I search the DB-Table for the time to confirm for each activity type (operation/production order).
(CO03>operation details>qty/activities-->to confirm).
I have found the following tables - but without success:

AFVC
AFVV
PLPO
I search not the standard vals (AFVV). Who can help me?

CC app used to work on this same computer a few months ago. No changes to operating system. Photoshop is still working. Just wanted to download Lightroom and perhaps begin learning it, but to no avail.
Tried to look for a way to reinstall Adobe CC, but it says I already have it.
Any ideas?

Current best practice for Time service settings for Hyper-V 2012 R2 Host and guest OS's

I am trying to find out what the current best practice is for Time service settings in a Hyper-V 2012 environment. I find conflicting information. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I have found some different sources (links below) but again the

From the first link provided by Brian, it does state that the time service should be off, but then the update changes that statement. Still best to rely on the first link in the OP - it was written by the guy that has been responsible for much of what
gets coded into Hyper-V, starting from before there ever was a Hyper-V. I'd say that's a pretty reliable source.
Time service
For virtual machines that are configured as domain controllers, it is recommended that you disable time synchronization between the host system and guest operating system acting as a domain controller. This enables your guest domain controller to synchronize
time from the domain hierarchy.
To disable the Hyper-V time synchronization provider, shut down the VM and clear the Time synchronization check box under Integration Services.
Note
This guidance has been recently updated to reflect the current recommendation to synchronize time for the guest domain controller from only the domain hierarchy, rather than the previous recommendation to partially disable time synchronization between the
host system and guest domain controller.

MY POSSIBLE FIX for Time Machine preparing for ages every hour

Like many others, i have had problems with Time Machines backups - ever since upgrading to 10.5.2. Every hour it would say 'preparing' for ages, and then, when it did finally backup, the data transfer was incredibly slow. Not to mention the amount of cpu usage it was using during the preparing status!
I have no idea if this is a FIX, or if i was just lucky, but Time Machine now works as it should, i.e. it backs-up seamlessly.
Anyway, this is what i did: booted from my Tiger disc (yes, even though i have Leopard) and went into its 'disc utility', from there i selected 'repair permissions'. Once the Tiger disc had completed repairing the permissions, i quit out of it and restarted my MacBook normally, i.e. not from the Tiger disc. When it had finished restarting, i went to disc utility and selected 'repair permissions'.
Ever since, TM has been just perfect. Coincidence? - i honestly do not know.
By the way, i don't know if repairing the permissions from within Leopard did anything or not, but this is the sequence i used. Plus also, it might be good to note that i had repaired permissions many a time, but with no success in fixing TM, but once doing it from the Tiger disc it fixed TM.
I hope it helps someone, because i know just how annoying it was when TM was not working correctly!

I have a new MacBook and am unable to use my old editing software from my powerbook so am needing to find a program that will allow me to hook up my video camera and let it record for possibly a full 24 hours, will FC let me do this?
I used to use the old iMovie to do long imports so now am stuck of what I should purchase.

HDD for Time Machine and other stuff

Just a very short question.. Can I use my external harddrive for Time Machine and for example putting files on it to take it to my friend, or the otherway around, put files on it and take it back home?
The reason I ask this is that I hooked up a USB HDD and it said I needed to clear all the data on the disk first before using Time Machine.

I'm considering baking up my iMac. I have a Lacie external hard disk with a Master Boot Record partition type. On it, there are already some data files from both Windows and Mac machines.
I understand that, for Time Machine to work, the partition type needs to be changed to GUID (for Intel based Mac). Obviously, I will need to copy these data files to somewhere, then use Disk Utility to change the partition type, partition the hard disk (one partition to be used for Time Machine back-up).
My question is, will it be safe to copy the data files (previously from Windows and Mac machines) back to another partition of the hard disk which will then has a GUID partition type? Will the files (including those from Windows machines) be usable?

You're slightly mixing terminology.
The *+Partition Map Scheme+* applies to the whole disk, whether it has one or multiple partitions. That's what needs to be GUID or +Apple Partition Map+.
The Format applies to each partition, and may be different for each one. Your TM partition needs to be +Mac OS Extended (Journaled),+ the other one can be +MS-DOS (FAT)+ for use with Windoze.
You can copy those files anywhere temporarily, while re-formattng the disk. It doesn't have to be a separate partition. It could even be CDs/DVDs. As long as you can copy and read back, it doesn't matter. If you put them on your boot drive, Windoze won't be able to read them while they're there, but once you get them back on a +MS-DOS (FAT)+ partition, it will.

We usually recommend putting the Time Machine partition first (at the top of the diagram that Disk Utility will show you), so you can more easily expand or contract it later on, if you need to.

As users are complaining that they are getting time out error
while they are trying to access Cprojects from Portal.
I was able to check/collect the ABAP instance parameters from SMICM Tcode.
Can anybody tell me which parameters we need to look for JAVA instance.

Switch hard drive from local to Airport Extreeme for Time Machine Backup

I have an external drive I am using for time machine backups for my iMac. I have an Airport Extreme and would like to use it to backup my iMac and my Macbook Pro (wireless). I have a PC that would be nice to backup a few things also, but not mandatory.
If I move the hard drive from the 400 FireWire port to the Airport, will it need to be reconfigured to allow for backups on teh network? Will it erase (or will I need to erase) the drive's current backup data of my iMac? Do I need to partition it to allow for multiple machine backups?

No, as long as the external hard drive is formatted in either HFS+ or FAT32 it will be recognized by the AirPort.

Potentially, yes. Time Machine backups are stored differently on local attached drives versus those that are network-based. There is a procedure to "copy" an existing TM backup from an external drive to a Time Capsule that may work for an AirPort Disk (external drive connected to either a TC or AirPort Extreme). However, I would strongly recommend not going this route as Apple does not currently support Time Machine backups to AirPort Disks.
Do I need to partition it to allow for multiple machine backups?
For Time Machine this would not be necessary as it will create a unique "file" for each Mac. However, you may have other requirements that partitioning the drive would make sense. Note: You would have to partition the drive prior to connecting it to the AirPort, as the AirPort Utility itself does not support partition management.

Replacement for Time Capsule

I have a two year old 500 GB Time Capsule that I use for Time Machine backups for an iMac and a MacBook. It's about 90% full and I am concerned that the power supply may die as it did on my original TC that worked for 18 months and died. Solutions that I am considering include: 1. Replace it with a new 1T Time Capsule or 2. Replace it with an AirPort Extreme and an external HD connected to the iMac for backups of both computers. The costs for both options are about the same. Option 1 is more convenient. Option 2 makes me feel more secure about data loss in the event that the router has power supply problems. Any thoughts?

That's a good trick, since an Airport Extreme does not have a FireWire port.

Sorry for that. You are correct. I meant to say that I back up my iMac directly to the Iomega HD by FW.

my client is asking formula at the time order confirmation for scrap qty. l am explining the scenario.
i have created BOM for FG. In that i have maintaing RM, scrap and packing materials and i have two operations for this.
i have created production order for FG with backflush. in this my scrap qty is not atcual qty. i have confirmed first operation and made goods issue more than the planned qty with movment type 261. then i am going to confirmed for second operation. here my client is asking formula before posting goods movement in CO11 t.code for scrap qty. it should be caluculate automatically from Issued RM qty to FG QTY (101 MVT) and RM return qty( 262 MVT). like
scap qty = (RM1 qty +RM2 qty) - FG1 qty-FG2 qty - RM return qty.
let me know is it possible.

Regarding ABAP dump during time ticket confirmation.

I'm getting an ABAP dump while doing time ticket confirmation for a process order using COR6N. The dump is coming only for one plant and all the plants are working fine.
The reason for dump is
The current application program detected a situation which really should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).
I tried to analyze the dump and got OSS# 385830. But this note only talking about the conversion of message from A to X type. What should be the reason (configuration/product error) behind that?
If anybody came across the same, please comment on this

Hi,
Since this dump is happening only for a particular plant, compare the config set of this plant with the other plant which is working fine, you should be able to resolve it.
Alternatively, ask your abaper to analyze the dump in ST22 & he / she should be able to let you know the exact reason why the dump is occurring.

Table is taking time load.

Hi,

I have a vo (userdefined query) and I have dropped that as a table on my jspx page.
Bydefault, it will not any rows. On click button, it will get the data and load the table. Issue, On page load it is taking lot of time to load the empty table.
Please let me know what I suppose to do to load the table very fast.
