DBX error in Sun Studio 9 on Sun 5.10

Hello this topic is the "following" of this one : http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5333342&tstart=0
Indeed I thought the problem was solved but it wasn't.
I will try to find new elements to provide you with.

Ok for the pstack I will run it on the next try
regarding the patch, I alrerady tried but the patch refused to be installed because no patch was installed before !?
more over when I tried to installed previous patch, it was refused too because they are obsolete ! :/
by the way, yesterday I found a log with this inside

No. The command above is how you run your program. I assumed you had already compiled it. To compile it you need the command
javac -classpath .;c:\javacooksrc2\javacooksrc2.jar MyProgramAll the classpath does is tell the java compiler or the JVM where to find classes that are needed to compile/run your program.

    Cheers,

IIRC this file, sasl32.dll, should get installed onto %WINDIR%\system32 when you install DS5.2 windows version.
You may run WinZIP and File/Open "d52diu.zip" (DS5.2 zip image) and look for "nsbasesys.zip", double click to Open it and you should find "sasl32.dll" there.

  • Not able to install Logic on mac with OSX.  10.8.2. Error message: Logic Studio.mpkg cannot be opened as the power pc programs are no longer supported. I have logic studio 8 software purchased in 2007 and upgraded with logic studio 9 (purchased in 2009)

After an earlier attempt to move Logic from my other mac (OSX 10.6.8) with the migration assistant to my new mac with OSX 10.8.2. I've re-started the whole start up process by erasing the hard drive from the new machine and build it up from scratch. After a new "out of the box" start, I decided to install LOGIC from my disks : starting with my 2007 package Logic Studio 8 and upgrading with my Logic 9 package from 2009. When trying to start to install 2008 I got the error message : Logic Studio.mpkg cannot be opened as the power pc programs are no longer supported.
What does this mean? HOw do I get this working under 10.8.2 as it works flawlessly under OSX 10.6.8. For sure I didn't buy a new machine to have OSX 10.8.2 but I suspect this is the roadblock to installing my logic package.
    Help!

    Mark,
    Sorry...
I completely lost the thread (I actually got confused between you and another poster on a another forum that was asking the same basic question) and somehow ended up thinking you were trying to install on a PPC Mac
My apologies and please ingnore those parts of my last post relating to the PPC Macs...
You have an Intel Mac and therefore Logic Studio 2 Boxed Upgrade set should install/run on your Mac without issue. As I said earlier.. you do not need to try and install from the original Logic Studio 1 /Logic 8 Boxed set...(It won't work anyhow because you have an Intel Mac and that version had a PPC installer)  but just install from the Logic Studio 2 / Logic Pro 9 Upgrade Boxed setof DVDs instead...
Have you tried the "Make Disk Image" solution I gave earlier? That normnally works under such circumstances as what you are describing can happen when your DVD drive cannot read the DVDs correctly... I have had this situation myself where one drive read them okay and another failed to do so for whatever reason. Making and then installing from Disk images of those exact same disks resolved the issue for me...
You can try to reinstall directly from the DVDs of course though under some circumstances it may not allow you to reinstall Logic Pro itself if that part of the original installation attempt was successful... in which case you can also try this... (It's probably the easiest method if Logic 9 was already installed and present in your Apps Folder)
If the Logic Pro App is in your applications folder..
Run Software Updates to update Logic Pro to a version that will run under 10.8.2 (The initially installed version of Logic will not)
    Run Logic
Go to the menu bar in Logic and select Logic Pro/Install Additional Content and select all content in there..
This content is basically exactly the same as what is stored on the remaining DVDs of the boxed set so you might not need to use the rest of the DVDs to install from but download it all instead from Apple Servers...

  • Reader 9 error in Visual Studio App

I am getting an error in Visual Studio when a pdf document opened in the IE WebBrowser.  The error is the common memory error: "Instruction at "0x00000x000" referenced memory... "
The error only happens in with Windows XP (not Vista) with Reader 9.  It worked fine from Reader 6-8.  Since Reader 9, whenever I close the application with the X, not File/Exit mind you, I get the aforementioned application error.
Has anyone come across this?  I am amazed that I cannot find much on this as it happens whenever you close IE with a PDF in any app.
Any ideas of how to deal with this other than just migrating back to Reader 8?
    Thanks,
    Gage

Yes, I have the exact same issue. I have submitted a bug to Adobe and downgrading to Reader 8 until this issue is fixed.

  • Error in Designer Studio Environment:

    Hi,
I installed the BODS client 4.0 on Windows XP SP3 32 bit(RAM 3GB) without any error and restarted and when we are starting the Data Services Designer it is giving the following error.
    Error in Designer Studio Environment:

Can anyone suggest what could be the issue ??What is the solution for this?

    Hi,
We are trying to fetch the data from SAP thru ETL tool BODS; while doing so we are facing the following issues :
    1.        While connecting to SAP RFCu2019s through BODS, we are getting the following error
u2018RFC CallReceive error <Function RFC_ABAP_INSTALL_AND_RUN : You do not have authorization for this functionu2026u2026>  (BODI-1112339).
As per our understanding, this requires the privilege to execute the function RFC_ABAP_INSTALL_AND_RUN. ??
    2.        Also, we require to load the BODS functions(related to SAP)  on  SAP Server using CTS (Correction and Transfer System); as per help document  given in technical manual of BODS. We are getting the error while importing the component in BODS as these functions are not available in SAP.Getting error like function module Z_AW_TABLE_IMPORT not found
We are following the instructions and we have the required files (R900XXX.SXX  and K900XXX.SXX). But we do not find /usr/sap/trans/data and /usr/sap/trans/cofiles directories in SAP server.
How to achieve this in BODS ??
Also can you tell one thing that can we talk to SAP from BODS without importing the tables and metadata in BODS datastore ??
    Urgent help required.

I have been using Sun One Studio IDE 4 for months, and updated it for several time. Today I mounted a directory and wanted to create a new plain java class under this directory, but it always reported: Error: File in D:\..... is read-only. It never happened before. I am confused. Then I tried to mount other direcotries and create new java files, always got the same error. Could anyone please kindly tell me whats wrong with the Sun One Studio? Thank you very much.

    return(r);
Can someone let me know if this is a Compiler issue or it has something to do with my code .
I'll Appreciate any help on this.
    Thanks in Advance

If you specify -S compiler option, assembly file will be produced and it enables you to look at the code assembler is complaining about. For example:
    /ASM
    pushl %ebx <== line 31
    /ASMEND
I'm not too familiar with AMD64 ABI, but it is possible that you can't use 32-bit registers in 64 bit mode with some operations like memory (including stack) access.
I was able to compile code with the following changes:
    asm(" movl $1,%eax"); /* this 1 inworking reg will set x /
asm(" pushl %rbx"); /* save the register; eax already saved */
asm(" movl 8(%rbp),%ebx"); /* move the address of x */
    asm(" xchg %eax,(%rbx)"); /* atomic swap a one with x /
asm(" cmp $0,%eax"); /* test what was in x /
asm(" jnz .A9999"); /* jump if x was already set /
    r = 1; /* indicate set occurred */
    asm(" .A9999:");
asm(" popl %rbx"); /* restore the register */

  • Netbeans error during Sun Studio 12 install

I am trying to install Sun Studio 12 on a SunFire X4140 running Solaris 10 5/08. When I run the ./prepare_system -s netbeans command, I get the following error,
    "Preparation failed at step netbeans."
The Sun Studio 12 [Release Notes|http://docs.sun.com/source/820-2063/release_notes.html] state:
"This failure occurs because the NetBeans installation software needs to find a compatible version of the Java runtime environment either in your search path, or at one of these explicit installation points: /usr/jdk/latest/bin/java OR /usr/jdk/jdk1.5.0_09/bin/java".
I have confirmed that "/usr/jdk/latest/bin/java" is installed- in fact it was installed by running "./prepare_system -s java". I have even changed the path to include "/usr/jdk/latest/bin" and still no go.
    Please advise.

    Hi,
I would recommend to use latest Sun Studio Express 07/08 if possible.
It is distributed as tar.bz2 archive wrapped by shell script.
If you need to install a packaged version of Sun Studio you could try next workaround:
    - find zip NetBeans 5.5.1 on you media ( should be in the folder archives-...)
    - unpack it into subdirectory /opt
However in this case you will need to check that it could be run properly (find java) by yourself.
    Regards,
    Leonid

  • Web Service error com.sun.xml.ws.fault.SOAPFaultBuilder.disableCaptureStack

    Hi,
I have implemented a Java class which calls some XML RPC 3.0 proxy methods.

    Hello AYVR
I found your post because I want to suppress the stack trace in my response of the web service. I put the -Dcom.sun.xml.ws.fault.SOAPFaultBuilder.disableCaptureStackTrace=false parameter in the setDomainEnv.cmd in the bin directory of my domain. Maybe this is also a solution for you.
    Cheers Chris

  • Studio 11 dbx error

Running sunstudio 11 and I get the following message when I try to load a simple executable:
Connecting to dbx failed: wait(2) failure
Note I do not know if system administrators have installed this tool properly and/or kept up with any/all patches. Does anyone recognize this error
Here is some information which may/may not be useful.
    rch-view1:~/try:146> uname -a
    SunOS rch-view1 5.8 Generic_117350-12 sun4u sparc SUNW,Netra-T12

    Bus error

The stack trace looks corrupted. If you run dbx by hand, does
it also leave a core file? Can you try using pstack on that
    core file?
Also, can you run 'truss -f' on dbx when you start it and show
us the last 50 lines of output?

  • Error Using Sun ONE Application Framework

I am new to the Sun ONE Application Framework. I started by following the tutorial specifically for Java Studio. I get an error when trying to add a ViewBean.
    Confirm refresh invalid JSP template
The current default JSP template [DefaultPage] is invalid. Do you want to rename it as [DefaultPage_invalid] and refresh [DefaultPage] from NBM archive?
I reinstalled the development environment to see if something was corrupted, but I am still receiving the same error. I am running in Windows XP Pro SP 1.
I installed as test on another machine running WIndows 2000, and it works fine.
    I would appreciate any recommendations.
    Thank you

I have been continuing to research this error.
I installed Sun ONE Studio 5 update 1 on a different machine running Windows XP Profressional SP1 and still had the same issue.
I installed it on RedHat Linux 9 and it worked just fine.
Just seems to be isolated to using the Sun ONE Application Framework development tools in Windows XP.
