendel,
Please try downloading the product updates manually from : http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates and check. -

any ideas why its failing?Hi,
I've seen the same error on a customer where we had Windows Intune Client (SCCM) installed previously. Did you try it on a newly deployed computer? If you had Intune or another CCM client on it previously make sure you clean it up. Here is a well formulated
instruction:
http://douwevanderuit.wordpress.com/2014/01/30/removing-windows-intune-client/
Usually when deploying to many clients we use a startup script, there is a great one that Jason Sandys made in the link below.
http://blog.configmgrftw.com/configmgr-client-startup-script/
There should be no problems deploying SCCM 2012 R2 clients on Windows 8.1 unless there is something wrong with either the setup or the client computer.

Scheduled TMS_ # TMS_TP_IMPORT background jobs fail with error code 0232
Is anyone else having the problem we've just encountered since upgrading to ECC 6.0 and CRM 2007, where once setting up the automatic import ALL background jobs, to have all of the Transport Change Requests imported into the Q-Prod testing systems automatically, fail after several successful runs?
After setting up the automatic import background job to run every 15 minutes, the first few run successfully (importing any transports as it should), then the transports stop being imported.
The background jobs continue to run, but have the following in the job log overviews CRM 2007 - "Could not start transport control program tp". R\3 ECC 6.0 - "Transport control program tp ended with error code 0232".
Only by deleting the background job and recreating it (or manually importing) from STMS, can the transports continue to be imported. Although I have noticed that there are multiple tp.exe processes started, which need to be deleted before the STMS and TMS Background jobs work again.
The:
DB is SQL Server 2005
disp+work is at version 7000.150.14.48855
R3Trans is at version 7000.149.14.47907
tp is at version 7000.144.14.39594
Any suggestions on how to cure this for good? Thanks All
FYI
SAP first suggested the following notes: 19466, 1150361, and to add a Startup profile parameter rfc/use_gwstart = 1. Which was only partially successful.
I guess it had more to do with RFC processes hanging than it did with the tp, which was fixed in a later kernel patch level.
I've upgraded the kernel to the latest (70000.181.0.0) and my problem was fixed.

Edited by: KGUNASEKAR on Apr 30, 2010 6:55 AMExitcode 2, if returned from the OS, means "No such file or directory". Note that as of SAP kernel release 7, you usually do not have DB6CLP any more. Can you check if the executable is available in the SAP exe directory ?
If running SAÜ kernel 700 or higher, I suggest to apply a recent SP level.

Launch failed with error code -2857
I've been running an app (EPSON Scan) for awhile without any significant problems. Today I check the Epson web site and they had an update for the app. So, I downloaded it, installed it, and tried to run it. Unfortunately, all I got was a couple of bounces in the Dock and nothing. I then went to the console and found the "launch failed with error code -2857" message. I've researched that as best I could and found that it is probably a problem with the application bundle. So, I opened the package, drilled down to the Mac OS folder, and double clicked on the EPSON Scan terminal command located there. Bing, a terminal window opened and the application launched and runs fine. So, the questions is, how do I resolve the CFM not finding the application correctly? I've run a pre-bind on everything but that didn't work. Seems to me like there is some config file that is not set up properly. I looked at the Info.plist file and I don't see any glaring problems. Any ideas? Epson also go a copy of this note...
First I want to say thanks for the feedback. I appreciate the support and helpful suggestions.
Second, Epson sent me an answer of sorts...they provided detailed instructions on uninstalling the application and then told me to reinstall using the disk image from their web site (in other words, don't use their web package to "update" and existing installation). I did this and things seem to be running fine now. It's unfortunate that their update instructions don't say to do this in the first place (maybe I missed it ).
So at one level this issue is solved. Unfortunately I'm too curious and wanted to know why the error happend in the first place. As a software developer myself (mainframe and midrange server based) I hate the "delete and reinstall" answer as it does nothing to really identify and solve the real problem. But I do also appreciate the idea of "just get it fixed fast" so that's what I did.
Anyway, I will now spend some time learning about Launch Services to see if I can get a more specific understanding of what happened.
Thanks again for the help.

SCCM2012 - CcmSetup failed with error code 0x80190191
I can't get client push working. Getting these errors:
CcmSetup failed with error code 0x80190191
Failed to download files through BITS. Error: 0x80190191, Description HTTP status 401: The requested resource requires user authentication.
, Context: The error occurred while the remote file was being processed.
I still have SCCM 2007 running with existing boundaries as I am trying to migrate. Is that the problem? I found an article similar from SMS 2003 to SCCM 2007 so I'm not sure if it applies.
Site servers are 2008 R2
GPO startup script is working.
Ideas? Thanks!I just enabled Windows Authentication in IIS... Let's see what happens. I'm frustrated as this was working about a month ago when I tested it to a limited group.
Didn't work. I restarted the default web site. Restarted server too. Enable basic authentication?
I found similar issues regarding bits authentication and WSUS but nothing seems to help yet.
Also, prior to the errors I'm getting these warning which are actually inaccurate...

CCMSetup failed with error code 0xc0000142 on newly imaged machines
I've run into some curious errors when installing clients on newly imaged machines. After machines are deployed and joined to the domain, we run a Startup Script from AD that looks for the existence of the client and if not installs it.
The newly imaged machines all display these errors in ccmsetup.log

If I reboot the systems one more time after these failures, the setup continues and succeeds in every case. Has anyone run into this before?
Orange County District AttorneyDoes the machine have a pending reboot before installing the client?
Edit: just to add you could enable verbose logging on a freshly imaged machine.
Then look the the windows installer log file for the re distributable that fails to install.
If you search for "return value 3" in the log file, just above should be the reason it fails.
You can enable verbose logging for all MSI files with
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer]
"Logging"="voicewarmup"
vcredist_x86.exe always has 1 or 2 MSI's embedded depending on which redist it is.
The log should be in Windows\Temp if running under the system account or %appdata% for the account that's running the script. -

This happens every time I reboot the server or logoff. It has no ill effect on the server itself except generating these event log errors I am using Sun One 6.1 SP 1 on a wondows 2003 server. I have to resolve this beofore I can go any furthur in my project. Any help? This error comes up for both the web servive and the admin service. Thanks to a post I just discovered, I have solved this problem.
The JVM within Sun Web Server is accepting kill signals from Windows when users logoff. When the JVM dies, apparently the web server service just dies as well. It's a long story and I don't really care to understand it fully.
You can refer to the thread I found for the solution of passing the JVM a startup option to ignore these signals.

Or, you can just disable the JVM completely as I did. Though there is a checkbox for this for user-defined servers under the Java tab. I couldn't find where to do this for the admin server itself, so I commented out the line in magnus.conf that loads j2ee-plugin.dll.
We'll see if this causes any other problems, but so far so good.
