  • Create a Maintenance view for table T500P

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement where customer want an additional field in table T500P and for the same a custom maintenanve view has to be created. Moreover, If there is any update insert or change in the ZView/Ztable the same should be reflected in standard table T500P.
    Steps already taken :-
We have created a ztable (copy of T500P ) and add the required custom field to it.
We have also copied the view i.e V_T500P to our custom view and also use base table as T500P .
We also create a foreign key for PERSA in Ztable and use T500P as check table for that with cardinality 1:1.
To update the MOLGA & BUKRS field data in ztable we have set both the field as a primary key & create a foreign key with check table T500L & T001 & cardianality as 1:CN for key fields.
In custom maintenance view we have set the realtionship of ztable t500l & t001 with the base table T500P.
Now, if we are trying to maintain the view only T500P table is getting updated and Ztable is updated with only PERSA value.
Please provide some directions for the resolution of this issue.
    Thanks,
    Pooja Goel.

The view you selected by clicking File > Options > Project View is the default view for every new project you create from a blank project template.  This is a global option, so setting it from the checked out Enterprise Global file serves no purpose.
When you select a view as your default view, you will see that view applied to the blank project that is opened when you launch Microsoft Project 2010, and you will see it applied if you create new blank projects.  If you create enterprise templates for
people to use in your organization, you should simply apply the view to the template that you want as the default so that users will see this view immediately when they create a new project from the template.  In addition, if you apply a view to an open
project, close and check in the project, and then reopen the project, you will see the last view applied in that project (as Guillaume correctly points out).
Beyond this, there is no method possible for the Project Server administrator to specify a default view for the Microsoft Project application used by the project managers in your organization.  This is an option each PM must set.  Hope this helps.

  • View for table DDL

    Hello,
Please can i know the view name in which the table DDL's are stored?
    Regards,

There is no view that stores the exact 'CREATE TABLE ...' ddl command that you used to create a statement.
You can look in USER/ALL/DBA_TABLES to find tables, and in USER/ALL/DBA_TAB_COLUMNS to find the columns in those tables.
You can generate the DDL command using DBMS_METADATA package (procedure get_ddl).
    For instance:
    select dbms_metadata.get_ddl('TABLE','EMP','SCOTT') from dual;

  • Partitions Tab in Object Viewer for Tables

I just moved to the official 1.5 release from the 1.5 EA2 release, and no longer see the Partitions tab when using the Object Viewer on a partitioned table. Has this been removed, or is this now configurable?

Sorry, I take that back, this appears to be only the case where an existing table is converted to a partitioned table (using the same name). Refreshing does not work, but once disconnecting and re-connecting, the tab shows up.

  • Is there any view for  table TSTCT (transaction code text )

    Hi,
I need to display the transactions allowed per a user , in that i need to display transaction codes along with the text.
In this report selection screen contains user as select option, when the user enters group of users as selection it is consuming a lot of time to get the t codes and to get the text from the table tstct. is there any way so that i can reduce the the runtime of this program.

I am not sure abt the view but Try to use the key fields in the where clause of select statement. This you can do to have a good performance or restrict the user to enter few entries in that select option. Instead of select-options you can use parameters options also.

  • Reg :-maintain a table maintenance view for the z table.suggest me the code

i have question.i have created a z table related to pp module.the requirement is to maintain {table maintenance view} for this z table.how could this be done.can any one suggest me the code for this?

    Hi ,
We have a lots of queries on table maintainance creation in the forum posted and replied to.Pls have a look at it first.
In se11 -> change mode of the ztable -> goto -> utilities -> table maintainance generator -> click on it...
it will give a new screen-> enter the required details like function group , authorisation(use &NC& or leave it blank if you dont know)  and screens
2 step and 1 step means=> number of screens displayed in maintainace
if step1 is selected then we have a screen which will be like a table control for data entry.........
for step2 we have a table control screen and a more detailed individual field display as second screen
click on the button 'find screen numbers' so that system automatically proposes the screen numbers
after which click on the "create" button and follow the required instructions/messages
once done go to SM30 enter the table name to check if maintainance has been created properly
Hope it helps,Pls check and revert

  • [ADF Help] How to create a view for multiple tables

    Hi,
I am using Jdeveloper 11G and ADF framework, and trying to create a view to update multiple tables.
    ex:
Table A has these fields: ID, Name
Table B has these fields: ID, Address
A.ID and B.ID are primary keys.
B.ID has FK relationship with A.ID
(basically, these tables have one-to-one relation)
I want to create a view object, which contains these fields: B.ID (or A.ID), A.Name, B.Address.
So I can execute C,R,U,D for both tables.
I create these tables in DB, and create entity objects for these tables.
So there are 2 entity objects and 1 association.
Then I create a view object based on B and add fields of A into the view:
If the association is not a "Composition Association",
when I run the model ("Oracle Business Component Browser") and try to insert new data, fields of A can't edit.
If the association is a "Composition Association", and click the insert button, I will get
"oracle.jbo.InvalidOwnerException: JBO-25030: Failed to find or invalidate owning entity"
If I create a view object based on A and add filed of B into the view:
When I run the model and try to insert new data, fields of B can't edit, no matter the association is or is not a composition association.
So... how can I create a view for multiple tables correctly?
    Thanks for any advices!
Here are some pictures about my problem, if there is any unclear point, please let me know.

    Hi Branislav,
Thanks, but the result is same ....
In the step 2 of creating view object, I can select entity objects to be added in to the view.
If I select A first, and then select B (the "Source Usage" of B is A), then finishing the wizards.
When I try to create a new record in the view, I can't edit any properties of B (those files are disabled).
If I select B first, and then select A in crating view object, the result is similar ...
    Thanks for any further suggestion.

  • :: NWA does not show table view for monitoring reports ::

    Hi,
We are facing an issue in one of our portal system.
I click on Portal index page, then I go to Net weaver Administrator --> Monitoring --> Java system reports.
Here I get the resource utilization graphs.
The graphs show proper values however when I click on table view it does not show any value or table at all.
Then I click on Settings button, and click on Persistent radio button.
It asks to enter the number of days for which the the data should be stored.
I gave it as 2 days and click on Apply button.
It shows a message saying "changes would be effective after restarting monitoring service".
However when I go there i.e. NWA --> Administration --> Applications
    I get below services
    cafruntimemonitoring~ear
    com.sap.ip.bi.sdk.monitoring
    tclmwebadminmonitoravail~wd
    tclmwebadminmonitorcomplib~wd
    tclmwebadminmonitorprovider_ear
    tclmwebadminmonitorstate~wd
    tclmwebadminoverviewmonitoring~wd
    tcmonitoringsysteminfo
Would you kindly suggest which service from above list should be restarted ?
    Thank you, Regards,
    Girish Garje.

I think what is being asked is "How do I expose a database view as a schema table in Configuration Manager?"
This is accomplished by creating a database view within the WCC database schema (and with the WCC schema user as the view owner). The view then will appear as a table in the "table" tab in Configuration Manager.
One caveat in 11g is that the user created by RCU does not have any privileges to read/create views in its own schema. You may need to grant privileges to views for the WCC schema user before this will work.

  • View for a network node or link table

Can a view be used for a nework node or link table? The process sdo_net.validate_network hangs when I try to validate a network based on views for the node and link tables.

I am using a logical model. The sql statement (checking link/node relationship) that hangs is:
    select count(a.link_id) from vlinks a
    where not exists
    select * from vnodes b
    where b.node_id = a.start_node_id or b.node_id = a.end_node_id
I gather there is a concurrency issue with my links view because it joins a table with itself. I have a link table that has the start and end nodes defined on two records. Here is my view script:
    create or replace view vlinks
    (link_id, link_name, start_node_id, end_node_id, link_type, active, link_level, cost, parent_link_id)
    as
    select a.id, 'Link '||a.id, a.nodeid, b.nodeid, 'simple', 'Y',1,0,''
    from vnodes a, vnodes b
    where a.seq=1 and b.seq>1 and a.id = b.id
I can create tables from my views and validate them successfully through sdo_net.validate_nodes_schema, sdo_net.validate_links_schema, and sdo_net.validate_network.
I can analyze the network model through the Java API using the reachable nodes, shortest path, and spanning tree methods without any problems.
I guess I'll validate my view links by counting the total number of links and subtracting the number of links joined successfully at the start and end nodes - if 0 then all links are valid. E.g.:
    select count(link_id) from
    select link_id from vlinks
    minus
    select a.link_id from vlinks a, vnodes b, vnodes c
    where a.start_node_id = b.node_id
    and a.end_node_id = c.node_id

  • View for CDPOS & CDHDR tables

    Hi all,
I am developing a report for which I am fetching fields from CDPOS & CDHDR tables (both r cluster tables). when i run st05, it fetches values from a cluster table CDCLS which takes most of the database time.

  • How to get standard view or table for the standard inforsource

    Hi all:
According to business reqirement, we are going to use standard inforsource 0CO_OM_CCA_10,
we need to know the standard view or table in order to corresponding DataSource?
could you please tell me how to get  the standard view or table or DataSource?
    Couldn't thank you more!

    Hi Sony,
Goto RSA1>BI content installation>goto objects>double click on the Infosource>then a pop-up comes search for that infosource-->select it and click on transfer
Before that in the right side of the tab select the grouping as "Before and afterwards of the dataflow" and collection as automatic.
then you get all the datasource/cubes and all the object related to the infosource.
    OR another option is-->
Goto RSA6 in the R/3 and search for the datasource with the name "0CO_OM_CCA_10" (don't forget to expand all the tree structure in RSA6)
then goto that datasource and double click on the datasource then you will get the Extract structure of that datasource.
double click on the extract structure then you may get the View name also.
    hope this helps...

  • How to create a maintainance view for a table.

    Hi All,
Can anyone explain me how do we create a maintainance view for a table?
Also, what access is required to create the view.
Is it true that for SAP tables we cannot create a maintainance view?
    Appreciate any help on this.

    Hi
Can anyone explain me how do we create a maintainance view for a table?
    <i>
You can use the SE11 menu option 'Utilities-->Table Maintenance Generator' or you can use transaction SE54.</i>

  • Maintenance view for standerd table

hi . i want to update a field in standerd table. i try &sap_edit.but i dont know why people suggest that...its not working...any alternate to update standerd table .

    Hi  ,
First talk to your Function Consultant  , why the standard table needs tobe updated  .
if there is a purpose or a reason , then  see the table attribute  whether it is Masterdata/Customdata /Transcation data.
    Masterdata table
Becuase for all Master data there will be define Transcationcode with screen program .
Ex: for creating Vendor Master/Customer Master/Hr Master, etc so for all Master data ,there is Change Transcation code also ,so the Functional Consultant can change it  , if it is bulk then just record that  screen using LSMW or BDC so that  you can modify the data in the  Screen which will update the corresponding tabels.
    Customdata table
If it is Customizing table then there will be  a define Table Maintainance directly or a View with Table maintaintance View. so Again Function Consultant can change the data. one thing here  if that data field is Primary Key ,then in the table maintaince view he or you cannot  change the data directly ,so either way is to delete the entry and create new entry with the changes you/he want .
    Transcationdata table
If it is Transcation data then you should not do the change's for  the transcaction data  , if still it is required then  there will be reversable entry process (Ex: In Finance if  posting with incorrect entries of Currency or GL, then that  record should be reversed .)likewise  in SD ,HCM also they can reverse .
Final OPTION is already you are trying already with SAP_EDIT  and also Our Community friends told how to play with editing table data.

  • How to create variant for table/view ?

    Hi,
When I go through SM30, I find a radio button called variant. I don't know the effect.
Can anyone tell me how to create variant for table / view ?
I want to know when we need to create variant for table/view.
    Best regards,
    Chris Gu

    hi ,
Whenever you start a program in which selection screens are defined, the system displays a set of input fields for database-specific and program-specific selections. To select a certain set of data, you enter an appropriate range of values.
For further information about selection screens, refer to Selection Screens in the ABAP User's Guide.
If you often run the same program with the same set of selections (for example, to create a monthly statistical report), you can save the values in a selection set called a variant
    Procedure
    To create a new variant:
           1.      On the ABAP Editor initial screen, enter the name of the program for which you want to create a variant, select Variants, and choose Change.
           2.      On the variant maintenance initial screen, enter the name of the variant to be created.
Note the naming convention for variants (see below).
           3.      Choose Create.
If the program has more than one selection screen, a dialog box for screen assignment appears. The dialog box does not appear if the program only has one selection screen. The selection screen appears in this case.
           4.      If there is more than one selection screen, select the screens for which you want to create the variant
    5.      Choose Continue.
The (first) selection screen for the report appears.
If your program has more than one selection screen, use the scroll buttons in the left-hand corner of the application toolbar to navigate between them and to fill the fields with values. If you keep scrolling forwards, the Continue button appears on the last selection screen.
           6.      Enter the desired selection values, including multiple selection and dynamic selection.
           7.      Choose Continue.

I need help creating a view. It is on a base table which is a metadata table. It is usinf parent child relationship. There are four types of objects, Job, Workflow, Dataflow and ABAP dataflow. Job would be the root parent everytime. I have saved all the jobs

    Regards,
    Megha

I think what you need is recursive CTE
    Consider your table below
    create table basetable
    (PARENT_OBJ varchar(10),
    PAREBT_OBJ_TYPE varchar(10),
    DESCEN_OBJ varchar(10),DESCEN_OBJ_TYPE varchar(10))
    INSERT basetable(PARENT_OBJ,PAREBT_OBJ_TYPE,DESCEN_OBJ,DESCEN_OBJ_TYPE)
    VALUES('JOB_A','JOB','WF_1','WORKFLOW'),
    ('JOB_A','JOB','DF_1','DATAFLOW'),
    ('WF_1','WORKFLOW','DF_2','DATAFLOW'),
    ('DF_1','DATAFLOW','ADF_1','ADF'),
    ('JOB_B','JOB','WF_2','WORKFLOW'),
    ('JOB_B','JOB','WF_3','WORKFLOW'),
    ('WF_2','WORKFLOW','DF_3','DATAFLOW'),
    ('WF_3','WORKFLOW','DF_4','DATAFLOW'),
    ('DF_4','DATAFLOW','ADF_2','ADF')
ie first create a UDF like below to get hierarchy recursively
    CREATE FUNCTION GetHierarchy
    @Object varchar(10)
    RETURNS @RESULTS table
    PARENT_OBJ varchar(10),
    DESCEN_OBJ varchar(10),
    DESCEN_OBJ_TYPE varchar(10)
    AS
    BEGIN
    ;With CTE
    AS
    SELECT PARENT_OBJ,DESCEN_OBJ,DESCEN_OBJ_TYPE
    FROM basetable
    WHERE PARENT_OBJ = @Object
    UNION ALL
    SELECT b.PARENT_OBJ,b.DESCEN_OBJ,b.DESCEN_OBJ_TYPE
    FROM CTE c
    JOIN basetable b
    ON b.PARENT_OBJ = c.DESCEN_OBJ
    INSERT @RESULTS
    SELECT @Object,DESCEN_OBJ,DESCEN_OBJ_TYPE
    FROM CTE
    OPTION (MAXRECURSION 0)
    RETURN
    END
Then you can invoke it as below
    SELECT * FROM dbo.GetHierarchy('JOB_A')
Now you need to use this for every parent obj (start obj) in view
for that create view as below
    CREATE VIEW vw_Table
    AS
    SELECT f.*
FROM (SELECT DISTINCT PARENT_OBJ FROM basetable r
    WHERE NOT EXISTS (SELECT 1
    FROM basetable WHERE DESCEN_OBJ = r.PARENT_OBJ)
    )b
    CROSS APPLY dbo.GetHierarchy(b.PARENT_OBJ) f
    GO
This will make sure it will give full hieraracy for each start object
Now just call view as below and see the output
    SELECT * FROM vw_table
    Output
    PARENT_OBJ DESCEN_OBJ DESCEN_OBJ_TYPE
    JOB_A WF_1 WORKFLOW
    JOB_A DF_1 DATAFLOW
    JOB_A ADF_1 ADF
    JOB_A DF_2 DATAFLOW
    JOB_B WF_2 WORKFLOW
    JOB_B WF_3 WORKFLOW
    JOB_B DF_4 DATAFLOW
    JOB_B ADF_2 ADF
    JOB_B DF_3 DATAFLOW
